2. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD.
I mademydouble page spread on InDesign as this software allowed me to add columns, which is a necessary convention for a magazinedouble page spread
article as it gives moreof a structure to the text and makesit look a lot more professional and organised.
When Ifirst made the document, I had to makesure that I made3pages as that was the onlyway that I could get the two pages together for the double page
spread, we just didn't use the top page.
3. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD.
I wanted mymagazineto bestructuredin columns with a
few picturesto show what I am writing about.
Thefont I used for the title was ‘TennesseeSF’
4. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD.
This is the tool that Ihad to use to create text boxes to write mytitle
and double page spread article.
This is the tool that Ihad to use to create boxes to put my
photographs in for mydouble page spread.
For example:
This is the tool that Iused to createany
shapes onmydouble page spread. I used this
whenI created the circlesto surroundmy
page number.
5. FRONT COVER.
I used Photoshop to create myFront cover page
because I found that it worked a lot better than
InDesign.
6. FRONT COVER.
When Icreated thedocument, I had to makesure that I
changedthesize of the page so that it was rightfor thefront
cover.
I had to changethe Documenttype from Clipboard to
International paper, and then Icould changethe size to A4.
7. FRONT COVER.
This is what I used to add anytext to myfront
cover. I used this for the masthead, cover lines,
date, price etc.
This is the tool that Iused to change upthe colours of the fonts I was using. I used this tool
a lot as the colour scheme for the front cover was what the rest of myproduction work
was going to follow, thereforeveryimportant to get right.
8. BILLBOARD.
I made my billboard on Photoshop as I found that it
was the best option to use. When I made the new
document, I had to change the dimensions to
centimetres instead of pixels, then I had to adjust
the width and height so that it was the correct size
to be a billboard.
10. BILLBOARD.
To add the image of the Cleethorpes Life Front Cover, I went to File, Open and
I then opened the file that I wanted to use for my Billboard.
11. BILLBOARD.
I then looked at the
different fonts that I
could use that would
look good with my
magazine front cover. I
decided to stick to two
of the same fonts that I
used on my front cover. I
made the price in red
font as you want the
price to stand out if it is
appealing to the target
audience and makes
them want to buy the
magazine.
