Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU is infamous as the Mecca of Marxism in India
Set up by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1969 using taxpayer money as a payback for the
Communists who supported her Government
Basic nature: a Communist indoctrination centre than an academic institution
Has done more to damage Indian public discourse than any other institution
Notable alumni include Prakash Karat, Baburam Bhattarai, Sitaram Yechury, Bipan Chandra,
Sarvepalli Gopal, and Romila Thapar
Campus is characterized by extreme Communist brainwashing on campus, advocacy for
separatist causes, support for violence against the state, hatred against Hindus, and so on.
