This is a special type of turbo generator which may find its usage in typical chemical plants. Here the steam in turbine comes from sulphuric acid plant. So no need of coal handling plant like in thermal power plants.
4. Today we will discuss on
Over view of Turbo-Generator (TG) system
Speed control system
Vaccum creation process
Gear Box
Parts of Generator
Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)
Brushless Excitation
Synchronization
Interconnection b/w incomers & outgoings lines
Load distribution of TG
14. Automatic Voltage Regulator
(AVR)
To supply dc excitation voltage after initial
start up by converting alternator‘s output ac
voltage to dc excitation voltage .
To maintain the alternator‘s output voltage
at 415V ac.
Adjust excitation voltage in order to adjust
alternator‘s output voltage with either grid
voltage during synchronization process.
18. LOAD DISTRIBUTION OF TG
SAP II.
NEW MCC OF SAP I.
ZEOLITE BUILDING.
TANK FARM AREA.
RO PLANT (REVERSE OSMOSIS).
UTILITY PCC.
PACKAGE BOILER OF DM PLANT.
19. SUGGESTIONS
Old relays should be replaced with
microcontroller and microprocessor based relay.
PLC based Control System should be
implemented.
New filter less CPC should be installed as filters
can only be cleaned during shutdown process.
Ammeters should be installed in order to check
individual loads.
