5. •Because Asean Economic Integration is e-commerce
business opportunities for individual online retailers,
SME entrepreneurs and medium scale enterprise.
7. •Because there are products, by-products and
materials that are not available in the
Philippines, and China is a good source that can
supply items.
8. •Because of there are many
misconceptions regarding custom,
duty free for importing.

Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.
Ten countries with strategic geographic advantage
to form themselves as a single market. ASEAN
community as a region that aimed to be highly
competitive and fully integrated into the global
economy.
11. ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY –
A region for equitable economic development for
products, human recourses, trade financing ,
enhanced infrastructure and communications
connectivity, development of electronic transactions
through e-ASEAN / Commerce.
12.
13. As entrepreneurs we should be smart, open to options in sourcing
our inventories, merchandise and materials. On the other hand as
entrepreneurs, we should be outstanding in distribution.
Buy Low – Sell High = PROFIT
14. We should be importing & exporting; we
should be EXPORTING and IMPORTING.
Global economy will stop without cross-
border trading.
IMPORT & EXPORT is a big contributors of
a country’s GNP.

promotes economic protectionism under the basic socialpromotes economic protectionism under the basic social
and business premise--and business premise-- BUY FILIPINO!BUY FILIPINO!
16. For Ecommerce102
YES.., BUY FILIPINO!!!
It is important to buy our own; to do that is
actually empowering your own market,
which is actually people who are buyers of
your business.
Buying our own is supporting local economy
which is our social responsibility as citizens
of a country.
17. For Ecommerce102
YES.., BUY FILIPINO!!!
As entrepreneurs situated and is benefiting
from the infrastructure of your localities;
BUY FILIPINO is actually supporting
your self.
18. For Ecommerce102
YES.., BUY FILIPINO!!!
We believe in the call for national economic
protectionism., but we should not be limited to
buying merchandize, raw materials, by-
products that are not available in the
Philippines.
19. For Ecommerce102
YES.., BUY FILIPINO!!!
As entrepreneurs, our mandate is to focus on
the objectives of our businesses; Buy Filipino
should not be limited to sourcing outside of the
country, if what we need for our business
objectives are not available within.
20. There should always be a balance between
EXPORTING, IMPORTING AND BUY FILIPINO
•A good economy is dependent on the balance
between “the in” – “the out” – “the stay” flow of
goods and services.
•To be an EXTREMIST, one after another will tip-
off the fragile balance of the economic scale.
•A good balance economy will resolve many
political and social issues any country is facing.
23. CONSUMERS – DRIVEN
NEEDS –
CONSUMER’S DECISION TO BUY
are heavily influenced by price and time
needed.
24. CONSUMERS - DRIVEN
NEEDS
LIKE BASICS THINGS WE NEED TO BUY FOR
OUR DAILY CONSUMPTION.
Example:
Food -- Rice, Meat, Condiments, Water, others.
Cleaners -- Toiletries, Laundry, Kitchen, others
MORE & MORE
25. CONSUMERS - DRIVEN
NEEDS
Decision in buying NEEDS is normally based on
PRICE &VALUE FOR MONEY.
Of course there are other factors that influenced the market buying
behaviors , but the simplest and most basic that influenced consumers is
the PRICE.
It is UNCOMMON as far as market behavior for a consumer to buy
consumable items they need based on preference of being UNIQUE.
WE ALWAYS BUY WHAT WE NEED BASED ON VALUE FOR
MONEY.
26. CONSUMERS - DRIVEN
NEEDS
AGAIN -
It is uncommon as far as market behavior for a consumer to
buy consumable items they need because they want to be
UNIQUE.
THEY WILL ALWAYS GO FOR WHAT IS VALUE FOR
MONEY.
27. CONSUMERS DRIVEN
WITH NEEDS
-- normally do not need items that are
standing out as different, generally speaking,
as long as the price is right, it is value for
money, it is likely to be sold.
28. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS – BUYING DECISIONS ARE
INFLUENCED with the intention to
STANDOUT.
To STANDOUT are pchological needs of any
human being for individuality; impulse driven
by competitive nature which is innate survival
characteristic of any living species.
29. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
As consumers buying decision for the things we
WANT are primarily influenced by our desire to
be UNIQUE .
To be unique or to be different is basic buying
instinct of any consumer with the urge to position
ourselves in the society. The desire to assure
his/her position in a group is nature’s way of
motivating individuals to survive life.
30. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
As consumers appetite to be unique RESULTS TO
BUYING BEHAVIOR.
That is creating a demand for products that are not
available in his/her country.
That is creating demand that are rare, limited, one of a
kind, which is supposed to be hard to find.
Consumer “WANTS” has fade the way for the science of
marketing, the ART OF BRANDING, the prerequisites of
imaging appealing to the psychological sensory of the
consumers to want products.
31. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
Question:
Would you agree; the majority of Filipino
consumers living in urban communities has a
big demand for foreign brands?
32. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
Question:
What could be the factors why Filipinos are more
incline to buy foreign brands and products instead
of buying our own, Filipino made products?
33. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
Answer:
We can enumerate hundreds of factors and all can be
qualified as an acceptable reasons why; but one answer
will summed it all up.
WANTS - DRIVEN BY BUYING BEHAVIOUR TO
STANDOUT -- and brand, product marketers and
advocates understand how to suggest, how to maneuver,
how to pitch, making consumers believe that these
products are what they need to STANDOUT.
34. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
Answer:
Not disregarding other factors like; product quality, pricing,
availability, design and functionality, but reality is many
Filipinos “WANTS” foreign made products and brand to
satisfy their psychological needs to be their own individual
based on the suggestion of foreign brand campaigns.
35. CONSUMERS -- DRIVEN
WANTS –
Answer:
And somehow Philippine made products, brands and designs,
even if it can offer quality and uniqueness to the Filipinos as a
local market, it is still not a top choice for our local consumers.
The demands for locally made products are not there to sustain
the local manufacturers.
The demands are overwhelmed with the Americans and
Europeans brands that can be found and be sourced out in
China and Hongkong.
36. Question:
Not unless it’s a costume party, do
you see this look being advertised as
fashion trend within the Philippines?
NO!
It is not a popular look, its trivial
and its outdated, within the
Philippines as a statement it could
be accepted, but as a fashion trend
for the local market, it will be very
subjective.
37. It maybe a crazy idea, but with a little
design twitching and with the right
marketing approach, regardless of ethnicity,
based on psychological need of any
individual to standout, ecom102 believe,
Filipino products can offer a different look
for individuality needed . Therefore, it deserve
a good position in the international market.
But isn’t it the Filipino look
can offer uniqueness mixed
with parties abroad?
38. And because of the advent of technology,
because we are in the age where countries
as market can be within the reach just by a click of a button,
where importation and exportation is not as difficult as it used to be,
where countries become economic allies and regions
are forming as one superpower,
with the onset of ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY,
FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS, WE FILIPINOS ARE NOW MORE
EQUIPPED TO TRADE CROSS-BORDERS.
That is why we at www.ecommerce102.com
