An undergraduate design thesis spanning the future. A new revolution- As India is an agriculture-based economy, the project, with production at the heart of the concept and land conservation in perspective, attempts to employ alternative methods through architecture, to make the growth independent of nature. The proposed structure is envisioned to act as the new urbanity inducing a new revolution in the agricultural industry through architecture. With a rich but dissipating agricultural and cultural history, Yavat seeks out to modernize with time. In a world of ever-increasing population and simultaneously decreasing fertile land and resources, the project emphasizes on the importance of production of food and the impact by the natural environment on it by redefining agriculture through architecture. After realizing and understanding the predictions for the future, the project seeks to urbanize agriculture, providing food at the point of consumption, resulting in a significantly reduced footprint, hence introducing a new revolution and tapping into the future possibilities of architecture and agriculture.
