Isro Space Station -- By Diya Kulkarni With space investigation and the technological advances, one can‘t help but wonder, what the future will look like. Space exploration being one of the main upcoming advances, has gotten people thinking and wondering what it is all about. For eg: when India was the first to land on mars (Mars Orbit Mission) also known as Mangalyaan , (mangal – mars , yaan – vehicle) the whole nation was proud and a hype for learning more about space and education in the field, arose. But, very few people had access to this information. India now plans to have its own space station in the future, SDSC SHAR, the Space Port of India provides world class launch base infrastructure for integration and launching of Indian Satellites and Foreign customer Satellites. The existing mission control complex at SDSC is well integrated for missions to space from launch pad 1&2 at Shriharikota. For new manned missions to space from launch pad number 3 a new mission control complex and visitors complex has been proposed. This new space complex will provide launch control facilities and infrastructure for controlling and launching of new capsules aka manned missions to space. One of the main reasons of building this comtrol complex is that it will increase the frequency of orbital launches by ISRO. I thus propose to establish a new Space Station at Sriharikota.
