2. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 12
ٰى
َدُه
ْ
ل
َ
ل ا
َن
ْي
َ
لَع نِإ
to bestow
guidance
upon Us It is surely
It is surely for upon us to bestow guidance;
3. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 12
Guidance from God comes in
different forms and shapes:
1. Intellect
2. Fitrah (innate human
disposition)
3. Prophets and Messengers
4. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 13

اْلَو َ
ةَرِخ
ْ
ْل
َ
ل اَ َ
َل نِإَو
and the present
world
the world to
come
belong to
us
And
indeed
And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us.
5. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 13
ACCEPTING or REJECTING
the guidance which comes from
God is up to us – He does not
benefit from it – and He has
given us the outcomes of the
path we choose…
6. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 14

ت اًار
َ
ن ْم
ُ
ك
ُ
تْر
َ
ذ
ْ
ن
َ
أ
َ
ف
the fierce the fire So then I warn you all
And so I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely.
7. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 14
Allah describes one aspect of
the punishment of the world to
come as “ ًارا
َ
نى
َّ
ظ
َ
ل
َ
ت ” or “a fierce
fire” – however this phrase, in
the Arabic, relates an
“unknown” type of punishment.
8. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 15

اْل َّلِإ ا

صَي
َ
َّل
the most
wretched
except shall ever into it None
None except the most wicked will enter it.
9. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 15
Both GOOD and BAD people are judged on the Scale of Allah – some are
‘VERY GOOD’ and others are ‘VERY BAD’ and others are “IN BETWEEN’.
10. SURAH AL-LAYL – VERSE 16

تَو َبذ
َ
ك يِاَّل
and turns away
(from it)
