ِورُد ُّالص
And whoever disbelieves, let not his disbelief
grieve you; to Us is their return, then will We
inform them of what they did surely Allah is the
Knower of what is in the breasts.

We give them to enjoy a little, then will We
drive them to a severe chastisement.

1. One of the ways used to recognize things around us and to choose the right
path is to compare the good people from the bad people. ( َنممِلسُیوجهه...وَنم
)كفر
2. The Prophet was concerned about everyone – even those who were misguided
and disbelievers and he worked to guide them. ( فالیحزنككفرهم )
3. The Prophets are also in need of consoling from God. ( فالیحزنككفرهم )
4. The responsibility of the leaders towards the Divine is to merely guide people
– they are not responsible for the outcome which the people choose. ( وَنمكفر
فالیحزنككفره )

5. The disbelief of the people has an outcome on their eventual fate. ( فالیحزنك
مرجعهم الینا )كفره
6. The disbelievers should not rejoice as their eventual end is the house of
retribution. (مرجعهم )الینا
7. The beginning and end of all humans is only God. (مرجعهم )الینا
8. There are two things which give way to a spiritually expansive heart and the
removal of all grief for the believers in regards to the deviance of others – one
is their focus on the knowledge of God and the other is their reliance on a Day
of Judgement. ( مرجعهم الینا كفره فالیحزنك...دورّصال بذات علیم )

9. On the Resurrection, everyone will be brought face to face with their actions.
(عملوا بما ّئهمب)فنن
10. Allah knows the intents and reasons for why actions are performed, which are
deep within a person’s heart and He will manifest these on the Resurrection.
( ّئهمبفنن...دوّصال بذات علیم ّّللا ّنا )
11. Keeping in mind the punishments on the Resurrection is one way to stop a
person from his obstinacy towards disbelief. (عملوا بما ّئهمب)فنن
12. We must not let the material blessings beguile us as they are nothing
compared to the everlasting blessings of the world to come. (قلیال عهمّت)نم

13. We must always weigh the pros and cons of our actions with the world to
come. ( عهمّتنمقلیالّمثّهمرنضطالىعذابغلیظ )
14. The disbelief which the disbelievers show today is something they
themselves have chosen ( وَنمرَفَك ) however the punishment of tomorrow
is something obligatory upon them to experience. (ّهمر)»نضط
15. Material comfort is not a sign of one being felicitous. ( عهمّتنمقلیالّمث
ّهمرنضطالىعذابغلیظ )

And if you ask them who created the heavens and
the earth, they will certainly say: Allah. Say: (All)
praise is due to Allah; nay! most of them do not
know.

Lessons to Learn from Verses 25
1. Even the polytheists acknowledge Allah is being their creator. ( ولئنسألتهممن
قَلَخ...ّنلیقولّّللا )
2. The polytheists implicitly acknowledge that they are on the wrong path. ( ولئن
سألتهممنقَلَخ...ّنلیقولّّللا )
3. Everything in creation comes from God and thus, it is only He who is worthy
of praise. ( قلّالحمدلل )
4. We should verbally declare our praise and glory of Allah. ( قلّالحمدلل )
5. Normally, the misguidance of the polytheists is due to their ignorance. ( بل
اكثرهمالیعلمون )

اْلَو ِاتَاوَم َّالس ِِف اَم ِ

What is in the heavens and the earth is
Allah's; surely Allah is the Self-sufficient,
the Praised.

Lessons to Learn from Verses 26
1. God does not need anyone or anything – not in His act of creation, nor in
His maintaining the universe. ( خلقموات ّالس...ّللمافىموات ّالس...هوّىالغن )
2. It is only God who is the Creator and Maintainer ( ّللمافىموات ّالسواالرض )
and only He is needless and is worthy of praise ( ّناّّللاهوّىالغنالحمید ).
3. The encouragement to praise God which was mentioned in the previous
verse is NOT because He needs us to praise Him. ( قلّالحمدلل...هوّىالغن
)الحمید
