How to manage it all
•   Social Media Management System (SMMS)
    • Most major brands use them to help with the
      governance of their content and editorial calendar
    • Customize messages for each channel
    • Some are cheap, some are expensive

•   Can get started for around $10/month per user
    • Sprout Social - $
    • HootSuite - $$
    • Argyle Social - $$$
    • Shoutlet - $$$
    • there are a bunch of these...
•   It’s like the iPod. It wasn’t the first, it’s just the biggest.

•   900 million users and growing

•   Started by Mark Zuckerberg at Harvard (documented
    in the award-winning movie)

•   Still one of the more personal areas of the social web,
    but that’s changing

•   Most popular photo-sharing site on the web
    •250 million photos uploaded daily

•   It’s Facebook.

•   Average visit is 20 minutes.

•   If you want to take the message to the people, you have
    to go where the people are. They are on Facebook.

    immediately notified of new content

•   Every video that is on the website should be uploaded
    to YouTube if possible

•   YouTube videos can be embedded on Facebook and
    Twitter as well

•   Videos do not have to be overproduced
    • Quick field videos with a FlipCam or iPhone
