This document outlines a three-step model for developing a successful Microsoft Teams governance strategy: 1) Conduct a workshop to analyze the organization's Teams workload and discuss options for naming conventions, external access policies, expiration policies, backups, privacy settings, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, and retention policies. 2) Finalize the governance strategy based on the workshop. 3) Implement the strategy, which includes configuring Teams settings. The document provides examples and advice for various policy options.
