Co-founded in 1981 by Mr. Ahmed Al-
Said, In partnership with Panda United
under its General Manager back then,
Hamoud Al-Ibrahim, the first Herfy
restaurant was opened in Riyadh that
same year.
In 1994, Kingdom Holding took control of
Panda United’s stake in the company
and in 1998, Al Azizia Panda United was
incorporated with the Savola Group.
Since then, Herfy has been operating in
partnership with the Savola Group.

7. The new state-of-the-art Herfy Meat Processing Plant started operating in 2005 at the Second Industrial City in Riyadh.
It produces high-quality beef and chicken meat products for Herfy restaurants. In 2007. The new plant is considered as
the leading meat processing plant in the Middle East. As proof of its commitment to high quality standards, Herfy Meat
Products Processing Plant has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 22000: 2005 as well
as the SFDA certificate.
