» Digital learning fellow appointed to lead the development
and implementation of the digital learning strategy
» Based on the Digital Student workshop approach,
workshops held to canvass the experiences and
expectations of the students
» Findings from the workshops informed the digital
learning strategy
» Digital learning ambassadors recruited from the student
body to support the development of new digital skills
» A ‘BYO’ policy developed based on the Jisc BYOD toolkit

Using iPads to deliver a personalised IT
and learning Strategy
» iPad minis rolled out to all staff and students
(Students may either purchase or return their iPads when
they leave the college)
» 70 student Apple ambassadors appointed to
offer support and training
» Feedback indicates that in addition to making
lessons more exciting, interactive, engaging
and relevant, use of the iPads is also
encouraging self - study and independent
learning outside the college
