Fitness Is A Lifestyle
1. As you get older, your body loses muscle mass and muscle density ,so it is important to make
the most of the muscles you have. Starting a routine with weights not only keeps you fit, but
makes you stronger late into your life. Do your best to stick with it.
It takes the body about a month to adapt to lifestyle changes. That’s why it’s recommended to
stop or start something for 30 days to break or learn a new habit. So if you keep up your work
outs for at least a month, you’ll be on your way to making a great lifestyle change.
To maintain your fitness level, you must be consistent. Rather than participating in extreme
exercise and dieting occasionally, you should develop the habit of practicing a moderate
exercise and diet plan daily, on an ongoing basis. When you get 15 minutes to half an hour of
light to moderate exercise daily and eat a balanced, healthful diet, you will gain and maintain the
best in fitness.
Pay up front for the gym and your trainer! Sometimes money is the best commitment we can
make that will insure we will exercise regularly. If we have already paid the fees for the gym
and for our trainer we will be much more likely to take advantage of the services we’ve paid for!
To help you stick with your fitness goals, find yourself a workout buddy. This person will help
you stay accountable for showing up to your workouts. Having a buddy can also keep you
motivated on the days when you’d rather not do your workout. Laughing and talking as you
work out will allow you to work out longer, which causes you to burn more calories than if you
were just working out alone.
Set realistic fitness goals by considering the time you have available and your current level of
physical fitness. By setting realistic goals you are less likely to get discouraged and give up.
Goals also help you track your progress so you can adjust your goals as necessary to achieve
an optimum fitness level.
