Facebook's acquisition of WhatsApp for a whopping $19 billion has left the technology world in a state of delight and media circles are abuzz discussing the decision of social networking giant of acquiring instant messaging behemoth. As per December 2013, WhatsApp declared that it is handing more than 20 billion messages on a daily basis and its daily active users are 450 million. The two main reasons, which pushed Facebook towards WhatsApp were - WhatsApp's popularity in younger audience and its presence in developing countries where Facebook is still behind.
