2. Doordarshan National to now live telecast daily Aarti from Shri
Ramlala Temple in Ayodhya every day
Doordarshan National will now live telecast the daily Aarti from
Shri Ramlala Temple in Ayodhya every day at 6:30 AM.
Devotees will be able to take divine Darshan of Lord Shri Ramlala
every day from now onwards.
The Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala was performed by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on the 22nd of January.
The newly built temple witnesses heavy rush of devotees every
day to offer prayers and have Darshan of Ramlala.

3. Holy month of Ramzan begins across the country
The fasting holy month of Ramzan has begun across the
country today.
The Ruyat-e-Hilal or Moon Sighting Committees announced
the sighting of the moon last evening.
The worshippers offered special night prayers called
"Taraweeh", in local mosques in large numbers last night,
which will continue throughout the month.
Ramzan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and
Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated at the culmination of the fasting
month.
In Gulf countries, today is the second day of Ramzan.

4. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah
will be visiting Hyderabad today.
He will be interacting with BJP social media strategists
and will be addressing a meeting of polling booth
presidents of the party.
The meeting called ‘Vijay Sankalp Sammelan’ is
scheduled to be held at L.B. Stadium at 1 p.m. Mr. Shah is
also expected to give direction to Telangana state BJP
leadership on the strategy to be adopted for the
upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
This is Mr Shah’s first visit to Telangana after the recent
Assembly elections, in which BJP secured eight seats in
the 119-member House.

5. CBI arrests Ziauddin Mollah, Didar Baksh, Faroque Akunji in
Sandeshkhali ED attack incident
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested
Ziauddin Mollah, Didar Baksh and Faroque Akunji in the
Sandeshkhali ED attack incident.
Earlier, CBI had issued summons to nine persons in the 5th of
January attack on ED at Sandeshkhali case.
They had been asked to be present at the agency's Nizam
Palace office in Kolkata where the CBI had questioned them for
hours before the arrest.
Among them, Ziauddin Mollah is known to be Shahjahan's most
trusted associate.

arrives in Delhi on 3-day visit to India
Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik of Belarus arrived in Delhi on
Monday evening on a three-day visit to India. He will hold
meeting with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on
Tuesday.
The External Affairs Ministry said there will be productive
discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual
interest and furthering India-Belarus partnership.

7. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif recommends 19
member list to President Zardari for his new
cabinet
Pakistan's newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has
recommended 19 names to President Asif Ali Zardari to be
inducted into the Federal Cabinet.
The 19 names, which were sent to newly elected President Zardari
as part of a letter, include 12 Members of the National Assembly
and three senators as Federal Ministers among others.
It came a day after Prime Minister Sharif held a marathon meeting,
which continued late into the night, to finalise the names, the
Dawn newspaper reported.
Pakistan Muslim League President Shehbaz Sharif was sworn in as
the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan on the 4th of February.

8. The High Commission of India in Bangladesh organised a
seminar on 'India-Bangladesh Tourism Fair' in Dhaka on
Sunday.
The High Commission organised the event in collaboration
with India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry
(IBCCI) and Bangladesh outbound Tour Operators Association
(BOTOA).
Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner of India to
Bangladesh Pranay Verma highlighted significant strides in
connectivity made over the last decade that has boosted not
just bilateral trade but also cultural & people-to-people
connections.

9. An earthquake with epicentre at Judaga of Bajura district in
Sudurpaschim province of Nepal occurred on Monday evening.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and
Research Centre, Lainchaur, the earthquake measuring 4.3 on
the Richter scale was recorded at 4:56 pm today.
The western part of the country has been experiencing tremors
quite frequently recently.

10. Mirabai Chanu to head to Paris to train ahead
of upcoming Olympics
The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and
Sports has approved weightlifter Mirabai Chanu's proposal to train at
LA FERTE-MILON, Paris to prepare ahead for the upcoming Olympic
Games.
Mirabai Chanu, who won a Silver Medal in the Tokyo Olympics, will head
to Paris nearly a month ahead of her Olympic event, to acclimatise to
the weather and prepare for the mega event.
The MOC has also approved proposals of Equestrian player Anush
Agarwalla to compete in eight competitions and buy equipment for his
horses.

11. Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic
crowned Miss World 2024 in Mumbai
Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic has been crowned the
71st Miss World in a grand ceremony held in Mumbai yesterday.
The 24-year-old Pyszková competed against contestants from
115 countries. Last year's winner, Miss World 2022 Karolina
Bielawska of Poland crowned Krystyna as the 71st Miss World.
Meanwhile, Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon was crowned the First
Runner-Up at the beauty pageant.
According to Miss World Organisation, Krystyna Pyszková is a
student, volunteer, and international model.
The 24-year-old is studying for two degrees in Law and Business
Administration while working as a model.
