Rhetoric Techniques In Seaworld
SeaWorld has experienced many fatal accident over the years. One of the most calamitous incidents
was the death of Dawn Brancheau. SeaWorld was confronted about the safety of the trainers. Gabriela
Cowperthwaine, the director of Blackfish, proclaims that keeping whales in captivity is inhumane and
treacherous to whales and humans. The audience is supposed to see how harmless the whales are
throughout the movie. Blackfish is used to portray killer whales as innocent and harmless. The film
uses different types of rhetoric, such as: pathos, ethos, and logos. Cowperthwaine uses logos
throughout the film to prove to the audience that killer whales are not dangerous. In the film, Howard
Garrett, Orca Researcher, says There is no record of an orca doing any harm to a human in the wild.
He is exploiting the topic of whales becoming aggressive when they are help in captivity. ... Show

The commercials are used to get children s attention about SeaWorld. SeaWorld is used for
entertainment and vacations. The SeaWorld executives told lies about having any connections with
Loro Parque. The executives lied because a man was killed by a killer whale. SeaWorld actually sent
the whales to that park and trained the trainers. Ethos is used in Brancheaus autopsy report. The report
was very detailed. Reports used Brancheaus death as a gain for them to prove that whales aren t
dangerous. The other trainer that was with Brancheau was pushed to say that he saw the whale grab
her ponytail, even though it was really her arm. Reporters made her death seem like it was her fault
because she had a long ponytail and the whale was able to grab

1973 Arab Oil Embargo And Its Effect On The US
Part D: Analysis:
In 1973, Arab states and Israel were in the midst of war. In retaliation of the U.S. resupplying Israeli
military, Arab members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) initiated an
embargo against the United States and other countries that supported Israel. This embargo banned
petroleum exports to certain countries, introduced cuts in oil production, and had a drastic effect on
the U.S. economy (Oil Embargo, 1973 1974). It led to quadrupling oil prices and oil shortages that led
to a widespread crisis across the United States and other countries facing the embargo. The crisis
caused a global realization that the world seemed to be running out of oil and provided incentive to
look to alternative energy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran has been considered the most significant, lasting effect of the
Arab Oil Embargo. However, these changes were much less direct than those in the energy sector.
Even though the embargo led to the United States allying with Saudi Arabia when they had previously
been enemies, it can be argued that the embargo was not a direct cause of this shifting alliance (Myre).
Furthermore, the fact that the United States is now rivals with Iran is more the result of the overthrow
of the shah, who was effectively a puppet of the United States, than a consequence of the embargo
itself (Myre). While, the effects of these changing dynamics are still seen today and are undoubtedly
significant, the relationship between the embargo and the changing U.S. energy sector and policy is
much more visible and direct. What s more, the argument that the embargo most influenced U.S.
energy is backed with an abundance of evidence, while the evidence suggesting the changing
international relations resulted from the embargo is shaky and tentative at best. Due to this, it is
apparent that the claim that the embargo affected U.S. energy policy most significantly is the correct

The s Defense Of Icons
In Defense of Icons
Throughout history The Church and a number of Christians including myself have found themselves
defending their use of icons against the views of individuals who felt that the icons were a form of
idolatry. These individuals also know as Iconoclasts have a staunch position against the use of icons.
Their position is based on interpretation of the Old Testament law stated in Exodus 20:4 You must not
make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the
sea . Is this truly contrary to the Old Testament law or is it simply preserving through time the
incarnation of Christ, the Gospels and the history of the Christian church? I will give you a brief
history, and then offer my personal opinion to the subject. Let s define what is an icon and give a brief
history of icons. An icon is sacred art, usually a fresco or mosaic of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary,
martyred Saints or scenes from the bible that are given special veneration. This type of sacred art first
appeared in the catacombs were the first Christians would gather to worship during periods of
persecution. The scenes depicted were of Christ s family, gospel stories or stories from the Hebrew
scriptures. As Christianity began to grow, and after the Edict of Milan the Emperor Constantine
decreed that Christians were no longer to be persecuted. In response to this new decree, by the fourth
century icons became a way of teaching the Gospel and a way to

Hundreds of civilizations have up and fallen over thousands of years. However, the foremost eminent

This resulted within the mingling of the Chinese and Indian individuals and therefore the integration
of their arts. Chinese artists that reborn to Buddhism then began to draw photos and sculpt pictures of
Buddha and his teachings. On the opposite hand, the Zhou had not been influenced by any major faith.
Instead, most art was primarily based off of the previous kinfolk, the Shang. They used bronze to form
sculptures and Jade to form ornaments to embellish their palaces and shrines. The Chow palaces were
primarily product of massive wood beams. Han design was conjointly similar, they featured temples
that closely resembled Indian stupas dedicated to Buddha. However, Buddhism isn t the sole belief
that powerfully affected civilizations.
At first, the Chow dynasty s scheme thought about emperors to be specially others, then came flush

The Absurd
The Absurd: What then is implied by the idea of the Absurd? In spite of the view passed on by pop
culture, the Absurd, in any event not what Camus had expressed, that it doesn t just allude to some
dubious discernment that current life is full of mysteries, incoherencies, and scholarly disarray. Rather,
as he accentuates and tries to clarify, the Absurd communicates an essential disharmony, a deplorable
contrariness, in our reality. As a result, he contends that the Absurd is the result of an impact or
showdown between our human yearning for request, which means, and reason in life and the clear,
impassive quiet of the universe : The crazy is not in man nor on the planet, but rather in their nearness
together... it is the main bond joining them. (The Myth of Sisyphus, Chapter 2, Absurd Walls) The
Revolt: The buddy subject to the Absurd in Camus oeuvre is Revolt. What is revolt? Essentially
characterized, it is the Sisyphean soul of insubordination even with the Absurd. All the more in fact
and less figuratively, it is a soul of restriction against any apparent injustice, abuse, or outrage in the
human condition. Genuine revolt is performed for the self ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Similarities Between Sal And Lex In Jurassic Park
All the characters are different, but they all have a few key similarities. Tom wanted to be independent
and noble, but Sal and Lex both wanted to understand, from Sal wanting to know about her mom the
Lex craving to know her situation and safety. This shows how there can be connections between books
that do not have the same plot, story, characters, or even timeline as others.
For example, Sal s mother passed away in a bus accident and this consequently compels her to want to
know more. This is important for the reader to know as it helps them understand what is happening as
the story develops. It also helps them understand the reason that Sal went on this road trip, to see her
mother s grave. Because of this, it helps the reader understand that Sal is not bringing her mother
home physically, but mentally will never forget this journey. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Lex grew up in a suburban home with everything she ever wanted, but now that her parents are getting

accustomed to a lavish lifestyle, not having her life torn up and being in danger from savage
dinosaurs. This shows the change keeps the readers informed on why Michael Crichton is doing what

Benjamin Lev s Struggle With Their Ultra Orthodox...
Critical Lens Hypothesis: Asher Lev s struggle to reconcile his gift with his ultra orthodox religious
beliefs can be explained in Freudian terms. The human psyche is an incredibly complex system. It
controls us in every aspect of our lives, rewarding us for a job well done while also making us feel
guilty for each mistake we make. Our psyche is influenced by the world in which we live, by our
immediate family and friends and also by those who we will meet during our lives. Each and every
stage of life will result in us experiencing more, and in doing so, those experiences will shape who we
will become. Our psyche is made up of three very important parts: the id, the ego, and the superego.
The id is the primitive and instinctive component of personality. It consists of all the biological
components of personality, including the life instinct and the death instinct. The id is the only part of
our psyche which is present from birth. It is concerned only with the immediate satisfaction of our
needs and has no respect for the consequences or impact on other people. The ego is the part which
attempts to reconcile our id s irrational tendencies with the realities of the world. The ego is tasked
with working out realistic ways of satisfying the id s demands, often postponing satisfaction to avoid
negative consequences of society. The superego s function is to control the id s impulses, especially
those which society forbids and to reward us when we do good (ideal

Narrative Essay On Camp Snoopy
The first time going to camp snoopy was a huge deal because I was only 4 years old. I was with my
close family, which are my brothers and cousins, and of course my mom and grandma. When we were
walking into camp snoopy for the first time it was like a tree in a forest and all I could hear hear
squeal of kids screaming, and the rides rumbling. The first ride we decided to go on was the elegant
peanuts swing. When we got on the swing I felt the chilly metal of the seat and the smooth breeze of

We advently saw a pinch of sun before it went away, and then we were first in line. So me, my mom,

the lift we hit some rapids and we went by the home run chair; then all a sudden we went down the
hill after the drop my heart was racing. Then we went up another lift to go to the massive drop my
heart was racing, my stomach felt like it was going to explode. Then we went straight down, and we
made a massive wave making water go everywhere. Till this day the log chute is one the scariest rides

Working With A Debate Lawyer Essay
A probate lawyer is one of the best tools to have at your disposal if you have been chosen to be the
executor of an individual s will or if you are the beneficiary of someone s estate, mostly because the
probate lawyer can ensure that everything is done correctly when it comes to distributing all of the
assets. Listed below are two of the many reasons to work with a probate lawyer. They Can Ensure
That All Required Debts Are Paid Correctly The most important task that many probate lawyers can
help you with is ensuring that all the required debts are paid correctly by the estate. For example, the
probate lawyer can look at the various types of debts that were left behind by the estate and ensure that
not only are the required debts paid but that they will be paid in the right order. This is important
because there can be a number of fines and penalties that can be assessed if you paid the wrong debt
before someone who held a higher priority debt or if you begin paying other debts before paying the
estate taxes. However, determining who has priority over who when it comes to paying these debts
can be extremely tricky as they can vary quite a bit depending on your area, so it is always best to
consult with a probate lawyer to see what the laws in your particular area dictate. They Can Help ...

The Most Effective General Managers
From: Mr Xolani Xulu Master in Business Administration Student
A REPORT ON THE MOST EFFECTIVE GENERAL MANAGERS
1. Executive summary
According to Boyer and Associates (2010), a General Manager (GM) is not a job but a position . He
further states that a GM is a focal point and has the authority to impact immediately any area of a
business. This tells us that such a position must be occupied by someone that has relevant experience,
the right attitude and necessary skills to make a positive contribution.
It is therefore crucial to understand the characteristics to look for when employing a GM. In this
report, your attention will be drawn to the most relevant characteristics to be possessed by a GM.
2. Research ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
* The changing economic conditions of South Africa will soon require a GM to possess a postgraduate
qualification in order to cope. This can also be explored as an option from now going forward.
4. Possible shortfalls in general management
One of the shortfalls is that, not all the time that a GM using charismatic leadership style may be fully
effective. Boyer and Associates stated that charismatic leaders, ...are threatened by individuals who are
free thinkers and strive to develop their own skills .
Myres (2012) from Milpark Business School stated that, GMs who used to be experts in some
functions find it difficult to adjust to management. This could mean an organization is not being fully
managed when Managers are not managing.
If a GM has limited managerial experience, tasks are delegated without accountability. Things go
loose and later the organization operates at an average level. This links to the inability of identifying
potential and creativity that needs to be enhanced. Staff never finds satisfaction in these cases.
A GM that fails to take quick but informed decisions may delay business growth. However, some
decisions require that a GM consults with the person who supervises him/her.
Some GMs fear to take decisions or to raise professional advises as they may be fired for doing so.
Walton (2012) reported that Gary Webster was fired by his Toronto Transit Commission after

Climate Change The Harvard University

In behalf of its commitment to mitigate climate change the Harvard University is fostering its schools,
employees and students to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions. As an initial step in pursuit of
its long term goal, Harvard committed to an immediate goal of reducing its net GHG emissions
resulting from existing operations and future growth by 30% relative to its 2006 baseline by 2016 (
Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goal, 2013). The Green Harvard Initiative, together with the Harvard s
Office of Sustainability and the Environmental Health Safety Department have taken the lead to
promote and implement initiatives related to GHG emissions reduction.

Due to its size, some Harvard facilities also need to comply with different regulatory reporting
requirements, such as the Massachusetts GHG Reporting regulation for facilities emitting more than
5,000 MTCDE (Macrae, 2016). Again, data scrutiny and data management are essential to present
cohesion on those diverse reports.
Last but not least, besides data quality and quantity availability, many variables may still hinder the
ability to evaluate the effectiveness of energy conservation measures (ECMs).
The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of specific ECMs deployed in Harvard s
buildings based on the data provided by the university.
Definition of Boundary
The ECM projects means to benefit the Harvard goal of 30% reduction in absolute emissions in 2016
according to the 2006 GHG emissions baseline ( Our plan , 2014). The Harvard s Office of
Sustainability and the Environmental Health Safety Department have selected 15 projects to be further
analyzed by this study. These projects were pre selected based on the best quality of the data available.
Most of the selected projects were based on electricity related savings involving light/lamps
technology improvement and/or occupancy sensors implementation. Other projects were related to
compressors and refrigerators improvement. However, on a first evaluation, it was concluded that
most of the projects could not be considered for evaluation of effectiveness due to the lack of data

Representatives from the Real Estate Department will search the area for existing small, already
existing brewery locations available to lease or rent. If no pre existing locations are available, then
competitors with the potential to buy out will be identified. Ideally, leases will be signed for a 7 year
term, with the option to extend the lease after 5 years. All locations should be determined by the end
of the third quarter. As soon as the areas are identified, members of the Human Resource Department
will begin searching for Brew Master to run and operate each of the new nano brewery locations.
These Brew Masters can be identified from current brewery locations or from competitors local to the
new locations. Training on the methods and policies of the Boston Beer Company should be

Boston Beer Company should then conduct regional market studies to determine potential flavors for
each specific region based off existing local craft breweries and popular regional flavor combinations.

alcohol is the outright cause of such accidents, but at a closer look at the facts and figures one will

marijuana contains each have their own impacts unto the human body, not to mention the increasing

Some have argued that, because of the text s inconsistencies and incompatibilities of thought, there is
much in the Analects that is non Confucian and should be discarded as a basis for understanding the
thought of Confucius. Benjamin Schwartz cautions us against such radical measures.
While textual criticism based on rigorous philological and historic analysis is crucial, and while the
later sections [of the Analects] do contain late materials, the type of textual criticism that is based on
considerations of alleged logical inconsistencies and incompatibilities of thought must be viewed with
great suspicion. . . . While none of us comes to such an enterprise without deep laid assumptions about
necessary logical relations and compatibilities, we should at least hold before ourselves the constant
injunction to mistrust all our unexamined preconceptions on these matters when dealing with
comparative thought. (The World of Thought in Ancient China, p. 61)

The Heavy Burden Pertaining To Racism Summary
487 The Heavy Burden Pertaining to Racism The concept and debate regarding racial equality within
this society varies cross culturally. There is indeed a heavy burden and a discrepancy with regards to
racism, stemming from a lack of education, towards a lack of opportunities, which leads to oppression.
While Tricia Rose explores how the educational system is under representative when it comes to
minorities and the oppressed, Beyoncé took a bold political statement while juxtaposing her views
towards the radical Black Panther movement.
First, Tricia Rose explores the onset of educational equality within this unequal system. She sheds
light on the misconception that wealthy individuals are worthy and have received their knowledge as
well as money in a just way. Conversely, the poor, unprivileged individuals have not obtained just
rewards, where the educational system has created an unnecessary burden for students. This can be
exemplified by the fact that students obtaining an education already have their future carved out. For
instance, while a white affluent individual will have more opportunities pertaining to attaining a better

The Right to Assisted Suicide Essay
You re visiting the hospice for the twenty third day in a row; the soft squeaking of the linoleum and
the gentle buzz of the fluorescents in the waiting room greet you as you walk in. You re visiting your
Grandmother, whose lung cancer has entered metastasis, and has been slowly spreading throughout
her body; she has already lost movement in her arms. She is a hollow shell of the woman she once
was; her once bright eyes have been fading steadily every day, and her bubbly demeanor has become
crushed and gravelly, and every day before you leave, she will only say, Kill me. What would you do
in this situation? Would you break the law in order to respect your elder s wishes? It is a cruel reality

According to Simon Jenkins, a writer for the British newspaper The Guardian, states that there cannot
be a human freedom so personal as ordering the circumstances of one s own death...[yet]... the near
universal desire to be allowed to die in my own home is willfully disregarded (Jenkins 1). By allowing
yourself to have life, one would assume that this gives you freedom over other aspects of your
existence, including when it should end. By denying the rights to achieve liberty, achieve happiness,
and define our lives, are we not denying the rights governments around the world were founded on? It
is the denial of these rights that allows the mental stress felt by patients to turn into physical pain.
Physical pain felt by patients is most often not caused by their injuries, but by neglect. Montana s
Death with Dignity Act, as stated by bioethicist Jacob Appel, is a hollow victory, as no physicians are
willing to give consented assistance. A physician neglecting to assist a patient with committing suicide
is more damaging than healing; it causes the patient to suffer through their injuries while searching out
another doctor to assist them. This is what happened with Janet Murdock: suffering from ovarian
cancer, she traveled throughout Montana, only to be denied assisted suicide from every physician she
met (Appel 1). Her pain was exacerbated by a law that was enacted to help relieve the

The Pros And Cons Of The IMF In Pakistan
The IMF has a history with the country of Pakistan which may be viewed as very problematic for the
people of the country depending on who you ask. In my research for one specific problem to write
about pertaining this issue, I decided to encompass the entire project of Pakistan, which to many
would be considered a massive failure on the part of the IMF and the ruling elite class of Pakistan.
Pakistan gained its independence in 1947, and was mostly under martial law until 1984, four years
before the IMF started granting loans to Pakistan that would never be repaid. Despite having a historic
culture and ample natural resources, Pakistan as a country cannot seem to keep it s head above water
financially. Doctor Ehtisham Ahmad of the London School of Economics says, 11 out of 12 IMF
programs since 1988 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first is that they did not come in even increments. Shortly after the loans were given conditions
would stabilize, but then according to Dr. Ehtisham Ahmad, when these inflows declined, the
economy quickly headed towards fiscal and balance of payments crises. (Ahmad, E., Mohammed, A.,
2012). It is hard for industry to ever stabilize when you are constantly battling credit crises. Since the
country can t always meet the conditions of the loans from the IMF, the US has gleefully stepped up to
lend the country money, but at what cost? According to Dr. Ehtisham Ahmad, The foundation of the
relationship with the US is based on Pakistan s strategic location at the mouth of the Persian Gulf .
(Ahmad, E., Mohammed, A., 2012). So the IMF is setting Pakistan up for failure with it s stop and go
lending, allowing the US to enter the picture as a lender in return for certain political favors involving
the land. So in it s series of loans to Pakistan, it has stripped the independence from the country and
helped other nations come in to make decisions involving it s

Loving Two Leading Ladies in The Marriage of Figaro Essay
My happiness is in your hands. 1 This is the Countess plea as Susanna enters the Count s study. She is
about to accept the Count s offer to meet after her wedding at her mistress s request. This riveting
scene in The Marriage of Figaro premiered on the stage of the Burgtheater in Vienna on May 1st,
1986.2 With the music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, the
Italian opera was an adaption of Pierre Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais play The Follies of a Day or,
The Marriage of Figaro . The play finally made it to the stage on April 27th, 1984, of the Comedie

She was intelligent and compassionate and insightful. This insight is clear to us from the beginning, as
the curtains open on a bedroom, in which Figaro is measuring and Susanna is preparing her headdress
for the ceremony later that day. Their duet begins and Figaro is measuring dimensions of furniture to a
bourree pattern 6 with strong beats, while Susanna sings a gavotte 7 which is quick and lively, about
her beautiful headdress. She calls to Figaro to admire it, and breaks his pattern. The third beat accent
of her melody unsettles Figaro s deliberate downbeat... interfere[ing] with the valet s concentration...
throwing his vocal tallying out of sync. 8 She fills in his space with a delicate melody that gets him
back on tempo and turns his attention towards her, where he finally acknowledges her headdress and
remarks about the practicality of the room, leading into the second duet. Here we draw the parallel
between Figaro s masculine rhythm and his rationality. His steady downbeats match the logic he uses
to take the Count s gift of the room as an advantage, because it is close to both the Count and
Countess s quarters. Similar to the way Susanna was able to sing Figaro back into place, she uses her
global perspective of the situation to realize the Count wants her close to his room for easier access.
Susanna leads Figaro to this realization, and brings him to the reality of the situation. Using her
insight, Susanna demonstrates

Why might it make sense for Citigroup to SELL this loan portfolio? Banks would normally be able to
absorb a few billion dollars of bridge loans on their balance sheet BUT the issue lies in the systemic
nature of the underwriting risk.
In 2008, banks were under pressure to sell the assets on their books more broadly.
Like many others, Citigroup had suffered unprecedented losses and write downs and was facing the
prospect of having even more considerable losses. (See Case pp. 2 3.)

Essay The Insufficiency of Honesty
Stephen L. Carter links integrity and honesty. There are three constraints discussed in this essay. First,
integrity does require a degree of moral reflectiveness. Second, Integrity may cause conflict that is
must be resolved. It does not necessarily produce or protect interpersonal harmony. Third, a person
who has integrity can be trusted. It does not avoid the restructuring of social structures and
associations, because it leaves the matter to exercise of interpersonal authority.
He states that one cannot have integrity without being honest but one can certainly be honest yet have
little integrity. He also states that honesty can actually be used quite selfishly. In fact, there are key
differences between honesty and integrity:
Honesty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a manager was taught his whole life that women aren t as smart as men. So he gives his
female employees tasks that he believes they ll be more apt to apply themselves. Although he s being
true to his beliefs, he fails to take responsibility as an equitable manager and as a representative of his
company. He is not a person of integrity although he is honest.
Honesty without integrity can also lead to moral disasters. Well, honesty may be important but not
sufficient for integrity. Integrity is both essential and significant. It is acceptable and one will agree
with what Stephen L. Carter says about a person having honesty but not integrity. There are also some
white lies present. Sometimes saying the truth or telling everything you know might hurt somebody.
Harm may not be the intention but positively the effect.
Carter also speaks of an American Core that has six values necessary for good character:
Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, fairness, and citizenship. He believes that honesty is
honored too highly which allows one to escape from responsibilities. Integrity does not permit easy
escape. In Conclusion, absolving one s self can be done out of self interest. It could be just a matter of
choice that the awareness of dishonesty and honesty both tie into integrity depending upon individual
interpretations. We can agree that

Prosecuting Attorneys
What are the duties of a prosecutor? The prosecutor has broad discretion in determining whether or
not to charge the accused of a particular crime. Depending on the size of the municipality a prosecutor
serves, job duties can vary. In larger offices, prosecuting attorneys may be assigned to specific areas of
the law, such as traffic violations or juvenile offenses. In smaller offices, they may be responsible for
all aspects of criminal prosecution.
Prosecuting attorneys begin a case by reviewing police reports and performing research. They may
meet with witnesses or victims. They use their gathered information in court to present the case

Imagine, a time when law enforcement agents could only watch a criminal walk away. A time when

Immediately upon his appointment, Hoover set to work. In fact, Hoover would only take the job under
the conditions that he would hold singular control over the promotion of his agents, and that no
political leverage be used against him to obstruct the agency (John Edgar Hoover). The director

The Onset Of A Disability Essay
Disability The onset of a disability at any stage can greatly affect how one develops through life.
According the Newman (2015), if the conflict of a stage is handled well, a new sense of mastery and
competence emerges (pg. 66). Along with dealing with the predictable psychosocial crisis
(generativity vs. stagnation), Sam was facing three unforeseen stressors. These stressors included the
loss of employment, his daughter starting her own family, and the untimely tragic death of his son.
Due to these stressors, Sam began to suffer from depression. According to Newman (2015), one who
is chronically depressed and facing stagnation may lose their will to live. It was evident though the
interview, that Sam s depression impacted his sense of self worth and hopes for the future. If major
depression is left untreated as one transition into later adulthood, one may see a further decline in
activity engagement. One can also speculate that if the depression continues, it will begin to affect a
person s physical health (Blazer, 2003). One could surmise that Sam was once in a state of
generativity as he was the bread winner of the household and took an active parenting role with his
children. He was actively attaining a level of generativity through his employment and by raising his
children. Unfortunately, a series of events derailed Sam s role and with the onset of depression, he
entered a state of stagnation. Sam was forced to retire which made it very difficult

The Differences Of Luke And John s Gospels
In many ways, the ministry of Jesus Christ can be understood through his interactions with other
people. In particular, Jesus interactions with others while sharing a meal often reveal the heart of his
ministry. The simple act of eating with another is mentioned in all four of the Gospels, especially in
the gospels of Luke and John. Luke and John s Gospels use stories of Jesus eating with others to
highlight the most important aspect of his ministry, sacrificial and radical love for the other.
Of the four Gospels, Luke s contains the most accounts of food. Mark Allen Powell comments on the
food motif in this Gospel, saying that there are nineteen different meals found in Luke. Luke is a part
of the three Synoptic Gospels, the other two being the Gospels of Mark and Matthew. Many of the
stories found in Luke s Gospel are also found in the other Synoptic Gospels and elaborated upon in his
own. However, Powell notes that thirteen of the stories in which food are involved are unique to Luke

meal in the same way that Luke s Gospel does. Unlike Luke s Gospel, John s Gospel does not describe
the actual Passover meal. Rather, it takes place after the meal has finished and the group is still at the
table. John s Gospel describes Jesus as washing the disciples feet, a moment that was shocking to the
disciples. At this moment, Jesus acts similarly to that of a servant washing the feet of their master.

Analysis Of Antipersonality Disorder And Psychopathy
ANALYSIS OF ANTIPERSONALITY DISORDER AND PSYCHOPATHY
Psychopathy is a common term used to describe a grouping of personality traits that include such
things as impulsive behavior, lack of regard for others, lack of a normal range of emotional
responsiveness and frequent deception or manipulation of others (Elements Behavioral Health).
Antisocial Personality Disorder and psychopathy are used interchangeably to describe the
psychological and personality disorder that causes one to disregard human life. While the American
Psychiatric Association uses the terms interchangeably, many believe these two disorders to be similar,
yet separate disorders. Many people do agree however that most psychopaths are afflicted with
antisocial personality disorder. One major concept to know is that most psychopaths are antisocial
personalities, but not all antisocial personalities are psychopaths (much like how a square is a
rectangle but a rectangle is not square). For the sake of avoiding confusion, the following research will
focus on the aspect that most psychopaths are antisocial personalities in order to examine characters

In the context of entering the mass higher education stage, the ideology of cost sharing and equity in
higher education is now widely accepted as a must do in China, and there is a tradeoff in which
colleges can charge tuition fees in exchange for better financial aids to students from disadvantaged

By the end of 2013, 3.13 million graduates had entered repayment period, and the total balance of
outstanding student debt was 16.35 billion RMB, which accounted for around one third of the total
volume. Most notably, the default rate by principal plus interest amount was 4.13% and the ratio of
students who defaults is 3.95% in 2013. To be detailed, the default rate of school based student loans
was 9.46% whereas that of home based student loans was only 0.22% . However, based on loan
recovery statistics of 30 provinces, the highest default of home based student loans went up to 17.46%
. Compared to over 30% default rate of some extreme cases in the year of 2004 , the default rate on
student loans has declined substantially in recent years, but it remains a significant challenge to sound
operation of student loan schemes. ii. Negative Impacts of High Defaults
Given student loan has no collateralized debt, and it takes long to realize money back, it is rational for
lending banks to choose risk prevention strategies like raising interest rates or limiting

Waking Ned Devine
Waking Ned Devine and Hunt for the Wilderpeople both explore the importance of culture on family
life and local relationships. While Waking Ned Devine chooses to focus on the strong ties in a local
culture through the intimate interactions of numerous villagers, Hunt for the Wilderpeople details the
intricacy and complexity of how families function during times of hardship. Both of these films
elaborate on culture as a binding factor between those in the same community. Waking Ned Devine is
a movie focusing on the how the intimate bonds of small town life and Irish culture become a form of
connection between the villagers while they attempt to navigate a difficult situation. When Jackie O
Shea and Michael O Sullivan discover that someone in their village has won the lottery, they journey
to find who the winner is. When they ascertain that the winner is Ned Devine, they go to visit him and

When he arrives to his new home and his new foster parents Bella and Hector, he instantly connects
with Bella while him and Hector have an unloving and somewhat indifferent relationship. Through a
tumultuous turn of events, Bella dies and Ricky and Hector must survive in the woods for months
while staying out of radar from the New Zealand child welfare system who are on a mission to take
Ricky back. This film artfully explores how family relationships function when in a struggle against
an outside force, in this case, the New Zealand government. Although Hector and Ricky were not
initially very close, the death of Bella and the direness of the situation of child welfare results in them
becoming closer than ever and exhibiting a connection on a friend and familial level in that at times
they act as if they are best friends while at other times they function almost like a father and

Essay on German Renaissance and Its Influence on Austrian...
The German renaissance took place during the sixteenth century in Europe. The Renaissance was a
time of discovery and learning. The word renaissance means rebirth or revival. The German
renaissance inspired just that, a revival and rebirth of education and art. The people of Europe became
interested in art and music during the renaissance. Education was also changing as the people became
more interested in sciences and philosophy. German art work from this time period was dominated by
local and independent schools. German art was largely based on the Gothic international style.
German art was also greatly influenced by work in the Netherlands, and became more influential as
time went on. The German artist Albrecht Durer was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Durer was greatly influence with his work at the print shop and opened up opportunities for his
painting and engraving career. At the time that Durer was apprenticing southern Germany was a center
for publishing, and it was commonplace for painters of the period to be equally skilled at making
woodcuts and engravings. As was customary for young men who finished their apprenticeships (Durer
Microsoft Online). This apprenticeship early on in Albrecht Durer s life became a big influence in
pursuing his artistic talents and developing them into something great. Throughout Durer s life he will
make journeys to other countries in Europe to meet other artists and gain more knowledge about art
and science. Albrecht Durer s first journey began in 1492 when he tired to join the workshop of
German painter and engraver Martin Schongauer (Durer Microsoft online). Unfortunately schongauer
had recently died, but Durer was told to travel to the Swiss publishing center of Basel if he wanted to
find work. Once in Basel Durer began his work and created illustrations for several publications. Still
early in his life, Durer s art depicted his skills with lines and sharp observation of detail. His first
famous piece of art that really shows his skills with lines and detail can be seen in a series of self
portraits that he drew when he was twenty years old. Durer had returned to Nurnberg to marry Anges
Frey in 1494 just before he left

Seatbelt Descriptive Writing
BANG! CRASH! We had just slipped on black ice and flew off the road. The car started to flip and I
could feel my body starting to slip out from my seat. Should ve worn my seatbelt. By the time the car
had flipped 4 5 times off the road and finally stopped by a fallen down tree, when I looked over Jillian

jeans started to feel wet because the snow had made its way in from the broken windows. Jillian had
her face pressed up to the broken window and the snow. I could see the snow starting to turn red from
all the blood rushing from the side of her face. I noticed a steady dripping of blood coming from

Reflection On Managing A Team
In the past I have worked for some really good managers and some not so good ones, however, what I
realized is that while they may have done the basic requirements to manage the people under them,
they did not do so efficiently and effectively. This is something that pricked me and then I realised that
I needed to learn and overcome this shortcoming and manage my team in a more effective and
efficient way. When this course was offered for the first time in our program it grabbed my attention
as it fit perfectly in what I wanted to tailor within myself as a future manager. These are my learnings
and how I wish to reform myself. Our first class focused on Forming Teams and Introductions It
started in a very friendly manner and through an introductory exercise, every individual had to talk
spontaneously about their positive qualities and how each of us could benefit from the other and bring
the same to the team. For me the question, what each individual could add to the team really stood out
because everyone had something unique to say about themselves and I will certainly use it in the
future while forming teams. Later, we had a small team exercise of making 15 paper airplane and this
exercise taught us the Forming part of the team model that is how to adapt quickly in a new team, help
each other and come up with a solution. During this entire process one team member was asked to
observe without giving any inputs. This technique deemed simple and creative as I felt it

Assistant School Chief Job Analysis
Assistant School Chief Position
BLUF: Although all of the SCPOs applying for the assistant school chief job would perform superbly,
the CPO Academy needs my unique skill set and motivation in that position as we transform our
curriculum and image.
I must be honest, writing a pick me email is not my favorite activity. Be it a gremlin hiding or the
constant drive to stay humble, I would much rather be writing praise for the other candidates.
However, I truly desire the privilege to assume the responsibilities as the assistant school chief and
hope the following argument sways the opinions of the powers that be.
First, I bring a unique set of skills to the position that will aid the transition of the CPO Academy to

I have led the CPO Academy in personnel management, scheduling issues, and operational success.
More importantly, I have served as a sounding board and mentor for practically the whole staff. Ask
anyone and they will attest that my couch is always occupied, not just BSing...but working on
personal/professional issues. My recent LPI 360 results resounded with good listener in the feedback
notes. Completing the Ipec coaching program also helped turn these conversations from mentoring to
empowering coaching sessions that garner actual results. (Of note, I will be a professionally certified
coach by the time I would earn the assistant school chief job, only a mentor call and the oral board
remain!) I believe this ability to build connections and to actively listen is a must as assistant school
chief.
Lastly, choosing me as the assistant school chief would fit perfectly with my career aspirations. Not
only will it help me obtain even more challenging opportunities here at the CPO Academy, it will
provide me the command position experience that will craft me into a well rounded, seasoned
silver/gold badge. I desire nothing other than to join the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program as
a badge. I have already successfully gone through SELC, earning honor graduate for my efforts.

Labour Relation Approach and Issues Labour relation or what we call industrial relation is the heart of
any industrial system. It is know as the relation between employees and employers of a company. For
a successful growth of business of big or small firm this relation are needed to be smooth and healthy.
Many writers have tried to define labour relation in different ways. Meaning of labour relation has
kept on changing with the change in nature of work, technology and most important globalization.
Before industrialization companies had such environments in which employer played a major role.
They had the power over the employees forcing rules and regulation formed by the management.

Also industry conflicts are the highest in India in terms of loss of work per year due to strikes than any
other country. According to Venkataratnam, 1996 industrial conflicts in 1990 increased both in public
and private sector. This caused multinational and private sector industries to implement Human
Resources Management practise to change traditional union management relations. Later public sector
also adopted this practise. The purpose of this was to open clear communications system between the
management and employees, proper work system with team work, fair pay system and carefully
designed performance appraisal system. Also the role of women in industry has increased from the
time of liberalization. Today males and females work together in the urban cities. Self Employed
Women Association (SEWA) has played an important role in providing home based work to the
women workers for past 20 years. (From:

The Effect Of Interval Training On Muscle Fatigue
Introduction
Interval training is charactered by intensity, work duration and rest periods. It involves a short or long
durations of high intensity exercise repeated with a specific amount of recovery. The training type
improves athlete s performance along with their cardiorespiratory fitness, VO2 max and improves
exercise adaptations (Billat, 2001). Exercise intensities elevate ATP utilisation and restrict metabolic
processes, increasing the level of blood lactate. The restriction of metabolic processes causes an
increase in muscle fatigue. Therefore restoration of metabolic concentrations during recovery periods
from intense exercise is important for optimal exercise performance (Edge, Eynon, McKenna,
Goodman Bishop, 2013).
Alternating work and recovery periods during intense exercise also allow depleted ATP and PC stores
to be replenished, along with oxygen myoglobin stores. Long interval protocols allow alactic energy
systems to reuse energy via the glycolytic energy system, reducing the need to utilise energy.
However, as this energy system is involved blood lactate and lactic acid are increased resulting in
higher levels of muscle fatigue (Seiler, Joranson, Olesen Heltelid, 2013). In addition, for optimal
training stimulus high intensities for prolonged periods of time, and or long intervals cannot be
sustained without implementing recovery periods (Rønnestad, Hansen, Vegge, Tønnessen
Slettaløkken, 2015). Short interval protocols allow the athlete to achieve

How Does George Orwell Use Total Control In Animal Farm
Imagine being convicted of a crime you did not commit. When you go to testify against the
accusation, there is evidence that proves you are guilty. Faked evidence. Photos of you in places you
were not. Forged documents with your signature on them. You are found guilty and charged to life in
prison. For crimes you did not do. This was the reality of almost twenty million Russians during half a
century during the Soviet reign. Government officials would fake photos, documents and in one
instance get the nazis to lie and say the person in question was a spy for them. This was all so none of
the arrests would look like they were faked or just because the party disliked the person or their ideas.
George Orwell portrayed how this tactic was used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge, which he happened to possess because his memory
was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania
was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the
moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him
was impossible. We also see how some strong individuals are able to hold onto their memories and
resist the censored propaganda put out by the regime. These are people who refuse to believe what the
regime wants them to because like Winston, they don t trust the regime. In Animal farm, we see the
animals always trust Napoleon and the pigs, which makes their rise to power easier. In both the russian
revolution and 1984 we see the rise to power is harder because of these strong willed

The Five Methods Of Capital Punishment
The death penalty was fundamentally thought of for the benefit of society. The objective of Capital
Punishment or Death penalty is to stop people from committing violent and offensive acts. The death
penalty or capital punishment has however flopped in any case , to avoid or discourage crime. At
present there are five methods of execution. The most commonly used form of execution is by lethal
injection. In this method the convict is first injected with sodium thiopental, which puts the person to
sleep, then he/she is injected with Pavulon, which finally kills him. [1] The next most common
method of execution used is electrocution in which the person is tied with leather straps to a chair and
electric current of two thousand or more volts is passed through the body. The initial shock of the
electricity causes the person s body to surge forward. The shock burns the internal organs of the
person, which leaves them dead. During this process urination, vomiting of blood, change in skin
color, and even swelling or burning of the skin may occur. This method of execution is currently used
by only eleven states. The third method is gas chamber execution in which hydrochloric acid and
potassium is used to kill the convict. One of oldest methods of executions is hanging and last method
is by shooting. All the five methods are inhumane and cruel. The convict dies within a few seconds.
He never gets the time to realize his mistake, repent over it or to correct it. Killing that person

The Continuous Process Of Enterprise Risk Management
The continual process of enterprise risk management (ERM) has become an integral component of
successful organizational assessment. The process of accurately identifying various risk factors and
interpreting their potential advantages and disadvantages ensures that a business remains capable of
anticipating and addressing internal and external contingencies. The following ERM implementation
plan for the security of internet accessible networks is intended to provide a navigable framework for
the development of a comprehensive ERM standard, including procedures to guide internal auditing
and the construction of a capable and contemporary cyber law policy. Within the organizational
structure of any complex enterprise, such as a small software development business, the continual
exchange of data necessary to facilitate operational efficiency allows for the presence of clearly
identifiable risk factors to include hazard risks, financial risks, operational risks, and strategic risks.
The purpose of any ERM plan is to assess the various risks associated with the network of online
interactions which occur daily between employees, customers, suppliers, investors, and other key
stakeholders in the organizational hierarchy, while providing clear standards of conduct intended to
mitigate said risks. The threat of external interference with organizational objectives must be mitigated
through the application of an effective security and cyber law policy, while the resolution of

SeaWorld was confronted about the safety of the trainers. Gabriela Cowperthwaine, the director of Blackfish, proclaims that keeping whales in captivity is inhumane and treacherous to whales and humans. The audience is supposed to see how harmless the whales are throughout the movie. Blackfish is used to portray killer whales as innocent and harmless. The film uses different types of rhetoric, such as: pathos, ethos, and logos. Cowperthwaine uses logos throughout the film to prove to the audience that killer whales are not dangerous. In the film, Howard Garrett, Orca Researcher, says There is no record of an orca doing any harm to a human in the wild. • 3. 1973 Arab Oil Embargo And Its Effect On The US Part D: Analysis: In 1973, Arab states and Israel were in the midst of war. In retaliation of the U.S. resupplying Israeli military, Arab members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) initiated an embargo against the United States and other countries that supported Israel. This embargo banned petroleum exports to certain countries, introduced cuts in oil production, and had a drastic effect on the U.S. economy (Oil Embargo, 1973 1974). It led to quadrupling oil prices and oil shortages that led to a widespread crisis across the United States and other countries facing the embargo. The crisis caused a global realization that the world seemed to be running out of oil and provided incentive to look to alternative energy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran has been considered the most significant, lasting effect of the Arab Oil Embargo. However, these changes were much less direct than those in the energy sector. Even though the embargo led to the United States allying with Saudi Arabia when they had previously been enemies, it can be argued that the embargo was not a direct cause of this shifting alliance (Myre). Furthermore, the fact that the United States is now rivals with Iran is more the result of the overthrow of the shah, who was effectively a puppet of the United States, than a consequence of the embargo itself (Myre). While, the effects of these changing dynamics are still seen today and are undoubtedly significant, the relationship between the embargo and the changing U.S. energy sector and policy is much more visible and direct. What s more, the argument that the embargo most influenced U.S. energy is backed with an abundance of evidence, while the evidence suggesting the changing international relations resulted from the embargo is shaky and tentative at best. Due to this, it is apparent that the claim that the embargo affected U.S. energy policy most significantly is the correct ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The s Defense Of Icons In Defense of Icons Throughout history The Church and a number of Christians including myself have found themselves defending their use of icons against the views of individuals who felt that the icons were a form of idolatry. These individuals also know as Iconoclasts have a staunch position against the use of icons. Their position is based on interpretation of the Old Testament law stated in Exodus 20:4 You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea . Is this truly contrary to the Old Testament law or is it simply preserving through time the incarnation of Christ, the Gospels and the history of the Christian church? I will give you a brief history, and then offer my personal opinion to the subject. Let s define what is an icon and give a brief history of icons. An icon is sacred art, usually a fresco or mosaic of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, martyred Saints or scenes from the bible that are given special veneration. This type of sacred art first appeared in the catacombs were the first Christians would gather to worship during periods of persecution. The scenes depicted were of Christ s family, gospel stories or stories from the Hebrew scriptures. As Christianity began to grow, and after the Edict of Milan the Emperor Constantine decreed that Christians were no longer to be persecuted. In response to this new decree, by the fourth century icons became a way of teaching the Gospel and a way to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In spite of the view passed on by pop culture, the Absurd, in any event not what Camus had expressed, that it doesn t just allude to some dubious discernment that current life is full of mysteries, incoherencies, and scholarly disarray. Rather, as he accentuates and tries to clarify, the Absurd communicates an essential disharmony, a deplorable contrariness, in our reality. As a result, he contends that the Absurd is the result of an impact or showdown between our human yearning for request, which means, and reason in life and the clear, impassive quiet of the universe : The crazy is not in man nor on the planet, but rather in their nearness together... it is the main bond joining them. • 8. Benjamin Lev s Struggle With Their Ultra Orthodox... Critical Lens Hypothesis: Asher Lev s struggle to reconcile his gift with his ultra orthodox religious beliefs can be explained in Freudian terms. The human psyche is an incredibly complex system. It controls us in every aspect of our lives, rewarding us for a job well done while also making us feel guilty for each mistake we make. Our psyche is influenced by the world in which we live, by our immediate family and friends and also by those who we will meet during our lives. Each and every stage of life will result in us experiencing more, and in doing so, those experiences will shape who we will become. Our psyche is made up of three very important parts: the id, the ego, and the superego. The id is the primitive and instinctive component of personality. It consists of all the biological components of personality, including the life instinct and the death instinct. The id is the only part of our psyche which is present from birth. It is concerned only with the immediate satisfaction of our needs and has no respect for the consequences or impact on other people. The ego is the part which attempts to reconcile our id s irrational tendencies with the realities of the world. The ego is tasked with working out realistic ways of satisfying the id s demands, often postponing satisfaction to avoid negative consequences of society. The superego s function is to control the id s impulses, especially those which society forbids and to reward us when we do good (ideal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Listed below are two of the many reasons to work with a probate lawyer. They Can Ensure That All Required Debts Are Paid Correctly The most important task that many probate lawyers can help you with is ensuring that all the required debts are paid correctly by the estate. For example, the probate lawyer can look at the various types of debts that were left behind by the estate and ensure that not only are the required debts paid but that they will be paid in the right order. This is important because there can be a number of fines and penalties that can be assessed if you paid the wrong debt before someone who held a higher priority debt or if you begin paying other debts before paying the estate taxes. Executive summary According to Boyer and Associates (2010), a General Manager (GM) is not a job but a position . He further states that a GM is a focal point and has the authority to impact immediately any area of a business. This tells us that such a position must be occupied by someone that has relevant experience, the right attitude and necessary skills to make a positive contribution. It is therefore crucial to understand the characteristics to look for when employing a GM. Possible shortfalls in general management One of the shortfalls is that, not all the time that a GM using charismatic leadership style may be fully effective. Boyer and Associates stated that charismatic leaders, ...are threatened by individuals who are free thinkers and strive to develop their own skills . Myres (2012) from Milpark Business School stated that, GMs who used to be experts in some functions find it difficult to adjust to management. This could mean an organization is not being fully managed when Managers are not managing. If a GM has limited managerial experience, tasks are delegated without accountability. Things go loose and later the organization operates at an average level. This links to the inability of identifying potential and creativity that needs to be enhanced. Staff never finds satisfaction in these cases. A GM that fails to take quick but informed decisions may delay business growth. However, some decisions require that a GM consults with the person who supervises him/her. Some GMs fear to take decisions or to raise professional advises as they may be fired for doing so. There is indeed a heavy burden and a discrepancy with regards to racism, stemming from a lack of education, towards a lack of opportunities, which leads to oppression. While Tricia Rose explores how the educational system is under representative when it comes to minorities and the oppressed, Beyoncé took a bold political statement while juxtaposing her views towards the radical Black Panther movement. First, Tricia Rose explores the onset of educational equality within this unequal system. She sheds light on the misconception that wealthy individuals are worthy and have received their knowledge as well as money in a just way. Conversely, the poor, unprivileged individuals have not obtained just rewards, where the educational system has created an unnecessary burden for students. His steady downbeats match the logic he uses to take the Count s gift of the room as an advantage, because it is close to both the Count and Countess s quarters. In particular, Jesus interactions with others while sharing a meal often reveal the heart of his ministry. Luke and John s Gospels use stories of Jesus eating with others to highlight the most important aspect of his ministry, sacrificial and radical love for the other. Of the four Gospels, Luke s contains the most accounts of food. Mark Allen Powell comments on the food motif in this Gospel, saying that there are nineteen different meals found in Luke. Luke is a part of the three Synoptic Gospels, the other two being the Gospels of Mark and Matthew. Antisocial Personality Disorder and psychopathy are used interchangeably to describe the psychological and personality disorder that causes one to disregard human life. While the American Psychiatric Association uses the terms interchangeably, many believe these two disorders to be similar, yet separate disorders. Many people do agree however that most psychopaths are afflicted with antisocial personality disorder. One major concept to know is that most psychopaths are antisocial personalities, but not all antisocial personalities are psychopaths (much like how a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not square). For the sake of avoiding confusion, the following research will focus on the aspect that most psychopaths are antisocial personalities in order to examine characters from the blockbuster hit, Silence of the Lambs. • 50. The Effect Of Interval Training On Muscle Fatigue Introduction Interval training is charactered by intensity, work duration and rest periods. It involves a short or long durations of high intensity exercise repeated with a specific amount of recovery. The training type improves athlete s performance along with their cardiorespiratory fitness, VO2 max and improves exercise adaptations (Billat, 2001). Exercise intensities elevate ATP utilisation and restrict metabolic processes, increasing the level of blood lactate. The restriction of metabolic processes causes an increase in muscle fatigue. Therefore restoration of metabolic concentrations during recovery periods from intense exercise is important for optimal exercise performance (Edge, Eynon, McKenna, Goodman Bishop, 2013). Alternating work and recovery periods during intense exercise also allow depleted ATP and PC stores to be replenished, along with oxygen myoglobin stores. Long interval protocols allow alactic energy systems to reuse energy via the glycolytic energy system, reducing the need to utilise energy. However, as this energy system is involved blood lactate and lactic acid are increased resulting in higher levels of muscle fatigue (Seiler, Joranson, Olesen Heltelid, 2013). In addition, for optimal training stimulus high intensities for prolonged periods of time, and or long intervals cannot be sustained without implementing recovery periods (Rønnestad, Hansen, Vegge, Tønnessen Slettaløkken, 2015). Short interval protocols allow the athlete to achieve ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The objective of Capital Punishment or Death penalty is to stop people from committing violent and offensive acts. The death penalty or capital punishment has however flopped in any case , to avoid or discourage crime. At present there are five methods of execution. The most commonly used form of execution is by lethal injection. In this method the convict is first injected with sodium thiopental, which puts the person to sleep, then he/she is injected with Pavulon, which finally kills him. [1] The next most common method of execution used is electrocution in which the person is tied with leather straps to a chair and electric current of two thousand or more volts is passed through the body. The initial shock of the electricity causes the person s body to surge forward. The shock burns the internal organs of the person, which leaves them dead. During this process urination, vomiting of blood, change in skin color, and even swelling or burning of the skin may occur. This method of execution is currently used by only eleven states. The third method is gas chamber execution in which hydrochloric acid and potassium is used to kill the convict. One of oldest methods of executions is hanging and last method is by shooting.
