The Communal Politics Of India
INTRODUCTION
The communal politics in India started from 1970s when emergency was declared in India. The
Congress was unable to fulfill its promises, conditions of India deteriorated, GDP dumps. Other
parties were also unable to deliver the expectation of people, and then BJP comes with communal
politics by raising Babri Masjid case. Rathyatra led by Advani is an important event which created
enthusiasm in a particular section of community. After Dandi March, this is the one yatra which has
succeeded because there were organizations in every level; it was pre planned and executed carefully
which made it successful. The extreme case of communal riots in India took place on 27 February,
2002. The abuse of human rights started when in Sabarmati Express; one coach of Hindus who were
on pilgrimage was burned at the Godhra station in which Muslims were considered as mastermind
behind this action. The next day the Muslims community was targeted and huge killing took place.
The organizations like Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh and Vishwa Hindu Parishad were involved in
these riots. Many Masjids were destroyed, Muslim women were raped, their shops were looted. The
State Government and police failed to stop the communal violence instead they helped the communal
forces in locating Muslims by giving voters list and other documents for identification.
Although, Gujarat is one of the most developed states in a country in terms of Gross Domestic Product
and Human Development Index but

Master Harold
Whenever someone thinks of love or romance it usually involves some type of rose, but did you know
that different colors of roses have different meanings or symbols. For example, yellow roses
symbolize friendship. While the red rose is a classic symbol for love and romance. Almost anything in
the world can be symbolic for something. The messages that are sent with each representation of a
symbol can be interpreted in many different ways because everybody thinks differently. Master Harold
... and the boys is a play filled to the brim with symbolism and can even be found in the title itself.
Although the significance behind symbols can be interpreted differently in many cases the author has
as intended purpose for it. In the play Master Harold ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is symbolic of this because in the end of the play Hally has a couple of choices he can make. In the
end of the play, Sam says Should we try again, Hally (Fugard 62)? Sam is referring to Hally that he
wants to patch things up and hopefully repair their relationship. In the play Hally asks how they can
do that, and Sam replies Fly another kite, I suppose (Fugard 62). This is one of the choices given to
Hally at the end of the play. Also, Sam says that You know what that bench means now, and you can
leave it any time you choose (Fugard 62). This is the other choice that he must decide on. In an
interview, Athol Fugard, says that What I find I cannot lose faith and hope in is what Sam says to
Hally in the end of the play. What Sam s little moment amounts to, is saying to this little white boy
who is going to walk out after a series of very traumatic incidents: You can choose the quality of the
life you re going to live. It s absolutely your choice (Fugard 98). This symbolizes Hally s future
because based on what decisions he makes they will affect his future. Unfortunately, the author of the
play leaves Hally s future as a cliffhanger in the end. Although, Hally does say and act on his choices
it is not clear if anything is resolved. Hally s response to flying another kite is that It s still raining,

Osteoporosis And Treatment Of Osteoporosis Essay
Osteoporosis is one of the most prevalent bone diseases worldwide (Mulcahy, et al.). It is
characterised as a disease which leads to the loss of bone mass due to bone deterioration, therefore
leading to bones becoming more brittle and fragile (U.S. Department of Health and Human services,
2004). Physiologically, bone is constantly re modelled by concerted and coordinated interactions
between osteoclasts, type of cells that are involved in resorption of the bones, and osteoblasts, which
ensure bone formation and mineralization. Osteoporosis results from an imbalance between bone
deposition and resorption (Castiglioni, et al., 2013)
Osteoporosis affects millions of people worldwide, but the groups that are at highest risks include
elderly and post menopausal women (International Osteoporosis Foundation, 2015). As osteoporosis is
associated with aging, it becomes a major health concern as the aging population will double over the
next decade (Age UK, 2016). Due to that fact, there has been an increase in an interest in development
of the preventive strategies for decreasing the incidence of osteoporosis. One of most important
strategies is dietary intervention, as there are nutritious factors that play a key role in formation and
development of the bones. Majority of the previous studies were concentrated on relationship between
calcium, vitamin D and density of the bones. But recent studies have mentioned the importance of
Magnesium, chemical element which plays a key role in

Students With Learning Disabilities And Learning Differences
Intro
Being a teacher, one will encounter many students with learning disabilities or learning differences.
These things can be anything between attention deficit disorder to down syndrome. It is the teacher s
job to understand what that child is going through in order to ensure that they receive the best
available education possible. Now a teacher might say, I am not required to know how to teach special
education , which is where most of these students will be placed. But ones with minor learning
differences will be seen in everyday classroom environments. Therefore, a teacher should want to
educate every student to the best of their ability to ensure that no matter what learning difference a
child has that that child can be successful in life. One specific learning difference I am going to talk
about today is dyslexia. Many do not know what this learning difference really is or even all of its
causes, and symptoms. Many people probably do not know what the child has to go through when
getting an RTI or what that even is. They may not take in perspective on what impact that child has on
its family. Teachers should know how to give dyslexic children the best education possible, and this
starts out by getting with the family and forming and RTI. Then there are many appropriate tools that
may be used to ensure that the children can succeed in their education.
Description, Causes, and Symptoms
What is Dyslexia? The simplest definition that can be given is, a disability in

Alchemy Research Paper
Alchemy has no clear origin, and is as old as religion itself. Although it has no clear origin the
earliest known recording of alchemy is in china, Egypt, and Indian alchemy. Zoismos of panoplis ( a
very
famous alchemist) belived alchemy originated in pharanic Egypt where it was used by the priestly
class.
Chinese alchemy has an unknown origin as well, but archeologist and historians belive that
Chinese alchemy is branched off Daoist religions and practices. The China s alchemy was mainly
focused
on the body by healing and increasing lifetimes.

wrote about his alchemy he always wrote down the ingredients, and the outcome but he never wrote
on how he preformed his transmutation. Flame also dedicated his life in the pursuit of the old

Alchemy in the renaissance was even more influential to our lives because during the

1. What was the purpose of the New Democracy strategy? Was it successful? Explain.
The purpose of the New Democracy strategy was meant to spur China s political and economic

The land redistribution program for the peasants was positively accepted such that Mao believed that
the next step, the Great Leap Forward, would also be successful. Unfortunately, the program failed
because the rural collectives did not accomplish the economic and administrative tasks assigned to
them. Instead, the program was established in the wrong moment due to bad weather, which
contributed to the downward trend of food production. Furthermore, many peasants resisted the efforts
to work, thus it also contributed to millions of people dying from starvation in the next several years.
3. Was the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution evidence of Communism s strength or its weakness?
Explain.
The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution was an evidence of Communism s strength because a vast
majority of the economic and educational reforms were carried out successfully. By introducing a new
school system and eradicating profit incentives, it enabled Mao to spread its communism ideologies
into practice in China. For instance, instead of teaching children science and humanities, Mao
encouraged schools to teach what s more important, the Little Red Book, which were Mao s maxim
regarding revolutionary passion and good behavior. Moreover, thoughts, culture, habits, and culture

In the novel The Stranger By Albert Camus, Camus presents us with a Philosophical Fiction in which
he revolves around the Theme of Existentialism. The Protagonist Meursault believes in no higher
power of existence in which that life has no meaning thus opposing religion. The readers experience
this in the beginning of the Novel, where Meursault attends his mother s funeral and express no
emotion at a sorrowful gathering which he is demanded to do socially and because of society s
standards and manners. The behavior of Meursault is constant and rarely changes throughout the
novel. However his love partner makes Meursault question his views of Existentialism but does not

One claim that can be argued is the break in behavior that Marie has on Meursault. As listed
previously, That Meursault is incapable of having any feeling and emotions for anyone other than
himself. This changes variously in the essay where Meursault gives deep and vivid descriptions of
Marie and wants to be with her. The readers first discover this when Meursault and Marie return form
the beach and he says She was wearing one of my pajama suits, and had the sleeves rolled up. When
she laughed I wanted her again (Camus 24). Although this is not a deep analysis of Marie, The readers
can see that Meursault does feel emotions with Marie and those are good emotions coming from
someone else happiness that begs the question, is Meursault having a change of heart for Marie and
his behavior? To answer this question the readers need to travel to part two of the novel, where
Meursault and the Chaplain are talking about Meursault time in jail and the Chaplain asks him how he
is coping in his cell, not finding a clear answer Meursault explained that This roused me a little. I
informed him that I d been staring at those walls for months; there was nobody, nothing in the world, I
knew better than I knew them. And once upon a time, perhaps, I used to try to see a face. But it was a

mother quickly got nervous and called the fire department. The fire truck came over to their home, 20
minutes late, casually cruising up the street. Once they begin talking, the firefighter explains that it s a
unstoppable muck fire. Mr. Costello, the president of the homeowners association came to the Fisher

Abstract Behavioral Development Is A Crucial Part Of Human
Abstract Behavioral development is a crucial part of human development. It influences how people
interact with the atmosphere and others around them. Behavioral development is reliant on on many
environmental factors which include one s parents, siblings, peers, schooling and culture. According to
Jacqueline J. Goodnow, these parental factors are often dependent on the culture in which the person
was raised. The two parental factors that have a negative effect on a child s behavioral and
psychological development are the parents use of control and rejection. These parenting styles can
lead to a child internalizing and externalizing their problems. When a child internalizes their problems,
they become withdrawn, anxious and display ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another similarity these cultures share is the value in masking their feelings. For both cultures, the
masking of their feelings creates a non threatening, peaceful environment, but certain parenting styles,
found popular to these cultures, can lead to the internalization and externalization of negative
emotions for young children. Relations Between Parenting Styles and Temperament of a Child
Behavioral Coping Mechanisms Internalizing and externalizing behaviors have been related to both
parenting styles and child temperament (Zhou, et all, 2008). Externalizing behavior can be displayed
in forms of aggression, hyperactivity and rebellion. Internalizing behavior can be displayed in the
forms of anxiousness and depressive behavior (Liu, 2004). Both behavioral problems manifest in the
child s inward and outward behavior. There are negative life long outcomes such as violence,
depression, anxiety, etc. that are associated with children who practice these behavioral coping
mechanisms. Parenting Styles Psychologist Diana Braumrind theorized that there are four patterns of
parenting styles (Uninvolved, Permissive, Authoritarian and Authoritative Parenting) based off of two
concepts: control and warmth (Kopko, 2007). Unlike Western cultures, who generally follow an
Authoritative parenting style, most Japanese and Chinese parents follow a more Authoritarian
parenting

Gothic Trope Deception In Caleb Williams
Not only does Ann Radcliffe use the gothic trope deception and destruction William Godwin uses it as
well throughout his novel Caleb Williams. However, Godwin uses deception through political systems
and through the two main characters, Falkland and Caleb Williams. Falkland is an urban landowner
and hires Caleb Williams to transcribe, arrange certain papers and partly write his dictation letters of
business, as well as sketches of literary composition: he performed the functions of a librarian as well
as secretary (Godwin 1.1.pg.5). Falkland is believed to be a well off and exceedingly appreciated
landlord, who is passionately eager of keeping his appearance. For example on page 4 in volume one
chapter one Caleb describes Falkland as a man of stature and he was kind and attentive. He is known
to be an understanding businessperson but is vulnerable to uncharacteristic hysterics of convulsions
which no one knows about except his servant, Collins. On the other hand, three months after Caleb
started working for him he saw Falkland having one of these distempers: he heard the lid of a chest
hastily slam and lock and heard a voice that seemed supernaturally tremendous. The sound of it
thrilled Caleb s very vitals and saw Falkland rising up from the floor (Godwin 1.1 pg.7) because of
this Caleb was very curious as to why his boss had this random outburst. Caleb later finds out this
outburst is caused by his sensibility and how it is shrunk up and withered by events that are most
disgustful to his feelings...his mind was incapable to survive the wound that his pride had sustained
(Godwin 1.1. pg. 8). This makes Caleb even more interested in finding out about his boss because he
now believes Falkland is being misleading and is hiding something he did in the past. Caleb examines
his master s habits and history and finally comes to a conclusion that this apparently honorable
character is a murderer. As soon as there is intensity in the house, Caleb is on the verge of opening a
chest in his master s room, however, Falkland catches Caleb in the act. Once Falkland believes that
Caleb knows he actually confesses and threatens Caleb with horrible retribution if he makes an effort
to leave his duties. Falkland states: I

Wa Das Cabinet Des Dr. Caligari
Art as a medium has had a cause and effect relationship with history, reflecting the era of which they
belonged to through its representation of society, moods, and anxieties. During the 19th century,
expressionism as an art movement was prevalent all across Europe, but was truly prominent in
Germany. This art movement was seen across all artistic mediums such as painting, theater, and
literature as a reaction to realism and impressionism. Towards the end of the arts movement,
expressionism made its way into film, depicting the tormented psychological realities of post World
War Germany. Although, only a few films are considered to be expressionist due to their stylistic and
social criticisms adapted from expressionism and applied through the aesthetics of its mis en scene.

The AI is a relatively small group within the larger organization of the College of Public Affairs and
Community Service (CPACS) at UNO. As a separate department within CPACS, the AI offers two
tracks of study for undergraduates: aviation administration and professional pilot. Making up the AI
are five faculty members responsible for teaching the core courses, two full time staff members, three
graduate students and simulator instructors. On the surface, the AI appears to be a typical department
nestled within a larger collegiate system, however, there is some qualities that make the AI unique.
The most important distinction is the flight training program. This is because of the various
stakeholders that are involved with flight training. One of the key stakeholders is the Federal Aviation
Association (FAA). The FAA heavily dictates the ground and flight training curriculum. There is a
specific list of standards and training time that must be met in order to reach compliance, and in
addition, the AI prepares for an annual inspection by a designated principle operation inspector (POI)
who ensures compliance. This poses a challenge for the AI being that the requirements set forth by the
FAA do not always lend themselves to the traditional collegiate structure. In addition to the FAA, the
AI works with two independent flight schools that are contracted to provide service for the students of
the AI. Each flight school is a separate business with a separate organizational culture, yet they partner
with the AI students who are in pursuant of their flight certificates. Finally, on the airport
administration side of the AI, there is an equal amount of external stakeholders made up of
organizational leaders and alumni that assist in the development of the aviation administration

Role Of Satan In Paradise Lost
In Paradise Lost, Satan is presented as the antagonist of Omnipotence, whose role is to bring evil out
of good, and whose later aim is to cause the fall of humankind (God s best creation) as a means to find
solace in making others as miserable as he is... In this essay I will analyze the evolution of Satan s
character, and how the reader s perception of Satan will change either seeing him as a hero, a poetic
force, or as a personified self contradiction throughout the books I, IV, and IX from Paradise Lost.
In Book I, Milton presents us Satan s external magnificence comparing him with creatures of
enormous size: ...in bulk as huge as whom the Fables name of monstrous size, Titanian, or Earth born,

Milton presents us Satan entering as a mist into the Garden of Eden, night mists and fogs were
associated with evil and pestilence, since moist night air was supposed to have carried contagion
(Flannagan, Roy 463) As the books develop, instead of presenting Satan with a magnanimous image,
he portrays Satan as an image of decadence, for the passions that rule Satan, such as pride, ambition,
and envy are not heroic: The heroic qualities which Satan brings to his mission, the fortitude, the
steadfast hate, the implacable resolution which is founded on despair are qualities not to be imitated or
admired . (B. Rajan 107) Although Satan claims to be free, he is the slave of his selfhood, and Hell
follows him wherever he goes. We know, even Satan knows, that God permits evil to exist because
free will cannot exist without the choice between good and evil, therefore Satan s existence cannot be
seen as nothing else but as a necessary evil, for the breach that separates him from God is so great that
no reconciliation could possibly heal it. Satan s inability to be other than he is, is the main cause of his
downfall and eternal damnation, and the loss of his splendor, hence Satan remains for the reader as a
condemned, confounded, and damned poetic force, which was presented as a hero only as a mere
illusion by Milton for the

The Theme Of Lessing s The Grass Is Singing
Lessing s first novel The Grass is Singing exemplifies the imperial of the English idea of home/land as
it prevails in the colony. British settlers in Post World War I South Africa, Not only identified imperial
England as home but also sought to replicate on the African veldt the domestic ideal that in turn
became a sign of white privilege (Tseng 159). Lessing s identification with the mother country is

influenced the Articles of Confederation, they were one of the most important native groups in North
American history. The federation of the Iroquois enabled them to prosper in independence and protect
themselves from enemies. The Hohokam culture of present day Arizona existed from 300 A.D. to

family. The Hohokam men, who were traditionally hunters, hunted large game with spears until the
bow and arrow was introduced around 400 500 A.D. Throughout the culture s lifespan, its
geographical range expanded by at least three to four times. As the Hohokam culture expanded and
their contacts with neighboring tribes increased, trade began to flourish. A surprising variety of

Robert Wideman Slavery
To think that slavery days are over and people from minority communities in America don t face racial
discrimination at the hands of public authorities would be self delusional. Slavery still exists in the US
but in a different form and with new mechanisms. Private prison system is one such mechanism
through which racialized America is still maintained holding people of African American and Hispanic
origin in confinement for years irrespective of the fact whether there are actual crimes reported or not.
High incarceration rate, nexus between the corporate companies and government agencies, racial
prejudice against people of black underclass, dehumanization of prisoners in private prisons laced
with racial bias and corporatization of prisons ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no doubt that his crossing over has definitely provided him with a middle class perspective on
the world around where he can see his progression from the stagnant world of the underclass into a
middle class world which is full of opportunities and prospects. However, we need to be alert to the
fact that his perception of the underclass world is not prejudiced or unnecessarily biased as one can
see in the case of Bill Cosby. Bill Cosby can be seen representing the lot of those who have crossed
over; those who have risen up the socio economic ladder with a typical black middle class mentality
which is apathetic and indifferent to the people hanging at the lower rung of the society. His is an
attitude which Michael Eric Dyson calls Afristocracy where the black elite blame the black poor for
all the things that go wrong in the black world, and curse them for not doing enough for a better life.
Whereas John Edgar Wideman despite his earlier flight from the ghetto life and the demons his
brother Robby personified can be seen reconciling the two contraries and abstaining from a view
which is characteristic of Afristocracy. His is a self that is very much

The Principles Of Professionalism And Professionalism
In this essay the principles of professionalism will be discussed including its importance to education
as a whole, and as a practitioner. The following will be discussed; assessing the different
understandings of professionalism, demonstrating factors such as self awareness, personal qualities
and skills. Then examine how these may impact a practitioner
Professionalism means different things to different people as suggest by Fox (1992, p. 2). Examining
the different meanings of professionalism Hanlon 1998 would agree with Fox stating professionalism
is what people think at a certain point in time. For example some may argue that professionalism
places its importance on belonging to a profession. This includes an individual having ... Show more

This has led to challenges in the workforce whereby the views of practitioners, and their ability to
behave professional have contradicted each other. For example some practitioners view their
qualifications and training as most important, whereby other practitioners may disagree with this view
stating their attitude, and values are just as important. This can cause issues in a workforce, such as
team work, and creating a positive environment. Being a professional working with young children
according to the samples of EYEs, in my research is not just about having qualifications, training.....
but also about attitudes and values, .....interpret the best for children and families, commitment,
enjoyment and passion for working with children Brock A 2006. This statement is essential to
understanding that outside qualification and teaching the characteristics of a practitioner is crucial.
Therefore a professional is a practitioner that maintains standards according to education however
understanding that their views, beliefs and qualities implicate them, and also need to be incorporated
in their approach in a positive way.
In order to do this, a practitioner needs to develop self awareness whereby understanding their own
attitudes, values and where these may arise from, consequently understanding the implication

Living in a Fallen Societies
Would you like to live in a world where your leader is murdering millions of people, well this was
Nazi Germany. Thankfully we don t have to live through that anymore. Why? Because faults in the
society lead to its failure. All societies fail, but why? Corrupt leaders, lack of resources, and failure in
security can all lead to the downfall of a society. Now not all societies fail for these reasons, but Nazi
Germany, ancient India, Rome, and the Glade, a fiction society in The Maze Runner book by James
Dashner, have. The are usually many faults in our government and every government whatever type of
government it is. Leaders are very important in a society because everyone looks up to the leader, but
what happens when the leader is corrupted? Bad things happen when a leader is corrupted, It
happened in Germany and in The Maze Runner. In the Glade they have a council of Keepers who run
the government. The Keepers are like the CEO of one of the many jobs at the Glade. The Keepers
make the laws and vote on issues. Gally is one of the Keepers on the council. Gally is a bully. He
threatened to kill Tomas more than once and has hurt other citizens in the Glade. Gally also does not
respect their government system. He wants to be the only leader. All of the leaders need to be on the
same page, so everything can work right. In this case it wasn t, which is why the Glade fell.
During the Nazi Germany era, Hitler started out nice but abused his political power and became a

How Does Heathcliff s Past Affect Relationships Throughout...
The influence of a character s past can greatly shape their relationships which is shown in Emily
Bronte s novel, Wuthering Heights, she plays on the unknown origins of a character and how it can
damage their relationships throughout the novel. The disconnection of one s past is greatly shown in
Emily Bronte s character, Heathcliff, the effects of not knowing who he truly was causes damage to
his relationships and his internal self. The unconnected relationship between Heathcliff and his past
forces him to figure out where he came from which causes him to repress those who have a
connection to their true selves which is displayed in Catherine and his relationship. Heathcliff has
great love for Catherine but also feels inadequate because

Leo Frank Trial Essay
While Frank died maintaining his innocence, definitive proof of his innocence was never uncovered.
Frank underwent an unjust trial and ultimately lost his life due to the racial prejudices and violence
that enticed Atlanta during this time period. Atlanta felt threatened by outsiders after the Civil War and
this was apparent during Frank s trial. Despite the lack of evidence against Frank, the people of
Atlanta were quick to believe the guilt of a northern Jew. Leo Frank s story was spread widely after
his death. Movies, books, and articles about the Frank case have caused the trial to gain further
notoriety. The aftermath of Frank s case and ultimately his untimely death, show how racial tensions
and the facilitation of fear towards outsiders can have detrimental consequences. People today can
examine this case and see how race and notion of outsiders still plays a role in our court system today.
Additionally, the role the media played in Frank s case sealed his fate to the masses after painting him
as a deviant, and this practice of speaking to ones character is still used by the media during cases and
trials today. Examining the effects the media plays on a case is an important practice that people living
today should engage in.
Sacco and Vanzetti s trial also garnered national attention through newspaper articles. Six years after
their conviction, Sacco and Vanzetti gained international attention. Their defense lawyers also argued
that the men were only convicted due to their anarchist beliefs and went on to contact Benito
Mussolini who argued in defense of the men as well. Prejudice against anarchists was present during
the time of this trial had a great impact on the outcome of the case and left a lasting impression of
America. Another man ended up confessing to the murders, but Sacco and Vanzetti were continually
denied a new trial. Just as in Frank s trial, the defense for Sacco and Vanzetti applied for clemency but
did not receive it. Furthermore, a judge was able to deny their appeals and eventually this rule was
rewritten in Massachusetts so judges no longer have this power. The fear of communism and prejudice
against immigrants played a major role in this case and impacts people s lives

Direct Combustion Of Biomass For Heat Generation
Direct combustion is the most common way of converting biomass to energy both heat and electricity
and worldwide it already provides over 90% of the energy generated from biomass. Direct combustion
of solid biomass fuel is well understood, relatively straightforward, commercially available, and can
be regarded as a proven technology. Biomass combustion systems can be easily integrated with
existing infrastructure. Direct combustion of biomass for heat generation is widely used in cold
climate regions where there are significant annual demands for space heating and hot water. Domestic
biomass fired heating appliance in the developed countries have been improved with automation and
standardized fuel supplies (e.g. wood pellets). Compared with traditionally open fireplaces, these
advanced domestic biomass applications not only achieve efficiencies of over 70% but also with
greatly reduced atmospheric emissions (Liu H. 20 II)
Figure 4.2 Three steps of biomass combustion (Liu H. 2011)
4.3.2 Biomass gasification
Thermo chemical gasification is the conversion by partial oxidation at high temperature of a
carbonaceous feedstock such as biomass into a gaseous energy carrier (Liu H. et al. 2010). The gas
resulted from biomass gasification consists of CO,
CO2, H2, CH4, higher hydrocarbons such as ethane and ethene, water, nitrogen (if air is used as the
oxidizing agent) and other contaminants such as small char particles, ash, tars and oils. Gasification

Life s Little Treasures Preschool
Philosophy Statement
At Life s Little Treasures Preschool, we believe that play is a fundamental part of your child s
upbringing, and recognise that there is a symbiotic relationship between place, learning and
development (Fleer, 2013, p. 184), which is greatest supported through our natural environments and a
sociocultural philosophy of Early Childhood Education inspired by Lev Vygotsky (Berk, 2006).
Our preschool s outdoor play area provides limitless opportunities for your children to learn through
play, whilst acquiring respect and an appreciation for nature and their environment, working towards
and achieving all five Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Outcomes (Australian Department of
Education, Employment and Workplace, [ADEEW] , 2009)
At our center we strongly encourage both family and community members to actively involve
themselves in our outdoor play areas as much as they can. This in turn will help with the development
of your child s sense of belonging, being and becoming (ADEEW, 2009) which is vital for growth and
development formation but in addition willl also strengthen their play experience, feeling of wellbeing
and overall learning (Australian Children s Education Care Quality Authority [ACECQA, 2013,
standard 6).
Child Safety
Keeping children safe in our outdoor learning area is a top priority. All children have the right to

The beginning of the episode will feature an introduction about Davison s early life. She was born in
Blackheath, South East London and had two sisters and a brother, swell as several step siblings from
her father s first marriage. Accompanied with a narration about her family a life montage of
photographs of London during late 19th century will be included to show the audience the
overcrowded and low socioeconomic conditions Davidson would have grown up in. To demonstrate
the challenges Davison faced in her childhood a visual of her father s death certificate would be
shown, as this caused economic and social issues for Davison in her early life. Davison had to drop
out of the Royal Halloway College due to her inability to afford the 20 pound fees per term. Davison
attended St Hugh s College in 1892 but was unable to graduate due to the societal conceptions that
women s education was less important than a man s. A short clip of the St Hugh s College will
accompany a visual of her first class honours result in her final exams to emphasise Davison s high
academic ability and further accentuate the misogynistic attitudes that affected women s academia
during the late 18th and early 19th Century. Davison s challenging upbringing begs the question
whether it motivated her to be such a key figure for the women s suffrage movement? A narration

Opposing Views On Life After Death
Introduction:
Ultimate Questions are questions that cannot be answered or explained scientifically. An example of
one is Is There Life After Death , which will be explored. Different religions and cultures believe that
different things happen after we die. Humans prepare for the future all their lives, yet meet the next
life totally unprepared. This is a quote by the Tibetan Master, Drakpa Gylsten. This quote suggests that
humans are rebirthed, and have new lives after death. Buddhists and Christians have a somewhat
contrasting view on life after death. Christians believe that humans do not live only one life, but two.
Catholics believe in a place called purgatory, where people whom have un confessed sins go
temporarily, until clean enough to enter heaven. Buddhists believe in karma and rebirth. Religions
have opposing views on the topic of life after death, all which vary greatly.
{SLIDE TWO}
What happens to your soul after you die?
Many people wonder what happens to your soul after you die and there are many possibilities.
Buddhists believe that you could enter six different realms, or be rebirthed and Christians believe that
depending on your faithfulness to God, after death one either enters into heaven or hell.
{NEXT SLIDE}
Ecclesiastes 9:5 says For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no
further reward, and even their name is forgotten. This verse is stating that everyone alive knows the
inevitable truth that eventually,

Desmond Doss As A Hero Essay
A man named Patrick Stewart once said: There are times, sir, when men of good conscience cannot
blindly follow orders. And Desmond Doss as a Conscientious Objector did not follow orders to pick
up his rifle and kill to serve his country during WWII. He decided to serve his country in a different
way, to serve as a medic and to save lives instead of taking them and never to pick up a weapon to
violate God s commandment that thou shalt not kill. And even without a weapon Desmond was able to
save 75 men, and I admire Desmond for holding to his beliefs and being a true hero. Desmond could
have easily retreated down the face of Hacksaw Ridge with the rest of his squadron and left those men
up there, but he didn t. Every single time he went to rescue another person he was putting his own life
on the line. Desmond Doss was a true hero who saved so many lives during ... Show more content on

I expected them to be more tolerant of his beliefs and understand that he could not allow himself to
take the life of another human being because God s commandment says not to. But if I have learned
anything from this class is that war and hard times influences human behavior and decision making
for the worst. Where things would normally be tolerated, they are not tolerated during a war, and
sometimes peoples rights can be discarded such as with the Japanese Internment Camps, and Sacco
and Vanzetti. I was very satisfied with the movie when Desmond s right to abide his beliefs was
granted during his court martial, and they dropped the charges of insubordination. I also loved how
Desmond pleaded not guilty during his court martial, he never used his beliefs as an excuse or
compromised by using a gun. And when they tried to Section 8 him as being mentally ill, he continued
to stand by his beliefs saying that there is nothing crazy about believing in God and abiding by his
commandment not to

A Retrieved Reformation Short Story
Change
O. Henry s short story, A Retrieved Reformation, shows a man s journey through rehabilitation. In the
story, Jimmy Valentine is in jail for robbery. Then is allowed to leave in hope he has finally learned
from his past mistakes and will stop robbing people to get what he desires. When Jimmy leaves, he
robs many more banks but does not get caught. Jimmy then goes to a small town so the cops won t be
able to find him, and the town has a train station for him to make a quick getaway. When Jimmy first
arrives to the town, he sees a lovely woman named Annabel Adams and everything changes. He
knows she won t like him if he keeps acting like his old self so, he decides he will finally change for
the better. He changes his name to Ralph Spencer and starts acting totally different. This short story
demonstrates change and how you affect people every day whether you realize it or not. At the
beginning of the coming of age story, when Jimmy gets let out of jail, we see how Jimmy has not
changed and he had went back to his old ways. To show this, the author explains multiple robberies
that happened within weeks of each other. Then, Ben Price, the detective trying to find who has been
robbing the banks, realized it was Jimmy Valentine who was back to his old ways. To show this, the
author wrote, Ben Price knew Jimmy s habits. He had learned them while working on the Springfield
case. Long jumps, quick get aways, no confederates, and a taste for good society these ways had

Character Analysis Of King Loar s King Lear
Audiences love knowing who is the villain of a story. There s a certain power in seeing something not
visible to the other characters, recognizing a seed of hatred blooming behind the scenes. It brings a
sense of satisfaction, actively rooting against the antagonist so that the hero can win. Seeing the
difference between good and bad isn t easy in real life, but in a fictional world all of the rules change,
and the audience knows the truth. In King Lear, Goneril and Regan, daughters to the king, are almost
immediately cemented into the role of antagonists due to characters reactions to them and insider
knowledge the audience gains when listening to their private talks. However, we only make this leap
because certain characters in the play want us to. But what if those characters are wrong? Maybe the
world of the play already believes Goneril and Regan are the villains, but as an outside audience we
have the option to give the sisters a chance to prove themselves. Looking at their actions, listening to
their words, nothing about the two sisters implies that they re bloodthirsty or traitors to their family.
Instead, Regan and Goneril instead seem to be protecting themselves from an unloving and possibly
abusive father. In the first scene of the play, Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia must tell their dad how
much they love him in order to receive their inheritance. Goneril and Regan flatter their dad
extensively, but Cordelia refuses to speak because her love is too great to put

The Congress was unable to fulfill its promises, conditions of India deteriorated, GDP dumps. Other parties were also unable to deliver the expectation of people, and then BJP comes with communal politics by raising Babri Masjid case. Rathyatra led by Advani is an important event which created enthusiasm in a particular section of community. After Dandi March, this is the one yatra which has succeeded because there were organizations in every level; it was pre planned and executed carefully which made it successful. The extreme case of communal riots in India took place on 27 February, 2002. The abuse of human rights started when in Sabarmati Express; one coach of Hindus who were on pilgrimage was burned at the Godhra station in which Muslims were considered as mastermind behind this action. The next day the Muslims community was targeted and huge killing took place. The organizations like Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh and Vishwa Hindu Parishad were involved in these riots. Many Masjids were destroyed, Muslim women were raped, their shops were looted. The State Government and police failed to stop the communal violence instead they helped the communal forces in locating Muslims by giving voters list and other documents for identification. It is symbolic of this because in the end of the play Hally has a couple of choices he can make. In the end of the play, Sam says Should we try again, Hally (Fugard 62)? Sam is referring to Hally that he wants to patch things up and hopefully repair their relationship. In the play Hally asks how they can do that, and Sam replies Fly another kite, I suppose (Fugard 62). This is one of the choices given to Hally at the end of the play. Also, Sam says that You know what that bench means now, and you can leave it any time you choose (Fugard 62). This is the other choice that he must decide on. In an interview, Athol Fugard, says that What I find I cannot lose faith and hope in is what Sam says to Hally in the end of the play. What Sam s little moment amounts to, is saying to this little white boy who is going to walk out after a series of very traumatic incidents: You can choose the quality of the life you re going to live. It s absolutely your choice (Fugard 98). This symbolizes Hally s future because based on what decisions he makes they will affect his future. Unfortunately, the author of the play leaves Hally s future as a cliffhanger in the end. Although, Hally does say and act on his choices it is not clear if anything is resolved. • 4. Osteoporosis And Treatment Of Osteoporosis Essay Osteoporosis is one of the most prevalent bone diseases worldwide (Mulcahy, et al.). It is characterised as a disease which leads to the loss of bone mass due to bone deterioration, therefore leading to bones becoming more brittle and fragile (U.S. Department of Health and Human services, 2004). Physiologically, bone is constantly re modelled by concerted and coordinated interactions between osteoclasts, type of cells that are involved in resorption of the bones, and osteoblasts, which ensure bone formation and mineralization. Osteoporosis results from an imbalance between bone deposition and resorption (Castiglioni, et al., 2013) Osteoporosis affects millions of people worldwide, but the groups that are at highest risks include elderly and post menopausal women (International Osteoporosis Foundation, 2015). As osteoporosis is associated with aging, it becomes a major health concern as the aging population will double over the next decade (Age UK, 2016). Due to that fact, there has been an increase in an interest in development of the preventive strategies for decreasing the incidence of osteoporosis. One of most important strategies is dietary intervention, as there are nutritious factors that play a key role in formation and development of the bones. These things can be anything between attention deficit disorder to down syndrome. It is the teacher s job to understand what that child is going through in order to ensure that they receive the best available education possible. Now a teacher might say, I am not required to know how to teach special education , which is where most of these students will be placed. But ones with minor learning differences will be seen in everyday classroom environments. Therefore, a teacher should want to educate every student to the best of their ability to ensure that no matter what learning difference a child has that that child can be successful in life. One specific learning difference I am going to talk about today is dyslexia. Many do not know what this learning difference really is or even all of its causes, and symptoms. Many people probably do not know what the child has to go through when getting an RTI or what that even is. They may not take in perspective on what impact that child has on its family. Teachers should know how to give dyslexic children the best education possible, and this starts out by getting with the family and forming and RTI. Then there are many appropriate tools that may be used to ensure that the children can succeed in their education. Description, Causes, and Symptoms What is Dyslexia? Externalizing behavior can be displayed in forms of aggression, hyperactivity and rebellion. Internalizing behavior can be displayed in the forms of anxiousness and depressive behavior (Liu, 2004). Both behavioral problems manifest in the child s inward and outward behavior. There are negative life long outcomes such as violence, depression, anxiety, etc. that are associated with children who practice these behavioral coping mechanisms. Parenting Styles Psychologist Diana Braumrind theorized that there are four patterns of parenting styles (Uninvolved, Permissive, Authoritarian and Authoritative Parenting) based off of two concepts: control and warmth (Kopko, 2007). Unlike Western cultures, who generally follow an Authoritative parenting style, most Japanese and Chinese parents follow a more Authoritarian parenting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Gothic Trope Deception In Caleb Williams Not only does Ann Radcliffe use the gothic trope deception and destruction William Godwin uses it as well throughout his novel Caleb Williams. However, Godwin uses deception through political systems and through the two main characters, Falkland and Caleb Williams. Falkland is an urban landowner and hires Caleb Williams to transcribe, arrange certain papers and partly write his dictation letters of business, as well as sketches of literary composition: he performed the functions of a librarian as well as secretary (Godwin 1.1.pg.5). Falkland is believed to be a well off and exceedingly appreciated landlord, who is passionately eager of keeping his appearance. For example on page 4 in volume one chapter one Caleb describes Falkland as a man of stature and he was kind and attentive. He is known to be an understanding businessperson but is vulnerable to uncharacteristic hysterics of convulsions which no one knows about except his servant, Collins. On the other hand, three months after Caleb started working for him he saw Falkland having one of these distempers: he heard the lid of a chest hastily slam and lock and heard a voice that seemed supernaturally tremendous. The sound of it thrilled Caleb s very vitals and saw Falkland rising up from the floor (Godwin 1.1 pg.7) because of this Caleb was very curious as to why his boss had this random outburst. Caleb later finds out this outburst is caused by his sensibility and how it is shrunk up and withered by events that are most disgustful to his feelings...his mind was incapable to survive the wound that his pride had sustained (Godwin 1.1. pg. 8). This makes Caleb even more interested in finding out about his boss because he now believes Falkland is being misleading and is hiding something he did in the past. Caleb examines his master s habits and history and finally comes to a conclusion that this apparently honorable character is a murderer. As soon as there is intensity in the house, Caleb is on the verge of opening a chest in his master s room, however, Falkland catches Caleb in the act. Once Falkland believes that Caleb knows he actually confesses and threatens Caleb with horrible retribution if he makes an effort to leave his duties. Falkland states: I ... During the 19th century, expressionism as an art movement was prevalent all across Europe, but was truly prominent in Germany. This art movement was seen across all artistic mediums such as painting, theater, and literature as a reaction to realism and impressionism. Towards the end of the arts movement, expressionism made its way into film, depicting the tormented psychological realities of post World War Germany. Making up the AI are five faculty members responsible for teaching the core courses, two full time staff members, three graduate students and simulator instructors. On the surface, the AI appears to be a typical department nestled within a larger collegiate system, however, there is some qualities that make the AI unique. The most important distinction is the flight training program. This is because of the various stakeholders that are involved with flight training. One of the key stakeholders is the Federal Aviation Association (FAA). The FAA heavily dictates the ground and flight training curriculum. There is a specific list of standards and training time that must be met in order to reach compliance, and in addition, the AI prepares for an annual inspection by a designated principle operation inspector (POI) who ensures compliance. This poses a challenge for the AI being that the requirements set forth by the FAA do not always lend themselves to the traditional collegiate structure. In addition to the FAA, the AI works with two independent flight schools that are contracted to provide service for the students of the AI. Each flight school is a separate business with a separate organizational culture, yet they partner with the AI students who are in pursuant of their flight certificates. Finally, on the airport administration side of the AI, there is an equal amount of external stakeholders made up of organizational leaders and alumni that assist in the development of the aviation administration ... Frank underwent an unjust trial and ultimately lost his life due to the racial prejudices and violence that enticed Atlanta during this time period. Atlanta felt threatened by outsiders after the Civil War and this was apparent during Frank s trial. Despite the lack of evidence against Frank, the people of Atlanta were quick to believe the guilt of a northern Jew. Leo Frank s story was spread widely after his death. Movies, books, and articles about the Frank case have caused the trial to gain further notoriety. The aftermath of Frank s case and ultimately his untimely death, show how racial tensions and the facilitation of fear towards outsiders can have detrimental consequences. People today can examine this case and see how race and notion of outsiders still plays a role in our court system today. Additionally, the role the media played in Frank s case sealed his fate to the masses after painting him as a deviant, and this practice of speaking to ones character is still used by the media during cases and trials today. Examining the effects the media plays on a case is an important practice that people living today should engage in. An example of one is Is There Life After Death , which will be explored. Different religions and cultures believe that different things happen after we die. Humans prepare for the future all their lives, yet meet the next life totally unprepared. This is a quote by the Tibetan Master, Drakpa Gylsten. This quote suggests that humans are rebirthed, and have new lives after death. Buddhists and Christians have a somewhat contrasting view on life after death. Christians believe that humans do not live only one life, but two. Catholics believe in a place called purgatory, where people whom have un confessed sins go temporarily, until clean enough to enter heaven. Buddhists believe in karma and rebirth. Religions have opposing views on the topic of life after death, all which vary greatly. {SLIDE TWO} What happens to your soul after you die? Many people wonder what happens to your soul after you die and there are many possibilities. Buddhists believe that you could enter six different realms, or be rebirthed and Christians believe that depending on your faithfulness to God, after death one either enters into heaven or hell. {NEXT SLIDE} Ecclesiastes 9:5 says For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. Where things would normally be tolerated, they are not tolerated during a war, and sometimes peoples rights can be discarded such as with the Japanese Internment Camps, and Sacco and Vanzetti. I was very satisfied with the movie when Desmond s right to abide his beliefs was granted during his court martial, and they dropped the charges of insubordination. I also loved how Desmond pleaded not guilty during his court martial, he never used his beliefs as an excuse or compromised by using a gun. And when they tried to Section 8 him as being mentally ill, he continued to stand by his beliefs saying that there is nothing crazy about believing in God and abiding by his commandment not to ... • 35. Character Analysis Of King Loar s King Lear Audiences love knowing who is the villain of a story. There s a certain power in seeing something not visible to the other characters, recognizing a seed of hatred blooming behind the scenes. It brings a sense of satisfaction, actively rooting against the antagonist so that the hero can win. Seeing the difference between good and bad isn t easy in real life, but in a fictional world all of the rules change, and the audience knows the truth. In King Lear, Goneril and Regan, daughters to the king, are almost immediately cemented into the role of antagonists due to characters reactions to them and insider knowledge the audience gains when listening to their private talks. However, we only make this leap because certain characters in the play want us to. But what if those characters are wrong? Maybe the world of the play already believes Goneril and Regan are the villains, but as an outside audience we have the option to give the sisters a chance to prove themselves. In the first scene of the play, Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia must tell their dad how much they love him in order to receive their inheritance. Goneril and Regan flatter their dad extensively, but Cordelia refuses to speak because her love is too great to put ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
