homes, and blue meaning an oversupply of foster homes. From figure 1, we can see that Dallas
County is facing a deficit (undersupplied) of foster homes available to foster children. We can also
see from Figure 1 that the surrounding areas of Dallas, such as: Denton county, Collin county,
Kaufman county, and Rockwall county all have an oversupply of foster homes. This means that
children from Dallas county have no other choice but to move to foster homes outside of Dallas
county. This results in moving away from friends and family, which can be traumatizing to a child.
We feel that this is one of the primary problems we aim to fix in the Dallas foster care system.

therefore the letter had not done its task (Martin 122). To the Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale, the

front of the community and take responsibility for his actions. His guilt and sin become
magnified by his inability to stand beside Hester at the scaffold. Dimmesdale, also is ironically
charged with questioning Hester and trying to convince her of the importance of identifying her

care home for the elderly located next to a busy main road in a small town. Established for over
25 years, the home is owned and run by qualified nurses who specialise in looking after confused,
elderly residents. It can accommodate 32 service users for residential care and also provide
respite care, day care and dementia care. There are currently 18 full or part time care staff plus

How does having a positive relationship with a teacher affect the student? Students who portray
positive attitudes and earn more trust from their teachers as a result would pose this question. When
I did my Community Service Learning (CSL) placement at my Elementary/Junior High school for a
past education course, one thing I gained out of this experience was establishing relationships with
not only teachers (ie. visiting former teachers after school and observing clubs I once attended),
but also the students I tutored (namely groups of students from Grades 2 and 9 as well as a second
grade class). Putting this topic in mind, I decided to discuss the research behind the benefit as I
reflect through my experiences with the rapport I built through the perspective of these students
(and assuming I took the role of a teacher). Research shows that this often leads to higher academic
achievement and motivation as well as improved emotional and behavioural strengths and

In today s modern world it seems as if all major events have an official story, and another often
less credible story pursued by doubters and sceptics of the government or the details in the story.
These sceptics are more often than not referred to as conspiracy theorists. The issue that arises with
these conspiracy theoriesis that while some sound over the top ridiculous, some have turned out to
be all but true. For this reason, conspiracies are often controversial, they make serious issues into
a fairytale, or a simple non serious event into a serious concerns. These theories are the result of
paranoia regardless of their truth, they are often formed on assumptions, absence of information,
and fear. For these reasons a conspiracy can be formed around nearly any situation, disaster or
event. Conspiracy theories are not just a modern phenomenon either, and they can be found
throughout human history, but with today s technology it has become easier than every to spread
these ideas around. These ideas propagate due to the culture surrounding the world, and the fear
individuals have of the unknown. Many people prefer elaborate stories over simple explanations,
especially when they feel their government is behind the event. Misunderstanding, disbelief, denial,
fear and human abilities and emotion play into why and how these conspiracy theories emerge.
