Historically Black College and Universities: Are they worth saving? The first historically black
college (HBCU) was the Cheyney University of Pennsylvania which opened its door to colored

Money in the form of tuition, government funding, and personal donations allow institutions to
fund programs and ultimately make the college experience enjoyable to current as well as
prospective students. Historically black colleges lack both the government funding, personal

many HBCUs are dated facilities, lack scholarship opportunities and offer fewer programs for
students looking to apply. Many HBCUs have loss accreditation in a number of programs with
contributes to the decline of enrollment and furthermore a loss of potential revenue. However,
regardless of the harsh reality many of these colleges are facing, their impact on society and most

Vaccine For The West Nile Virus
Herd immunity is the form of immunity that directly occurs as a result of individuals who are
vaccinated versus those who are not. In a given naive population, the west nile virus can spread
randomly throughout individuals, with the contact of each other only accelerating the spread. In a
population where half has randomly received some form of vaccination, certain barriers between
those that are vaccinated can protect specific individuals who have not been vaccinated against the
spread of the virus (Vaccines Today, 2015). In all, the percentage of infected individuals is much
less in a somewhat vaccinated population than in an entirely naive population. Herd immunity can

The amount of people in a given population that would need vaccine immunization in order to
achieve herd immunity with the west nile virus would vary within given populations and location
most importantly, as the virus itself is more prevalent in certain parts of the world . The idea itself
of a population that could receive vaccinations to protect individuals and to protect even more
vulnerable members of their communities by reducing the spread of the disease enough to further
the development of the west nile virus, which can so easily affect any individual prone to some
form of interaction with mosquitos.
The vaccination process would not be a simple administered injection because of the underlying
fact that each mosquito can potentially transmit a different type of west nile virus lineage. The
vaccine would have to be specific to that west nile virus lineage, as transmitted per mosquito. In
the ideal clinic, a blood sample of an infected individual would be collected and analyzed for the
formation of antibodies against the specific virus lineage. This would ensure that that the correct
virus lineage would be targeted in the vaccine. The proteins to be further administered with the west
nile vaccine would originate from a serum sample collected afterwards with the specific virus strain.

Just A Dream Narrative
Prologue: Just a Dream
The cool crisp air, the leaves changing different colors, the moist wet grounds of the mud and the
dry crunchy leaves, the warm sunlight through the tall trees of the forest, being outdoors for hours
and running for a long time without getting tired. That is a few of my favorite things about being a
wolf and also is my favorite season because Halloween, pumpkin spice or minty drinks with treats
also get to be myself for a while. I always have this dream where I just run and run, just to get out
of the house to get some air to clear my mind from lots of things that is running through my mind.
The cool crisp air makes me breath heavy though my nose and muzzle, its kind the of the cold that
is like a frozen ice cube in the freezer. The moon shines down through the tall trees of the forest
that makes my fur glow silver color like a glow in the dark shiny sticker. The light breeze tickles
and blows though my white fur that makes me shiver in delight. The warm like sticky mud and
grass squashes underneath my paws while running though my favorite part of the woods that is
on my daily running patrol route. I couldn t sleep, so I was dying to go for a run also to clear my
mind from a lot of things that isn t normal for a teenager girl like myself, which shouldn t be

who were his first enemies and have all gathered around where he was so they would make him
understand how it was like to watch their kind all die by the hand of Grendel. Grendel though

wall; is it not hard (Gardner 12)? Beowulf proves to grendel that grendel is not all that is out
there in the world. Grendel does not understand that the world has become fearful because of
him. Grendel still follows his own way of life and as a result has his arm torn off by Beowulf.
Grendel runs off his arm leaking blood and slowly dieing. After a while Grendel begins to say
that he did not feel any pain in his arm anymore every step he takes he repeats accident to himself.

A Brief Note On The Veterans Centre ( Vc ) At Sunnybrook...
In the Veterans Centre (VC) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre a standardized tool was
developed to assist nurses with the completion of their pre rounds documentation. However
compliance with the tool on one patient care unit is falling below the nurse manager s expectations.
Additionally, communication of the notes information by nurses during rounds is not reflecting
best practiceand critical thinking. The purpose of this paper is to outline a proposal that will aim at
improving these two aspects of professional nursing practice.
Introduction
On a biweekly basis, interprofessional team rounds are held on each unit to update the plan of care
and to discuss ways to optimize a resident s cognitive, physical, and psychosocial abilities. As the
individual who has the most interaction with the resident, nurses play a key role in communicating
to the team, the resident s overall health status. The template in Appendix A outlines the areas of
best practice that nurses are expected to be knowledgeable about with regards to their residents.
This template follows the Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation or SBAR
format, incorporates corporate best practices, and the care plan indicators from the Minimum Data
Set assessment tool. Likewise, the verbal communication of this information during rounds by the
nurses should employ aspects of best practice and critical thinking. Improvement in these two areas
has been identified and is the overall aim of this

Epicurus On Fear
Fearing the eternal sleep
When people think about the possibility of death, pain is the most commonly thing that comes to
their mind. For many people they have asked the question what is death to us. Some have stated
that it is not something to fear because it is annihilation and no one can experience death. While
other people have claimed that death is bad because it takes one from all the good in life. I believe
death is something to be feared because it brings many bad experiences to people.
First of all some people have determined that death is not something to be fear. One such famous
philosopher is Epicurus and he claims that death is not bad. One statement made by Epicurus is
that death is not bad, it is the dying part that is bad.

Historical Background
The name Starbucks came from a character that was chief mate aboard the Pequod in the novel
Moby Dick by Herman Melville (Rolph, 2012). Originally, the name for the company was Pequod
until one of the original co owners vetoed it and agreed on the name Starbucks instead. Now, we
associate the name Starbucks with the company logo, which features a two tailed Greek mythology
figure called siren.
The Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) is an American, multinational coffee chain formed in 1985.

These are just some of what gives Starbucks the competitive advantage. By staying ahead of the
competition, Starbucks is not only able to set industry trends but also satisfy its customers,
employees and shareholders.
The basis of the competitive advantage Starbucks has on the coffee shop industry stems from its
ability to market its brand and live up to its mission statement. In addition, Starbucks doesn t rely
solely on its products for obtaining and sustaining the upper hand. According to MarketRealist.com,
when customers enter a Starbucks establishment they are taking on an entire process and
experience (Krikorian, 2014). By choosing Starbucks, customers can customize their drinks to
perfection by selecting one of its 30 different options of premier coffee blends. Following the order
process, customers can enjoy the great atmosphere by listening to music or perhaps enjoy taking
part in friendly conversations with pleasant workers and patrons. Simply put, Starbucks thrives on a
connected customer experience that differentiates them from the rest of the industry. Also, retail

Clowns Coulrophobia
Coulrophobia. That is the word for an excessive fear of clowns. While I don t think there are a
lot of people who suffer from clown phobia, there are many people who just don t like them.
Clowns have been around for ages and appear in most cultures in varying forms. From court
jesters and mimes to rodeo and circus clowns their primary purpose was to make people laugh.
To provide comic relief. Somewhere along the line clowns became dark. Facebook even has an I
Hate Clowns page with some 400,000 followers! Is it because clowns always possessed a certain
sadness. Were they always just mirroring humanity with all our imperfections or was it something
else? I m not sure, but clownphobia did not seem so prevalent prior to the IT movie in 1990. IT was
based on Stephen Kings 1986 novel of the same title and both the book and movie instilled a fear
into what seems like an entire generation of kids. In the novel, Stephen King s IT was about a
demon who feeds on fear. IT was banished to earth and wakes every 27 to 30 years to terrorize
kids and feast upon their flesh, which tastes better to him when they are afraid. He can take any
form but uses the clown because children are more easily frightened than adults. In the novel the
clown is evil, alien, and other worldly. Something timeless and ageless, something eternal that can
be stopped for a while but not destroyed. The portrayal of Pennywise in the original movie did not
follow the book as well as the 2017

Animals And Its Effects On A Terrestrial Environment
One of the following challenges that various animals adapted to from a water dominant
environment to a terrestrial environment is that they protected themselves from drying out. In
order to carry this adaptation out and avoid desiccation (a process where organisms lose water to
the air), plants developed the adaptation of cuticle; a waxy and protective surface layer that is
secreted around the exposed surfaces of a plant. This surface is relatively impermeable which
essentially helps avoid water loss from taking place in the plant. Additionally, it prevents them from
acquiring different types of bacteria and viruses. Another structure that was adapted to prevent
water loss was the stomata, which allows water to diffuse out of the plant when it closes. This
adaptation is essential because plants need water to go through photosynthesisin order to produce
energy. Animals additionally faced the same challenge as well when evolving onto a terrestrial
environment. In order to avoid water loss, amphibians usually stayed within moist surroundings
since they needed their skin to be wet, so that oxygencan pass through their skin and help them
breathe. They didn t possess any adaptations capable of letting them survive in a dry land
environment due to the reliance of their moist skin needed to perform vital life functions. However,
reptiles evolved overcame this challenge with the dry, watertight skin they developed. This
adaptation significantly reduced the amount of water

A Interview On A Clinical Mental Health Counselor
A Personal Interview The purpose of this paper is for me to present a summary of a personal
interview had with Heather Smith, a clinical mental health counselor. It will further explore a day
to day basis on how working as a clinical mental health counselor, may be. Lastly, it will also
reflect my personal reflections about my future as a counselor based on information learned in this
course.
Narrative Summary of Interview
On October 26, I had the pleasure of interviewing Heather Smith a clinical mental health counselor.
Heather Smith is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Alexandria Virginia. She specializes
in PTSD, Anxiety, Trauma, Marital and Premarital counseling. In addition to these specialties, she
also treats disorders such as Dissociative Disorders, Impulse Control disorders, and personality
disorders. Ms. Smith also works closely with Women s issues that include coping skills, sexual
abuse, depression, and suicidal ideation. Ms. Smith services a population of clients ranging from
adolescents (14 19), to adults as well.
Heather believes the primary differences that separate a clinical mental health counselor and other
mental health professionals such as: a social worker and psychologist are due to the type of work
they focus on primarily. Although, social workers, and psychologist may counsel clients, the
majority may have more in depth specification of study. Social workers are likely to work in case

Symbolism In Ernest J. Gaines A Lesson Before Dying
Ernest J. Gaines, the author of A lesson Before Dying is an effective storyteller as he uses vast
amounts of stylistic elements to demonstrate his points on characters, racism and stereotypes.
Gaines uses elements like biblical allusions to draw subtle references about main characters, such
as Grant, Jefferson and even Miss Emma. Gaines uses symbolism to represent key points in the
novel like Jefferson s death, the community s willingness to contribute and the respect that
characters have for one another. Finally Gaines uses archetypes like hero and the underdog for
characters Grant and Jefferson to give the reader a perspective of what the characters may have to
go through with such a label. Using stylistic elements like biblical allusions,... Show more content

Grant is constantly being forced into the hero role even though he does not want this, and feels
that he can t make a difference. Grant is asked from the start to make Jefferson into a man before
his death, he can t think of why he was asked to do this and not somebody else, or how he should
even go about completing the task. Another example is when Grant is at the bar and overhears
two men talking badly of Jefferson, he raises to defend his new friend, getting hurt in the
process, but, Grant knows he stood up for what he believed was right. Then the tall one said
something, and the fat one snickered, and I thought I had heard enough. I went up to their table.
Shut up. (Gaines, 199) Even though Grant does not think he makes a difference, the author still
proves that Grant is a hero by showing he will stand up for what he thinks is right and is learning
new values along the way. Jefferson is displayed, by the author, as the underdog, except in this
case almost no one is rooting for him to win. Jefferson had barely talked in the beginning,
leaving those who visited him frustrated and unwilling to return. This showed a lot about his
character as he was so greatly ashamed of the accusation made against him that he couldn t bare
to talk to anyone, not wanting to let them down further with the words he could say. Ain t you go
n speak to me, Jefferson? He remained quiet. [...] You want to just talk to me? [...] He didn t
answer her. (Gaines 72) Jefferson later pulls through, and finds a calm in himself, he has full
conversations and finds new respect for others and a new friend, before his time ends. Gaines
shows his ability to represent character growth in at least two different ways, one coming to terms
with themselves and their values, and the breakthrough. By using archetypes to his advantage,
Gaines has

The Olympics Between Dark Millennium And The Iron Age
Introduction
In the past one hundred years, a large number of Bronze Age seal have continuously unearthed in
the Gulf region. Through the excavation and research of these finds, archaeologists have found that
these seals can reflect the economic, political and cultural development of the Gulf states in the
Bronze Age. The Bronze Age is the time between Dark Millennium and the Iron Age, c. 3200 1300
BC, which, in archaeology, are usually divided into four periods:
1)Late Bronze Age (1600 1300 BC)

In ancient times, the convenience of geography made communication possible which is undeniable,
however, there are different opinions on the direction, intensity and breadth of the exchange.
Examples of long distance exchange in prehistory (Reade, 2008): Copal beads; Goat bones and
Clove head.
The most significant exchange is economy including local trade and interregional trade. As Reade
(2008) suggested above that the importance of the overland trade between east and west was equal
to the maritime trade via Persian Gulf, nonetheless ships had dozens of advantages over caravan.
While the most widely accepted view is the seafaring trade route is more important, especially for
the trade exchange between Mesopotamia and Indus via Bahrain ().
From a political point of view, after comparing Dilmun seals and the contemporary royal cap of
Mesopotamia, HГёjlund (2000) believe that the seal imitated the shape of the royal cap, and
thereby it was endowed with the power of king and the authority of gods. Conversely, some other
researches states that, as an example of Dilmun society, as a means of organizing trade and social
management, seals are used by both individuals and officials (Larsen, 2010).

After introductory remarks on the problem called truth and religion to show the peculiarity and the

determining the truth of religion.
In the past the study of religion was used both to criticize and to defend a particular religion
(usually Christianity). I do not however aim at providing arguments that a certain religion (e.g.
Christianity) or religion in general is true. I hope, however, that my analysis will contribute to the
solution of the problem of truth of religion in general and of religions other than Christianity and
will do this from a neutral point of view, not from that of the Christian religion.
At the very beginning we face the problem of the multitude of expressions: truth question in
religion, truth of religion, truth about religion, religious truth, truth in religion. Which of them
should then be used in discussing our issue? Treating language as an active instrument of
cognition and notions as useful tools I claim that each of them, even if it has a slightly different
meaning, can be employed. However, one needs carefully to determine the following issues: (1)
what is meant by religion; (2) how the notions of truth and truth of religion are to be understood;
(3) what can be competently said with regard to the question of the truth of religion by each
particular kind of studies of religion.
The question of truth of religion was vehemently discussed at the dawn of the comparative studies

A Lacanian Study of Motherhood in the Poems of William...
William Wordsworth was a prolific poet of the Romantic movement, perhaps best known for
publishing Lyrical Ballads with friend and fellow poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge in 1798. These
poems were written in what Wordsworth described as a common tongue with a focus on themes
often found in Romantic poetry, such as the pastoral, the mythical, fragmentation, heroism and
satire. In Lyrical Ballads one recurring subject almost unique to Wordsworth in its passion and
persistence is that of motherhood. The connection between womanhood and nature make it a
frequently explored theme for many poets, such as Blake in his Songs of Innocence. However, I
have chosen to focus on Wordsworth since motherhood is not only examined at great length in...

It takes place when the infant, between the ages of six and eighteen months, looks into a mirror
and recognises its reflection. This may be traumatic for the child, since viewing a whole image
provokes the notion of the fragmented body, its own undeveloped form not yet fully under its
control. However, ultimately this stage is one of liberation. The infant, for all its physical
incapability is able to identify itself and yet it is free from its functions as a subject that it will
later undergo as it is indoctrinated into the world of language. This primary sense of ego in its
own reality is later destroyed by social determination and the constructs of normality, putting the I
in a place of permanent discordance with reality. This disturbance is similar to Freud s concept of
the uncanny, described by Bennett and Royle as ...not just a matter of what s weird and spooky,
but has more to do specifically with a disturbance of the familiar . Instances of the uncanny
emphasis this discrepancy between the world that our ego has constructed and the harsh truths we
are faced with in the Real. At this point, the relationship between the child and its surroundings has
changed. Where once the omnipotent mother served as its entire world, the infant now finds its
mind and body (the motherless, non extended self) fused perilously at the mercy of a new world.
However, our relation to the nature of this new world is distorted

Albert Bandura s Theory Of Learning And Development
Social learning theory proposed by Albert Bandura has become the most influential theory of
learning and development. According to Bandura, people learn from each other through
observation, imitation and modeling. Social Learning theory explains human behavior in term of
continuous reciprocal interaction between cognitive, behavioral and environmental interaction.
Bandura believed that direct reinforcement could not account for all types of learning. While the
behavioral theories of learning suggested that all learning was the result of associations formed by
conditioning, reinforcement, and punishment, Bandura s social learning theoryproposed that
learning can also occur simply by observing the actions of others. His theory added a social element,
arguing that people can learn new information and behaviors by watching other people. Known as
observational learning(or modeling), this type of learning can be used to explain a wide variety of
behaviors.
Bandura explained:
Learning would be exceedingly laborious, not to mention hazardous, if people had to rely solely on
the effects of their own actions to inform them what to do. Fortunately,... Show more content on

Charlotte Perkins Gilman s Cupid in the Kitchen
Charlotte Perkins Gilman s Cupid in the Kitchen
As a reader in the 1990 s it s tempting to see Charlotte Perkins Gilman s Cupid in the Kitchen as
revolutionary and ahead of its time. She proposes the complete professionalization of the nutritive
and execretive functions of society, a radical, if not revolutionary notion. However, in the light of
the fin de siecle birth of the modern feminist movement, Gilman is but one voice in many crying
for economic and social justice for women. In effect, the rhetorical situation of 1898 demanded
and created this discourse as it does all discourse (Bitzer 5). Gilman s Cupid is a natural and elegant
response to the conditions which created it: the continuing surplus of unmarried ... Show more

This event also inspired Gilman s work. In this respect, Gilman s Cupid is neither revolutionary
nor ahead of its time. That it bemoans the status of women in society and demands new
opportunities for employment makes this piece more typical than remarkable. That is not to say
that it is trivial. Gilman s book was both topical and significant in 1898. But what s most
interesting in the 1990 s is how her work differs from that of her contemporaries. What makes it
stand out? How is it revolutionary, and why has it been anthologized? To answer these questions,
the reader must follow the work to where the energy in the prose leads. This calls for a close
examination of the most striking feature of her work, the proposal itself.
Gilman s vision is revolutionary, and in some respects, prophetic. She proposes that the domestic
chores of cleaning and nutrition be professionalized. Because they are so important, she argues,
these tasks should be performed by well educated and trained professionals. She suggests that urban
families living in flats and apartments could eat at a central, professionally staffed kitchen. In the
suburbs, several houses could be linked by a kitchen in a similar way (Gilman 217 19).
Her system offers several advantages. Obviously, people s nutritional requirements could be better
met by a centralized, professionally staffed kitchen. In all

Ideals And Controversies Of National Park Expansion
Ideals and Controversies of National Park Expansion Since the early 1920s to the 1970s, there
has been a debate regarding the perceptions and standards by which national parks should be
established and limiting the expansion of national parks, limiting access for people living in
urban areas and threatening open spaces due to urban sprawl and over population. Gradually
traditional perceptions gave way to the preservationists viewpoints which redefined and
gradually expanded federal definition of national parks. This was to include areas that may not
be extraordinarily scenic but still required environmental protection or allowed recreational
access for urban citizens, allowing for expansion and more funding. In 1872, Yellowstone
National Park in Wyoming became the first national park to be established by Congress and
President Grant with the signing of the Act of Dedication Law. It followed that any national park
established subsequently would be measured against Yellowstone s significance in American
culture. (Runte, 2010, p. 190) This is based on its impressive geological features, and majestic
and monumental scenery. By the early 1900s, there was controversy surrounding the criteria as to
what would define a national park, as President Roosevelt had signed in several tracts of lands as
national parks that did not hold scenic value, where not especially expansive tracts of land, and one
was utilized as a gaming preserve by a governmental branch. One proponent to the

Payday Loan Loans Are A Good Option
But sometimes there are unforeseen financial circumstances. Paydays loans are a good option to
consider. Keep these tips in mind when thinking about getting a payday loan.
People should only use a payday loan as their last resort. Loans carry very high interest rates which
actually have you paying close to 25 percent of the initial amount of the loan. Prior to securing a
payday loan, investigate your options. A simple method to find reputable payday loan lenders to
to look on websites that review them. You can get information on which companies are
trustworthy and which ones have shady practices that you should avoid. If set on getting payday
loans, review all information before signing a contract. There are scams that are set up to offer a
subscription that you may or may not want, and take the money right out of your bank checks
account without your knowledge. Do not get involved in a never ending vicious cycle. You
should never get a payday loan to get the money to pay the note on another one. Do everything
you can to get out of this cycle. It is very easy to fall into this trap if you don t take steps to prevent
it. The costs can spiral out of control quickly and leave you broke.
Be sure you have a clear understanding of payment due dates. Loans have high rates when it comes
to their interest rates, and these companies often charge fees from late payments. It is imperative
that these types of loans are paid on time. It s even better to do so prior to the day they

Importance Of Dissection And Body Snatching During The...
Dissection and Body Snatching During the English Renaissance The Renaissance was a time
period in history that came with a plethora of changes in art, religion, music, and science.
Considered one of the most beautiful eras thus far, it shaped the modern age. Curiosity peaked in
people everywhere in Europe. Dissectiongained popularity and importance during the Renaissance,
which led to body snatching becoming common; both of these activities gave way to new
advancements. Dissection of human bodies became popular during the Renaissance time as people
started to redraw and disprove previous beliefs about human anatomy. Interest in anatomy grew for
artistic and medicinal purposes. Artists such as Raphael and Michelangelo began integrating their
knowledge of surface and deeper anatomy into their paintings (Wear). However, the majority of
anatomical knowledge at this time was based on Greek and Medieval Italian dissection of animals
(Ghosh). Comparing animal bodies to the human bodyprovided its inconsistencies, and anatomists
like Andreas Vesalius pointed them out and disproved what was considered factual. His studies
inspired scientists years to come to venture into anatomy and dissection as well. To study the inner
anatomy of the human body, scientists needed cadavers, or dead bodies, to dissect. At this time,
there was very limited access to cadavers, which led to body snatching, also known as grave
robbing, becoming extremely common. Surgeons and anatomists would go

Disney World
I really enjoy spending a day at the beach. Nothing compares to diving into the warm, foamy,
aqua waters of the ocean. I love to boogie board when the surf is full of action. The waves push
and pull you like a magnet. The strength of the water propels you forward like an arrow shot
from a bow. In the end, you find yourself washed up on the sand like seaweed. Then, you get up,
carry your board back into the water, and ride the waves to feel the thrill again. The first time I
ever experienced the ocean was on a trip to Florida in 2009. It was during the New Jersey Teacher s
Convention in November. My mom, dad, and I decided to go to Disney World in Orlando. My

It was well worth the pain, however. My dad continued to give me side by side lessons on boogie

Cyrano De Bergerac Qualities
Justifying The Qualities of Characters in Cyrano de Bergerac
In the story of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, there are people who solely focus on the
aesthetics of others instead of the personality or quality of the individual. Though it seems
completely innocent, they can only hurt themselves, and the people close to them. Cyrano de
Bergerac presents the theme of love as an umbrella to the motifs of precieuse, and platonic love,
Rostand conveys the message that judging people on external beauty, and making reality bend to
one s desires can lead to self harm, and heartbreak. When a person is a precieuse, they alter reality,
and facts to their liking, however this can only achieve sorrow, and despair upon oneself. In Act
two of Cyrano ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even Cyrano de Bergerac expresses fear with platonic love when he is met with the chance of
seeing Roxane. Le Bret tries to convince Cyrano when he declared, ...your wit, your courage
they can earn love...I saw her face, Roxane s, tonight during your duel. It was ghastly white. That
skill, that courage got the girl. You re half way there. Now dare to speak. Cyrano responds So
she can laugh at this? Why, man, there s nothing that I fear more in this world... (31). These
quotes not only show that Cyrano is very self conscious of his nose, but he does not even
attempt speak, meet with, or make contact with Roxane, unless asked to. This decision by
Cyrano might be one of the most fatal decision in his life because he did not tell Roxane how he
felt about her before she claimed that she had fallen in love with Christian. As well as being a
precieuse, Roxane is also said to use platonic love. This is true because when Roxane was talking
about Christian, and states, ...I love him. All that remains for me to say is that I ve only seen him
at the theatre , after she has mentioned such a man intelligent, young, brave, beautiful (46), she
concludes qualities about Christian that can only be decided with the eyes. These quotes also
explain that in Roxane s point of view, love can be depicted in many ways, but external beauty is

The Importance Of Setting In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Could anybody ask for a better name then Sleepy Hollow for this town. All the people of the
town are sleepy and inactive. There is also a hollow along the Hudson River which is right up
close to the town. In this short story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Irving captures the setting
well through description, how it affects the characters, and the way it fits with gothic attributes
of this time. In the first couple paragraphs it shows how much Irving wants us to get the creepy
and scared feeling. Not far from this village, perhaps about two miles, there is a little valley or
rather lap of land among high hills, which is one of the quietest places in the world (1). This is
saying that even around the village it is quiet and still. There is emptiness surrounding the village,
lurking and waiting for somebody to pass by. This short storyhas the characters behaviors reflecting
the way the setting is described. In this by place of nature there abode, in a remote period of

In this paper, I will be writing a personal journal entry in response to the textbook, Human
Sexuality in a World of Diversity (9th ed.) written by Spencer Rathus, Jeffery Nevid, and Lois
Fichner Rathus (2014). They write about genital play in children and that sexual curiosity can
develop as early as one year. I agree that children have a natural curiosity about body parts, what
they do, and how they feel. I think it is appropriate for children to learn the correct body part
terminology and have self exploration. The textbook further discusses that around the age of two
years old children can engage in genital play with other children, which could include genital

Why I Want To Pursue A Master Of Science Degree
Education is not preparation for life; Education is life for itself.
These are the words of John Dewey, which have led an everlasting impression on my mind. It
relates to the idea of lifelong learning, and the knowledge that education is much more than what
lies within the curriculum. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how
little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before
me, yet to be explored. Education is like an edifice based on strong rudiments and strengthened by
the fundamentals and practical skills acquired during one s lifetime. So my main goal is to design
the next generation innovations in field rather than being just a user of existing technologies and
findings. So I intend to pursue Master of Science degree in Automotive software Engineering at
your university as the first step towards obtaining a PHD.
Nothing is Impossible in Life has always been a motivating force behind all my achievements. I
strongly believe that enjoy what we do and having the passion to pursue, we can ultimately achieve
our destination, no matter how much efforts are needed. My inherent urge and interest to pursue
engineering emanates from an instinctive inclination for Physics and Mathematics since my
schooling. From early childhood, I was very captivated with electronic appliances around me. I
would ask my parents about their principle of working. I always tried to find out what basic

Scurvy Is Not A Disease
Scurvy is not a disease that is not talked about often. Before the twenty first century, scurvy was
prevalent in nearly every part of the world. With today s amazing advances in medicine, scurvy is
not generally a disease that most people in America or other civilized countries need to worry
about. While it is rare, scurvy does occur and it is incredibly treatable. The symptoms are reversible
and treatment is easy with the right amount of vitamin Cadded to the diet to offset what has been
missing. Scurvy is a disease that has been around since ancient times. Originally, there were
many different ideas about what caused scurvy. Genetics, toxins, the environment, and
infections were among many of the explanations for scurvy. Of all the people afflicted with
scurvy, the most numerous were sailors. Surgeons and doctors out at sea with the sailors were
among the first to be able to describe the disease in clinical detail and find a treatment that was
effective in clearing up scurvy. Sir James Lind, a surgeon for the British Navy, has been credited
with finding an easy way to treat scurvy; with lemons and oranges. While scurvy was extremely
common while out at sea, cases still came about on land as well. The people most effected by
scurvy on land were civil war soldiers, gold rushers in California, and Irish and English populations
during the Great Potato Famine. Scientists discovered an antiscorbutic factor that citrus fruits and

Linguistic Factors Of Diglossia
The contact between languages is one of the various fields investigated by socio linguistics.
Commonly it is thought that monolingualism is the most usual linguistic behaviour but language
studies disprove this belief showing that all speech communities and individuals hold a rich
linguistic repertoire which may include two or more distinct languages, different varieties of the
same languageand a wide range of registers, styles, social codes etc.
The concept of linguistic repertoire is not to be intended as a mere sum of linguistic codes since it
also concerns the way such codes interact with one another, their hierarchy and the rules running
their use. In order to clear up the logic underlying the relations emerging from the steady contact
among languages sociolinguistics introduced concepts such as diglossia code switching,
bilingualism, dilalia etc.
In the following essay the focus will essentially be on the difference between the concepts of
diglossia and code switching alongside with the description of some examples supported by an
attempt to identify the non linguistic factors which affect speakers linguistic choices.

is a form of body cleansing and detoxification that s gaining global acceptance. But the practice is
not entirely new. Indeed, for centuries ancient cultures had recognized and employed fasting as an
effective and inexpensive method of cleansing the internal organs and rejuvenating the body. Done

He believes that once the internal organs have become reasonably compromised as a result of
toxins, it often takes the body some time to clean up. A detox program that includes fasting will
hasten that cleansing process. Our modern diet is loaded with substances that clog the colon.
This results in the accumulation of toxins in the colon which are gradually transferred to fat
deposits in the body. Every body detox program should therefore start with cleansing the colon.
Bennett s detoxification program for example, involves fasting on liquids for some days, say 2
3 days. This should be followed by a carefully chosen 5 day detox diet. This approach will give
the digestive system ample time to rest and clean itself up. Other experts recommend fasting on
fruit juice, vegetable juice, and water for three to seven days as an alternative way to clear the

Alternative Aggressions
For many years, girls have been bullying other girls. However, this bullying isn t usually physical
like the type of bullying seen in boys. Girls tend to bully each other through types of alternative

Moral intensity is the degree to which an issue demands the application of ethical principles.
Decisions with high moral intensity have more significant ethical outcomes that affect more

was consistent with Wayne William s DNA. This placed William at the scene of the crime. The

Another major evidence were also dog hairs on the body of Baltazar. In 2007, the dog hair
sample was sent to a genetics laboratory at the University of California School of Veterinary
Medicine of Davis (Polk, 2010). It was confirmed that Williams German Shepherd had the same
DNA sequence. The lab reported that DNA chain could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs (Polk,
2015). A major factor, in this case, was multiple jurisdictions for conviction, not the forensic
evidence. It was ruled and confirmed by scientists that the hair evidence in the Baltazar murder to
be the strongest of this case (Polk, 2010). Consequently, the trial took place in Fulton County
Court, one of the largest parts of Atlanta. Baltazar s body had been found just over the line in the
DeKalb County portion of Atlanta. Due to a different jurisdiction, trying to include his death
among the Fulton County charges would have raised legal issues (Polk, 2010). The lack of this
critical scientific evidence made it hard to convict Williams of this murder and other murders in the

Teaching And Maintain Trusting Relationships With Peers,...
Guiding children s behaviour
Focus: Supporting children to build and maintain trusting relationships with peers, and to foster
their social skills.
Stimulus behaviour: Mahir (3 years old) actively participating in regular routine and play
experience on his own, with minimal or no interaction with others. Mahir demonstrate he has the
verbal language skills when he is pretend play with toy cars, and he shows receptive language skills
when interact with educators. However, Mahir s use of language in interaction is limited, he
requires improvement in language skill in order to develop better quality friendship (Porter, 2016).
Mahir display solitary play throughout the day, he was fully engaged in the activity by himself.
When other children talks to Mahir or initiate to play with him, Mahir does not seem to notice
other children, and maintains focus on what is he doing. According to Porter (2016), at age 2 3
years, children begin to seek out peers in earnest and they are more able to initiate interactions
(p. 157). Those evidence of social play development was absent in Mahir s case, as he display the
preference to play alone. Being socially isolated over time can have negative impact on children.
For example, depression or reactive aggression (Porter, 2016). Conversely, positive relationship are
beneficial to children s developments (Porter, 2016). Therefore, it is important to support Mahir s
social development.
The strategies I used to assist Mahir s social skills.

Short Story The Chair On Top Of The World
In the two short stories The chair on top of the world by Stuart Baum and All summer in a day
by Ray Bradbury, I will be comparing Tomas, the main character from The chair on top of the
world and Margot, the main character from All summer in a day . I will be comparing what
Tomas s personality to Margot s personality. In The chair on top of the world , Tomas, the main
character attempts to find the chair that is on top of the world. In his journey, he meets a unicorn
and 2 dragons that assist him on his quest to find the chair on top of the world. In the end, Tomas
figures out that since the world is a sphere, Wherever he stands, he will most likely be on top of
the world. All summer in a day , in this short story, Margot, a 4 year old girl moves from Earthto
Venus. 5 years later, she has grown tired of this planet s heavy rain and wants to sunto rise. A few
days later, she hears that scientists predict the sun will be finally coming out again. Margot
becomes extremely excited. But the problem is that before the teacher gets to class, William the
bully and his gang lock Margot in a closet and they go off to play in the sun. Then after 1 hour,
the rain starts again. So the children gloomily unlocked the closet and let Margot out. That was
those 2 stories. In my opinion, I like Tomas s personality more than Margot s because Tomas is
braver than Margot, the role he plays is better than Margot, and Tomas gets along better with
other characters than Margot does. One reason why I like Tomas s personality is that he
persevered until the very end. It s not up here, said the tiny dragon. Do you know where it is?
asked Tomas. The dragon shook its head. Nope, sorry. (6 Baum)The quote helps back up my
statement because This was one of the challenges Tomas faced when he wanted to find the chair
on top of the world. So Tomas went up to first the first mountain and the dragon told him that the
mountain wasn t on the top of the world. So this means that Tomas didn t give up on sitting on the
top of the world. At the end, Tomas finally accomplished his goal(sort of). I think the sun is a
flower, that blooms for just one hour. This was Margot s poem. This quote helps me explain why
Margot is not

Analysis Of The Movie Remember The Titans
Movie project
Remember the titans was a movie that was released on September 23, 2000. The movie was
directed by Boaz Yakin. The movie includes famous stars such as Denzel Washington as Coach
Herman Boone, Will Patton as Coach Bill Yoast, and Wood Harris as Julius `Big Ju . The movie
takes place in Alexandria, Virginia. The schools in Alexandria were segregated based on race. It
was in 1971 when the school board forced the people to combine the white schools and the black
schools in to one called T.C. Williams High School. Coach Boon (Denzel Washington) who
came from North Carolina was put as a head coach by the school board which made the former
coach and the white player unhappy because of his skin color. Boone offered Yoast a defensive
coordinator position which he refused first but then was forced to accept the offer when the white
player and their families pledged to boycott the school if he don t participate. Herman was seen as
savior from discrimination and segregation by the African American people. Coach Herman took
the team to a football camp to prepare them for the season. Coach Herman Boone forced the players
to sit and room together because he wanted the black and the white players to learn to respect
each other and embrace their difference. The African Americans and white players were regularly
fighting and arguing for instance captain Gerry Bertier (Ryan Hurst) and Julius Campbell (Wood
Harris) were arguing who was covering who and blaming players for not

The first historically black college (HBCU) was the Cheyney University of Pennsylvania which opened its door to colored youth in 1837. This institute was opened for the sole purpose of providing African Americanyouth with a substantial education. Cheyney was founded by a philanthropist by the name of Richard Humphreys. • 4. Vaccine For The West Nile Virus Herd immunity is the form of immunity that directly occurs as a result of individuals who are vaccinated versus those who are not. In a given naive population, the west nile virus can spread randomly throughout individuals, with the contact of each other only accelerating the spread. In a population where half has randomly received some form of vaccination, certain barriers between those that are vaccinated can protect specific individuals who have not been vaccinated against the spread of the virus (Vaccines Today, 2015). In all, the percentage of infected individuals is much less in a somewhat vaccinated population than in an entirely naive population. Herd immunity can develop in the initial stages of the use of the west nile virus... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The amount of people in a given population that would need vaccine immunization in order to achieve herd immunity with the west nile virus would vary within given populations and location most importantly, as the virus itself is more prevalent in certain parts of the world . The idea itself of a population that could receive vaccinations to protect individuals and to protect even more vulnerable members of their communities by reducing the spread of the disease enough to further the development of the west nile virus, which can so easily affect any individual prone to some form of interaction with mosquitos. The vaccination process would not be a simple administered injection because of the underlying fact that each mosquito can potentially transmit a different type of west nile virus lineage. The vaccine would have to be specific to that west nile virus lineage, as transmitted per mosquito. In the ideal clinic, a blood sample of an infected individual would be collected and analyzed for the formation of antibodies against the specific virus lineage. This would ensure that that the correct virus lineage would be targeted in the vaccine. The proteins to be further administered with the west nile vaccine would originate from a serum sample collected afterwards with the specific virus strain. • 5. Just A Dream Narrative Prologue: Just a Dream The cool crisp air, the leaves changing different colors, the moist wet grounds of the mud and the dry crunchy leaves, the warm sunlight through the tall trees of the forest, being outdoors for hours and running for a long time without getting tired. That is a few of my favorite things about being a wolf and also is my favorite season because Halloween, pumpkin spice or minty drinks with treats also get to be myself for a while. I always have this dream where I just run and run, just to get out of the house to get some air to clear my mind from lots of things that is running through my mind. The cool crisp air makes me breath heavy though my nose and muzzle, its kind the of the cold that is like a frozen ice cube in the freezer. However compliance with the tool on one patient care unit is falling below the nurse manager s expectations. Additionally, communication of the notes information by nurses during rounds is not reflecting best practiceand critical thinking. The purpose of this paper is to outline a proposal that will aim at improving these two aspects of professional nursing practice. Introduction On a biweekly basis, interprofessional team rounds are held on each unit to update the plan of care and to discuss ways to optimize a resident s cognitive, physical, and psychosocial abilities. As the individual who has the most interaction with the resident, nurses play a key role in communicating to the team, the resident s overall health status. The template in Appendix A outlines the areas of best practice that nurses are expected to be knowledgeable about with regards to their residents. This template follows the Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation or SBAR format, incorporates corporate best practices, and the care plan indicators from the Minimum Data Set assessment tool. While I don t think there are a lot of people who suffer from clown phobia, there are many people who just don t like them. Clowns have been around for ages and appear in most cultures in varying forms. From court jesters and mimes to rodeo and circus clowns their primary purpose was to make people laugh. To provide comic relief. Somewhere along the line clowns became dark. Facebook even has an I Hate Clowns page with some 400,000 followers! Is it because clowns always possessed a certain sadness. Were they always just mirroring humanity with all our imperfections or was it something else? I m not sure, but clownphobia did not seem so prevalent prior to the IT movie in 1990. IT was based on Stephen Kings 1986 novel of the same title and both the book and movie instilled a fear into what seems like an entire generation of kids. In the novel, Stephen King s IT was about a demon who feeds on fear. IT was banished to earth and wakes every 27 to 30 years to terrorize kids and feast upon their flesh, which tastes better to him when they are afraid. He can take any form but uses the clown because children are more easily frightened than adults. In the novel the clown is evil, alien, and other worldly. • 12. Animals And Its Effects On A Terrestrial Environment One of the following challenges that various animals adapted to from a water dominant environment to a terrestrial environment is that they protected themselves from drying out. In order to carry this adaptation out and avoid desiccation (a process where organisms lose water to the air), plants developed the adaptation of cuticle; a waxy and protective surface layer that is secreted around the exposed surfaces of a plant. This surface is relatively impermeable which essentially helps avoid water loss from taking place in the plant. Additionally, it prevents them from acquiring different types of bacteria and viruses. Another structure that was adapted to prevent water loss was the stomata, which allows water to diffuse out of the plant when it closes. This adaptation is essential because plants need water to go through photosynthesisin order to produce energy. Animals additionally faced the same challenge as well when evolving onto a terrestrial environment. In order to avoid water loss, amphibians usually stayed within moist surroundings since they needed their skin to be wet, so that oxygencan pass through their skin and help them breathe. They didn t possess any adaptations capable of letting them survive in a dry land environment due to the reliance of their moist skin needed to perform vital life functions. However, reptiles evolved overcame this challenge with the dry, watertight skin they developed. This adaptation significantly reduced the amount of water ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gaines uses symbolism to represent key points in the novel like Jefferson s death, the community s willingness to contribute and the respect that characters have for one another. Grant is asked from the start to make Jefferson into a man before his death, he can t think of why he was asked to do this and not somebody else, or how he should even go about completing the task. Another example is when Grant is at the bar and overhears two men talking badly of Jefferson, he raises to defend his new friend, getting hurt in the process, but, Grant knows he stood up for what he believed was right. Then the tall one said something, and the fat one snickered, and I thought I had heard enough. I went up to their table. Shut up. (Gaines, 199) Even though Grant does not think he makes a difference, the author still proves that Grant is a hero by showing he will stand up for what he thinks is right and is learning new values along the way. Jefferson is displayed, by the author, as the underdog, except in this case almost no one is rooting for him to win. Jefferson had barely talked in the beginning, leaving those who visited him frustrated and unwilling to return. This showed a lot about his character as he was so greatly ashamed of the accusation made against him that he couldn t bare to talk to anyone, not wanting to let them down further with the words he could say. Ain t you go n speak to me, Jefferson? He remained quiet. [...] You want to just talk to me? [...] He didn t answer her. (Gaines 72) Jefferson later pulls through, and finds a calm in himself, he has full conversations and finds new respect for others and a new friend, before his time ends. However, the majority of anatomical knowledge at this time was based on Greek and Medieval Italian dissection of animals (Ghosh). Comparing animal bodies to the human bodyprovided its inconsistencies, and anatomists like Andreas Vesalius pointed them out and disproved what was considered factual. His studies inspired scientists years to come to venture into anatomy and dissection as well. To study the inner anatomy of the human body, scientists needed cadavers, or dead bodies, to dissect. At this time, there was very limited access to cadavers, which led to body snatching, also known as grave robbing, becoming extremely common. Surgeons and anatomists would go ... • 27. Disney World I really enjoy spending a day at the beach. Nothing compares to diving into the warm, foamy, aqua waters of the ocean. I love to boogie board when the surf is full of action. The waves push and pull you like a magnet. The strength of the water propels you forward like an arrow shot from a bow. In the end, you find yourself washed up on the sand like seaweed. Then, you get up, carry your board back into the water, and ride the waves to feel the thrill again. The first time I ever experienced the ocean was on a trip to Florida in 2009. It was during the New Jersey Teacher s Convention in November. My mom, dad, and I decided to go to Disney World in Orlando. My aunt and uncle have a timeshare there, so we used that for our stay. • 28. Cyrano De Bergerac Qualities Justifying The Qualities of Characters in Cyrano de Bergerac In the story of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, there are people who solely focus on the aesthetics of others instead of the personality or quality of the individual. Though it seems completely innocent, they can only hurt themselves, and the people close to them. Cyrano de Bergerac presents the theme of love as an umbrella to the motifs of precieuse, and platonic love, Rostand conveys the message that judging people on external beauty, and making reality bend to one s desires can lead to self harm, and heartbreak. When a person is a precieuse, they alter reality, and facts to their liking, however this can only achieve sorrow, and despair upon oneself. In Act two of Cyrano ... That skill, that courage got the girl. You re half way there. Now dare to speak. Cyrano responds So she can laugh at this? Why, man, there s nothing that I fear more in this world... (31). These quotes not only show that Cyrano is very self conscious of his nose, but he does not even attempt speak, meet with, or make contact with Roxane, unless asked to. This decision by Cyrano might be one of the most fatal decision in his life because he did not tell Roxane how he felt about her before she claimed that she had fallen in love with Christian. As well as being a precieuse, Roxane is also said to use platonic love. This is true because when Roxane was talking about Christian, and states, ...I love him. All that remains for me to say is that I ve only seen him at the theatre , after she has mentioned such a man intelligent, young, brave, beautiful (46), she concludes qualities about Christian that can only be decided with the eyes. There is also a hollow along the Hudson River which is right up close to the town. In this short story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Irving captures the setting well through description, how it affects the characters, and the way it fits with gothic attributes of this time. In the first couple paragraphs it shows how much Irving wants us to get the creepy and scared feeling. Not far from this village, perhaps about two miles, there is a little valley or rather lap of land among high hills, which is one of the quietest places in the world (1). This is saying that even around the village it is quiet and still. There is emptiness surrounding the village, lurking and waiting for somebody to pass by. They write about genital play in children and that sexual curiosity can develop as early as one year. I agree that children have a natural curiosity about body parts, what they do, and how they feel. I think it is appropriate for children to learn the correct body part terminology and have self exploration. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before me, yet to be explored. With today s amazing advances in medicine, scurvy is not generally a disease that most people in America or other civilized countries need to worry about. While it is rare, scurvy does occur and it is incredibly treatable. The symptoms are reversible and treatment is easy with the right amount of vitamin Cadded to the diet to offset what has been missing. Scurvy is a disease that has been around since ancient times. Originally, there were many different ideas about what caused scurvy. Genetics, toxins, the environment, and infections were among many of the explanations for scurvy. Of all the people afflicted with scurvy, the most numerous were sailors. Surgeons and doctors out at sea with the sailors were among the first to be able to describe the disease in clinical detail and find a treatment that was effective in clearing up scurvy. Sir James Lind, a surgeon for the British Navy, has been credited with finding an easy way to treat scurvy; with lemons and oranges. While scurvy was extremely common while out at sea, cases still came about on land as well. The people most effected by scurvy on land were civil war soldiers, gold rushers in California, and Irish and English populations during the Great Potato Famine. • 35. Linguistic Factors Of Diglossia The contact between languages is one of the various fields investigated by socio linguistics. Commonly it is thought that monolingualism is the most usual linguistic behaviour but language studies disprove this belief showing that all speech communities and individuals hold a rich linguistic repertoire which may include two or more distinct languages, different varieties of the same languageand a wide range of registers, styles, social codes etc. The concept of linguistic repertoire is not to be intended as a mere sum of linguistic codes since it also concerns the way such codes interact with one another, their hierarchy and the rules running their use. In order to clear up the logic underlying the relations emerging from the steady contact among languages sociolinguistics introduced concepts such as diglossia code switching, bilingualism, dilalia etc. In the following essay the focus will essentially be on the difference between the concepts of diglossia and code switching alongside with the description of some examples supported by an attempt to identify the non linguistic factors which affect speakers linguistic choices. Fasting is one method of keeping your internal environment clean. It is a form of body cleansing and detoxification that s gaining global acceptance. But the practice is not entirely new. Indeed, for centuries ancient cultures had recognized and employed fasting as an effective and inexpensive method of cleansing the internal organs and rejuvenating the body. A detox program that includes fasting will hasten that cleansing process. Our modern diet is loaded with substances that clog the colon. This results in the accumulation of toxins in the colon which are gradually transferred to fat deposits in the body. Every body detox program should therefore start with cleansing the colon. Bennett s detoxification program for example, involves fasting on liquids for some days, say 2 3 days. This should be followed by a carefully chosen 5 day detox diet. This approach will give the digestive system ample time to rest and clean itself up. Short Story The Chair On Top Of The World In the two short stories The chair on top of the world by Stuart Baum and All summer in a day by Ray Bradbury, I will be comparing Tomas, the main character from The chair on top of the world and Margot, the main character from All summer in a day . I will be comparing what Tomas s personality to Margot s personality. In The chair on top of the world , Tomas, the main character attempts to find the chair that is on top of the world. In his journey, he meets a unicorn and 2 dragons that assist him on his quest to find the chair on top of the world. In the end, Tomas figures out that since the world is a sphere, Wherever he stands, he will most likely be on top of the world. All summer in a day , in this short story, Margot, a 4 year old girl moves from Earthto Venus. 5 years later, she has grown tired of this planet s heavy rain and wants to sunto rise. A few days later, she hears that scientists predict the sun will be finally coming out again. Margot becomes extremely excited. But the problem is that before the teacher gets to class, William the bully and his gang lock Margot in a closet and they go off to play in the sun. Then after 1 hour, the rain starts again. So the children gloomily unlocked the closet and let Margot out. That was those 2 stories. In my opinion, I like Tomas s personality more than Margot s because Tomas is braver than Margot, the role he plays is better than Margot, and Tomas gets along better with other characters than Margot does. One reason why I like Tomas s personality is that he persevered until the very end. It s not up here, said the tiny dragon. Do you know where it is? asked Tomas. The dragon shook its head. Nope, sorry. (6 Baum)The quote helps back up my statement because This was one of the challenges Tomas faced when he wanted to find the chair on top of the world. So Tomas went up to first the first mountain and the dragon told him that the mountain wasn t on the top of the world. So this means that Tomas didn t give up on sitting on the top of the world.
