In the marketplace business fundamentals simulation, I was asked to create a company that sells
computers with specified components in which a certain target market requested. I created a company
named MEGA Intel Computers and my target market was the Workhorse and Mercedes segments.
During the first quarter, I was required to decide on corporate responsibilities, review market research,
design two brands (MEGA One and MEGA Two), establish corporate and strategic goals, and open a
sales office, as well as build a plant for manufacturing. During this quarter I focused on keeping
expenses minimal but resourceful since manufacturing was just beginning. In the second quarter of the

Work cell production method Work cell methods have proven to be an effective method of production,
where it reduces material, improves employee movement, makes inspections easier, and it enhances
communication. It will allow MEGA Intel to limit the number of employees working at a given time,
saving on overtime costs. All employees will be properly trained to assist each other while in the
assigned work cell, and training over better material usage and maintenance will be provided. By
integrating a work cell production method, MEGA Intel computers can easily control manufacturing
processes and employee efficiency; however, bottleneck operations can easily constrain the workflow.
To keep bottlenecking from being a major problem, MEGA Intel employees will be cross trained and
multitasking machines will be readily available to correct problems and correct the production
process.
Quality assurance goals Business goals must be a priority and main focus when strategizing on quality
assurance. The final product must be a complete representation of MEGA Intel s product designs,
which includes customer needs and wants. To be certain, a quality control process must be in effect.
For example, MEGA Intel s business goal may be to increase productivity or efficiency in various
ways without compromising costs or incurring excessive, unnecessary expenses. The quality

3. Tony Montana Quotes
B. Scarface
Tony Montana is a very vulgar person, able to drop any manner of language that can offend a person.
Arrogant, violent and very frank, assuring to Sosa that the only thing he has in this world is his word
and his balls . Tony is the survivor that has no qualms on killing other people if it can guarantee
money and food. His ruthlessness will eventually land him a position in Frank Lopez s drug cartel and
will steadily make a name in the Miami underworld. He also developed a liking to Frank s mistress,
Elvira. With his excessive push to expand, he eventually gunned down Frank and took Elvira, and
started building his own empire. Living in a lavish lifestyle, he would eventually develop paranoia and

She is addicted to coke and would happily tag along with anybody with the money to support her
needs. She was Frank s mistress only for the drugs, and the same for Tony. She is a very snob
character, and seems to embody the ice queen trope, though defrosting her will not do anything, she is
just cold to strangers. It is not known if she has any inner desire to make peace with her habits, as she
evidently sad at the life she is leading.
C. Comparison
The film has a notable distinction in its characters. The Godfather has the honor of having a more
refined set of characters in regards of execution and the distribution of traits, in comparison. Scarface
has characters that are spread thin, with the few having the most concentration of traits. Tony, Manny,
Gina, Elvira and Sosa are the only notable characters that have concentrated traits.
Michael and Tony s personalities are polar opposites. Michael is a law abiding citizen, aspiring to live
a normal life with his girlfriend, Kay. He was only dragged into family affairs after the attempted hit
on his father, Vito. He still strives to be normal even when he is now a criminal yet the sequels suggest
he failed. Tony is readily a criminal, since his background is easily identified. He was keen on living
the American Dream in any way possible. He dealt with drugs, killed people and started to use his
own products. A wise criminal once said that it was bad to use and get

6. Similarities Between Orangutans And The Great Apes
Within the world of primates, the family Hominidae includes the primates known as the great apes.
These primates, are then broken down into two subfamilies. One subfamily contains the primates
chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas and humans, while the other subfamily, Ponginae, only contains the
species Pongo, commonly known as the orangutan. Orangutans, although closely related to the other
great apes, represent a lot of extremes in biological parameters (Campbell, C. J., 2011). One of the
most drastic extremes is that orangutans are the largest primary arboreal mammal in the world. This is
a result of special evolutionary adaptations that allow these primates to mechanically function in an
arboreal lifestyle. Unlike the other great apes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This book included a large section of information on orangutans with observations about basic traits as
well as mechanical and social behaviors. It is interesting to note that the section also notes the various
methods these orangutans were being hunted, killed or used by its enemies. It concludes describing an
old misconception of how an orangutan s great strength and ferocity render them dangerous. We now
know that these animals are actually very rarely aggressive, but rather solitary social creatures. The
common theme of primates being dangerous and monsters can be across various historical writings.
Orangutans, endemic now only in the southeast rainforests of Asia, were once found throughout Asia
(Campbell, C. J., 2011). Since 2001, there have only been two species of orangutan identified, the
Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abeli) and the Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) (Nater, A., et al.
2017). However, recent research, to be published later this month, has identified a new third species of
orangutan, Pongo tapanuliensis. This species of orangutans, found south of Lake Toba, was once
grouped with the Sumatran Orangutans, however, recent genetic testing has identified them as a
completely different species from those orangutans found north of Lake Toba. Orangutans all face
major issues in terms of numbers with all species marked as either endangered or critically endangered
due to hunting pressure and habitat destruction. The palm oil industry has greatly

it the everyday at the same time or else they are rendered useless.
Like the combination pills, there is another type of progestin only birth control. The progestin only

The triple bottom line outcome focuses on the concept where firms are environmentally conscious and
socially responsible by achieving a balance between profits, avoiding damage to the environment, and
achieving social benefits (Douglas, 2012). Traditionally, firms focused on profit maximization to
achieve profits to pay out dividends and capital gains so shareholders can buy things. In a recent

If customers refuse to buy products from organization that do not value the environment,
organizations will change to customer s needs. Along with not buying products, customers should not
invest with companies who do not value the environment and communities. Economists incorporate
the triple bottom line into their models of business decision making by assuming that many
individuals will buy shares in companies that achieve the triple bottom line outcomes they want and
will sell shares in companies that do not (Douglas, 2012. Pg. 7).

14. Persuasive Speech On Snowboarding
Snowboarding is a sport where you can just let yourself go and be with nature up on the snow topped
mountains. Banning snow is a crazy act but in 1992 on March 30 Syracuse, New York outlawed any
more snowfall until December 24, 1992. Snowboarding brings many people together and is a really
great way to take advantage of the snow. Even though snowboarding has not been around very long it
has sparked a lot of debates and thrill for many people and come along way.
Snowboarding has an amazing background and explanation of how it came to be. It all started with the
people who surfed and skateboarded. They wanted something similar to do in the winter. Sherman
Poppen was the creator of the snurfer (an early snowboard) in 1965. Sherman was one of the
skateboarders who wanted to surf but lived in Michigan. One day he nailed two skis together and
attached a rope with a handle to the front thus creating the snurfer. Sherman then called his friends,
who were engineers for the Brunswick Corporation and asked them to make some of the snurfers. The
Brunswick Corporation made skis, bowling balls, bowling alleys, and bowling pins. The snurfer took
the world by storm, but people wanted a safe way to ride. Eventually Jake Burton Carpenter started
making a new model called the ski board and this was the first company for snowboards. Jake Burton
was a Stockbroker who fell in love with snowboarding and decided to take the risk and start making
them. He became the founder of the

16. Persuasive Essay Why An Abortion Is Wrong
Why an Abortion is Wrong How would you feel, if I told you that your mother wanted to have an
abortion when you were a fetus just because she didn t want to raise you, didn t have the time for you,
or the money. Or didn t want the responsibility that came with having a child. What if I told you that
half of the women that get pregnant in the U.S. today have abortions, and their main reason is most
likely because it might interfere with their work, education, or relationships. Which is selfish. If you
think about it, they think that the the baby inside them means nothing. They don t deserve to live a
happy life or a life at all. Also they think it s their body, but it s not, it s the baby s body too. This
controversial topic has been an a highly debated argument for many years, whether it s ethical to kill
your unborn child or or not! Also the fact that the rate is growing tremendously. Abortions first started
in the 1820s. At that time, women knew that they were and are killing their fetus or embryo. Some
women are not ready to become parents to take the responsibility. Personally, I think that having an
abortion is morally wrong because you are killing an unborn fetus or embryo, while it is barely
starting to develop. First of all, abortions have been becoming a conflicting issue during the past
several years. The first reason why you shouldn t have an abortion is because you cannot deprive
someone of life and of civil rights. Just because they don t have a say of

Around the year 753 B.C.E the city of Rome was discovered along the shores of the Tiber River by the
mythical characters Romulus and Remus. Throughout the estimated 12 centuries of existence, Roman
civilisation shifted from a monarch to a classical republic and then to an increasingly autocratic
empire. During this time emperor Octavian or otherwise known as Augustus, ruled from the year 44
B.C.E until 14 A.D. Octavian s power was considered unassailable and during 27 B.C.E the Roman
Senate formally granted him overarching power and the new title Augustus , effectively marking the
end of the Roman Republic.

The Triumvirate was eventually torn apart under the competing ambitions of its members: Ledipus

at the Battle of Actium by Octavian in 31 B.C.E. (Adkins and Adkins, 2004; Butler, 2007 Cavendish,

Republic, with governmental power vested in the Roman Senate, the executive magistrates, and the
legislative assemblies (Cavendish, 2011). In reality, however, he retained his autocratic power over the
Republic as a military dictator. By law, Augustus held a collection of powers granted to him for life by
the Senate, including supreme military command, and those of tribune and censor (Adkins and
Adkins, 2004; Butler, 2007; Cavendish, 2011). It took several years for Augustus to develop the
framework within which a formally republican state could be led under by his sole rule. He rejected
monarchical titles, and instead called himself Princeps Civitatis ( First Citizen of the State ). The
resulting constitutional framework became known as the Principate, the first phase of the Roman

Wolsey was Henry VIII s chief minister for 15 years and it s fair to say that historians have, in general,
been disappointed with his lack of achievement in the area of domestic affairs. Most argue that he
devoted far too much of his time to foreign policy in order to establish, and then further boost his own
personal power and increase his income, implying that more of his time should have been allocated to
reforming social and economic policy and using his vast intelligence to improve the way government
operated in England at the time. However there was very little contemporary discontent with the way
the country was being run in the first place. So ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He seemed genuinely interested to see justice prevailing throughout the land by not only through the
afore mentioned equality based proceedings but through advancing civil law over common law, which
was undoubtedly a move towards a more just judicial system. He took pleasure in overturning verdicts
made by common law, when they went against what he thought was natural justice. However, it must
not be omitted that Wolsey was much less determined in the pursuit of justice than he was in the
pursuit of his own personal gain; it is clear he was manipulative and exploitative in using the system
to further his own interests. An often used example to case this point is his revenge on Sir Amyus
Paulet. After having been humiliated by Paulet upon entering his first benefice Wolsey kept the event
stored in the back of his incredible mind for more than a decade. He exacted his revenge upon being
granted the position of Lord Chancellor by summoning Paulet to appear before him at the Star
Chamber. Spitefully, he kept him in daily attendance for more than five years under the threats of the
consequences of contempt of court if he were to not turn up. Wolsey used this as a public reminder of
what would happen to those who crossed him. There is also no doubt that more resentment was caused
by Wolsey s action in the Star Chamber, especially

20. Reflection About Freedom
there is incredible inequality and very sexist norms and people in the world today, I know my freedom
is not granted through or better yet not based on the government, laws passed, or even how males or
others treat me; my freedom is guaranteed through the blood of the Lamb. God has opened my eyes to
see the powerful messages in the Bible that have proven as a woman I do not have to walk in fear or in
chains. I am a daughter of the one true King, and he is the only one who can grant me this freedom
that we, women, are all searching for. God has really encouraged and challenged me with his words,
and I pray that if you feel God tugging at your heart, you would take the time to read this and look
past any of my imperfections in this (because all though I try not to be, I am a biased, imperfect
human with little experience in this) and hear the words that God wants you to hear.
I was calling a friend a couple weeks ago, and although I tried to situate my thoughts and emotions
about a particular experience, it was a hot mess. Call it what you want an avalanche of words, word
vomit, or the dam breaking whatever it was the, I understand what you are saying, from the other end
of the line was only a false reassurance to shut up my nonsense or keep me from going totally

21. John Donne s quot;the Flea quot;, a Critical Analysis Essay
Since the beginning of time, one of the most captivating and yet elusive of all emotions has been love.
Back in the 17th century most male poets wrote about woman s beauty, while others romanticized
lustful inclinations in poetry. The clich #233; love at first sight, is too often idealized to be the epitome
of true love ; most poets will uphold to the prior statement such as John Donne and Andrew Marvell.
In John Donne s The Flea Donne expresses his love for a woman without having touched her. On the
other hand, Andrew Marvell in To My Coy Mistress, glorifies and adores the woman s beauty;
however there is a sense of urgency in his words and an underlying sexual current as well.
Nonetheless, both poets attempt to persuade their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donne cleverly asserts that no sin, nor shame was lost and her virginity and purity is still intact, nor
loss of maidenhead. And because of this, she should cherish the flea, which is the symbol of their
relationship. On the other hand, an insect does not make decisions as humans do and acts according to
its instincts; making its actions random. Wherein could this flea guilty be, / except in that drop it
sucked from thee? The random act of the flea sucking both Donne and his sweethearts blood happened
by coincidence. That coincidence Donne claims is the best way to share their love for each other when
he says, Just so much honor, when thou yield st to me, / Will waste, as this flea s death took life from
thee (lines 26 27). If the woman slept with Donne, then she would be dishonored, and he does not
want her wasted away. Whereas, if she kills the flea then the union of their lives their relationship will
die as well. Though Donne attempts to convince the woman of his love via the flea, Marvell s method
is more direct and less particular.
Marvell s method of persuading the woman is overly eager and immodest to the point of animalistic
copulation. He is solely attracted to her beauty, yet her modesty is a barrier for him to win her over
with time being his main enemy. That long preserved virginity, / And your quaint honor turn to dust/

22. Olaudah Quotes
The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah
At last when the ship we were in, had got in all her cargo, they made ready with many fearful noises,
and we were all put under deck, so that we could not see how they managed the vessel. However, this
disappointment was the least of my sorrow. The stench of the hold while we were on the coast was so
intolerably loathsome, that it was dangerous to remain there for any time, and some of us had been
permitted to stay on the deck for the fresh air; but now that the whole ship s cargo were confined
together, it became absolutely pestilential. (Olaudah Equiano) Equiano is preparing to bring you into
his life during slavery. Equiano expressed one of many hard times that he had to face during his slave
voyage throughout that quote. I chose that strong quote so that it would shine knowledge on those who
are unsure of what was to come about the life of Equiano. This piece of literature stood out the most to
me because it gave me a different view of slavery. This story allowed me to try and picture myself
going through what Equiano had to face. It was hard trying to prepare myself because no one wants to
imagine themselves going through the pain, neglect, beating, hunger, and etc. like the way he did. It
made me realize this was told from a child s point of view and that he showed different emotions from
what I would have presented to others. This piece is relevant because this is someone s personal life

23. Non Farming Regulations
I have always lived on or around farms or some sort of agriculture. My family s heritage is made up of
small town American farmers who emigrated from Germany in the early to mid 1800s to start a new
life. The farm of my fourth great grandparents is still being used today and it still plays an important
role in our agriculturally strong society. Certain regulations can hurt farmers all over the country,
enacting crippling problems and expenses on farms. Over the past three summers I have worked on
farms near my hometown. I have seen first hand how rules and regulations can affect a farm and the
production of products that farmers use to make a living. Some of the time, farmers have it rough. I

Case 2: Mountain Man Brewing Company Prepared for: Marketing 181 Date: February 9, 2011
Question 1: There are many factors that have enabled MMBC to create a strong brand. These include:
taste, perceived quality, image, tradition, and authenticity. Taste is achieved through a selection of rare
Bavarian hops and unusual strains of barley creating a defined Mountain Man quality. In addition,
Mountain Man Lagers distinctively bitter flavor and higher alcohol content sets this beer apart from its
competitors, which uniquely contributes to the company s brand equity. To complement the richer
stronger taste, a dark colored bottle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our first reason for not introducing the light beer is because it goes against the company culture.
Many members of upper management do not support Chris s decision to launch a light beer, creating
disjointed opinions and feelings that will reduce output or the willingness to create a shared goal. For
instance, John Fader, the Vice President of sales feels that the light beer will take away time,
resources, and attention from their Lager. In order to produce a new product, the whole company must
think in a like minded manner. Chris s decision is based on optimistic assumptions instead of facts. If
he implements his decision MMBC may alienate its most loyal customers, which would destroy its
53% brand loyalty. Brand equity is increasingly important so destroying it would make MMBC less
competitive. Also, MMBC s authenticity comes from its Lager product. Therefore by altering the
product to appeal to a more general audience it would diminish the created authenticity. It is apparent
from Exhibit 6B, consumers prefer mainstream light beer brands such as Bud Light, Miller Light,
Coors Light. Thus, MMBC (as a non mainstream brand) would have difficulty penetrating this market.

African Americans first arrived to the United States as a crew on a pirate ship in the year 1619
(Bennett, 1992 as cited in Edelman Mandle, 2002). The American population saw these new
immigrants as an opportunity and captured many of the six million African immigrants and sold them
as slaves (Bennett, 1992 as cited in Edelman Mandle, 2002). The African American community
suffered through a history of slavery and discrimination which has led to their current health and

Alcohol is also problematic for the African American population. Alcohol is one of the most
significant problems among African Americans and leads to more violence, abuse, isolation and social
consequences among black women when compared to white women (Donatelle, 2003). African
Americans tend to have more of an alcohol problem as a population whole compared to whites but
tend to consume less alcohol overall (Donatelle, 2004). Excessive, long term alcohol intake can lead
to enhanced risk of developing cancer, a damaged central nervous system and harmful effects to the
cardiovascular system (Donatelle, 2004). Since African Americans are already at more risk for
developing cancer and cardiovascular disease, alcohol would enhance the risk of developing these
disease and thus would reduce their overall health. Another health issue that African Americans
struggle with is diabetes. Diabetes is a disease that involves the body producing high levels of blood
glucose levels (Powers, Dodd Noland, 2006). There are two types of diabetes; type 1 and type 2. Type
1 is known as the juvenile onset diabetes and caused by a lack of insulin production and secretion
while type 2 is characterized by deficiency of insulin production, decreased production of insulin and
increased insulin production and can usually be controlled by diet and exercise (Smeltzer Bare, 2003).
African Americans are twice as likely to
29. The Pros And Cons Of Counterfeit Medications
Counterfeit medications are unsafe and a treat to people around the world. The use of the medications
can cause harm to both the body and society. It is important that the consumers are educated about
counterfeit mediations. Most people who purchase counterfeit medication may not understand that
laws are being broken. Drugs are unlawfully and consciously being made to resemble the FDA (Food
and Drug Administration) approved drug. Sellers are infringing on the companies Intellectual Property
(IP), as medications are protected in law by copyright, patents, and trademarks. Copyrights are
protecting the pharmaceutical copay ownership of the product, whereas the counterfeit drug suppliers
are claiming the medication as the original. Fake medications are being stamped with the same logo
Drug patents last 20 years and once the patent expires the owner has the authority to decide how
others can use the product. The counterfeit drug supplies do not have the right to copy the makeup and
design of the legitimate drug. There are many fake drugs that are slightly identical to the original.
Visually the consumer may not be able to tell the difference, the drugs are the same color, shape, and
include the unique logo of the pharmaceutical company. Due to the misappropriation consumers are
lead to believe they are receiving the same product.

30. Benjamin Franklin s Virtues To Create A Perfect Moral Society
One of Benjamin Franklin s goals in life was to create a perfectly moral society. Is there even such a
thing as a perfectly moral society? How would one go about forming this unheard of thing? Franklin
observed people and used his own knowledge to form his list of thirteen virtues, behaviors that
conduct high moral standards. Could these virtues create a perfect society? In order for Franklin s plan
to work, every person must follow all thirteen of these virtues. A benefit comes from each thing
Franklin listed. One of these benefits is creating good citizens. A good citizen is someone who
respects their town, government, and fellow peers. Temperance and moderation are good qualities to
have because that means everyone can control themselves. Silence also comes in handy because it can
keep people from getting offended or hurt by another person s words. Order keeps everything running
smoothly, even in time of disaster. Tranquility can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chasity is one of the few I would choose to remove. While it does show self control, I do not believe
that determines if you are a good citizen. I also believe moderation could be removed because it is
closely related with temperance. Silence is another thing that can be good at certain times, but can also
be bad at other times. Sometimes people need to speak their opinions; otherwise, nothing would ever
be changed. Everything would stay exactly the same and I don t think they would be good for society.
Cleanliness is also another virtue that does not relate to being a good citizen. While it does have
something to do with your character and appearance, it does not affect your morals and ability to be a
good citizen. These are the only revisions I would make to Franklin s plan. I see no need for anything
else to be removed or added. He covered the basics, but in some sense he went a little overboard.
Although these are good qualities to have, do they make you a good human

According to Mark Early, president of the Prison Fellowship International, the Bureau of Justice
Statistics report shows that there are 19 states that have prisons operating at 100 percent capacity and
another 20 are falling right behind them. There is no wonder why the overcrowding of prisons is being
discussed everywhere. Not to mention how serious this predicament is and how serious it can get.
Many of the United States citizens don t understand why this is such a serious matter due to the fact
that some of them believe it s not their problem. Therefore they just don t care about it. Also, some
Americans may say that they don t care about what could happen to the inmates due to repercussions

That was two years ago and the prison population have continued to grow since then, so can you
imagine what it is now? Now, think of what the prisoners have to go through. Andrea Caumont shared
some of the problems prisoners are having, because of prison overcrowding. She says that in
California the United States Supreme Court told the state to reduce its prison population, because
overcrowded conditions are amounting to cruel and unusual punishment. Can you imagine what must
be happening for the Supreme Court to rule it as cruel and unusual punishment? Not only are they
being punished cruelly, the prisoners are also losing their opportunities to participate in the prisons
self improvement programs and the vocational training, because there is less of everything to go
around. Therefore all resources, even food, are being stretched to the max. (John Howard goes into
more detail on this issue in his paper The Effects of Prison Overcrowding on the P.A.T.R.I.C.K
Crusade website.) The prisoners are not the only ones being affected by this problem, this problem is
affecting everyone.

juveniles, minor misdemeanants and felons all together with no separation. The King Edwards Public

Mississippi star controversial. In the very beginning before Elvis, the music that was heard around the
world was a lot of swing and jazz music that the Greats played. By Greats I mean well known artists
like Rosemary Clooney, Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and so many others. While this music
was amazing in the 1940 s, a young man named Elvis Presley thought that the world should be

it was shown that critics heavily disliked him and actually compared his concerts with screaming girls
and adoring teens, to Hitler mass meetings which screams insanity. There were even magazines that
were not on team Elvis Presley and they strongly showed it. For example a magazine called Look
