Teaching people about music and how to make music feels fantastic. Directing a
band is more work than it seems. As a band director you are a teacher, an
orchestrator, a fundraiser, and most importantly, a role model. Many students in
band look up to their directors because they spend so much time with them having
fun occasionally. I personally, looked up to my band directors a great deal because
they offered me guidance and friendship in exchange for my hard work and
dedication to our organization.

high school (BTHSE). He shared with me that he was inspired by Mark Tessereau

Santa Ana Zoo Field Trip
The self guided field trip that I conducted was to the Santa Ana Zoo. I went to the
Santa Ana Zoo on April 7th, 2017. What I learned while being at the zoo was how
animals interacted with each other and their environment. A couple of the animals
were able to live in the same environment because they don t eat or harm one
another. An observation I made was that they grouped different animals in a huge
cage like lemurs, a couple of birds, and a porcupine in which they lived very
peacefully minding their own business. I also learned about different species like

Jim Costello was born in Rochester, New York, and when he was a young boy his
