Time As A DHS Student Of American History
I think that as my time as a DHS student that American History has been one of the most
interesting classes that I have taken a part in. I enjoyed learning about how we formed as a

Rather than staying in the safety of the North, Tubman made it her mission to rescue other slaves
from bondage. However, in 1850, the Fugitive Slave Law was passed that stated that escaped
slaves could be captured in the North and be returned to slavery. This made Tubman re routed the

along with some volunteers, forged travel documents, arranged foster parents for the children, and
paid out of pocket for the transportation. The children boarded trains from Prague, Czechoslovakia

To understand how people feel about themselves, researchers have investigated body image, body
satisfaction and self esteem. In the scientific literature, adolescents body image has received
enormous attention, but research has focused predominantly on girls and body dissatisfaction,
rather than positive body image. Low body satisfaction has been associated with the development
of mental health conditions, both eating related and global, hence focus on body dissatisfaction is
warranted. Studies have shown a low body satisfaction is associated with mild eating concerns,

Since the 1990 s and the rise of globalization in the 1970 s, neoliberal economic change have
transformed transnational markets and contributed to many social implications. This paper will
explore the impacts as well as the factors that contributed and shaped the global economic changes
in the post Cold War era. This paper will also explore globalization and neoliberal economic shift
through India, China, Russia, and Morocco s economies. This paper argues Thomas Friedman s
view that while economic shifts are decisions made by individual economies, at the same time were
inevitable, as to compete in the global market it is necessary to partake in neoliberal economies.
This paper also discusses the idea that globalization is merely an extension of colonialism and
imperialism and that impact on developing nations and economies through their interactions with
the Washington Consensus. The factors that contributed to economic change were extremely
intertwined with the Washington Consensus and globalization. The end of the Cold War
contributed to the multipolarity of how the states now interact. By opening up free markets, states
were then able to shift they economies and become more global where as before they were limited
to communism and capitalism. The neoliberal ideological shift from created the multipolarity of the
world today by the creation free markets. The Washington Consensus was a policy implemented
which contributed to market fundamentalism as we know it today. The

Wayne Gretzky Peewee Hockey
Wayne Douglas Gretzky was born January 26, 1961 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. He began
skating at just two years old and was playing with older boys by six years old. Spending extreme
amounts of hours on the ice, he was skilled enough to score 378 goals in his final year of peewee
hockey. When he was a teenager, he was chosen third in the 1977 Ontario Major Junior Hockey
League Midget draft, and played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds where he was able to show
