2. Essay On Keynes Vs Hayek
Keynes vs Hayek The Commanding heights video takes us to the economic disaster that arose in
the aftermath of World War One. Following World War One two young economists emerged that
hoped to solve the world s economic troubles, John Meynard Keynes and Friederich Hayek. Each
having a completely different philosophy in the role of government in the economy. Keynes
theorized that heavy government influence was essential in the economy, and many of his
principals were implemented in Franklin Roosevelt s New Deal policy which helped pull America
out of the Great Depression. On the other hand Hayek insisted that the lesser of a role government
played in economicsthe better. He argued that socialist states cannot be successful because they
lack a functioning price system to send the signals to consumers and producers, thus inducing a
chaos. Keynes was a British economist who is credited for being the father of macroeconomics. The
foundation of Keynes theory relies on government playing a strong and fundamental role in the
economy. To be put simply Keynes theory is that the government can borrow money to spend on
such things like public works. By doing so the government would create jobs... Show more content

Hayek was also a British economist, however he theorized that free market was the best
alternative, and believed government should play little to no role in economic policy. Hayek
believed that the idea of central planning left no room for economic calculation. Hayek believed
that the government did not possess the ability to make rational decisions, wither to put a resource
here, or buy a good there, because there was no price system to weigh the alternatives. In summary
Hayek believed that government could make technical decisions, but not economic decisions. Less
government intervention meant for more economic freedom. In his theory when people were
allowed the freedom to choose, the economy would run more

Taboo Language Utaboopia is a recently discovered planet with many humans inhabiting the place.
Just like any other humans, Utaboopians have their language for communication purposes. It was
necessary to learn the Utaboopia language and how to communicate with them. However, the
Utaboopians do not have any taboo language in their culture. For the humans living on planet earth,
they have some limitations structured by a particular culture on words that are publicly
considered vile in what is known as taboo language or taboo words. Therefore, since there is no

words like holy shit, what the hell, and sexual language. Taboo words are many ranging to
referents such as disgusting objects, animal names, racial insults and psychological digressions
such as wimp, retard and psycho. There is a limited semantic range of taboo words, therefore,
the need to classify taboo words into sexual, religious or scatological taboos. The taboo language
would range from somewhat offensive words to exceedingly ugly taboo words. Use of taboo
language could produce either positive or negative consequences depending on the context
(Ladkin, 17). For instance, a speaker could use taboo language to arouse humor amongst his or
her audience to help ease a rather tense situation or conversation. How offensive or appropriate a
word or words are largely based on the setting or circumstance that they are used. For example,
the way a teenager will name a sexual organ in the presence of fellow teenagers is different from
the way the teenager will refer to the sex organ to their parents or teachers. Therefore, the
offensiveness of taboo words is defined by the pragmatic variables like the relationship between
speaker and listener, the age difference, the tone used and the social and physical background. A
five year old toddler, for instance, could utter taboo words without knowing the meaning the way
adults do. On the other hand, what children see as

4. Biography of Musician Lou Reed
My mother was born in 1950 in Brooklyn; she grew up with Beatle mania and after medical
school moved to Greenwich Village to live amongst the beatniks. Thus, growing up listening to
The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones, I knew one thing to be true: rock n roll. These
bands have been decisive parts of my transition to adulthood and have followed me throughout my
life, coming in and out like crashing waves. I have spent months listening solely to The Beatles in
awe of their virtuosity, hoping it will transfer to me. When I moved home back from South
Carolina at the end of this summer, I began to have a profound re obsession with The Velvet
Underground. It seems everyone has their story about how this band has influenced them, for me it
was a few bars into Rock Roll. I listened as a young girl to Lou Reeds lyrics: She started shakin to
that fine fine music, You know her life was saved by rock n roll. And I too, felt I found my
salvation. The day Lou Reed died my heart dropped. Sure, many of the idols in my record crate
have come and gone (Harrison, Hendrix, Cobain), but this felt different. I never experienced the
actual pain of their death as it had already happen when I begun to listen to their music. Heroin, a
song that had always represented obsession and being a slave to passion, was suddenly altered
after a friend of mine had died from an overdose last year. I stared out the window of the train as I
was going into the city and found myself beginning to

5. Dna Profiling Essay
Deoxyribonucleic acid profiling also commonly known as DNA is a biotechnological science, a
forensic technique used to identify individuals by using their genetic sequencing, although most
people have the same DNA they have different regions within their sequencing that makes them
individual. Profiling is not only used for fingerprinting it is used to analyse saliva, skin tissue,
blood, hair and semen. The procedure of DNAprofiling is used to identify criminals, disaster victims
and one s pedigrees through paternity tests.
The advantages of DNA profiling is any cell with nuclei can be used for testing. The testing is
severely sensitive so that any difference in the DNA sequence with be easily picked up when the
scientist is taking extra care. DNA is robust and can hold out from deteriorating even when being
contaminated with toxins and or bacteria. Profiling can easily exclude many suspects from a case,
leading crime investigators on to the right track. Leaving out the innocent suspects and giving them
justice. The table below proves that DNA profiling is a major benefit to our worlds justice today....

A leader is a person who inspires. He brings the best out of his people and they, in turn, follow him

creates a shared passion for a common objective.
In order to be effective, a leader must first believe in his vision so as to be able to convey his
thoughts to others and consequently convince them of the importance of his idea. As a result, such

BIOGRAPHY
Born on September 18, 1971 in Plano Texas, Lance Armstrong began his athletic career by taking
part at the age of 13 in athletic activities such as triathlon. When he turned 16, Lance focused on
cycling, what would later become his passion and point of recognition to the world. Four years
later Lance won the National Amateur Cycling Championship and in 1993 he won the Pro
Cycling Tour s Triple Crown, a major cycling event in the States. At the Olympic Games of 1996,
he suffered from fatigue and bronchitis disappointing his fans by finishing in the twelfth place. The
weariness he felt and the illnesses he suffered were justified later that year when he was diagnosed
with cancer. When the diagnosis was made, Lance was already at the third and final stage of
testicular cancer, where cancer had already spread in his lungs and brain. Five months after the
diagnosis Lance began training again and in 1998 he returned to racing, sponsored by the U.S.
Postal Service. During his two year absence, Lance created the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It was
trough the foundation that Lance met his future wife, Kristin Richard with which he has tree
children. In 1999, just three years after his treatment for cancer, Lance won the Tour de France,
leading the entire race and proving to the world his renewed capabilities. In 2001, Armstrong was
given a clean bill of health which meant that during
8. The Divine Timeless Eternity Theory Essay
The divine timeless eternity theory is the traditional view pertaining to God and time, but it is by
no means the only theory, as there are at least four. My original intention was to compare two
views in relation to this topic, however, the complexity of the dialogue has proven difficult.
Therefore, I will discuss one theory in depth since I believe it will suffice. In this framework, I
will discuss the challenges and varying beliefs with the ideas involved. The goal of my paper is to
understand the doctrine of eternityand find how this changes my understanding of God. Then I will
discuss how this issue influences my approach to God, and to my ministry. First, however, I will
explain the need to uncover the idea of eternalism. We will now proceed.
Why might one explore the idea of how God functions in time? It is extremely difficult to ignore
questions after they have been asked. Historically, questions have been the cause of councils and
creeds that now exist as essential dogmas of the Christian faith. Without questioning, what is real
and what actually exists? The difference can only be distinguished by those who question. While it
might not be explicitly stated, the idea of eternalism is biblical. The theology of the trinity was a
similar idea, where no single passage gives enough evidence to a triune God, but with a proper
understanding of the biblical narrative, there is enough truth to discover such a characteristic of
God s nature. In congruence of this thought,

and is a somewhat okay person, who is brought down by an error in judgement. A good character
example is, Oedipus the King, by Sophocles. Oedipus is a tragic hero who is characterized by the
definition described. Oedipus the kinghad a hard way of life since after his birth he is abandoned

the King, by Sophocles is a greek tragedyplay about human suffering and pain, but is good at the
same time because a person can learn something and benefit from it.Oedipus is already
considered to be somewhat of a hero in the beginning, as he is seen as a good person. He made
decisions that ultimately led to the changes that occurred in his life. Oedipus is a perfect
example of a tragic hero which can be seen in his characteristics like his tragic flaws, the desire to
know the truth, and the knowledge gained in the end. The first thing as a tragic hero that Oedipus
has is tragic flaws. Within the play Oedipus displays two tragic flaws, his pride, and his arrogance,

10. Megacities In The 19th Century
The term megacities is a term from recent years but the phenomenon of big cities is not new at all.
The first cities in human history were built on the plains of Mesopotamia between 4000 and 3000
BC. Rome was the first city to reach a million inhabitants in about 5 BC. This was two to three
times higher than any other previous city. After Rome, London was in 1800 AD the second city
with a million inhabitants and in the 19th century North America followed (Hall, 2010).
The cities that lasted the longest share some same characteristics. According to archaeological and
historical research, settlements that lasted the longest did not grow the most rapidly or had the
highest standard of living. The inhabitants managed their interactions with the land they lived in
such a way that their technologies did not outstrip the ecosystems on which they drew (Sorensen,
2010). The fastest growing cities in the past often burned out over tiВВВme because they exhausted

Introduction
An audit report is an opinion written by an auditor regarding the financial statements of an
organization. The report is prepared using a format that is standard and generally accepted.
However, there can be variations in the report; it only depends on the circumstances of the work
and the engagement of the auditor (Asare Wright pg. 198). An auditor s opinion can either be a
clean opinion, qualified opinion, adverse opinion or a disclaimer opinion. An honest opinion is
given if the financial statements show a fair representation of an organization s financial position.
A qualified opinion is offered if there were any limiting factors imposed on the work of the auditor.
An adverse opinion is delivered if there was a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between both
parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on how
the auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific items
that needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand
matters that related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive.
The auditors focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and
independent as they conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the
reporting of the audited information (Andon O Dwyer, pg. 1400).
The audit reports of 2014 and 2015 use the ISA 570 where the auditor responsibility has to audit the
financial reports about how the management uses the going concern aspect when preparing the
financial statements. Therefore, the going concern assumption allows one to view a company as a
business that will continue with its operations in the future. Additionally, the management prepares
their financial reports using this assumption unless the organization intends to cease its operations
or liquidate their assets (Bhattacharyya, pg 20). Therefore, the auditors in both reports show that the
organization is going to continue with their transactions shortly because the assets together with the

In the way he conveys this, it s clear that he feels time is moving very slowly. In the third stanza,
We do not wind it up, it has no weights, spring wheels inside of its slender self, no indeed dear
nothing of the kind (Cummings Web), Cummings creates vivid imagery. This shows that
Cummings is relating how he has no use for a clock and doesn t care for the principle of keeping
time. He would rather live life time free, without having to worry about being on time or being late.
The third and final poetic device that shows up in the poem, 9 , is symbolism. To begin the
poem Cummings uses symbolism. The number 9 refers to the number of times he uses the
words, tic toc , toc tic , tic tic , toc , and tic . Also, as seen in the fourth stanza, So when kiss
spring comes, we ll kiss each kiss other on kiss the kiss lips because the tic clocks toc don t
make a toc tic difference to kiss kiss you and to kiss me (Cummings Web). Cummings uses the
word kiss to complicate and clutter the verse. If you remove those words, he simply summarizes
all of his thoughts in the last stanza. He says when spring comes; we can kiss because the clocks
don t make a difference to you and me. This symbolizes that Cummings can t wait for the spring
and summer months when the clocks don t play a role in his life.
In conclusion, Cummings uses his poem 9 to relay his feeling to time. He feels that

Performance management mostly is not successful as expected in the public sector. According to
Her Majesty s Inspectorate of Constabulary for Scotland (2005) a thematic inspection of
performance management noted that though performance management was substantially developed
, a long way is still needed to go before everyone was responsible for providing a good service and
many areas of performance management in the early stages of implementation existed as well .
There are many implementation reasons causing these problems, for instance, the reduction of

the technical problems of their indicators (Pollitt, 2005). Secondly, systems problems are related
to the bigger picture issues, i.e. integrating performance systems into the original systems

18. The Nationalism Of The 19th Century
Abstract in Abstract in principle, yet individually quantifiable, nationalism swept through 18th and
19th century global populations, igniting the fire for some of the most significant and revolutionary
changes of the time. During the period, eons old hierarchal systems found themselves closeted, as
novel enlightenment principles were bred and spread throughout the world. Kingdoms fell, borders
were redrawn, and ultimately, nationalism led to the worldwide adoption of a new sense of
individual identity, no longer associated with kings and queens. Full embracement of the
nationalistic revolution benefited individuals and nations alike, eliciting feelings of pride in its
practitioners, while uniting individuals in invisible and powerful communities, resulting in the
forward progression of society.
Angered and primed for revolt, as the result of continual monarchal abuse, citizens of Europe and

Contributions with the field of biomechanics along with advancements in technology have led to
improvements in the general and public safety pertaining to motor vehicles. Air bags have
reduced mortality rates in motor vehicle accidents significantly throughout the years. Air bags
have undergone development for many years, first being introduced in the 1960 s with the
release of the first commercial air bag in the 1980 s appearing in motor vehicles. Air bags have
been a subject of research and tests throughout the years currently still evolving. Through studies
and research collected, air bags have shown to be a beneficial innovation to the health and safety
of the public. Air bags are intended to provide maximum protection to driver and passenger
occupants during a collision. Head, neck, and chest body regions are considered most vulnerable
to severe trauma (Pintar, Yoganandan, Gennarelli, 2000) . An air bag is rapidly inflated during
the impact of a collision. It is intended to serve as a cushion to the driver or passenger to prevent

22. Military Hero Essay
Who do you think is the most important in a play, the lead role, or the stage hands? Like how a
play is, it s just the same in the military. There are the soldiers that go out and fight, and there are
ones that make, test, and fix their equipment. My grandfather, Glen Sauerbry, was a technician in
the air force, and played the most important role in the air force and was and still is, a herofor doing
it. Glen Sauerbry is a hero because he joined the militarywith no prior knowledge on what he was
to do and did it willingly. This is important because if a hero is not willing to face danger and the
unknown, then they cannot become a hero in the first place. In the words of Kendra Cherry,
creator of the Seven Qualities of Heroism, It takes both skill and self confidenceto rush in where
others fear to tread (Cherry). My grandfather was gaining both of these in taking the risk of
joining the military. My grandfather is a hero because he joined the air force knowing the air

Hello Metro Goldwyn Mayer Production Company, I am Jack Dunavant, and I will be
presenting a revolutionary film idea with my co workers Chase Cheeney and Michael
Monteleone. We will be discussing the rationale regarding why our film SkyHawk would be a
great addition to the production company s filmography. The summation of our work over the last
few years has yielded a product that we are confident will become a widespread success. This secret
agent filmrelates to the present American culture. If we take a look at successful secret agent films
in the past several years, it is easy to focus solely on the industry giants of James Bond, Mission
Impossible, and The Bourne Series. James Bond, while a great agent, is obviously unable to
embody our country s culture and lifestyle. The following two series are centered around
American intelligence, but these agents are rogue and offer a counter to society s normal
structure. SkyHawk will be an American influenced spy film that showcases the importance of
diplomatic relations with our country s leaders. Working in a direct relationship with the President
ensures that our main character, Agent Hawk, will be acting properly and in accordance with our
country s ideals and beliefs. This trailer will explain the direction of the film, and coincidentally
take a social commentary on the American dream. While our team consists of up and coming actors
instead of star talent, we prove there are possibilities with hard work and determination

Takashi Murakami, a contemporary artist best known for his monumental movement, Superflat .
Murakami is a Japanese artist who was born and raised in Saitama, just north of Tokyo, on
February 1, 1962. He studied Nihonga, a traditional Japanese painting method thousands of years
old, at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where he received his Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree in 1986. He continued his education until he received his Ph.D in 1993, becoming
the first to achieve this in this department. Although traditionally trained, his artwork incorporates a
wide and diverse use of media, not confining his abilities to one tried and true method. As
Murakami was growing up, he lived through a time when Japan was severely damaged and still
suffering the effects of a post WWII loss. During this time, ... he had become familiar with the

On February 28, 1803, President Thomas Jefferson, with the approval of congress, created the
Corps of Discovery. Their mission was to map the newly acquired western lands of the Louisianna
Purchase, almost 1803 828,000 square miles of unexplored territory, as well as find a route to the
Pacific Ocean. This expedition was led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. During their
adventure, the group encountered many hostile Native American groups, and if not for Sacagawea,
these tribes would have surely jeopardized their operation. Due to her role as a helpful guide,
Sacagawea was crucial in the encounter between the Corps of Discovery and the Native
Americans because she negotiated and traded between the groups, functioned as a peace token, and
served as an interpreter. Sacagawea was born in 1788 in Lemhi County, Idaho and was part of the
Shoshonetribe for which her father was the chief. Her childhood was ruined when her tribe was
attacked by the Hidatsa tribe when she was 11 years old. She was captured as a slave and taken
to what is not North Dakota. She spent a miserable few years with the hostile tribe before being
sold to a French Canadian trapper and fur trader named Toussaint Charbonneau. They lived among
the Hidatsa and Mandan Indians in North Dakota. She was still a young teenager when he forced
her to marry him and she became his second wife. One day, the Corps of Discovery were traveling
through the Hidasta Mandan village when they experienced inclement weather.

Jake Heke is a man with a hair trigger temper, and its unpredictability is the most frightening

times with the bad, and perhaps no scene is more sad than the one in which the family rents a car

decides to stop for just one drink.
Mamaengaroa Kerr Bell, as Grace, the pretty teenager, is also important to the film; she reflects a

Then everything goes bad for them, too.
Once Were Warriors has been praised as an attack on domestic violenceand abuse. So it is. But I

According to the U.S. Labor Statistics 2011 report, when President Obama took office, the
economy was shedding nearly 800,000 jobs each month and millions of families were unable to

significant economic losses, including near record high levels of unemployment and low average

around a top priority, and the policies enacted through the Recovery Act of 2009 have had a

Americans above the poverty line last year alone (Sherman 2009). And this year, the continued
expansion of just two tax credits the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child tax Credit has

American children. The targeted tax relief enacted by President Obama through both the Recovery
Act and the December tax Deal has provided relief to nearly every American, helping them bear

31. Diagnosis And Therapeutic Strategies Of Ebola Virus
From the first outbreak in DRC in 1976 to the recent epidemic in West Africa (2013 2015), there
has been a considerable amount of research done to further the development of the diagnosis and
therapeutic strategies of the Ebola virus. Methods for detecting the virus have improved drastically.
From the initial stage of simply identifying the virusas a whole, diagnosis can now define the
specific species of the virus. Diagnosis processes developed over the years are those that involve
Cell Culture, AntibodyDetection, Protein Antigen Detection, Conventional RT PCR, and Real Time
RT PCR, which is the current standard for EVD diagnosis. In terms of the therapeutic process,
there is still no cure or vaccine that has been approved or cleared for use on human patients with
EVD. The therapy hence largely depends on the immunity of the patient and general treatment of
symptoms as they occur.

33. The Role Of Current Account Deficits On Its Sustainability
The world economy has witnessed some of the biggest crises throughout the course of its history, of
which failure to predict in the earlier days and the severe consequences due to that have urged many
economists in number of think tanks, financial institutions, and governments to develop effective
early warning models focusing on numerous predictors (Edwards, 2001) including current account
deficits. Noticeably, the role of the deficits behind major financial collapses has been in the centre
of great controversy. On one hand, some scholars have argued that current account deficits should
be seen as a threat towards the stability of the world economy and thus should be properly dealt
with while on the other hand, the view that significant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From this point of view, a deficit is thusly the point where the value of imports exceeds that of
exports, in other words, the country is importing more than exporting.
Another definition of the current account balance indicates that it is the difference between the
national (both public and private) savings and investment (Ghosh and Ramakrishnan, 2006). Hence,
it can be inferred that a deficit takes place when there is a higher level of investment compared to
the level of savings in the state. In particular, this type of behaviour is apparent in countries which
enjoy increasing GDP growth rate, leading to the boom in consumption power.
The third viewpoint concerns with intertemporal trade, or to put it simply, the exchange of goods
today for goods tomorrow (Corden, 2007). In this case, a country would be buying goods today
(running a deficit) and selling goods in the future (running a surplus) through financial claims such
as bonds, equities and so on.
Current account deficit Is it persistent?
There have been implicit as well as explicit arguments about the persistence of the current account
deficits, some of which have agreed that it is just a temporary phenomenon and cannot be sustained
whilst others evidently illustrated that it could be sustainably maintained at a level which is
consistent with that of solvency (Milesi Ferretti and Razin, 1996 cited in Edwards, 2001).

Pierre Simon Laplace was a famous scientist born on March 23, 1749, in Normandy, France. He
went through schooling and later enrolled at Caen University at the age of sixteen to study
theology. His father had an expectation for him to have a career in the church, in those times
when people attended the school Laplace attended, their usual job destinations were the church or
army. Laplace went into neither of those, even those he was studying theology. While at the
school he discovered his love for mathematics and discovered he had a talent in that field.
Laplace made numerous contributions through his work. Besides his work on mathematical
astronomy, he also studied planetary orbits. Laplace is famous for his discovery of what is
famously known as Laplace s Demon, which is not an actual demon. Laplace s Demon was first
known as Laplace s Intellect. His thought experiment was first discovered by him in 1814, which
made it the first published work of determinism. Laplace s Demon, is basically the idea of
determinism. His other works, although should still not go unnoticed, he had a great influence on

In the 1850 s, America was undergoing a massive internal changes via the industrial revolution.
With this new era, American culture was drastically changed as women started to take a more

to stimulate this change by illustrating the positive influence of a strong female character in a
Puritanical society through his heroine, Hester Prynne, by putting her in a scandalous situation

An early example of this is how she handles her service to others. Even while being harassed by
the general public, Hester Prynne continues to make these sacrifices which are only rewarded
with hatred and insults. Hester foregoes her own pleasures, except for the lavish decoration of
her infant, and bestows the rest of her wealth on wretches less miserable than herself
(Hawthorne 75). She even continues to aid the poor despite the fact that they not unfrequently
insulted the hand that fed them (Hawthorne 75). Despite the fact that it was in Hester s best
interests not to aid those around her, she continued to do so. This evidences her sheer strength
of character as the heroine of the novel. Hester s loyalty is also magnified by her selfless nature,
as her willingness to sacrifice lends itself well to remaining loyal to others. Hester also selflessly
bears the burden of the entire community s sin. Hester perceives the hidden sin in other hearts
around her and because her sin has been uncovered, she alone bears the penalty for deviancy
(Taylor). A prime example of this is once again her refusal to reveal Dimmesdale as her child s
father. In resisting their efforts to uncover him, Hester states to the clergy: I might endure his
agony, as well as mine! (Hawthorne 63). Here, her loyalty is greatly supplemented by her
willingness to suffer in place

Alexander Graham Bell
He was born to Alexander Melville Bell and Eliza Grace Symonds. His mother was almost deaf,
and his father taught elocution to the deaf, which I find very ironic. This ended up influencing
Alexander s later career choice as teacher of the deaf. At age 11 he entered the Royal High School

graduating.
Alexander invented the first ever telephone. He lived from 1847 to 1922, he was a scottish born
american scientist. He worked at a school for the deaf while trying to invent a machine that
would send sound by electricity. Bell was granted the first official patent for his telephone in
March 1876, though he would later face years of legal challenges to his claim that he was its sole
inventor, resulting in one of history s longest patent battles. When he got his machine to work, he
offered to sell his patent to Western Union for 100 thousand dollars. Western Union turned down
his offer because the telephone did not really hit it off at first. So Alexander decided to make his
own telephone company. The Bell Telephone Company, a common law joint stock company, was
organized in Boston, Massachusetts on July 9, 1877, by Alexander Graham Bell s father in law
Gardiner Greene Hubbard, who also helped organize a sister company the New England Telephone

41. Subcultures And Its Influence On Contemporary Society
Historically, subcultures found its definition originating in the early 1800s, with examples such as
bohemia and another example(ref). Whether subcultures still have an identifiable existence in today
s contemporary society is contentious pertaining to its difficulty in actual measurement. It is
important to look from a historical perspective at the features that define a subculture, and gives it
the unique identity that constitutes some discernible traits that differ from conventional society.
This is to say that the traits that make the subculture are not singular in their form, for they can be
both abstract and material. It is the intent of this essay to highlight such features and question if
subcultures as a term, should still be applicable in contemporary society. From Teddy Boys, mods
and rockers, hells angels to punks and even modern day terms for groups such as chavs, subcultures
have throughout history attempted to identify themselves from what is considered societies
definition of normal (ref). This form of indifference against the majority agreed upon social
construction of society, is expressed in a multitude of ways. The social constriction that minority
groups feel in the respect of class stratification, cultural, political, and religious beliefs result in
sense of being ostracized (ref). Through this constraint, the expression of subcultures emerges in the
manifestation of unique socially constructed ideas and beliefs. This typically goes hand in hand with

42. The Holy Spirit Of The Ark
Remember, I told you the Rapture is a type of ark. The first time God used an ark was to save
people that believed in Him from the destruction of water. The second time will be to save the
faithful from the destruction of fire with the ark of rapture by a Bridegroom. It has never been
God s method in the past to pour wrath out on believers! Noah and his family went inside of the
ark seven days before the flood. The ark was a covering like a huppa, which is symbolic of heaven.
The church will be raptured away just like an ancient Jewish bride would have been. The Holy Spirit
fell on the church at Pentecost after Jesusreturned to His Father s house. The Holy Spirit is the
Comforter that Jesus promised would come after His Ascension. The Holy Spirit manifested
within the body of the church, and it is the current restrainer of the antichrist. A spirit needs a
body to manifest itself in, and when the Holy Spirit filled church is gone, Satan, who is a spirit,
will be able to take over inside of the antichrist. The apostle Paul tells us this in 2Thessalonians
2:7 NASB, For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so
until he is taken out of the way.

43. How Did The Right Of The Government Change The Power Of...
The world is always changing, people, ideas, and new rules. The way people think and what they
want in life change as they age and as new progress is made. Therefor, government should be
changed when its ideals no longer aline with that of the peoples. The right of the government to
rule over people should come from the people s approval. If people do not agree with their
governmentthey have the right to change their government. This right has changed history all over
the world. Without this right the power of the government may be in the hands of a single ruler or
monarch who has no interest in their people s wants or needs, and when this power falls into the
wrong hands the people of a country have the right to take this power away and end the trynary in
their country and give power to a more well suited government.... Show more content on

There have been many instances in history where the people have successfully caused a change in
their government. The Declaration of Independence calls on this right when they broke away from
England and formed their own government. England has also used the right to alter government
when dethroning king Charles I during the English Civil War. Charles s belief of absolute power in
a sole monarch was countered by Parliament, who won the war, wanting to rule over the English
government. Giving Parliament the power to rule over the English government was a great change
to how the country was ruled, and creating the Commonwealth of England. These are not the only
instances in which the people s power to alter the government has changed history forever, but they
are two times the people have changed their country

The acquisition of SC has also the potential to add on unique liquor which is mixed by a secret

of foreign distribution and tremendous brand growth in 1977 compared with competitor brands
in the same product line. Because SC is not aggressively marketed and that it is wrongly

penetration capabilities and know how to BF. If aggressively marketed and repositioned SC
could add a lot of vale to BF too. SC also has a well reputable brand offering and the management
is well run and efficient, equal to that of BF thus the acquisition of SC would fit well in BF style
of management philosophy. SC also has modern equipment which is an asset that could strengthen
the asset base of BF and could be used in the continued production of SC without replenishing the
asset in the foreseeable future and/or tries to adopt the production of SC to BF product line

46. Agricultural Trade Policies During The European Union
Agriculture has been one of the flagship areas of European collaboration since the early days of
the European Community (EC). Agricultural trade policies in the European Union (EU) can be
divided into roughly two parts: production support via the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)
and External Trade Barriers via tariffs and quotas set against non member states. When the
principles of the Common Market were decided in late 50s, France insisted on a system of
agricultural subsidies as its price for agreeing to free trade in industrial goods. The CAP began
operating in 1962, with the EC intervening to buy farm output when the market price fell below an
agreed target level. This helped reduce Europe s reliance on imported food but led to... Show more

CAP
From the production side, the cornerstone policy of European agricultural is the CAP. This policy
was born in the late 1950s when the founding members of the EC had emerged from over a decade
of severe food shortages during and after World War II. At the time of the Treaty of Rome, signed in
1957 which established the Common Market, the then six member states strongly intervened in
their own agricultural sectors. These individual agricultural polices posed an obstacle to free trade
detailed within the rules of the Common Market. France in particular, along with a number farming
professional organisations wanted to maintain strong state intervention in agriculture. This could
therefore only be achieved if policies were harmonised and transferred to the EC level. By 1962,
three major principles had been established to guide the CAP: market unity, community preference
and financial solidarity. Since then, the CAP has been a central element in the European
institutional system and idea.
The formation of the CAP is often explained as the result of a political compromise between
France and Germany. Germany as the largest net contributor to the EU budget has therefore
subsidised French Agriculture in return for un hindered access for its Industrial goods via the
Common Market. This observation has become less true overtime, as the EU has expanded and
taken on a vast array of different markets. By 2005,

No matter how big or small, we as human beings metamorphose in order to survive, both
physically and mentally. This was an important part of President Obama s last State of the
Union address, in which he said, No matter what obstacles our country faces, we, as Americans,
must always pave our way to greatness together. And he s right, as Americans always have.
Through the many hardships we have experienced as a nation, the American people have had to
bring forth strength and talents like never before in order to keep our nation afloat. Adversity
does not only expose qualities of individuals, but also groups of people as a whole. This has also
been seen within many civil rights movements, such as the initial movement led by Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. In regards to his movement, Dr. King once said, We have been beaten, lynched,
raped, jailed, and murdered, but do you see us retreating? No... We are stronger than we may have
led you to believe. Dr. King and the African American Civil Rights Movement were literally almost
beaten into submission by the white man in America, but they used the strength they gained from
the rage and sadness they felt in order to keep on. Hardship within movements is especially
powerful because it shows the combined strength of those who went through the same exact
persecution or discrimination. Even when these people could not bring change by themselves,
together they were more powerful than any imagined god. This is what adversity brings forth in
people, especially in

Introduction
Signal Soldiers must be adept at operating complex signal systems and integrating progressive
technologies into the U. S. Army network. They must support multiple combat platforms from the
Infantry to Field Artillery and everything in between.
The rapid advancement of information technologies and a network centric force have transformed
the Army s warfighting capabilities. They have also impacted the Signal Corps ability to create
Soldiers who are capable of keeping pace. It must now rethink the process of how it is accesses,
trains, and sustains the Signal Soldier of the future. Since the war on terror, technological
developments in the signal realm have been numerous and far reaching. The Army network and
supported information technology (both hardware and software) provided by the Corps are an
integral part of warfighting capabilities and combat multipliers. Commanders and warfighters rely
on the knowledge and skills of the signal Soldiers to provide and implement these technologies to
meet their operational needs.
They expect the signal Soldier to be capable of establishing and maintaining communications in any
environment, to support any mission, independently or as a member of a team. They must be the
subject matter expert in their chosen profession. It is imperative that today s Soldier seamlessly

Title Stand up comedy industry
Thesis 1: From an industrial organization point of view, the stand up comedy market structure in
the 1980s can be characterized as an oligopoly
The structure of a market, thus how a market is functioning, is the concept behind the industrial
organization theory . The Industrial Organization (IO) theory is about, how a structure of a market
has an influence on the strategy and decision making of a company. 1 The theory therefore focusses
on the market wherein the company operates and links the decisions of the company to the market.
In the economic theory of industrial organisation, an industry can be defined according to several

In 1975 such a diachronic dialectic was found for the first time in de music industry by Peterson
and Berger. They saw an active interaction/connection between small and large firms, which
influenced the market. While the large firms were competing with each other, niches opened up
and were filled by smaller firms.
But unlike the music industry and the American film industry (Mezias Mezias, 2000), there is not a
diachronic dialectic between small firms and large firms in the stand up comedy industry.
According to the resource partitioning theory, a theory conceptualized by Caroll in 1985, this
dialectic exists when the big firms are competing with each other. Just a few of these generalists
survive and they move forward toward the centre of the market. Because of this movement small
pockets of resources open up, where smaller firms can thrive (Vermeulen Bruggeman, 2000).
However, in the stand up comedy industry it is difficult to underestimate large and small firms,
instead we distinguish comedians and the media they use to reach their audience. Hence it weren t
large firms causing the opening of the niches for smaller firms. Instead it has been the increase of
the use of media over the past couple decades that has stimulated the creative industry of stand up
comedy.

the need to reconcile drives within the constraints of social living (Hutchison, 2015, p. 132).
Now, ego psychologists view the ego as being present from the time of birth. In comparison to
cognitive theory, ego psychologists believe that there are developmental stages in which the ego

it does have to develop and adjust to new life situations just as one s cognitiongoes through

In assessing the client through cognitive theory, K appears to be unable to find equilibrium
between her schema of knowing abuse is wrong and not the victim s fault, and her learned
experience of being abused and having these opinion and thoughts towards herself. In hypothetical
situations, she knows and understands that abuse victims are not to blame for their abuse, but she
is unable to assimilate that information into her lived experience of abuse. The social worker
would likely assess K as having cognitive distortions about personal abuse. In the planning process,
the social worker must work to understand why K has the particular assumptions that she is to

attentively to the ways in which K understands and verbalizes her understanding of her abuse and
