The Fear Of Glossophobia
If speaking in front of a massive crowd terrifies you, you are not alone. Glossophobia or in layman s
term, fear of public speaking is strikingly prevalent. In fact, 75% of the world s population has some
degree of anxiety when it comes to speaking in public. Even prominent personalities such as Barbara
Streisand and Prince Harry of Wales admitted upon suffering this phobia. McClafferty (2015) cited
that the term glossophobia originated from the Greek word glōssa which translate to tongue, and
phobos meaning fear or dread. The fear of public speaking according to Carelse, is a very specific
form of stage fright or speech anxiety . It is classified by psychologists simply as a social anxiety
disorder, although glossophobics (people who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

confident and well spoken individuals. The fear only come from the eyes being fixed on you, the only

Operating Systems And Operating System
Operating Systems Every computer needs an operating system to operate. The operating system
controls everything that the computer does, the master controller. It is the gasoline of the computer.
According to Parsons and Oja (2014), they state that an operating system is the integral part of
virtually every computer system. It fundamentally affects how you can use your computer (p 184).
Most computers are bought with the operating system already installed. Once the computer is turned
on, the operating system does a check of the system, which includes the hardware of peripheral
devices attached. Once the check is complete, the operating system is loaded into the ROM of the
computer. There are several different operating systems that can run a computer system. Just like
software, the operating system has been upgraded to perfection over the years. Back in the earlier
years of computers, there was only one operating system. This was the well known , Disk Operating
System, also known as DOS. Looking back, DOS was a complicated operating system. Once a
computer was turned on, you would see a flashing MS DOS:. This was its way of telling you, that it is
ready for its next command. This is when you had to rely on the book. Because it did not provide you
with an on screen list of what you could do from there. You had to specifically type in the command,
of what you wanted to do next. However, the life of the computer changed forever with the birth of

Essay about Nationalist Ideas in the Middle East
Nationality is the desire of a group of people to preserve or obtain common statehood and the ideology
stressing loyalty to the nation state or seeking independence of a national group. Michel Aflaq,
Theodor Herzl, and the Palestinian National Charter have fundamentally different ideas on
establishing nationalism, however each movement and charter wishes to establish a national identity
as well as a state due to their experiences of oppression and dispersion. Michel Aflaq describes his
ideas on Arab nationalism through the Arab Baath party, which entails the establishment of an Arab
state and the right to govern themselves, as well as a revivification of old Arab thought and ideology.

movement in that it does not enact a political ideology such as Ba th socialism, but it calls for rallying
of the Jews and mass immigration in order to secure specifically Palestine as the Jewish state. The

Increasing Driving Age
Increase in Driving Age
Sixteen year olds have higher crash rates than drivers of any other age. Young drivers just aren t
mature enough to be on the roads, risking other drivers lives by their reckless deeds. By increasing the
driving age teens have more time to practice making them more prepared and more likely to be safer
drivers. Teens have a very short attention span, with technology; they are even more likely to get
distracted making it more dangerous for them and other drivers Auto insurance is more expensive for
teen drivers for a reason. Teens are more likely to speed and take advantage of being free making them
more reckless than ever (Ghaskata).

Speeding or going too fast for road conditions, is a major factor in teen crash deaths ( Speeding ).
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for people from the ages 15 to 20 ( Teen Drivers
and Speeding ). Teens were involved in about fourteen thousand fatal crashes and more than four
thousand two hundred of them had to do with speeding. An AAA survey says speeding is one of the
top three mistakes teens make ( Speeding One of Top Deadly Mistakes Made by Teen Drivers ). It s
not the lack of education per say but rather the mindset of the driver. Teens have the mindset that
speeding and racing is cool and the consequences that can inevitably follow these rash decisions are
not important enough for them to not do it. Teens are constantly being peer pressured by their friends
and surroundings. Statistics show that over fifty percent of teens experience with alcohol because of
peer pressure and forty percent have tried a drug ( Peer Pressure: The Effect on Teenagers ). If
teenagers are willing to experience with drugs and alcohol because they feel pressures, what would
prevent them from speeding ten miles above the speed limit for example. It seems harmless to drive
fifty mph in a forty mph road, but there are limits for different areas for a reason, from traffic
condition to road conditions making it harder for those teens that are speeding to control the car in

Joran Van Der Sloot Biography
A week after Holloway s disappearance, police arrested the last men seen with Holloway: Joran Van
der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe, and Satish Kalpoe. In the beginning, the stories of all three men matched.
They stated that they all went to the beach and eventually dropped Holloway back off at the Holiday
Inn. However, this claim was proven to be false after video tapes were reviewed showing that the
Kalpoe car never went to the hotel (Joran van der Sloot Biography, 2016).
The two Kalpoe brothers then changed their story and told authorities that Holloway made them leave
her and Joran van der Sloot at a fishermans hut on the beach nearby. The brothers went on to say that
they never heard from Natalee again (Joran van der Sloot Biography, 2016).

Over the course of the investigation, several individuals were arrested and questioned. The stories of

The Walking Dead Psychology
The Walking Dead is a horror/drama television series based on the comics written by Robert Kirkman.
This is a show about the rest of the world trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. But, is there more
to this series than just the blood, gore, and death? Yes, it seems there truly is more to this series. The
Walking Dead is about many things including: family, friendship, love, forgiveness, and learning who
to trust, it s not just filled with horror as some may believe. Rick, one of the main characters, quickly
learns that he has been betrayed by his own wife and best friend. This is where the plot thickens and
the true meanings in this show start to come into play, but first let s take a few steps back. After

All they have is each other, and they are being forced to watch their loved ones be ripped apart by
these monsters. They have no time to grieve because the family they just lost is now one of them, a
flesh eating zombie. Here comes the blood and gore, or from a different angle, love and respect for
their family. What do they do now that the one they ve lost has turned into a zombie? They must kill
them of course. Some see an act to keep themselves alive, and I absolutely agree, but a true fan can
put themselves in their shoes and realize that they only want the best for their family. To keep them
from being this horrible creature they must kill them, and they do it out of love. By doing this they get
the chance to grieve and give this person a proper burial, well as proper as it can be in this life. This
family keeps going no matter what. They lose people, but they also meet new people. At times, they
find this shocking to learn they are not the only people left. It seems like if you found another living

How Does Golding Present The Evil In Lord Of The Flies
Evil has been in existence ever since the beginning of time. Evil was present in the heart of mankind
starting with when Adam and Eve were first placed here on earth. The evil of the world began with the
snake enticing Eve to eat the forbidden fruit of God. Regardless of the person, evil is lurking
somewhere within their hearts. There is no human who wishes to be classified as a savage, but when
placed in the situation of being stranded on a deserted island, all sense of civilization is easily
abandoned. In Lord of The Flies, William Golding successfully uses characterization and symbolism
to powerfully reveal the tragic state of society is the result of inherent defects in human nature.

Piggy lacks the natural instinct which it takes to survive on the island without adults. According to
Oldsey, Piggy is physically incapable and emotionally immature (26). Piggy survives solely due to the
reliance on the other boys. In addition, his death marks the point where all civility on the island is
abandoned. Throughout the story Jack Merridew is the main perpetrator of the evil of mankind. As
stated by Bloom, He is quick to show that he carries a large knife, almost never backs down from
confrontation, and is excited about having an army of hunters (14). Jack is a superior example of how
quickly and easily people revert back to their primitive ways and the evil of human nature can take
over a mass of people. Jack becomes obsessed with hunting and causes the inner beast of the boys
come out. Simon is one of the more quiet characters encountered in the novel. Golding presents Simon
as the Christ figure throughout the story. Simon wishes he could speak to the group and be accepted
by Ralph and the others, who for the most part think of him as crazy (Bloom 15). Simon is a recluse
who often found peace by himself in the woods. Simon maintains maturity and sanity

Surviving Female Gender Roles
Surviving Female Gender Roles What defines being feminine will vary with each culture, but two
archetypes: passive homemaker and liberal feminist have existed for centuries as one will see in two
Japanese stories written in the 17th century. In The Love Suicides at Amijima, readers see the social
chains that bind a submissive woman to her societal duties. On the other hand, in Tales of Sensuous
Women, readers are shown a complete opposite archetype where women find ways to circumvent the
social expectations that have been imposed upon them. Although four hundred or so years have passed
since these stories were written, modern women these days still have a number of societal restrictions
that make them less liberated than their male ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Readers of The Love Suicides at Amijima would not be able to see multi faceted female characters as
these in Life of a Sensuous Woman. Readers would only see female characters who blindly support
the endeavors of the men in their lives. The women in Tales of Sensuous Women are less confined by
circumstance but 17th century Japanese people would have preferred the obedient and submissive
female as opposed to one who had a mind of her own. The feminist movement that guaranteed a
female s civil rights through law has increased the number of rights given to them. In the 21st century,
society believes that a female who fits the homemaker archetype should be more adventurous while a
female who fits the liberated, free loving archetype should be more restrained. Society accepts from
women, a balance between the two archetypes which brings up the question of how social norms or
gender roles are created and who enforces these roles. Does Koharu and Osan s passiveness stem from
physical weakness or were they brought up in a way that made them act this way? They re behavior as
supporter is restrictive and shameful in the sense that they are second class citizens. For the liberated
women, is life for them simply seducing men and robbing them of virility? Almost each protagonist at
the end feels emotionally empty when she reminisces her sexually

Luther s Exposition On The Fourth Commandment
This paper will have a particular focus on Luther s Large Catechisms with specific attention towards
Luther s exposition on the fourth commandment. The following will critically analyze this
confessional text in light of its historical theological context and conclude with its contemporary
relevance within American social milieu. In particular, this paper will view Luther s exposition on the
fourth commandment with a pragmatic lens as a means to explore its implications for the American
social structure.
Luther s Large Catechism was written to assist preachers and pastors with Christian education and to
improve upon their fulfillment of their office duties. During the summer of 1527 Luther and his
colleagues at Wittenburg were rudely awakened by the pastoral leadership climate of the church. Due
to the various changes that were taking place during the Reformation, European society s interest in
Christian piety dramatically increased during the late Medieval Ages. As a result the church increased
the number of rostered Clergy to meet the pastoral demands. However, most of the clergy had little to
no educational background and what theology they did know came from booklets that assisted them in
their pastoral duties. In short, the church had an overabundance of underequipped clergy who were
loosely following the proper call of their office, and as a result laity were uninformed on Christian
doctrine as well as lacking in effective pastor care. In the introduction to the

Drive to grow the company. Having an idea is not enough being passionate about the work is the vital
point. Passion brings great drive to an enterprise. Growth is the name of the game. Pushing past the
troubles of start up into a more stable business model is important. Without drive there is no
motivation. This only leads to stagnation.
Take the chance, no risk no reward. Many serial entrepreneurs have a bit of a daredevil nature they are
risk takers willing to put their word and money on the line to make things work. Being tenacious is
part of the characteristic that lead to drive. Entrepreneurs have an unstinting belief that their idea is

The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs
The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue
across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that all
handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has been
much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of inclusion.
This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are within a
community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may generate. The
terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to ineffective
inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is successful
inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too open and cannot
be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself connotes a multiplicity
of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature stating what is meant by
inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within the matter. Therefore, the
inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always been successful. Despite there
being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the process can be neglected and may
result in segregation still existing within some schools. This issue may be resolved by

Facets of Overall Health
Facets of Overall Health
When one thinks of health, it is often associated with physical well being. Most believe good
health is achieved by good levels of energy, fewer illnesses and trips to the doctor and normal organ
functioning. However, this is only one aspect of a persons health. Mental illness, spiritual beliefs,
living
conditions and socio economic levels, all play important roles when it comes to determining a person s
health.
Health is a social construction comprised of cultural beliefs, statistics and morbidity rate within
a culture, gender, class, education and religion; all of which determine our individual opinion and
reality of what health really is. For example, some people are naturally skinny and have a hard time
gaining weight where others are on the opposite end of that spectrum. Body size, type, muscular
density are all factors in determining how physically healthy we are. But, there is also the question of
cultural beliefs. In the western societies, the media places a lot of emphasis on being skinny, as this is
what is considered beautiful. Other societies do not share the same opinion and may believe extra
body
weight is a sign of good health.
Many sociologists have attempted to break down the idea of health in each society, by
developing model systems within different cultural parameters. For example, the Biomedical Model is
most prevalent in the Western world, and it views the

Where does our food come from? Often the answer is Tyson Foods, America s meat factory.
STORIES FROM OUR ADVERTISERS
Tyson, one of the nation s 100 biggest companies, slaughters 135,000 head of cattle a week, along
with 391,000 hogs and an astonishing 41 million chickens. Nearly all Americans regularly eat Tyson
meat at home, at McDonalds, at a cafeteria, at a nursing home.
Even if Tyson did not produce a given piece of meat, the consumer is really only picking between
different versions of the same commoditized beef, chicken, and pork that is produced through a
system Tyson pioneered, says Christopher Leonard, a longtime agribusiness journalist, in his new

Big Meat s lobbyists used its friends in Congress to crush the Obama administration s regulatory

benefited our pocketbooks. When President Herbert Hoover dreamed of putting a chicken in every
pot, chicken was a luxury dish more expensive than beef. In 1930, whole dressed chicken retailed for
$6.48 a pound in today s currency, according to the National Chicken Council. By last year, partly
because of Tyson, chicken retailed for an average price of $1.57 per pound much less than

Iranian Society Is Not A Country Of Fundamentalists And...
Iranian society is more complexed than what its face value portrays. The west tends to attach negative
associations with Iran and the rest of the middle east. The author writes that the purpose of her book is
to show that Iran is not a country of fundamentalists and terrorists, and that characterizations of the
country by the West are inaccurate. Satrapi s narrative does the Iranian society justice. It explains the
common misconceptions of Iran and its society by a first hand account, Marjane Satrapi. In the 1980 s,
politics was everything in Iran, it was the main topic of conversation. As a ten year old girl, the author
is forced to wear a veil to school by those that called for a cultural revolution in Iran. There are many
protests both for and against this cultural revolution. Her French non religious school is abolished and
boys and girls are separated for education. Her mother protests against the changes and her picture
appears in newspapers across Europe (8). Marjane s father explains the history of the Revolution to
her: Reza Shah had been a foot soldier fighting against the King of Persia in order to install a republic.
This had been during a time when Western democratic ideals were being instituted in many countries
around the world. The British had learned of Reza Shah s desire to overthrow the king and, seeing an
opportunity to profit from the country s rich oil fields, the British had supported Reza Shah s plans.
The British made sure he had been

The Nature Of Discovery In The Virgin Suicides By Sofia...
Discovery is often provoked when the actions of others act as a catalyst, often stimulating personal
growth. However, the ramifications are dependent on individual perceptions and the unique context
they bring to the process. These ideas are amplified by Shakespeare s Jacobean romance The Tempest,
with its array of characters who dramatise this instability through diverse human responses contrasting
to the antagonizing nature of discovery. 1999 American drama film, The Virgin Suicides by Sofia
Coppola, reflects the collective consciousness of a group reminiscing on past experiences and
interactions, opening them to discover personal potential. This process acts as a catalyst for an
evaluation of the impact of change, leading to new discoveries. In exploring composer s
representations of discoveries, individuals learn the symbiotic relationships of new insights and their
intrinsic value.
Discoveries that are catalysed by unexpected an unprecedented human interaction, are often the most
powerful and lead to immense personal growth. Thus understanding emerges through a range of
dramatic forms and features within The Tempest, As the title suggests the work revolves around an
extended metaphor, partly concerned with the forces of nature, evident from the very opening of the
play as Prospero s elaborate scheme to inflict vengeance on his usurpers in a manner much like the
chaotic nature of a storm or tempest. As such, Prospero s, lack of empathy and self awareness is
reflected

Of Thomas Manns Tonio KroegerAnd Albert Camus s The Stranger
Thomas Mann s Tonio Kroeger and Albert Camus s The Stranger
Introduction
The literary characters of Meursault and Tonio Kroeger are likely depicted as outsiders in the novels
The Stranger by Albert Camus and Tonio Kroeger by Thomas Mann. The novels can both be described
as existentialist investigations. In the school of philosophy, existentialism seeks to investigate the
relationship between individuals and the society, the meaning of life, and the unavoidable conflicts in
interpersonal relationships among other inquisitions (Sleasman, 2014). Existentialism is evident in the
two novels under review as the characters are treated as outsiders.
Albert Camus The Stranger The concept of the outsider is demonstrated by the two lead characters
namely Meursault and Tonio Kroeger. In The Stranger, Meursault is depicted as an outsider both in
himself as well as the society as owing to his criminal tendencies as he battles to show emotions and
link with realities regarding his life (Sleasman, 2014). Meursault is depicted as much disconnected to
the current world and life either emotionally or socially. For instance, the opening scene shows how
Meursault reacts to his mother s death. His lack of remorse and loss is both salient and borders on the
pathological. By falling asleep during his mother s funeral; the action demonstrates the lack of
feelings and social competence which children are usually expected to show to their parents (Camus,
2012). Furthermore, he consents

Gettysburg Essay
Gettysburg
Living in close proximity to Gettysburg, I have spent many weekends of my childhood hiking through
the numerous acres of woods on Culp s Hill, climbing the gigantic boulders in Devil s Den, and
tramping through the marshes of Plum Run. Enjoying the scenic beauty is just the beginning as to
what Gettysburg has to offer. However, why is Gettysburg so important to us all as Americans? What
made this small town so famous that tens of thousands of tourists from all over the globe come to walk
through the many wheat fields in the surrounding countryside? While wandering those same fields
that Union and Confederate soldiers fought on some one hundred and forty years ago, I asked myself
why this place was so significant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The next question I asked Mr. Kise focused on why the victory at Gettysburg was so very pivotal to
the Union. In my own analysis of the battle, I did not expect the answer that I received from him. He
said that in his own personal opinion of what makes Gettysburg so important, is Lincoln s speech four
months after the battle (Kise). He goes on to explain that even though the Union Army won a
substantial victory at Gettysburg and helped to turn back the invading Confederate Army, it was when
Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address that gave the battle meaning. Lincoln turned the war from
merely holding the Union together, to giving a new birth of freedom (Kise).
My next question for Mr. Kise is probably the most asked question of the battle of Gettysburg. I
wanted to know what would have occurred if the Confederacy had won the battle. Mr. Kise came to
the conclusion that Lee would have had to withdraw eventually due to the fact that he did not have
many supplies left and he had lost almost a third of his army (Kise). He also argues that the North,
with its superior transportation system, could have quickly brought up other troops (Kise). In all, Mr.
Kise felt that Gettysburg was indeed a key battle for the Union in that the Army of the Potomac was
victorious. However, there were other factors that made it such a key battle as

A Brief Look at Four Areas of the Sound and Music Industry
Sound and Music Industry
Features of four areas of the music industry and their functions:
Music Publishers:
In the music industry a music publisher or company is an entity that develops, protects and values
music. Music publishers are responsible for the development of new music as well as taking care of
the business side allowing songwriters and composers to concentrate on their creative work.
The artist and the publisher share a symbiosis relationship because most artist or starting up
composers do not comprehend how copyright laws and royalties work so music publishers act on
behalf of artist to collect royalties and administer any copyrights the artist might own when their
compositions are used commercially.
Royalties: When an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now that the song has been cleared the record label can produce the dance compilation album and pay
the artist royalties. If the royalties go towards a band then the money is split equally amongst members
although in many cases the songwriter will have a major percentage.
Another priority for the artist after royalties for his work is copyrights.
Usually a publisher and an artist will register their work to obtain copyrights (USA).
In the UK there is no official form that registers your work for copyrights. Instead all original music is
protected by copyright from the time it is recorded or written down in some format.
However it is important to be able to prove that you are the sole owner of you work. This can be
achieved by storing a copy of your work with a solicitor or by uploading parts of songs or ideas to
servers such as you tube thus showing evolution in your work.
As a publisher you will be at the edge of new music. As in you have the chance listen to an artists
music before its release to record labels or radio. A disadvantage of being a publisher is that you can
never guarantee success for you artists. You can invest a lot of time polishing their skills and helping
them create music but you may not be able to successfully plug or sell your artist s work. This can be
very frustrating.
Record companies:
Record companies are huge corporations that own a variety of record labels. For the most

classroom incorporates characteristics from both the tradtional and the online classroom. In the ideal,
hybrid courses offer educators the best of both worlds Hybrid Classrooms are able to have access to
the Internet in order to enhance the learning process. Students have the benefit of having both face to

One technological advantage that is fairly new and should be use more are web blogs they are part of

Determining Abnormal Behavior
For this assignment, I am going to identify and analyze hypothetical and everyday challenges in
defining what is abnormal. I will also identify and evaluate the consequences of classifying a behavior
or individual as abnormal. Lastly, I will organize ideas in a logical structure and support my
statements with reasons and research information.
Determining abnormal behavior or a mental disorder are difficult for many reasons, one being that
every culture has certain morals for suitable conduct, or socially tolerable customs. Customs are
anticipated ways of conducting yourself in a society according to the mainstream; however, those
members of a society who do not think and act like everyone else break these standards, so they are
often defined as abnormal. In addition, the way a person thinks or the way a person conducts
themselves is classified as abnormal if it interrupts the unprinted rules about what is anticipated or
tolerable conduct in a certain social groups. An individual s actions may not be understood to others or
could possibly make others feel threatened or uncomfortable (McLeod, 2014). Another reason why

unable to live a normal life; which is not the case. It has been proven through research that the best
way to challenge these stereotypes is through direct interaction with individuals with knowledge of

Tax Treaties And Double Taxation
Tax Treaties and Double Taxation Every company has the obligation to pay taxes on any income that

do these companies have to pay on each jurisdiction? This could be the big question, since there are
many standards, policies, regulations and/or factors that international companies will need to adapt to.
Governments around the world impose their own taxes, with their own requirements and procedures.

they reside and in the country of earning foreign source income. The United States have its own

jurisdiction has their own set of rules that can be difficult to understand. Many of these rules are
needed to be adapted for their own benefit; since companies will like to take as many advantages as
possible. On the other hand, foreign countries need these companies to pay taxes on the profit that
these companies make on their country. Over the years companies have been paying taxes oversees

Thin-Layer Chromatography Lab
Introduction Thin layer chromatography, also known as TLC, is a principle that describes how various

Embryonic Wars Essay
The specific objective of this major essay is to clarify and summarise the controversial debate
concerning the ethical decency of embryonic cloning for therapeutic purposes. This is the form of
cloning that is supposedly beneficial to a barrage of medical applications. We will identify the key
opposing ethical perspectives such as those of the justification of embryonic research based on the
normative theory of consequentialism. This paper will also probe into the relatively brief history of the

In July this year, scientists of the United Kingdom began to publicly exploit a loophole in the
Government s ruling of the rejection of spare part cloning research. The loophole allows the
researchers to continue with experiments by importing stem cells from cloned embryos which have
been created and destroyed in another country.
There is a rather surprising amount of medical benefits arising from therapeutic cloning research
which have to be weighed before we assess where the debate is currently at. Doctors lay well founded
expectations that by being able to study the multiple embryos developed through cloning, the causes
of disastrous spontaneous abortions can be determined and much human loss can be averted. A greatly
viable application lies in the field of clinical contraceptives. Leading contraceptive specialists perceive
that if they can determine the manner in which an embryo knows where to implant itself, a
contraceptive can be developed which will prevent embryos from implanting in the uterine wall. An
additionally important branch of therapeutic cloning research is embryonic stem cell development.
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that can quot;evolve into almost any type of cell quot; (Lord 28)
within the human body. These cells are not attacked by a person s immune system because of their
rapid maturation and undifferentiated status. Many doctors have reason to believe that these stem

Reasons To Avoid Probate
There are many reasons to avoid probate. Firstly, probate can be a lengthy process that ties up assets
and depreciates the estate s overall value. Most estates require the services of a lawyer or estate
planning service to comply with probate laws. It is relatively easy to avoid probate, or at least keep the
majority of assets from having to pass through the process. Different strategies exist and depend on
the types of assets owned. It is advisable to work with an estate planning expert to determine which
options are best for your situation. The most ironclad way to keep assets out of probate is to draft an
irrevocable life insurance trust or living trust. When assets are transferred to a trust they are no longer

This can be as simple as purchasing pre formatted Wills at an office supply store or downloading
forms from the Internet. Although a Will does not keep assets out of probate, it can expedite the
process. If you can afford to do so, it is best to have an attorney draft the Will. Most attorneys charge a
nominal fee to draft legal documents. Many lawyers offer additional services such as assisting the
designated estate executor in their duties of administering your estate once you are gone. If you do not
execute a Will, everything you own will be transferred to probate court and sit there for months on
end. Your family will not be able to receive inheritance property and your estate must continue making
payments on outstanding debts or mortgaged real estate. Realize your loved ones will be grieving.
Dying without a Will in place only adds more stress and anxiety during a highly charged emotional
event. If you have a checking or savings accounts, go to the bank and ask the teller for Payable on

Why Does Agatha Christie Use Of Third Person
A majority of Christie s novel was written in third person limited. The narrator, in this case Agatha
Christie, knows everything; Christie narrates what is occurring throughout the story and follows
Hercule Poirot s thoughts, actions, and what he is observing. Using third person limited allows the
audience to follow along Poirot s thought process and come up with their own theories on who the
murderer is and how they committed the crime. The novel is written in a recent perspective and talks
in the present tense. The only time the novel uses past tense is when referring to the time of the
murder and reviewing the evidence collected. The time span of the novel only covers about three days.
Since the novel is written in third person limited, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the perspective of Hercule Poirot. By using the third person limited point of view the readers are just
like Poirot, they are trying apprehend the situation at hand and uncover the one who killed Ratchett.
The author wants the audience to play along and see if they can guess the murder right. Agatha
Christie s perspective in the novel is knowledgeable and neutral; the author does not side with any
character and simply tells a story about a crime. The novel although has a variety of ethnic characters

The Price of the Prize
Acts of kindness and charity make the world go round . As one person helps another, a type of pay it
forward phenomenon may occur. If this did happen, and everyone who was helped gave up a little bit
of their time to help another, many lives would be changed for the better. In many cases, where quite a
bit of participation is needed, overseers may lure contestants in with some sort of inducement. Do
people really deserve and often expect accolades for what they have done? Even though some rewards
in return for acts of charity are healthy in moderation, frequent incentives would undermine the actual
cause of helping others. If every good deed had a small reward, opposition would be scarce. However,
if this reward would be used to boost students grades or give employees raises, many would become
skeptical. This is evident when students receive enrichment points for participating and contributing to
a charity drive for those affected by natural disasters or other catastrophic events. When students know
ahead of time that they have an opportunity to increase their grade in a certain class, they will most
likely contribute as much as they can for free points. The careless donating may seem impeccant and
unimportant, but the points earned are enough to skew student s grades as they fail to prove their
knowledge and understanding of material. Credit earned in school should be for successfully
completing assigned class work and grades should portray what the student truly

In Cheap Amusements, Kathy Peiss studies the customs, values, public styles, and ritualized
interactions expressed in leisure time of the working class women living in New York. The social
experiences of these young women gives different clues to the ways in which these women
constructed and gave meaning to their lives between the years of 1880 1920.
The laboring poor s leisure activity was brief, casual, and non commercial. Amusement was and had to
be cheap. It mostly consisted of walks, visiting friends, and reading the penny press. The people of the

These young women found pleasure in dance halls, amusement parks, and movie theaters. The young
women were not content with recreation at home so they went for amp;quot;organized entertainment
amp;quot;. Dressing up nice, strolling the streets and staying late at amusement parks became an
important cultural style for many working women.
Dancing was the greatest passion of all for the single working woman. This is where they played out
their cultural style. This is also where it became easy for young men and women to interact. The dance
craze gave way to dance halls, which could now be rented for large meetings, weddings, dances and
other gatherings. What mattered in the dance hall was popularity, dancing ability, fashionable clothes
and male attention. Still women had a hard time getting past reality. Their work and family life
undercut their social freedom.
Excursions also played a big part in women s leisure time. Women could now afford to use trolleys
and they used these to socialize with men. Women also started travelling to beach resorts on their own.
Coney Island became a major place go for entertainment. Coney Island had amusement parks, dance
halls, beaches, and the boardwalk, this was a place for all to go.
Cheap amusements became a real problem especially for the women of the late nineteenth century.
The amusements were blamed for debasing womanly virtues, segregating youth

  • 3. Operating Systems And Operating System Operating Systems Every computer needs an operating system to operate. The operating system controls everything that the computer does, the master controller. It is the gasoline of the computer. According to Parsons and Oja (2014), they state that an operating system is the integral part of virtually every computer system. It fundamentally affects how you can use your computer (p 184). Most computers are bought with the operating system already installed. Once the computer is turned on, the operating system does a check of the system, which includes the hardware of peripheral devices attached. Once the check is complete, the operating system is loaded into the ROM of the computer. There are several different operating systems that can run a computer system. Just like software, the operating system has been upgraded to perfection over the years. Back in the earlier years of computers, there was only one operating system. This was the well known , Disk Operating System, also known as DOS. Looking back, DOS was a complicated operating system. Once a computer was turned on, you would see a flashing MS DOS:. This was its way of telling you, that it is ready for its next command. This is when you had to rely on the book. Because it did not provide you with an on screen list of what you could do from there. You had to specifically type in the command, of what you wanted to do next. Surviving Female Gender Roles Surviving Female Gender Roles What defines being feminine will vary with each culture, but two archetypes: passive homemaker and liberal feminist have existed for centuries as one will see in two Japanese stories written in the 17th century. In The Love Suicides at Amijima, readers see the social chains that bind a submissive woman to her societal duties. On the other hand, in Tales of Sensuous Women, readers are shown a complete opposite archetype where women find ways to circumvent the social expectations that have been imposed upon them. Although four hundred or so years have passed since these stories were written, modern women these days still have a number of societal restrictions that make them less liberated than their male ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Readers of The Love Suicides at Amijima would not be able to see multi faceted female characters as these in Life of a Sensuous Woman. Readers would only see female characters who blindly support the endeavors of the men in their lives. The feminist movement that guaranteed a female s civil rights through law has increased the number of rights given to them. In the 21st century, society believes that a female who fits the homemaker archetype should be more adventurous while a female who fits the liberated, free loving archetype should be more restrained. Luther s Exposition On The Fourth Commandment This paper will have a particular focus on Luther s Large Catechisms with specific attention towards Luther s exposition on the fourth commandment. The following will critically analyze this confessional text in light of its historical theological context and conclude with its contemporary relevance within American social milieu. In particular, this paper will view Luther s exposition on the fourth commandment with a pragmatic lens as a means to explore its implications for the American social structure. Luther s Large Catechism was written to assist preachers and pastors with Christian education and to improve upon their fulfillment of their office duties. During the summer of 1527 Luther and his colleagues at Wittenburg were rudely awakened by the pastoral leadership climate of the church. Due to the various changes that were taking place during the Reformation, European society s interest in Christian piety dramatically increased during the late Medieval Ages. As a result the church increased the number of rostered Clergy to meet the pastoral demands. However, most of the clergy had little to no educational background and what theology they did know came from booklets that assisted them in their pastoral duties. In short, the church had an overabundance of underequipped clergy who were loosely following the proper call of their office, and as a result laity were uninformed on Christian doctrine as well as lacking in effective pastor care. • 13. The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that all handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has been much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of inclusion. This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are within a community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may generate. The terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to ineffective inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is successful inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too open and cannot be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself connotes a multiplicity of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature stating what is meant by inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within the matter. Therefore, the inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always been successful. Despite there being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the process can be neglected and may result in segregation still existing within some schools. Most believe good health is achieved by good levels of energy, fewer illnesses and trips to the doctor and normal organ functioning. However, this is only one aspect of a persons health. Mental illness, spiritual beliefs, living conditions and socio economic levels, all play important roles when it comes to determining a person s health. Health is a social construction comprised of cultural beliefs, statistics and morbidity rate within a culture, gender, class, education and religion; all of which determine our individual opinion and reality of what health really is. For example, some people are naturally skinny and have a hard time gaining weight where others are on the opposite end of that spectrum. Body size, type, muscular density are all factors in determining how physically healthy we are. But, there is also the question of cultural beliefs. In the western societies, the media places a lot of emphasis on being skinny, as this is what is considered beautiful. Other societies do not share the same opinion and may believe extra body weight is a sign of good health. Many sociologists have attempted to break down the idea of health in each society, by developing model systems within different cultural parameters. However, the ramifications are dependent on individual perceptions and the unique context they bring to the process. These ideas are amplified by Shakespeare s Jacobean romance The Tempest, with its array of characters who dramatise this instability through diverse human responses contrasting to the antagonizing nature of discovery. 1999 American drama film, The Virgin Suicides by Sofia Coppola, reflects the collective consciousness of a group reminiscing on past experiences and interactions, opening them to discover personal potential. This process acts as a catalyst for an evaluation of the impact of change, leading to new discoveries. In exploring composer s representations of discoveries, individuals learn the symbiotic relationships of new insights and their intrinsic value. Discoveries that are catalysed by unexpected an unprecedented human interaction, are often the most powerful and lead to immense personal growth. Thus understanding emerges through a range of dramatic forms and features within The Tempest, As the title suggests the work revolves around an extended metaphor, partly concerned with the forces of nature, evident from the very opening of the play as Prospero s elaborate scheme to inflict vengeance on his usurpers in a manner much like the chaotic nature of a storm or tempest. Of Thomas Manns Tonio KroegerAnd Albert Camus s The Stranger Thomas Mann s Tonio Kroeger and Albert Camus s The Stranger Introduction The literary characters of Meursault and Tonio Kroeger are likely depicted as outsiders in the novels The Stranger by Albert Camus and Tonio Kroeger by Thomas Mann. The novels can both be described as existentialist investigations. In the school of philosophy, existentialism seeks to investigate the relationship between individuals and the society, the meaning of life, and the unavoidable conflicts in interpersonal relationships among other inquisitions (Sleasman, 2014). Existentialism is evident in the two novels under review as the characters are treated as outsiders. Albert Camus The Stranger The concept of the outsider is demonstrated by the two lead characters namely Meursault and Tonio Kroeger. In The Stranger, Meursault is depicted as an outsider both in himself as well as the society as owing to his criminal tendencies as he battles to show emotions and link with realities regarding his life (Sleasman, 2014). Meursault is depicted as much disconnected to the current world and life either emotionally or socially. For instance, the opening scene shows how Meursault reacts to his mother s death. His lack of remorse and loss is both salient and borders on the pathological. He goes on to explain that even though the Union Army won a substantial victory at Gettysburg and helped to turn back the invading Confederate Army, it was when Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address that gave the battle meaning. Lincoln turned the war from merely holding the Union together, to giving a new birth of freedom (Kise). My next question for Mr. Kise is probably the most asked question of the battle of Gettysburg. I wanted to know what would have occurred if the Confederacy had won the battle. Mr. Kise came to the conclusion that Lee would have had to withdraw eventually due to the fact that he did not have many supplies left and he had lost almost a third of his army (Kise). He also argues that the North, with its superior transportation system, could have quickly brought up other troops (Kise). I will also identify and evaluate the consequences of classifying a behavior or individual as abnormal. Lastly, I will organize ideas in a logical structure and support my statements with reasons and research information. Determining abnormal behavior or a mental disorder are difficult for many reasons, one being that every culture has certain morals for suitable conduct, or socially tolerable customs. Customs are anticipated ways of conducting yourself in a society according to the mainstream; however, those members of a society who do not think and act like everyone else break these standards, so they are often defined as abnormal. In July this year, scientists of the United Kingdom began to publicly exploit a loophole in the Government s ruling of the rejection of spare part cloning research. The loophole allows the researchers to continue with experiments by importing stem cells from cloned embryos which have been created and destroyed in another country. There is a rather surprising amount of medical benefits arising from therapeutic cloning research which have to be weighed before we assess where the debate is currently at. Doctors lay well founded expectations that by being able to study the multiple embryos developed through cloning, the causes of disastrous spontaneous abortions can be determined and much human loss can be averted. A greatly viable application lies in the field of clinical contraceptives. Leading contraceptive specialists perceive that if they can determine the manner in which an embryo knows where to implant itself, a contraceptive can be developed which will prevent embryos from implanting in the uterine wall. An additionally important branch of therapeutic cloning research is embryonic stem cell development. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that can quot;evolve into almost any type of cell quot; (Lord 28) within the human body. These cells are not attacked by a person s immune system because of their rapid maturation and undifferentiated status. Many doctors have reason to believe that these stem ... If this did happen, and everyone who was helped gave up a little bit of their time to help another, many lives would be changed for the better. In many cases, where quite a bit of participation is needed, overseers may lure contestants in with some sort of inducement. Do people really deserve and often expect accolades for what they have done? Even though some rewards in return for acts of charity are healthy in moderation, frequent incentives would undermine the actual cause of helping others. If every good deed had a small reward, opposition would be scarce. However, if this reward would be used to boost students grades or give employees raises, many would become skeptical. This is evident when students receive enrichment points for participating and contributing to a charity drive for those affected by natural disasters or other catastrophic events. When students know ahead of time that they have an opportunity to increase their grade in a certain class, they will most likely contribute as much as they can for free points. The careless donating may seem impeccant and unimportant, but the points earned are enough to skew student s grades as they fail to prove their knowledge and understanding of material.
