Cohabitation is when a couple who is not married is living under the same roof as if they are

Evidence Based Practices for Homeless Sexual Minority Youth

Abstract: SMY (sexual minority youth, which refers within this paper to youth who identify as gay,
lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer) are at risk for trauma in particularly high numbers. When
SMY become homeless, their risk for exposure to trauma becomes even higher, presenting the
helping professions with a population that faces unique problems in clinical settings that may seek
to treat homelessness without considering minority stress and repeated exposure to trauma. We
reviewed literature concerned with trauma, homelessness and SMY issues to determine which
EBPs (evidence based practices) have been deemed most helpful for this population and found very
few. Our investigation into local resources available to homeless SMY was similarly discouraging.
Since previous trauma and marginalized sexual orientation are the primary factors for continued
risk, we can suggest that Trauma Informed Care and Gay Affirmative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
are currently our best choices. This paper will seek to explore why.

I chose to do GNI per capita (PPP 2013) because at first glance I could tell that the numbers
would vary a lot more than the other three options. GNI has to do with thousands while the other
choices were single digits. Gross national income (GNI) was also a topic I find to be interesting.
I think it is beneficial to see each countries individual income and a choropleth map depicts it
very well. The first methodology I used for this map the video by Professor Bell. I looked at the
tables in the Appendix comparing them and doing a little bit of research to see which one was the
most interesting to me. I then opened the Excel sheet and began plugging in the numbers for each

The information in this literature review was collected from an expert interview and the search
databases Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The expert for the expert interview was
selected based on experience with designing prosthetics for individuals that had lost their hand and
potentially part of their arm (Birdwell, 2016). The databases were searched using keywords spinal
cord injury , hand movement , and fine motor movement . In PubMed the selection was also
narrowed down by selecting only studies done on humans. New terminology was searched through
science direct due to the built in function that allows for key words from the article to be selected
for further information from multiple books or journals.

People always like to impute all the misfortunes they have been through to their unfair destinies.
However, most of the occurrences happen in the human society is not random, and every
consequence must have a corresponding reason. Sometimes, the motive of one s action is hard to
find because it may be psychogenic reasons that hide deep in one s mind. Sigmund Freud comes
up the idea that human beings are motivated, even driven, by desires, fears, needs, and conflicts of
which they are unaware (Tyson 14 15). In most of the literature works, narrators unconscious egos
like desires and believes are often the most important factors to affect their behaviors and cause the
consequential narrative events happen. Both of protagonists in the articles, Peyton Farquhar in

This paper will be explaining the different types of leadership skill that I notice in the movie Stand
and Deliver. The movie is a true story about a teacher who fought against all odd to help poor Latin
students to pass the advance placement test in calculus. He motivates the students with everything
that he could think of. The students received such a high test score that the testing center though

organizational structure, the Chairman and CEO Robert Iger, whom is the leader of nine senior
executives with various roles and duties ranging from Disney Studios, Disney Consumer Product,

senior business leaders and 8 principal business unit directors and they are still working as a team.

Burnout Or Compassion Fatigue
Vicarious trauma is also known as compassion fatigue and is often associated with the cost of
caring for others (Figley, 1982). Other terms used to describe this phenomenon are secondary
trauma, stress or secondary victimization (figley, 1982). At the heart of this issue, is that social
workers, therapists, first responders, volunteers, that work with trauma victims/survivors can
experience vicarious trauma, or compassion fatiguebecause of the work they do, and love.
Compassion fatigue is the emotional residue from the exposure of hearing trauma stories over and
over until your heart and head is full until the caller/client s trauma becomes your experience too.
You cannot hear story after story and remain unaffected. As your callers/clients experience a daily
repetition of trauma, so will you .Being a witness to pain, loss, fear, terror or injustice that the
caller/client is living through and has to endure will eventually effect all of us.... Show more content
The day comes and you think you cannot hear one more story of trauma. This is not a sign of
burnout but of compassion fatigue. It s a signal to you that it is time to step back and do self
care. Burnout and compassion fatigue are often confused as the same thing. The difference
between them is that burnout builds up gradually over time and resolves itself when the volunteer
or practitioner takes a break or goes to other work, even in the same field. Vicarious trauma or
compassion fatigue is a state of tension, stress and preoccupation with the stories and traumatic
experiences described and endured by callers/clients. Triggering your own potential traumas or
experiences and looping back and forth between your callers/clients stories and your own until
there is no objective place to witness

Workplace Bullying
Introduction This essay will use Paul Elder (2008) as a guide to give Joseph Jerdee feedback on
his research plan. It will review clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, logic,
significance and the fairness of the research plan.
Clarity
Joseph, the essay clearly states what the research intends to accomplish. Further, it gives good
foundational information on what workplace bullying means and demonstrates that it affects both
males and females.
Accuracy
The claims that are made in the essay about the types of bullying are supported by scholarly
evidence. Add to this, you do a good job highlighting the different types of bullying that may exist
in organizations. This is a big call out as many people may not even be aware ... Show more content

Fairness
The research appears to be fair in the approach as it will be done through a questionnaire. There
appears to be a large enough group to gather information. However, is the group diverse enough as

Maternal Family History
JM is very healthy young boy with no history of any complication disease. He has allergy to
peanuts. JM s mother said if he eats peanuts he starts itching and his eczema start. No known drug
allergies. He does not take any routine medication. JM has never been hospitalization. His mother
states that JM is up to date with the immunizations and last time to see his physician was
December last year for year checkup and he see his dentist every six months.
