International Students Should Be Taught At A University
International students who come from different parts of the world to study with later hopes of finding
a job, take loans to help pay for education ending up in large debts. This sadly is a harsh reality for
students who come as international students into the United States. International students are not
permitted to work off campus while studying at a university. According to the U.S. Citizenship
Immigration Services, visas granted to foreign students are prohibited to any execution of a job
(Working). This can include any work ranging from working in motels and liquor stores to in some
cases, on campus. Inability to abide by these rules can result in deportation or can affect the student
visa and further permissions for a work visa and a green card. Making it incapable for international
students to work off campus, builds a financial burden on these students as well as their parents back
home. Not only are these students burdened with thousands of dollars of debt, the currency exchange
rate makes it tougher for these students to pay for their tuitions, housing, and food, without earning it
in American dollars. Some students are fortunate enough to find and do jobs on campus, but only
small number of students admitted in United States universities are hired for on campus and the
availability is quite low in comparison to a number of international students. This makes it difficult for
international students to get an on campus job and help pay their tuitions, as well as

Arguments Against Fracking
In the United States, the people who are most likely to protest are active in protecting the environment
or they live in a forest or river area that may be directly affected by any fracking happening there.
People are against fracking because they do not like the pollution it can cause as well as believing
some studies showing that it could lead to earthquakes. Many are concerned about the possible
contamination of groundwater resources from the chemicals and water used to in the process of
fracking. Many people do not want to give up their land for the government to use for fracking even if
they receive compensation because the compensation is often less in value than the land they are
sometimes being forced to give up to the government. Some people may like it because if ... Show

2015). Most people who support fracking are older American and most people who oppose fracking
are younger Americans (Swift, 2015). Also noted in the article posted by Gallup News, Republicans
are likely to support fracking while the Democrats show support low (Swift, 2015). Many Democrats
and young Americans believe it is better to protect the environment instead of damaging it to provide
energy for the country. The results of this poll reflect this.In Europe, where people are more than three
times as densely packed on the land... than in the U.S. , people are more likely to participate in
NIMBY protests (Gilblom, 2017). For example, protesters camped around a village south of London
until a fracking company, Cuadrilla Resources, abandoned its well there (Gilblom, 2017). Many
Europeans are against fracking because they fear it will sully their scenery, contaminate their drinking
water, and clog their country lanes. (Gilblom, 2017). It is difficult to find unpopulated land and plenty
of water to exploit shale wells in Europe (Gilblom,

Adequate To Recognize A Person Essay
A Second is Adequate to Recognize a Person
It is a powerful saying that one s company has a strong impact on one, for it can have a huge influence
on how one thinks, feels, or perhaps behaves. Therefore, it could be inferred that the culture that one
hangs out in becomes one s persona. Along those sixteen years, I have bumped into many people,
many friends, and many influential personalities, thus I can tell for a fact that I have grasped
something from each human being. Only after, I have analyzed them as having a negative or a positive
impact on me. Taking two cousins an example, I have not interacted with them much due to
differences in our geographical location; however, the time we spent together was enough to
determine the aura they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Starting off with Zahbia, she went to a private school which emphasized education, and laid aside
fashion and social gatherings. Her parents, in particular, cultivated an academic environment at home,
as I have witnessed Zahbia spending consecutive hours studying for an upcoming test, absolutely
ignoring her surroundings. However, I have also witnessed Rimsha spending consecutive hours
getting ready for school or an event, absolutely ignoring her grades. Since Rimsha attended a coed
school, and her friends circle consisted of mostly rich girls, she was always into getting the best
accessories according to the latest fashions. I vividly remember the time when our extended family
was getting ready to attend a reception, and I was specifically tieing my headscarf, when Rimsha
remarked, You are going to wear the headscarf to a wedding as well? I mean it ruins your
beauty...Look at me. At that moment, I was literally speechless not only because I was told something
negative about my appearance, but because Rimsha ,pursuing the same religion as me, made such an
objection. This highlights the extremities between the ambiences in which Rimsha and Zahbia have
grown up. Nevertheless, they both, to this day and very hour, remain my cousins on the maternal side.

Homelessness Is More Than Ruthlessness Essay
Homelessness is about more than ruthlessness. A home is not just a physical space; it also has a legal
and a social dimension. A home provides roots, identity, and a sense of belonging and a place of
emotional wellbeing. Homelessness is about the loss of all of these. It is an isolating and destructive
experience and homeless people are some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded in our society.
After years of declining trends, 2010 marked the turning point when all forms of homelessness began
to rise. However, it is likely that homelessness will increase yet further, as the delayed effects of the
economic downturn, cuts to housing benefit and other reforms all start to bite.
A survey of people experiencing homelessness found that over 70 per cent were suffering from a
physical health problem. This included respiratory problems, joint and muscle problems and stomach
problems.
There are many reasons why a person becomes homeless lack of affordable housing, loss of a job,
divorce, illness, substance abuse, domestic abuse. One of the first steps you can take toward helping
the homeless is trying to understand how they got there in the first place.
Homeless people can be affected by various situations such as health and mental issues, family issues
and having no job. The government currently offers food banks, job training and housing, but not to
every homeless person. This is wrong because it would not be fair to other people, the government
should offer this help to all

The Pershkins Model
4. RESEARCH DESIGN
This project adopts a qualitative interpretive methodology. In particular, the project follows the
Pershkins model for qualitative research (Yin. K, p136, 2015). Using the Pershkins model, the projects
analyses qualitative data from South Parks 19th season. This is done using various different research
techniques such as visual methods, close readings, textual analysis and composition analysis. The
project follows an ethnographic approach to research, following Spradley s approach to ethnography.
The project shows a body of knowledge, including, theory, research and recounts (Liamputtong. P,
148, 2009). The main sample set is South Parks 19th season. The data is analysed by using both visual
methods and textual methods. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Analysis of South Parks 19th season will be conducted to see how the show adapted to political
correctness. This is done by using a combination of content analysis, discourse analysis and close
readings. Gibbs (2012) theory of thematic categorizing analysis of narrative is used to analyse the
episodes of South Park. Gibbs theory on metaphors in particular will be used (Gibbs, p.4, 2012).
Semiotics are closely analysed, as the symbolic signs are the crux of the data. Chandler s (2017) guide
to semiotic analyse is implemented throughout the analysis.
5. FINDINGS
South Park s 19th season parodies all facets of PC culture. South Park critiques the function of PC
culture, how it s used by our society and how it affects different demographics. In episode 1 Stunning
and Brave South Park critique political correctness with the constant gag of Caitlyn Jenner running
over someone in her car, with the constant gag of Caitlyn Jenner being a brave and beautiful person.
During her transition to female it was seen a politically incorrect to suggest that what she was doing
was not brave and extraordinary. Never mind the fact that she was transitioning during a time when
she was accused of killing

The Issue Of Women s Suffrage
Blindness separates people from things; deafness separates people from people. (Helen Keller). The
biggest problem when it comes to women s rights is that people refuse to hear that there is a problem.
This situation is very familiar in today s world. People refuse to understand that even though women
do have more rights than they did in the past, there are still issues that need to be addressed. Women s
suffrage is one of the most respected and memorable historical events. This movement has been
forgotten because it has been so long ago, men and women both are losing respect for women s rights.
Some men disrespect women s bodies and refuse to acknowledge that they should have rights. People
are forgetting that historic prodigies fought day ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Humanitarian reforms such as the elimination of cruel punishment, the dissemination of empathy
inducing novels, and the abolition of slavery were met with fierce opposition in their time by
ecclesiastical authorities and their apologists. The elevation of parochial values to the realm of the
sacred is a license to dismiss other people s interests, and an imperative to reject the possibility of
compromise. (Steven Pinker). Women are not the only people to face discrimination of rights.
Everyday, someone is denied of their natural born rights. Whether it be a woman, man, homosexual,
animal, or child. It is arbitrary to treat a woman any less than a man, not only because what women are
capable of, but because they are people. Everyone on this Earth deserves to be equal. That is why
women should have equal rights, to their bodies, labor payment, and health care. The life of a person
is very valuable, and should be treated as such. The next time you want to compare or disclose the
natural rights of a woman, think about how you would feel if an individual abducted your natural

Farm As An Allegory In Animal Farm By George Orwell
Animal Farm can be an allegory for any communist revolution and subsequent collapse (if taken a
little more generally), but is specifically drawing from the Russian revolutions of 1917. Many of the
characters are direct parallels to members of the communist regime, and others are representatives of
portions of the population. Old Major represents two different people, both Marx and Lenin. As Marx,
he introduces the principles of communism to the animals. As Lenin, he puts the revolution in motion.
He tells them that they should rebel, and soon. Orwell is largely positive in his portrayal of the
character, he liked Marxism theoretically, believing that the execution was flawed. In the context of
the book, however, Old Major, as the instigator, held much of the blame for the eventual degradation
of the society. But he was eventually forgotten as the farm s condition worsened, so he started the
snowball rolling, but failed to see that it would get bigger and more destructive as it rolled down the
hill. Mr. Jones is Czar Nicholas the II of Russia, the last Czar. He was cruel, and uninterested in the
day to day running of the farm, preferring to leave the job to hired hands, who were just as lazy as
Jones. Nicholas the II wasn t very lazy. He was, however, disconnected from his people, and that
proved to be just as ineffective and damaging. The Czar was overthrown quickly but never came back
to try to reclaim Russia. He was killed by the Bolsheviks just a year after

Beach Descriptive Essay
After lazily waking up, my family and I head to the beach to enjoy the brisk day. It s only around
seventy five degrees, but that doesn t falter our excitement for the beach. The sun shines through the
clouds as we head down to pick a spot. The waves are calm and inviting as we lay our stuff down. The
wind is moving through the beachgrass like a quiet whisper. The seagulls caw, and attempt to steal the
snacks we brought. There s some kids playing in the water, but more are playing in the sand since the
water s so cold. Days like this are quite typical at the beach in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
In Hilton Head, near Coligny Beach, the small village where we stay is quite somnolent. It seems like
no one is ever awake before 9am. In the center of the sleepy town there s a Piggly Wiggly. Everyone
goes in there to get their groceries and beach supplies. Next to it there s an ice cream shop, the Frozen
Moo, which has some of the best ice cream I ve ever had. The shop has at least ninety different flavors
from Apple Pie to Rainbow Sherbet. There s a mural on the wall of cows surfing at the beach with
brightly colored chairs and tables; going along with the cow theme, there s even a life size replica of a
cow that they dress up for holidays. When walking into the town center, the beach is right across from
it. The smell of the ocean air and breeze coming through the town almost hypothesizes you to move
towards the waves. Since it s fairly cold in the morning, no one is ever there.

Fidel Castro Influence
Fidel Castro is one of most famous communist dictators that ruled Cuba from 1959 to 2008 and made
Cuba the first communist country in the Western hemisphere. Castro is most known for his time in
power where the relations between Cuba and the U.S. were completely severed, which caused a
complete trade embargo between the two countries and almost resulted in nuclear war during the
Cuban Missile Crisis. Some scholars believe that Castro always sought out good relations with the
U.S, but it was through U.S. aggression that Castro was radicalized into communism and allied with
the Soviet Union whereas the other position held by scholars believe that Castro always planned to
sever relations with the U.S. in order to nationalize the Cuban economy. ... Show more content on

However, there is proof that this is false because in 1953, which were the early years of the Cuban
Revolution, Castro made a speech called History Will Absolve Me, which shows that when Castro was
a political prisoner he carried the teachings of Marxism and Jose Mari everywhere and believed that
the people of the revolution were the workers and peasants that were exploited by the United States.
Also, in Castro s speech History Will Absolve Me, Castro already developed and laid down five
revolutionary principles that called for the nationalization of the Cuban economy, which shows that
Castro s writings in 1953 matched his writings later on about his formative years. This shows that in
the early stages of the Cuban revolution that Castro s ideological beliefs of nationalism found in
Marxism and Jose Marti, match the writings in his later life about his formative years where Castro

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Interest Based Finance
Introduction of mode of financing
Islamic banks use a number of non interest based finance modes. The use of a mode is dependent on
the nature, purpose and size of transactions. In selecting the modes, it is very much the know how and
knowledge of the Islamic banker which comes into play. These modes could be classified as debt type
instruments, quasi debt type Instruments, profit and loss sharing or hybrid instruments.
Debt type instruments involve Murabahah, Salam, Istisna a, Tawarruq and Qard Hasan. Murabahah is
a particular kind of sale, where the seller expressly mentions the cost he has incurred on the
commodities to be sold and sells it to another person by adding some profit or mark up thereon which

In the context of business, it refers to a joint enterprise in which partners (or parties) to the enterprise
share the profit and loss ratio of the enterprise. Musharakah has far reaching implications for Islamic
banking and finance in the modern context and providing excellent alternative to the interest based
economy.
In a Musharakah, the party investing the capital shares equally in both the profit and loss ratio, which
is different from an interest based system where the upside is limited while the downside is very
nearly non existent.
Basic Rules of Musharakah
1. Profit distribution
The ratio of profit for each partner must be determined in proportion to the actual profit arises to the
business and not in proportion to the capital invested by him. For example if it is agreed between them

Essay on Charles W. Chestnutt’s The Conjure Woman
Charles W. Chestnutt s The Conjure Woman
The first half of Charles W. Chestnutt s The Conjure Woman begins with the interaction between a
Northern white male and the conventional portrayal of a slave. In the novel an old ex plantation slave,
Julius, recounts stories that he says he heard as a child. The audience of the stories is the white
Northern male, who is the narrator of the story, and his sickly wife, Annie. The stories are told for
many purposes but my favorite reason behind the telling of the tales is Julius attempt and in most
cases achievement to acquire several things by this sly action.
From the time that Julian the slave meets John, the Northerner and narrator, the stories begin to roll off
his tongue. Julian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the stories where Julius is able to get something he desires is the one of Po Sandy. The drastic
love story and conjuring magic are just enough to distract the couple from perceiving what is
occurring. Julian tells of how two slaves are in love with one another, Sandy and Tenie, but Sandy is
passed around to different plantations because of his great work. Tenie decides that to keep them
together she can turn him into a tree. He becomes a tree but one day Tenie is away in town taking care
of someone and the tree is cut down to make the past owner s wife. The rumor began that one is able
to hear moans from the lumber in the newly built kitchen. It ends up that Tenie dies on the floor of the
kitchen and the narrator, John, believes that the story is unbelievable while Annie seems to be worried
about the outcome of the black couples love. The whole story is initiated with the narrator saying he is
going to make the old schoolyard into the kitchen. Julian then chimes in that it is a bad idea because it
is haunted and then it shows immediately following the story Julian is holding church meetings in the
supposed haunted schoolhouse that no one should be alone in.

Hades. The other ten Gods and Goddesses are the ones that are not well known as the big three. The
Ancient Greeks used the big three Gods to explain the weather, ocean, and death work. This paper
describes the stories of the lesser known gods and goddesses. Dionysus Dionysus is the Greek god of
Wine. Dionysus was not a god when he was first created he was a mere mortal demigod which is half

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Swot
Strengths One of CanGo s major strengths is that roughly 80 percent of their sales come from Just In
Time (JIT) inventory ( Financial Information, n.d.). Having such a high percentage of their sales
coming from JIT inventory allows CanGo to keep their overhead expenses low while still ensuring
their products are still available. One of the ways that this lowers their overhead is by reducing the
warehouse space needed. Since most of the inventory arrives just in time to be shipped, there is no
need to have a place to store it. Keeping their JIT inventory at roughly 80 percent also helps CanGo to
serve their customers faster and more efficiently by giving them more control over the manufacturing
process. This control makes it easier to quickly respond to any changes in the customer s needs
(Conrad, n.d.). Another one of their strengths is that they have positive sales for all their divisions. The
assumptions statement on their financial statement says that their online book sales division is their
only profitable division. However, their financial statements show that their MP3/CD/DVD division
had a 233.3 percent increase from to 2008 to 2009 with an additional 8 million dollars in inventory left
over, while the Books division only had a 114.3 percent increase over the same time frame. Since
CanGo purchased WebJouster in the beginning of 2009, there is no comparative data for their Online

Jeffersonian Democracy
Two cities that are at war with each other are found in every city, according to Plato. He wrote this
statement in his piece the Republic. Plato points out that every city has conflicting ideologies of
government and in our debate, those ideologies are democratic versus undemocratic. Ever since the
creation of the United States Constitution, there has been conflict over our government. The
Constitution created a republic, where the government was based on consent of the governed, and
power was given to the representatives of the people. According to ideas from the seminar and
readings, human beings have a responsibility to educate themselves, the more democratic system has
served the country well, and the question of a constitutional convention has been left, in a way,
unanswered. Those in a community or society have a responsibility to be educated in order to be a part
of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The system in place is more democratic, but as spoken about throughout the seminar, the system
resembles more of a republic than a democracy. Citizens do elect officials to represent their beliefs
and values, but once in office these officials are allowed to choose whatever options they may.
Throughout the course of history, strides have been made to expand the democratic side to our
government. As discussed in the seminar, tradition and many acts have added to the democratic ideas
in the current government system. The Jeffersonian democracy and Jacksonian democracy were some
of the first periods of time when democratic ideas truly began to expand in the government of the
United States. Over the previous hundred years, the federal government s power has exploded (as
stated by Mr. Engels), yet our government still is considered to be democratic, even though power
relies more in the government versus the people. Our government system relies on its democratic
ideals, but it is not fully

Many opportunities for advancement revolve around communication skills and cover letters. Ms.
Moret informed me that communication is a vital factor in determining whether a person will get a
promotion or raise. She stated that cover letters and communication with people in higher positions is
vital because it shows that a person is ambitious and willing to work. Furthermore, as a graduate
student, she is constantly having to communicate with individuals from, her own program, as well as
with her students. She is constantly sending emails, creating lesson plans and media agendas, as well
as writing papers and discussions posts. Written communication is a large component of being a
English graduate student because the majority of her classes are online. So, when she needs assistance
or further instructions on an assignment, she would email her instructor or when she has group

that we wanted to gain the most value out of this project. We first sat down and decided our approach

User Experience
We found that as we defined the use cases we began immediately thinking about how the use cases
would look as a user interface and user experience. The user experience is an important piece to the
overall puzzle of creating software. According to blog writer Dmitry Fadeyev a good user interface
needs to be clear, concise, familiar, responsive, consistent, attractive, efficient, and forgiving
(Fadeyev, 2009). When we set out to come up with a mocked user interface we talked about what
items would make these graphics easy to understand. As well what would make them pop on the page
or whatever would display them. For this we came up with a decent mocked set of graphics in html to
emulate what the user would see in the interface for the application. This set of mocked up graphics
would prove to be attractive, consistent, and even familiar. The other items on the list such as
responsiveness, efficiency, and forgiveness would have to be realized after the actual development
itself was accomplished.
The screen shots in Appendix E clearly show the basic principals we attempted to mock/create. We

Whole Foods Market ( Wfm ) Essay
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is a leading natural and organic food supermarket founded in Austin,
Texas by four local business people: John Mackey and Renee Lawson Hardy, owners of Safer Way
Natural Foods, and Craig Weller and Mark Skiles, owners of Clarksville Natural Grocery. WFM
opened its first store in 1980, they staffed their first store with only 19 workers, the store was an
immediate success partly because at the time there were less than half a dozen organic stores in the
entire country. The original WFM store opened on September in 1980 after Safer Way and Clarksville
Natural Foods partnered, the 10,500 square feet location was quite larger than the standard health food
store of the 80 s. The business had its first hiccup a year after they opened their doors, their entire
inventory was lost and most of the equipment was damaged by a historic flood that devastated the city
of Austin. The owners did not have insurance but they were able to quickly get back on their feet due
to the volunteered help of neighbors and customers as well as the help of creditors, vendors, and
investors who provided breathing room for them. The store reopened just after 28 days of the flood.
The expansion of the business happened quickly in the late 80 s. New locations appeared in Houston
and Dallas, then New Orleans. In 1989, WFM expanded to the West Coast and opened a store in Palo
Alto, CA. WFM started acquiring several different natural foods chains such as Wellspring Grocery of

Hildegard Of Bingen Research Papers
Dr. Fassler s lecture on Hildegard was absolutely fascinating to me. I had never heard of the Cosmic
Egg, so I was obviously perplexed by the entire idea of it as well as the link between cosmology, faith,
and art.
Hildegard of Bingen brings science, theology, art, and music together in a digital display. Her way of
thinking about everything not as flat, but as dome ified, revolutionized many aspects of faith and
education. Dr. Fassler s team is working on Hildegard s thought of taking a flat image, and turning it
into a movable, 3 D image. Dr. Fassler also transcribed some of Hildegard s music and had vocal

Queen Elizabeth was born on September 7, in 1533 to a royal couple by the name of Henry VIII and
Anne Boleyn. She pertained a strong personality and strong political skills in overlooking marriage
proposals and intensely flirting with many available suitors. She reigned over England without a king
or children (Britannia: Elizabeth 1). Her father was known for the execution of his wives. The king
had announced that any daughter would be illegitimate to the line of succession because his upcoming
sons would be highly favorable to the throne (Thomas, Heather). Anne Boleyn was killed by the king
for not providing him with a son, but a daughter who would live to be a legend of English times
(Thomas, Heather).

Whether this was true or not, Elizabeth was arrested and put in prison. She was moved around to
different prisons for a little over a year. However, when Queen Mary I started to become ill, her
husband, Philip of Spain, called Elizabeth out of prison to develop a friendship with her, since she
would take the throne when Queen Mary I would die (Putatunda, Rita).
According to Green, this coronation to the throne took place on January 15, 1559. The new queen
started to take advantage of all the new opportunities. She started horseback riding more. She also
took up hunting and hawking and enjoyed watching jousts and theatre (Green, Robert 53). Elizabeth
was also strong in her Catholic beliefs. Heather Thomas writes that she reestablished a Protestant
Church and became the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, which was to please those
attending (Thomas, Heather). Britannica states that she was a Conservative Protestant. She liked
traditional style of worship and did not believe in executing people for their religious beliefs
(Britannia Encyclopedia Elizabeth I). Marriage proposals became a daily routine. Regard her beliefs
for the matrimony; she used the proposals to frighten enemies or to even draw them in. However, she
came close to marriage twice in her reign (Putatunda, Rita). One of which was a near proposal with

Antiseptic Diffusion
Antiseptics play an important role in preventing microbial growth and killing microorganisms. They
are used in many fields such as healthcare fields and hospitals as agents to prevent infections. To
observe the effectiveness of disinfectants and antiseptics on certain organisms you would use the
Kirby Bauer. The Kirby Bauer is used as disk diffusion method as seen in Figures 1 and 2. This
experiment used filter discs that were immersed in the antiseptics and were placed on the Tryptic soy
agar plate containing the organism to test the antibiotic susceptibility. This test is used to discover
what antiseptics should be used to treat infections. The zone of inhibition is when bacteria who are

This experiment enabled the class to test whether if antiseptics are effective in reducing the number if
bacteria that are on your fingers. In this experiment, some people generated a lab where they soaked,
washed, or scrubbed their thumb. As seen in Figure 2, people who did not wash their thumbs in the
beginning of the experiment had a high number of bacterial colonies grown on the agar plate. In the
after column, this showed that there was a little to none number of bacterial colonies that after the
thumb was soaked with the antiseptic. In the figure, again the people who did not wash their thumb
had a high number of bacterial colonies grown on the plate. As seen in Figure 2, people who washed
and scrubbed their thumbs with the antiseptics had little to none bacterial colonies grown on the agar
plate. In Figure 3, my partner and I designed an experiment to evaluate the effectiveness of antiseptics.
We did not wash the thumb before placing in the plate and we saw 23 bacterial colonies grown on the
plate. Then we soaked the thumb with 70% Ethanol and saw that there were no bacterial colonies,
proving that antiseptics played a major role inhibiting growth of bacteria or killing

Analysis Of R.tolkien And Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Inspiration is a word and an action which occurs frequently in literature. Sometimes it s strange what
can inspire someone, or how vastly different people can be inspired by the same thing. Equally
remarkable is how someone utilizes the inspiration compared to others and how inspiration can
bestow the drive that enables ordinary people to rise above and achieve the seemingly impossible.
Elias Lönnrot s Kalevala transcends being a simple story by inspiring not only the Finns, but writers
J.R.R.Tolkien and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow as well. They were highly influenced and made their
goals and overall actions realized through this inspiration. They all have, if anything, the Kalevala in
common and that is a thing of amazement, that a people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another threat that caused the Finn s oppression to spread was the lack of the Finns language being
written or used outside of Finland. Unlike its neighboring Nordic countries, the base of the Finnish
language is completely different, so instead of other countries learning the Finn s language, they
forced the Finns to learn and adopt theirs.
The Kalevala was originally an epic from older times, passed by word of mouth of the countrymen
deep inside the Finnish lands. When Lönrrot started to piece together the words of the Kalevala, he
also started to piece together Finland s identity. Without the Kalevala, it is highly unlikely the fight for
their independence would ve occurred or transpired with such ferocity. With each word and meter
written, the Finn s culture seemed to come alive. It gave a voice that the Finn s were dying to have
heard. (Cheek)
Finally the Finnish people had a voice that could and would not be silenced. This was their chance to
show that they were individuals. The Kalevala sparked a renaissance of writing and inspiration for the
Finns, not to mention showcasing its multiple interpretations from its original form as an epic.
(Alphonso) This showed how oral tradition and modern literature can blend to not only honor the past,
but also pioneer the future all the while remaining interesting and timelessly engaging for the present.
With the help of the Kalevala (Crawford), the Finn s realized what their language

The Future Of Natural Gas And Crude Oil
The Future of Natural Gas and Crude Oil
Throughout history, as well as present day, the usage of natural gas has played an immense role in our
everyday life. However, over recent decades, the extraction and usage of natural gas has become a
more frequent topic of debate. Even though extraction of natural gas and crude oil has been proven to
boost the global economy, people still question weather these methods of extraction will ultimately
destroy our planet. There is an abundance unconventional and conventional reservoirs of oil and gas
under the surface, each with the potential to increase the production of both resources vastly.
Advancements in engineering, such as hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling, have allowed us to
take advantage of all aspects of these varying reservoirs. With this impending influx of resources,
many regions will see an increase in production and consumption. Throughout this paper, we will
discuss the current methods of extraction, the uses of natural gas both past and present, and the US
export ban of crude oil. Finally, after reviewing the reasons behind the current low prices on energy,
we can make projections for the future of natural gas.
Shale production and fracking methods have opened a whole world to the oil and gas industry. Just
like the nuclear power, oil and shale gas are being used in wide varieties such as: vehicles and energy.
Furthermore; natural gas and oil are used in a wider range than nuclear power. We need more

Causes And Differences Of Medieval Society In Modern Society
Modern society is inarguably different from medieval communities, quite frankly it would be
terrifying if they were exactly the same. Contemporary culture, in general, is not wholeheartedly
focused on the journey to salvation/ religious causes as was more common in medieval communities.
Communication, technology and education have broadened the scope of human activity and
opportunities. As far as declining religion and social hierarchy, it remains debatable whether it is a
cause or effect of modern technology. Though because humans are creatures of habit and conservative
as far as change, religious tradition and teachings remain embedded in many communities. Despite
similarities based on tradition and inherited values, modern society differs in driving forces and
religious prevalence due to a developed and educated environment.
One of the most obvious differences between the two time periods is the presence of a social
hierarchy. Though it would be naive to say that modern society flourishes with equality and
opportunity for all, equality is at least somewhat attempted by many societies. Medieval communities
justified opportunity difference with what they called the feudal system. This dictated education and
position in regard to other people. Most medieval people believed that God dictated a person position
in society and that is where they were meant to stay, as opposed to the modern idea of moving up
based on merit (or connections). As far as modern people, there is

The Use Of Use Of Advertisements On Advertising
The Use of Animals in Rhetorical Advertising
The use of an owl to sell glasses is perhaps an influence to grab people s attention. Many ads today
use animals, and as a result intrigue people to obtain products that companies are demonstrating in
their ads. Moreover, the America s Best ad uses one fact, the $69.95 price, but supports it with
evidence to impress people about their glasses and how the company constructs them. The current
television advertisement is depicting an owl promoting America s Best glasses to a lady, which
conveys the use of rhetoric in prosperous ads. This advertisement portrays the idea of shopping at
America s Best for eyeglasses. First of all, an owl is perched on the back of a park bench, adjacent to a
lady. In addition, the owl s attire includes his eyeglasses from America s Best , while the lady is
wearing glasses from another place. The owl turns to the woman and says You know you paid too
much for those glasses? . Then, the woman responds Who? . As the conversation continues, the owl
keeps ranting about how America s Best has a deal for two pairs of glasses for $69.95 and a free eye
exam included. Throughout the entire ad, the woman teases the owl about the deal that America s Best
is offering by saying who repeatedly. Near the conclusion of the ad, the owl catches on to the woman s
tactics and he gets frustrated with her habitual use of the question who? . The ad targets people that
wear glasses, since the advertisement

Greek Architecture
The Greek culture has had a huge impact on the history of the world. There is something Greek in
almost everything, especially in the world s architecture. Greece no longer had one king, so they
focused on building temples for their gods. Architecture began small and plain but evolved into
impressive pieces of art. As time passed from the Archaic period to the Hellenistic period, the people
of Greece developed a type of formula for their buildings and their pieces of art. In Ancient Greece,
religion dominated their life, so it is understandable that their architecture would be dominated by
their religion. Before Greece became many different city states, they had kings, and they would build

They didn t want a column in the middle because than you would have to walk around the column to
get into the temple. The most common temples would be called hexastyle because it would have six
columns in the front. If there was four columns across then it would be called tetrastyle or eight across
would be called octastyle. Another way to classify a temple is how the columns are distributed. When
a temple only has a row of columns on the front and has end walls, it is called in antis. If the temple
has a row of columns on the front with no end walls, it is called prostyle. If a temple has a front and
back portico with columns, it is called amphiprostyle. The most famous Greek temples would be
considered to be peripteral, meaning that it has columns all the way around the building. The Greeks
had a certain formula on how many columns would go on each side of a peripertal temple. They
would take the number of columns in the front portico and multiply it by two and add one. If your
temple was hexastyle and peripertal, than there would be thirteen columns on each side ( 6+6+1= 13).
The Greeks had developed a type of formula when it came to the construction of a temple. There is not
a major difference in architecture between the Archaic period and the Classical period. During the
Archaic period they began to use stone instead of wood. Some of the most preserved remains

How Girls They Fall For Jerks Analysis
Throughout the course of professor Lowenkrons English 1013 class, we have analyzed many
examples of success. We concluded in the first essay that though success is subjective, there are
objective keys to success that each source used to achieve it. In the second essay, we studied the career
of the successful alternative rock band, Pearl Jam and the different ways they achieved and maintained
their success. In this last essay, we are going to focus on what it means to be part of a community of
successful people. A successful community benefits an individual in two ways. They help by evolving

David Wong teaches us how to stand back up after getting punched in the face with failure. In his
article, he uses the stereotypical nice guy who wants to get the girl, but ends up getting friend zoned.
The girl ends up falling for the jerk, leaving the nice guy upset and distraught. Instead of having
sympathy for the nice guy, Wong takes a different approach. In fact, he says, Don t complain about
how girls fall for jerks; they fall for those jerks because those jerks have other things they can offer.
The moral of the story is that we are what we produce. In the cause of the nice guy, all that he
produced was that, he was in fact, a nice guy. There are thousands of nice guys in the world. People
want something different. Rejection is inevitable during the process of success. Every source I have
mentioned, have experienced rejection in one way or another. Mark Cuban was fired from his job,
David Wong faced rejection for 13 years before he made the New York Times Best Seller List, Pearl
Jam lost their battle against Ticketmaster, and the Tortious was made fun of by the Hare. Though their

Society is defined as people living together within a community that shares customs. Many pioneers
of sociology have conducted research on different areas of this phenomena, however this paper will
focus solely on the view of four sociologists namely; Gerhard Lenski, Karl Marx, Max Weber, and
Emile Durkheim. We begin by reviewing the works of Lenski, where his focus was on how society

explains with the introduction or adoption of new technology caused society entire way of life to

where simple tools such as; knife made of stone, spears, arrows, etc. are used in the acquiring or

usually to wonder from place to place searching for food. Basically, everyone is equal and they all live

Reflection About Relationships
In the two years we have been together, my boyfriend, Andy, and I never talked about what we
considered cheating to be. This past July, I found out that he had spent the night in his car with one of
my closests friends, and his ex girlfriend. I had told him in the past that I was not comfortable with
him being out with a girl late at night, but never fully elaborated on it. Realizing that he had done
something I wasn t comfortable with, he told me he was up late playing Halo, and kept his outing from
me for almost a month. Since we had never laid our boundaries, there were no boundaries to break.
Personally, I view cheating as doing something you would not tell your significant other about, but he
sees it as having intimate relations with someone other than your significant other. He saw it as him
doing something wrong and apologized for it, but felt that it was nowhere near cheating. Our
disagreement stems from the differences between our beliefs and expectations for each other.
In our relationship, my boyfriend had never done anything for me to lack a sense of trust. He let me
know where he was, even when I did not want to know, and always tried his best to keep in contact
with me. When it came to me spending time with the opposite sex, he was always comfortable with
the idea which is why he thought I felt the same. He had complete trust in me and never minded the
time or the place. Growing up, his father had an intimate relationship with another woman, so to him,

The Wright Brothers -inventing The First Plane

Indiana and Orville Wright was born on August 19, 1871 in Dayton, Ohio to Milton Wright and Susan
Catherine Koerner. They had two older brothers, Reuchlin and Lorin, and a younger sister Katharine
who happened to share a birthday with Wilbur. Their father was a minister, in the Church of the
United Brethren in Christ, and spent a lot of time traveling for the church. During one of his trips their
father found a small rubber band powered toy helicopter made of paper, bamboo, and cork. It was
modeled after the work of Alphonse Pe`naud; a French aeronautical pioneer. This was the beginning of
their fascination with aeronautics. In 1878, Milton became a Bishop in the church and moved the
family to Iowa. Neither of the Wright brothers received a high school diploma. Wilbur had enough
credits to graduate, but the family moved back to Dayton, Ohio during his senior year. Orville dropped
out in the eleventh grade, and went on to design and build his own printing press made from a broken
tombstone and buggy parts. With Wilbur as the editor, the two brothers started their own weekly paper

Relationship Between Britain And The Colonies
Though both are independent nations, the United Kingdom and the United States now share a close
bond, and have even been allies during WWI and WWII in the 20th century. But when the colonies of
the United States were under British rule, the relations between the Colonies and Britain were not so
friendly. The views on government and taxation between the two became radically different and
created a large disagreement between the American Patriots and those loyal to Britain. Cracks began
to form in the relationship between Britain and the Colonies, and the differences between the two
would inevitably result in the American Revolution. Between 1754 and 1763, Britain and French were
involved in the French and Indian War, which was a territorial dispute between Britain and France.
With the help of the British American colonists, Britain was able to maintain and increase its borders
in America, but the funds needed to support the war caused Britain to go into debt ( French and Indian
War/Seven Years War 1754 1763 1). Not willing to tax its own citizens any further, Britain decided to
tax the American colonies more in order to generate revenue. Before the war, American colonists were
paying a fraction of the taxes than those living in Britain, and even after the imposed taxes, the
average American would pay less taxes than the average Englishman ( British Acts on Colonial
America 1).

It is a general belief of parenting and caretaking that we must protect children from all harm and every
negative circumstance no matter how naturally occurring from every scraped knee or every mean
word said by classmates. Many children in America have parents that cater to their every need, give
them constant attention, and fill their days with structured activity. This, of course, is not the worst
thing you can do for a young child, but as they get older and the long term effects become clearer; this
type of parenting can cause serious problems for their children s futures. Perhaps even keep children
from growing into successful adults and functioning members of society. There comes a point in
everyone s life when we no longer have our parents or caretakers to hold our hand through the trials of
life, and everyone should be moderately prepared for that point. For the sake of this essay, I am

for little money as well, saving the company money and time. This does not happen in many countries
as it is against the law for people, depending on their age, to work for too many hours in one day and
for every so many hours they have to have a break of some form. Another reason as to why we get so
many imports from Asia could be because they are the closest continent to Australia and hence don t
have to pay as much for transport. On the other hand, we do not get any products from the countries in
Africa. This would be partly because they are in debt to other countries and because in order to get
their products to Australia not only do they have to pay for transport, but also for tariffs in order to get
their products into Australia; this is an import tax. On top of this, they are becoming even more
bankrupt due to the digital divide, where other rich countries can afford to buy new technology and
equipment, countries in Africa cannot, putting them even further behind as other countries

The Theme Of Forgiveness In The Power Of One Peekay
Forgiveness can have different reason for forgiving and different ways it would effect a person. There
is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving someone for
harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the impact can be
big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of One Peekay and a few others forgive people
for harming them or just insulting them. Peekay is the one who forgives people most often. Peekay
was still able to forgive the Judge after he wronged him multiple times. He still had it in his heart to
do so. Peekay also would forgive the Judge because he realized that what the Judge had done to him
had improved him physically and mentally. Even though Peekay was able to forgive people that didn t
mean he was able to forget the things they had done to him. He was still hurt by the way they treated
him. In The Power of One, Bryce Courtenay uses the theme of forgiveness to demonstrate how Peekay
can forgive after many hardships, how Peekay can forgive someone because the way they wronged
him helped him later in life, and how forgiving doesn t always mean forgetting. Courtenay expresses
the theme of forgiveness by using Peekay as an example of how someone can forgive even after many
hardships. Throughout the story Peekay is continuously having struggles with bullies, losing people,
and trying to start his boxing career. The person who caused him the most amount of pain was also the

Descriptive Essay On Cowboys Play
Don t be surprised if u see #57 flying around the field always around the ball making tackles on
Thursday. Wilson is a tackling machine who has a nose for the football. Backup behind Sean Lee on
Will linebacker spot. He s been compared to last year s fourth round pick Anthony Hitchens, but a
better version of Hitchens (which is no knock to Hitchens because he s a good player.) Athletic and
versatile player who uses his length extremely well to avoid blocks off his body at certain angles that
way he can flow towards the ball without getting hung up on blocks. These are what you call run and
chase linebackers. Terrific sure tackler. I m excited to watch him play because I know how hard he
will work to show the reason why Cowboys drafted him in the fourth round. This kid is the real deal ...

Cowboys have thrown a lot at him in Training Camp. One play he s lineup at left cornerback, the
second play he s lined up at as the right cornerback, third play he s lined up as nickel cornerback,
fourth play he s lined up at free safety spot in base defense, and the fifth play he s lined up as a
linebacker who covers the tight end. Whew that s a lot for a rookie who s just now coming into NFL
yet alone hasn t played down of football in NFL yet. But to his credit he s so smart and versatile that
he s able to take whatever the coaching staff dishes out to him. Long arms cornerback who has speed,
athleticism, and quickness. Jones can cover athletic tight ends because of his size, and speed as well as
playing tight man coverage while being able to stay with his man. What I will be looking for during
game is how well he will be able to cover these NFL wide receivers. If he gets beat on a play does he
mail it in and continue to get beat? Or does he shake it off and goes makes a play the next time he s
targeted. If I was a betting man I would go with the lateral on what Jones

  • 2. International Students Should Be Taught At A University International students who come from different parts of the world to study with later hopes of finding a job, take loans to help pay for education ending up in large debts. This sadly is a harsh reality for students who come as international students into the United States. International students are not permitted to work off campus while studying at a university. According to the U.S. Citizenship Immigration Services, visas granted to foreign students are prohibited to any execution of a job (Working). This can include any work ranging from working in motels and liquor stores to in some cases, on campus. Inability to abide by these rules can result in deportation or can affect the student visa and further permissions for a work visa and a green card. Making it incapable for international students to work off campus, builds a financial burden on these students as well as their parents back home. Not only are these students burdened with thousands of dollars of debt, the currency exchange rate makes it tougher for these students to pay for their tuitions, housing, and food, without earning it in American dollars. Some students are fortunate enough to find and do jobs on campus, but only small number of students admitted in United States universities are hired for on campus and the availability is quite low in comparison to a number of international students. This makes it difficult for international students to get an on campus job and help pay their tuitions, as well as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A home provides roots, identity, and a sense of belonging and a place of emotional wellbeing. Homelessness is about the loss of all of these. It is an isolating and destructive experience and homeless people are some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded in our society. After years of declining trends, 2010 marked the turning point when all forms of homelessness began to rise. However, it is likely that homelessness will increase yet further, as the delayed effects of the economic downturn, cuts to housing benefit and other reforms all start to bite. A survey of people experiencing homelessness found that over 70 per cent were suffering from a physical health problem. This included respiratory problems, joint and muscle problems and stomach problems. There are many reasons why a person becomes homeless lack of affordable housing, loss of a job, divorce, illness, substance abuse, domestic abuse. One of the first steps you can take toward helping the homeless is trying to understand how they got there in the first place. Homeless people can be affected by various situations such as health and mental issues, family issues and having no job. • 8. Farm As An Allegory In Animal Farm By George Orwell Animal Farm can be an allegory for any communist revolution and subsequent collapse (if taken a little more generally), but is specifically drawing from the Russian revolutions of 1917. Many of the characters are direct parallels to members of the communist regime, and others are representatives of portions of the population. Old Major represents two different people, both Marx and Lenin. As Marx, he introduces the principles of communism to the animals. As Lenin, he puts the revolution in motion. He tells them that they should rebel, and soon. Orwell is largely positive in his portrayal of the character, he liked Marxism theoretically, believing that the execution was flawed. In the context of the book, however, Old Major, as the instigator, held much of the blame for the eventual degradation of the society. But he was eventually forgotten as the farm s condition worsened, so he started the snowball rolling, but failed to see that it would get bigger and more destructive as it rolled down the hill. Mr. Jones is Czar Nicholas the II of Russia, the last Czar. He was cruel, and uninterested in the day to day running of the farm, preferring to leave the job to hired hands, who were just as lazy as Jones. Nicholas the II wasn t very lazy. It s only around seventy five degrees, but that doesn t falter our excitement for the beach. The sun shines through the clouds as we head down to pick a spot. Having such a high percentage of their sales coming from JIT inventory allows CanGo to keep their overhead expenses low while still ensuring their products are still available. One of the ways that this lowers their overhead is by reducing the warehouse space needed. Since most of the inventory arrives just in time to be shipped, there is no need to have a place to store it. Keeping their JIT inventory at roughly 80 percent also helps CanGo to serve their customers faster and more efficiently by giving them more control over the manufacturing process. This control makes it easier to quickly respond to any changes in the customer s needs (Conrad, n.d.). Another one of their strengths is that they have positive sales for all their divisions. • 24. Analysis Of R.tolkien And Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Inspiration is a word and an action which occurs frequently in literature. Sometimes it s strange what can inspire someone, or how vastly different people can be inspired by the same thing. Equally remarkable is how someone utilizes the inspiration compared to others and how inspiration can bestow the drive that enables ordinary people to rise above and achieve the seemingly impossible. Elias Lönnrot s Kalevala transcends being a simple story by inspiring not only the Finns, but writers J.R.R.Tolkien and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow as well. They were highly influenced and made their goals and overall actions realized through this inspiration. Another threat that caused the Finn s oppression to spread was the lack of the Finns language being written or used outside of Finland. Unlike its neighboring Nordic countries, the base of the Finnish language is completely different, so instead of other countries learning the Finn s language, they forced the Finns to learn and adopt theirs. The Kalevala was originally an epic from older times, passed by word of mouth of the countrymen deep inside the Finnish lands. When Lönrrot started to piece together the words of the Kalevala, he also started to piece together Finland s identity. Without the Kalevala, it is highly unlikely the fight for their independence would ve occurred or transpired with such ferocity. With each word and meter written, the Finn s culture seemed to come alive. It gave a voice that the Finn s were dying to have heard. (Cheek) Finally the Finnish people had a voice that could and would not be silenced. This was their chance to show that they were individuals. The Kalevala sparked a renaissance of writing and inspiration for the Finns, not to mention showcasing its multiple interpretations from its original form as an epic. (Alphonso) This showed how oral tradition and modern literature can blend to not only honor the past, but also pioneer the future all the while remaining interesting and timelessly engaging for the present. The Future Of Natural Gas And Crude Oil The Future of Natural Gas and Crude Oil Throughout history, as well as present day, the usage of natural gas has played an immense role in our everyday life. However, over recent decades, the extraction and usage of natural gas has become a more frequent topic of debate. Even though extraction of natural gas and crude oil has been proven to boost the global economy, people still question weather these methods of extraction will ultimately destroy our planet. There is an abundance unconventional and conventional reservoirs of oil and gas under the surface, each with the potential to increase the production of both resources vastly. Advancements in engineering, such as hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling, have allowed us to take advantage of all aspects of these varying reservoirs. With this impending influx of resources, many regions will see an increase in production and consumption. Throughout this paper, we will discuss the current methods of extraction, the uses of natural gas both past and present, and the US export ban of crude oil. Finally, after reviewing the reasons behind the current low prices on energy, we can make projections for the future of natural gas. Shale production and fracking methods have opened a whole world to the oil and gas industry. Causes And Differences Of Medieval Society In Modern Society Modern society is inarguably different from medieval communities, quite frankly it would be terrifying if they were exactly the same. Contemporary culture, in general, is not wholeheartedly focused on the journey to salvation/ religious causes as was more common in medieval communities. Communication, technology and education have broadened the scope of human activity and opportunities. As far as declining religion and social hierarchy, it remains debatable whether it is a cause or effect of modern technology. Though because humans are creatures of habit and conservative as far as change, religious tradition and teachings remain embedded in many communities. Despite similarities based on tradition and inherited values, modern society differs in driving forces and religious prevalence due to a developed and educated environment. One of the most obvious differences between the two time periods is the presence of a social hierarchy. Though it would be naive to say that modern society flourishes with equality and opportunity for all, equality is at least somewhat attempted by many societies. Medieval communities justified opportunity difference with what they called the feudal system. This dictated education and position in regard to other people. Most medieval people believed that God dictated a person position in society and that is where they were meant to stay, as opposed to the modern idea of moving up based on merit (or connections). There is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving someone for harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the impact can be big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of One Peekay and a few others forgive people for harming them or just insulting them. Athletic and versatile player who uses his length extremely well to avoid blocks off his body at certain angles that way he can flow towards the ball without getting hung up on blocks. These are what you call run and chase linebackers. Terrific sure tackler. One play he s lineup at left cornerback, the second play he s lined up at as the right cornerback, third play he s lined up as nickel cornerback, fourth play he s lined up at free safety spot in base defense, and the fifth play he s lined up as a linebacker who covers the tight end. Whew that s a lot for a rookie who s just now coming into NFL yet alone hasn t played down of football in NFL yet. But to his credit he s so smart and versatile that he s able to take whatever the coaching staff dishes out to him. Long arms cornerback who has speed, athleticism, and quickness. Jones can cover athletic tight ends because of his size, and speed as well as playing tight man coverage while being able to stay with his man. What I will be looking for during game is how well he will be able to cover these NFL wide receivers. If he gets beat on a play does he mail it in and continue to get beat? Or does he shake it off and goes makes a play the next time he s targeted. If I was a betting man I would go with the lateral on what Jones ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
