Bolshevik And Menshevik Party Essay
Angered by the current status of the political system, the working class in early 20th century Russia was ready to fight
for a change. The Bolshevik party, a branch of the Russian Social Democratic Worker s Party (RSDWP) led by
Vladimir I. Lenin, rose to power through a series of revolutions, fighting for a societal evolution that would lead a
once capitalist Russia into a communistic political powerhouse. Two parties represented the left wing of the RDSWP,
both wanting similar changes. Both the Menshevik and Bolshevik parties desired a socialist society, though their
approaches to change the capitalistic society differed. The Menshevik party believed in a wide appeal; they thought
that their strength was in their numbers. Contrarily, the Bolsheviks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By World War 1, the Bolshevik party was the only political party in Russia to fight vocally to end the war, insisting
that it was dividing the working class and leading them to death. Due to this vocalization, the leaders of the
movement were arrested; Lenin had escaped from the arrests and moved to Switzerland, leaving behind a small core
group who supported the movement. On April 4, 1917, Lenin returned to Russia to give his April Thesis to Social
Democratic Parties. He pushed a new program, stating that it was time to start a socialist society before a bourgeois
government was permanent. Moreover, he established a tactical program to stir a revolution for a proletariat. Their
slogan, Peace, Land and Bread, highlighted the three areas the party believed were necessary for success, of which to
current government was failing to excel at. Particularly, the provisional government lacked an agrarian program, left
urban populations starving to help the war, and they, according to Lenin, were in need of a new offensive. Lenin
emphasized most that all power should be left with the soviets. As a result, on October 24 25, 1917, Lenin and the
Bolshevik party led Russian workers and peasants to overthrow the Provisional government and set up a soviet
government. The revolution resulted in peace on all fronts, and enabled the party to take over the

Solution Focused Brief Therapy Analysis

In the beginning session, clients are questioned about pre session change to initiate a discussion about current clues of
solution making and to inspire clients that change is likely (Lethem, 2002). According to Osborn (1997), solution
focused therapists reassure clients to tap into their internal resources and strengths. Several clients might not
recognize the strides that they are now taking to resolve their problem. The goal is for the therapist to lead the client
on the path of change; subsequently that the client can recognize the authority clients hold to change their
circumstances. SFBT adopt that the clients are the experts on their lives, not the therapist. For that reason, the
counselor assumes an ambassador mentality, permitting the clients to educate the therapist about themselves, and
permitting the clients to direct the treatment (Murphy, 2008). SFBT is swayed by post modern philosophy, such as
social constructionism. The therapeutic process and its results are understood as discussed among clients and
counselors (Guterman Leite, 2006; Strong Pyle, 2009). The social constructionist framework assists solution focused
therapists to sustain the ambassador mentality, since their belief that there

The Black Cat Thesis
The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe is a horror story about a man who loses everything he once had due to his alcohol
use/abuse. The story begins when the narrator confesses his love for animals. The narrator marries a woman and
introduces her to a black cat, named Pluto. The narrator begins to suffer from violent and uncontrollable mood
swings, caused from influence of alcohol. After coming home drunk one night the narrator lashes out at Pluto, he
quickly tries to grab the cat, only to be bitten. To get revenge the narrator pulls a knife from his pocket and cuts out
one of Pluto s eyes. He then goes on to blame this on the spirit of perverseness, which means rejecting what is good,
right, and/or proper. Meaning that the narrator believes that in his alcoholic haze, he is possessed and it is making him
wicked and corrupt. The narrator says the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrator even claims not to be crazy, but then he goes on to think and act in such a way that the reader would
label him as insane. Although Poe does not provide an explanation for the narrator s loss of sanity, Poe does hint that
madness might happen at any time to any person, just like how the narrator transforms from a gentle animal lover into
an evil killer. The narrator does address the fact that he is an alcoholic, But my disease grew upon me for what disease
is like Alcohol (Poe 46). Professor McMurran, a psychologist at the University of Nottingham, says that, Alcohol
reduces our ability to think straight, it narrows our focus of attention and gives us tunnel vision. If someone provokes
us while we re drunk, we don t take other factors into account, such as consequences, this can lead to violent reactions
from people who would usually shrug things off (Alcohol and Aggression). This would explain why the narrator in
The Black Cat would have had such violent mood swings which lead him to do the insane things that he

A Cult, The Power Hungry, And The Egomaniacs
Additionally, Tammy represents another portion of the class division, the leader of a cult, both of religion and
personality, standing over her followers and giving them orders to lay down their lives while never sacrificing her
own. Similar to the celebrities that influence their audience, the corrupt religious leaders that swindle their patrons, or
the politicians that send young adults to war but never leave the safety of their own homes, Tammy is a symbol of the
corrupt, the power hungry, and the egomaniacs. The camera follows the same sequence as before, craning over as the

The man straps his virtual reality googles back on, and is sitting in the passenger seat of the next racer, Jed Perfectus,
a man genetically engineered to be the perfect human in every way. Jed s car pulls into the frame, parking perfectly so
that the spray painted image of his own visage is directly in the camera s view. He climbs out of his car and
immediately strips down to his golden underwear, the camera tilting up from his legs to reveal an obvious bulge and a
perfect body as heavenly music plays. Jed is yet another warning, just as the film warns against corporatism and
virtual reality. When genetic engineering is capable of creating the perfect man, it is easy to divide society into
separate classes, those who are perfect and those who simply are not. However, his role in the film goes beyond
simple class division. Jed also represents the idea of toxic masculinity that has developed from the strict gender roles
that our society has develop. He grew up being told he was the perfect man, with the ideal masculine body, and has
grown to believe that is the role he must fulfill, or else he is a failure. His deep hatred for Frankenstein grows from

Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome Essay
Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome that was the condition spat in my face as the doctor came in to tell me what
was wrong with my child. But don t worry! Corrective surgery can come to the rescue and fix my child. Basically, my
child doesn t have a place in the world unless they fit the norms, and surgery is the only way to do so. Honestly? Fuck
that. The surgery is completely unnecessary because there aren t any serious medical implications, and would only
cause further harm; raising my child without a forced gender will allow for both freedom in gender development as
well as avoiding the trauma of incorrect gender assignment. These excruciatingly long past 24 hours since my baby
was born have been filled with doctors and nurses ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All I remember is asking myself, Why? Why did this happen to my child? How could this possibly happen? I snapped
out of my trance as soon as I heard the word surgery. He recommended corrective surgery to fix the baby s genitalia
so that I could raise my child as a normal girl. In that moment, I couldn t help all the questions spilling out of my
mouth. How bad was the deformity? Is the surgery obligatory? What are the potential repercussions of opting out of
the surgery?
The surgery makes it easier for your child to identify as either a boy or a girl because as of right now, it s neither. That
was it. The only real reason my child needed surgery was because of an arbitrary cosmetic requirement for classifying
genders. I was speechless, livid, and borderline aggressive. I told the doctor I needed to sleep and that I d think about
it the next morning, but truth of the matter is that my constant worrying is keeping me up all night. I did manage to
get a few hours of sleep last night. Broken and unrestful, but sleep nonetheless. The first thing I did this morning was
research the condition that my baby was diagnosed with. I discovered that because of defects in the androgen
receptor... the external genitalia of the affected XY individual are typically ambiguous at birth and the direction of sex
assignment of individuals with PAIS depends to some extent on the appearance of the external genitalia (Hines,
2004). I also learned that the fetus at one point was

Legal Research Of A Small Business With Roberto
Legal Research paper
1/ For starting a small business with Roberto, I strongly believe our business organization will be following to
Limited Liability company, LLC, which can be advantageous for providing protection to partners and investors. Both
of us have equal rights to manage and have agency to contract for the company. Because of having the first small
business together, our business organization do not allow for public offerings and stock sales that we can be easy to
control. Also, we have to find one of the best farm for giving the milk, egg, and others organic supplies to make our
products which means we need to sign a contract with them for every month.
2/ In my opinion, if we want to start this business, based on Georgia law, we would involve and be sued in trademark
infringement law by using the name and logo of another company. The trademark infringement is the using of another
s mark without authorization or permission of the trademark owner. Although they are not cheese package, they have
name and logo that look same with cheese package logo. Therefore, they are easy to cause customer to become
confused about the products. If we keep choosing their name and logo, we should buy franchise from their companies.
However, we will not start this business on this way. Instead of using name and logo of the laughing cow company,
we will choose our name and logo differently such as our name will be I dream of ice creams and the logo will be An

Waterbed Research Paper
The waterbed, a mattress full of water, but it s not just that it s much more. Well, it s not a lot a lot more it just is a
little more than just a water bed. Right now you might think the water bed is a boring invention and how could I get
enough information for this report but you might actually be surprised and impressed of what this invention is for and
does for other people and how it could affect people if this invention ( the water bed ) was never invented.
It has a kind of a long story, starting 3,000 years ago. According to legend, the first water bed was made of goat skin
and was made 3,000 years ago, but no one actually knows for sure. This is why it isn t long because if it was 3,000
years ago then it would have a long story, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You might think that the waterbed might not affect the world much if it wasn t invented, but it would actually affect
many people s lives. Well to start it would affect many people s lives because most people in hospitals that need back
pain treatment or have pressure ulcers might not have a place to actually get treatment for their problems. Then, they
would probably have body pain for a really long time. Well, it was helpful in a way for lots of people and in a way
effected everyone s lives because even the people that sold waterbed would be affected if the waterbed wasn t
invented because they might not even have a job for a living and probably be poor this very instant.
It is actually better than regular beds in my opinion. I mean it lasts longer, you could control the temperature, you
could fall asleep faster and with less ease I mean what else you want to know so you can buy one. It probably is in
fact better than a regular mattress bed. Both of these are good and have similarities that can make them both
convenient to buy but in the end the waterbed ends up winning depending in how you see it. Sometimes they can

Vertical Rocket Altimeter Experiment
The ratio seven to thirteen never gained any altitude, remaining at zero for every launch. They merely burned and
sputtered, then the ejection charge went off without ever getting off the ground. As a result, all of its values, mean,
median, mode, range, even standard deviation, are zeroes. This means that all values are therefore significant within
its set of values. The ratio ten to ten achieved liftoff for two of its three launches, though only one of them actually
escaped the guidance rod used to keep the rocket going straight up. The one that did not travel upward instead burned
and melted its way through its PVC casing. The data set s values, five feet, two feet, and zero feet, have no mode.
Their mean is two and one third feet with a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the chemical formula, 5 C12H22O11 + 48 KNO3 → 24 K2CO3 + 36 CO2 + 55 H2O+24 N2, the ratio of oxidizer
to fuel is 48:5 in moles, or 4852.8 grams of potassium nitrate to 1711.5 grams of sucrose, which simplify to 2.8 grams
of oxidizer per gram of fuel. This means that the potassium nitrate is used up 2.8 times faster than the sugar, therefore
requiring more potassium nitrate to sugar. None of the ratios tested have this exact proportion, in fact all of the ratios
have a smaller percentage of oxidizer than is advised, promoting the conclusion that the potassium nitrate is the
limiting reactant, running out first. The ratios simplify to as follows: 7:13 has 0.54 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel,
10:10 has a 1:1, and 13:7 being has 1.86 grams per gram of fuel. One would notice that as the ratio of oxidizer per
fuel increases, the launch height also increases. It can therefore be determined that as one gets closer to the ratio of
2.8:1, the engines serve more positively, proposing a direct correlation between the two. This serves an explanation as
to why the thirteen to seven ratio created the best results, whereas the other rockets created little to no

The Tradition Of The Century Viking Wars
1. Many of the Air Force s customs, traditions, and procedures are traceable to the earliest warriors. The dining in is
one such military tradition that has its roots in the distant past. The pre Christian Roman Legions probably began the
dining in tradition. Roman military commanders frequently held great feasts to honor individuals and military units.
These get togethers were victory celebrations where past feats were remembered and loot of new conquests paraded.
The second century Viking war lords stylized the format of the victory feast. With the exception of the lookout, or
watch, the entire clan attended these celebrations. Feats of strength and skill were performed to entertain the members
and guests. The leader took his place at the head of the table, with all others to his right and left in descending order of
rank.
2. The dining in custom was transplanted to ancient England by Roman and Viking warriors, and King Arthur s
Knights of the Round Table practiced a form of dining in in the sixth century. The tradition eventually spread to non
military groups, such as the Saxon nobles of the tenth century and the medieval monasteries. The monks, who
followed a more rigid regimen, had their form of dining in as an integral part of monastic life. The clergy spread the
custom to the academies and universities. The British officer corps, with many graduates of these centers of learning,
carried the tradition back to military units. The dining in became increasingly

Henry David Thoreau And Individualism
A significant philosopher of the pre Civil War era of the United States, Henry David Thoreau appeared to be above
the standard with his philosophically driven life style. He wrote detailed accounts of his life in his book titled Walden,
in which he expressed his desire to escape the confining pressures of human society. His second chapter lauded the
concepts of individualism and self sufficiency, yet he never took into account the potential harm of his mentality, for
it could hurt individuals as well as communities, and modern life simply cannot support his ideals. To begin, the main
points of Thoreau s essay must be analysed. Thoreau began by advocating a life that is simple and slow. This is
summarized by the phrase from his book, Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be two or three, and
not a hundred or a thousand. A philosophy such as this may be appealing, especially when one is overwhelmed by the
problems presented by society. However, maintaining this simplicity in a community context requires ignorance of the
needs and wants of other people. Many of society s complicated demands, such as tax payment and jury duty, are
necessary for the betterment of other citizen s lives. In his essay, Thoreau dismissed the importance of community
problems by claiming that they were a complete illusion, adding, Men say that a stitch in time saves nine, and so they
take a thousands stitches today to save nine tomorrow. As for work, we haven t any of any

Galletta (2012) discusses that semi structured interviews give space for further discussion and an in depth answer
from the interviewee. Eight midwives were purposively recruited from eight Mother and Child Health Centres in Oslo
and a smaller town in in another part of Norway. Although the study adopted this method it didn t allow for a true
representation of midwives views across Norway and it evidences a difference in the way the participants were
recruited therefore there was a degree of allocation bias as the midwives will clearly be working with different
population groups, pregnant women from a city and pregnant women from a small town. The paper does however
state that the recruitment process was carried out in that way to recruit midwives with different experiences and to
ensure diversity and socio economic statuses between the Mother and Child Health centres.
Data analysis that was undertaken was content analysis. Graneheim et al (2017) reports that qualitative content
analysis is a method that is used to analysis quantitative data. It is a method that focuses on the subject and the content
emphasises variation. The analysis was carried out in four various stages and direct quotes were used for participants
within the study allowing for what they said to be shown exactly what was said within the paper.

The Epidemic Of The Obesity Epidemic Essay
Introduction The World Health Organization (WHO) defines obesity as the excessive accumulation of fat that puts the
person s health at risk (Lenzi et al., 2015). The prevalence of obesity has increased worldwide over the past three
decades. According to Holtz (2016), obese people have outnumbered the undernourished, with the World Health
Organization estimating that 1.9 billion adults are overweight, out of which about 600 million are obese. Given the
recent trends, it is estimated that 1.12 billion people will be obese by 2030 (Grossschädl, 2014). According to a report
by the McKinsey Global Institute, 2014), the global impact of the obesity epidemic is estimated to be $20 trillion, or
2.8 percent of the global gross domestic product (GDP), which is on a par with the global impact from terrorism,
armed violence, smoking, and warfare. Setting the Context Presently, the toll of the epidemic on healthcare systems
alone is between 2 percent and seven percent of net healthcare spending in industrialized economies, excluding the
huge costs associated with the treatment of heart disease and type 2 diabetes that account for up to twenty percent of
healthcare costs (Bassuk Manson, 2008; Alosco et al., 2015). In addition to the costs to healthcare systems, obesity
undermines the productivity of employees, thereby undercutting corporate competitiveness. According to the
Australian Bureau of Statistics (2013), during the period between 2011 and 2012, 62.8 percent of Australians

Theme Of Innocence In To Kill A Mockingbird
In To Kill A Mockingbird, author Harper Lee studies the topics of perspective and childhood innocence. Written in
1960, Lee tells the story of Scout Finch and her older brother Jem as they mature during the Great Depression in
Maycomb County, Alabama. Scout is first shown to be an innocent and immature child, but as the story develops, her
innocent perspective changes to a new awareness of the oppression and injustice in her society. Arthur Boo Radley is
characterized as the childrens mysterious neighbor who never goes out of his house, which makes him a victim to
gossip and superstition by the people in Maycomb. The children believe the cruel rumors and therefore have a fearful
perspective of Boo, using him as an inspiration for their games ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scout and Jem start by being frightened by Boo because of the negative rumors they hear about him. Jem believes that
Boo is a monster and Scout describes him as malevolent phantom. It is shown that Scout and Jem do not understand
Boo by their imaginative stories and games inspired by him for childhood fun. As the story develops, the children s
obsession over seeing and communication with Boo becomes the recognition that Boo wants to be their friend by
leaving small and thoughtful gifts for them as communication. When the knothole in the tree where Boo leaves his
gifts becomes blocked, they realize that Boo is not a mysterious phantom, but a person oppressed by his brother, who
takes away his opportunity to communicate to the children. Although Boo s only way of communication to the
children is taken away, it is shown that he continues to watch over them when he covers Scout with a blanket without
her knowing to keep her warm and mends Jem s pants. These actions show that Boo is a respectable person and not
the monster they believe him to be. When Tom Robinson s trial happens, Scout and Jem begin to have a different
understanding of their neighbor. After the trial, Jem knows the racial injustice and prejudice in the people s actions,
which helps him realize the reasoning for how Boo lives. Jem says, I think I m beginning to understand something. I
think I m beginning to understand why Boo Radley s stayed shut up in the house all this time...It s because he wants
to stay inside (227). Jem shows that he understands that Boo does not want to come out of his house because he
knows the dangers of prejudice and hate in Maycomb. He makes the choice to stay inside so that he will not be in the

Elementary School Vs Middle School Research Paper
School is always extremely important in my town because it s a huge part of everybody s life. We have 3 schools but
2 of them are really competitors, elementary school and middle school. The only question is, which one is the best?
The first difference between my elementary and middle schools is the lunches. The lunches in elementary school
where short and the teachers didn t allow the kids to use forks. So, for example, if you wanted to eat their pancakes,
you needed to use a single spoon. However, in middle school you get to choose what you want to use (except for
knives) and choose what you want to eat. There is a buffet style lunch line for food and you don t have to eat exactly
what they make for lunch.
The next difference is P.E. Both schools have very similar classes for this but they are still different. For example you

Every student had computer lab and art. Art was just art there was really nothing special about it and computer lab
was just learning how to type. Which, as you can imagine, both got extremely boring after a semester. However, the
middle school has a multitude of different classes and you get to pick 2 that you want to take. For example, you can
take band, chorus, art, photo shop, horticulture, and a lot more.
Field day is the day at the end of the year where kids get to have fun and celebrate because the year is over. However,
the field days are not very similar at all. In the middle school you walk to the park and mess around there for a few
hours. This makes the day extremely boring and you don t have any water so in the hot may day you are sweating a
lot and have nothing to drink. The elementary school, however, has a much better field day. You get to play on the
blacktop or the grass and they had jumping pits and WATER. At the time it was very fun and Definitely better than the

Horror Film History
According to Prince (2004), horror films today are more disturbing than those produced during the genres
establishment. During the classical Hollywood era, horror films were located in distant places, in the woods or
abandoned territories. The films would mostly show a group of people going to a camp where the horror would then
take place, or while on a trip, the vehicle would stop halfway in an unknown place, and the horror would also begin.
All scenes would then take place in that abandoned place chosen by the film. At the end of the film, monsters were
killed by the hero. The hero would then go on to live his live normal, after returning safely to his hometown where it
was safe (Prince 2004). The sense of horror taking place in unknown places,

gender inequality. In the United States and even in other countries we are still living with gender inequality in many
different form like in the family, the workplace, and even when it comes to education.
Gender inequality tend to occur in the family. Many people may not pay attention to this but it happens all the time.
Back in the days during the early 1900s girls were taken out of school to stay home and take care of the house. While,
the guys would go to school, and work. Sheryl even shows an example of this in the passage it states During the
depression, my grandmother was pulled out of Morris High School to help support the household by sewing fabric
flowers onto undergarments that her mother could resell for a tiny profit. No one in the community would have
considered taking a boy out of school. A boy s education was the family s hope to move up the financial and social
ladder. This just shows how

Longfellow Psalms Of Life Analysis
Three Messages in Longfellow s Psalm of Life
An Analysis of Three Messages in Psalm of Life
There are three main messages in Longfellow s, Psalm of Life . Have you ever really thought about what Longfellow
is trying to reveal through this text. This poem teaches us an abundance of lessons and gives different perspectives on
life situations. He teaches about life and the way we should live. This poem gives insight to things that you wouldn t
normally think of and makes you think deeply into the purpose of life. There are three primary messages in
Longfellow s Psalm of Life.
In the poem, Psalm of Life by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow shows us that we have to take care of our bodies but we
have to take care of our souls too. He states, For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem.
(Psalm of Life 3 4) I believe that to take care of your soul means to do things that make you happy. Personally, the
way I fill my soul is through a lot of little things. We have to find things that make us happy and do them frequently.
Being happy isn t about being perfect but instead it s about having people and things in our life that make life a little
better. In a lot of situations, we have to do what is best for ourselves and so that is also a way we take care of our
souls is by doing what is best for us. Another way we do this is by making all of the memories we can in life and
enjoying as much of it as we can. In ways, life can be really hard sometimes but if we find ways to make it through
those hard times, our souls will be filled. Taking care of our bodies is definitely important but not near as important as
taking care of your soul.
Psalm of Life also shows us that we only have so much time do this thing called life so we might as well take it
seriously. Longfellow says, Dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. (Psalm of Life 7 8) We take a
lot of things in life for granted. We never know how much time we have or what is going to happen the next day. We
must live as it were our last day and we must take risks and care free. The Psalm shows us that even when we return
to dust, our soul is still there. On the other hand, this shows us that we need to appreciate everything

The Battle of Coral Sea Essay
The Battle of Coral Sea was the first major sea battle between allied fleet forces, including those of the United States
and Australian Navies, and the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II. Pivotal in terms of allied naval
fleet operations during the war, the Battle of Coral Sea was also the first naval battle that featured opposing air craft
carriers in close proximity to each other, resulting in air battles initiated by sea, rather than from traditional land
bases. The following provides relevant details. The plan calling for expansion of Japanese forces throughout the
Pacific theater was developed by the IJN and Japanese Army. As detailed by Stille, This called for a series of

This had the effect of reducing the contingent of allied aircraft carriers in the Pacific by half. Hence, when the
Japanese launched their next offensive in the Southern Pacific, the IJN fleet would now be augmented with carrier
support, while U.S Naval forces suffered from a reduction in the same support vital to their mission of defending a
major Japanese offensive (Stille 8). Prior to the upcoming Coral Sea battle, a number of Japanese military messages
had been intercepted by the U.S. Navy signals intelligence unit. The first, dated March 28, 1942, was encoded as
stating The objective of MO will be first to restrict the enemy fleet movements and will be accomplished by means of
attacks on the north coast of Australia. ( Battle of the Coral Sea ) Subsequent messages were intercepted that provided
allied forces with updated details concerning IJN fleet progress, as well as elements of IJN plans that included
battleship and carrier logistics. This resulted in the U.S. Navy s deployment of a cotillion of numerous warships and
support craft, and also the carriers Lexington and Yorktown ( Battle of the Coral Seas ). In the upcoming battle, these
ships would do battle against a superior IJN force comprised of far more battleships, submarines and support craft, as
well as aircraft carriers. While the events leading up to the battle have been

The Process of The Life Cycle of A Star Essay
Professor Lawrence Krauss claims that, In our galaxy, there are over 100 billion stars alone. ( Extreme ). Each one of
those stars is a factory which slowly builds the materials for the foundations of the universe ( Stars ). Stars are as
varied as people. While they are all born the same way, they do not all die the same way. Some stars live fast and die
young; others die slowly and quietly ( Extreme ). The life cycle of a star is violent, they churn, pulsate, and sometimes
explode, but the products of its life are invaluable building blocks for the Universe. There is a process to the life cycle
of a star. The birth of a star is a process completely fueled by gravity ( Life ). All stars are born in something called a

The evolution of a star s birth is a slow process. It can take up to fifty million years for a star the size of our sun to
fully mature (Redd). Many stars then go on to live long and brilliant lives, although not always ( Stars ).
{Two new paragraphs: Main Sequence, and Post Main Sequence evolution) The deaths of stars come in two varieties.
The first variety is that of a slow fading into oblivion. After a long period of time, all of the hydrogen inside the core
of a star will be drained, and the hydrogen fusion process within the core will cease. This cessation causes the core to
begin to fall on itself, generating heat. Within other stellar layers, there is still sufficient hydrogen to continue fusing
hydrogen into helium. The higher location in which the fusion occurs causes the other layers of the star to increase in
size. The star is now referred to as a red giant ( Stars ). After this stage occurs and the star reaches the proper density,
the helium in the star will begin to be fused into carbon. This helium burning phase usually lasts about 100 million
years ( Life ). Once the helium fuel source is exhausted, the star will become a red supergiant, which will only live for
a few tens of thousands of years ( Life ). However, as the star expands, it becomes increasingly unstable. Sudden
energy surges rip through the star and start to blow away its

Analysis Of Baymax In The Film Big Hero 6

When activated, Baymax will do a full body scan and show the patient, through a hologram, their current medical

The Impact Of Organizational Behavior On Sports Industry
An evaluation of how the study of Organizational Behavior in sports industry is relevant to me.
In football industry the importance of teamwork pays a huge role in future success. Without balanced group it will be
difficult to achieve goals but what is teamwork? There are several ways to define teamwork but for some color why
not think of it as the French do. The French language has an excellent expression to describe it: esprit de corps. This
means a sense of unity, of enthusiasm for common interests and responsibilities, as developed among a group of
persons closely associated in a task, cause, enterprise, etc. Teamwork can be likened to two compounds, almost
essential to modern life. It s the glue which keeps a team together, a bond which promotes strength, unity, reliability
and support. Teamwork is also the oil that makes the team work. It can enable smoother movement towards targets,
can prolong forward momentum, and can help teams to overcome obstacles. Teamwork has the potential to underpin
so much of what is valuable in work. In fact, the benefits to be gained from teamwork synergies are essential for the
effective management of resources. The value of teamwork is regularly seen in sports. How often do we see teams
made up of expensive star players outperformed by teams with players who may be individually less talented?
Assuming transfer price tags really are an indicator of talent! The answer lies in two things. The synergistic value of

The State Of Texas Is Not At Its Best Right Now
Public education in the state of Texas is not at its best right now. Students are not being challenged to think anymore.
As the second most populous state of the United States, I believe that Texas should be at the top of public education
not only in the country, but in the world. We should change how and what teacher are teaching to students. Now days
we go to school to memorize keywords so we can graduate and get a diploma. After that, some students that don t go
to college don t reuse the information that was taught to them for four years, so basically the schools wasted resources
and money, and students lost time. I believe we can and should strike for greatness and change the public education
system from head to toe. Learning is a fun activity to do and school should not just be about going to class and learn
how to pass an exam or get good grades in a class. Learning is about gaining knowledge and applying that knowledge
to learn and discover new things about that topic. The public education system in Texas can and should be improved
for and by everybody in the state of Texas. A great man named Nelson Mandela once said Education is the most
powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Without education we would just be meat and bones
working just for survival, not enjoying life. Education is what brought us from the stone age to the moon. I believe
that we should spend more money on improving the public education system because students right now will be

History And Perceptions Of American Sign Language Essay
History and Perceptions of American Sign Language
Sign language is one most common ways for deaf individuals to communicate without using of their voices. Different
cultures and languages will typically have their own version of sign language so signs are not always universal, just
like gestures are not universal. Signs are culturally bound in communication just like verbal languages and gestures
are culturally bound. I will examine the history of American Sign Language, as well as how it has been viewed
culturally with positive and negative social implications in the U.S.
History of American Sign Language
In order to fully understand the creation of American Sign Language (ASL), it must be understood that it is a form of
communication. That means every sign has a meaning that is culturally bound just like languages in oral
communication. That also means that the language has a distinctive origin. In fact, ASL carries several linguistic
features that are similar to spoken languages (Rosen, 2008) such as the presence of homonyms and its constant
evolution (Shaw Delaporte, 2011). The unique concept about ASL, though, is that it actually has very strong ties and
connections with the French Sign Language, also known as LFS. This connection is explained by Delaporte Shaw
(2009) and Shaw Delaporte (2011) as being due to how ASL was formalized in the U.S. by Thomas Hopkins
Gallaudet with the help of a deaf French professor named Laurent Clerc who used LSF. Because LFS

age of 70 to 80. Does this not show we are damaging population numbers and cutting lifespans of these wonderful

numbers, on one of their journeys, they covered a distance of 5,075 miles without stopping: this can be compared to a
non stop journey from Edinburgh to Los Angeles or London to Beijing. A distance that is impossible to mimic in
captivity. The reason for these epic journeys is for food. Killer whales have a varied diet and are one of the most
powerful predators on earth. They hunt a mixture of sea birds, squid, sea turtles, sharks, rays, fish and marine
mammals such as seals. What makes it so interesting is different ecotypes will eat different foods dependent on their
native habitat and this is when we have to consider what captive whales are being fed. The common diet of dead
frozen fish is not specific to every type killer whale. I am convinced that this is not a healthy diet for a whale and only

Although it looks a lot cooler than a big scab, a new tattoo is also a wound and like any other scrape, puncture, cut or

your immunizations (especially hepatitis and tetanus shots) and plan where you will get medical care if your new

changes in your skin color around the tattoo. If you have a medical problem such as heart disease, allergies, diabetes,
skin disorders or any condition that affects your immune system or are prone to infections, you should ask your
doctor before deciding to get a tattoo. Also, if you are prone to getting keloids (an overgrowth of scar tissue in the

Avoiding Infection It s very important to make sure the tattoo studio is clean and safe, and that all equipment is

Ethical Issues Of Group Counseling
Ethical Issues in Group Counseling
Introduction
Group counseling offers multiple relationships to assist an individual in growth and problem solving. In group
sessions, members are encouraged to discuss the issues that brought them into therapy openly and honestly. The
counselor works to create an atmosphere of trust and acceptance that encourages members to support one another.
Ethics plays a major role in group counseling, it takes an effective leader to be aware of ethical considerations.
Counselors must hold a keen understanding of ethics when it comes to counseling. It is a challenge for group
counselors more than those counselors who conduct one on one sessions due to the fact that leaders not only need to
be aware of their own actions but also the actions of the group members to maintain an ethical environment for all
individuals in which the group consists of (Corey, Williams, and Moline, 1995). Being held accountable for groups
ethical standards can be an issues because one individual may feel their actions/statements are ethical while another
may feel the same action or statement are unethical.
Group Members
ACA Code of Ethics, states in section A.8 Counselors screen prospective group counseling/therapy participants. To
the extent possible, counselors select members whose needs and goals are compatible with goals of the group, who
will not impede the group process, and whose well being will not be jeopardized by the group experience. Members

Zombie Apocalypse Disasters
There are all kinds of emergencies that we can prepare for; a zombie apocalypse is one of them. Zombies may be
fictional, but natural disasters are a very real concern in which we would take the same precautions. To prepare for
those kinds of outbreaks, you should have a well structured plan.
During a disaster such as a zombie apocalypse, shelter is a vital part in surviving. With zombies running rampant
across the city, we must have a safe and secure shelter for all citizens to hide out until the apocalypse is over. With
that being said, what kind of building should we provide, and where should these types of shelters be placed? These
buildings will be placed underground, so that the zombies are unable to reach the citizens and resources we have
packed inside. To enter these types of buildings, all people will have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cell phones and the internet will quickly become useless. This leaves Amateur Radios as the most reliable form of
communication in a disaster. Amateur Radios, also known as ham radios, are able to work on a frequency that cannot
be taken down due to towers falling or electricity failing. Through these, you can communicate with other groups that
are functioning far away from you. There is also a list of emergency radio frequencies that are extremely useful in
case of a disaster. For example, frequency 39.46 is use or state police forces, 154.28 is used for the fire department,
and 462.675 is used for a General Mobile Radio Service. This can also be used to communicate with other groups and
task forces within the town. It is possible to do so by sending inter departmental messages to the frequencies above.
By sending these messages you can not only communicate to the leaders of each group, but can also communicate to
the public. Communication is a vital resource to use in the survival of a zombie

nominated movies and nominated for over 80 awards. In his short time in his acting career, not only has he impressed
everybody with his talent but he has also run many charities to help inspire young minds and give them hope for a

Cumberbatch has had his moments where because he came from a rich family, he tended to look down on others.
Cumberbatch commented about the 2011 London riots in a interview and the point that came across was because they
are poor, they don t have a right to speak up. Cumberbatch also complained that his character on Sherlock was too
girly and he felt like it was wrong and unmanly to have curly hair on a show with mostly all males. Benedict had used
the term coloured while talking about black people which caused a huge storm on twitter, Cumberbatch later went on
a live interview and apologized for not only his actions, but his grandfathers as well as people were bringing back his
grandfathers past with slaves. Cumberbatch also misgendered a recent transgender, Chelsea Manning during an
interview and compared Frankenstein s worldwide known monster to people with autism. In an interview with Ellen,
Cumberbatch revealed that his fan base calls themselves cumberbitches and Benedict thought that the fans were
shaming themselves in feminism and did nothing about it but talk badly about their choice of name.

Effects Of Xenophobia In South Africa
Research Question
What are the effects of xenophobia on South African society?
Tentative Thesis
The effects of xenophobia on South African society are devastating. Xenophobia causes tension between citizens and
immigrants, causes displacement of thousands and even loss of life. It also undermines the fragile relationships and
trust between the foreigners and citizens. It violates what our country stands for (democracy and equality to all) by
not treating immigrants as equals especially when they need basic services from the government. The immigrants also
present xenophobic actions towards citizens of South Africans by using derogatory terms and calling them names.
This causes a further divide between the immigrants and the citizens. This divide ... Show more content on

of settling in World rankings as well.
Poverty
Mexico has a poverty rate that s reported to be around 46.2% between 2012 and 2014 translating into an increase of
.07%. During this time, the Mexican Government reported that two million Mexicans slipped into poverty. The
poverty level has risen slightly due to access to education, health, clean water and income as the basis of the problem.
Statistics show that in Latin America, Mexico is one of the only countries not showing any decreases in poverty
levels. Mexico is struggling with slow economic growth but has large disparities when it comes to the distribution of
wealth. Between 2012 and 2014 the average income earned by Mexicans also fell. The average household income in
Mexico is about 13,000 pesos per month which equals to $800 US as of 2014. The disparity between top 10% of
earners is that they earn 30 times more than lower earners make Mexico.
Mexico s stagnant wages and declining purchasing power also contribute to the reality of poverty for many Mexican

increase would equal to about 30 cents in US currency. The Mexican government reports that the increase is
approximately 12.8%.

  • 2. Bolshevik And Menshevik Party Essay Angered by the current status of the political system, the working class in early 20th century Russia was ready to fight for a change. The Bolshevik party, a branch of the Russian Social Democratic Worker s Party (RSDWP) led by Vladimir I. Lenin, rose to power through a series of revolutions, fighting for a societal evolution that would lead a once capitalist Russia into a communistic political powerhouse. Two parties represented the left wing of the RDSWP, both wanting similar changes. Both the Menshevik and Bolshevik parties desired a socialist society, though their approaches to change the capitalistic society differed. The Menshevik party believed in a wide appeal; they thought that their strength was in their numbers. Contrarily, the Bolsheviks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By World War 1, the Bolshevik party was the only political party in Russia to fight vocally to end the war, insisting that it was dividing the working class and leading them to death. Due to this vocalization, the leaders of the movement were arrested; Lenin had escaped from the arrests and moved to Switzerland, leaving behind a small core group who supported the movement. On April 4, 1917, Lenin returned to Russia to give his April Thesis to Social Democratic Parties. He pushed a new program, stating that it was time to start a socialist society before a bourgeois government was permanent. Moreover, he established a tactical program to stir a revolution for a proletariat. Their slogan, Peace, Land and Bread, highlighted the three areas the party believed were necessary for success, of which to current government was failing to excel at. Particularly, the provisional government lacked an agrarian program, left urban populations starving to help the war, and they, according to Lenin, were in need of a new offensive. Lenin emphasized most that all power should be left with the soviets. As a result, on October 24 25, 1917, Lenin and the Bolshevik party led Russian workers and peasants to overthrow the Provisional government and set up a soviet government. The revolution resulted in peace on all fronts, and enabled the party to take over the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The goal is for the therapist to lead the client on the path of change; subsequently that the client can recognize the authority clients hold to change their circumstances. SFBT adopt that the clients are the experts on their lives, not the therapist. For that reason, the counselor assumes an ambassador mentality, permitting the clients to educate the therapist about themselves, and permitting the clients to direct the treatment (Murphy, 2008). SFBT is swayed by post modern philosophy, such as social constructionism. The story begins when the narrator confesses his love for animals. The narrator marries a woman and introduces her to a black cat, named Pluto. The narrator begins to suffer from violent and uncontrollable mood swings, caused from influence of alcohol. After coming home drunk one night the narrator lashes out at Pluto, he quickly tries to grab the cat, only to be bitten. To get revenge the narrator pulls a knife from his pocket and cuts out one of Pluto s eyes. The narrator does address the fact that he is an alcoholic, But my disease grew upon me for what disease is like Alcohol (Poe 46). Professor McMurran, a psychologist at the University of Nottingham, says that, Alcohol reduces our ability to think straight, it narrows our focus of attention and gives us tunnel vision. If someone provokes us while we re drunk, we don t take other factors into account, such as consequences, this can lead to violent reactions from people who would usually shrug things off (Alcohol and Aggression). How bad was the deformity? Is the surgery obligatory? What are the potential repercussions of opting out of the surgery? The surgery makes it easier for your child to identify as either a boy or a girl because as of right now, it s neither. That was it. The only real reason my child needed surgery was because of an arbitrary cosmetic requirement for classifying genders. I was speechless, livid, and borderline aggressive. This means that the potassium nitrate is used up 2.8 times faster than the sugar, therefore requiring more potassium nitrate to sugar. None of the ratios tested have this exact proportion, in fact all of the ratios have a smaller percentage of oxidizer than is advised, promoting the conclusion that the potassium nitrate is the limiting reactant, running out first. The ratios simplify to as follows: 7:13 has 0.54 grams of oxidizer per gram of fuel, 10:10 has a 1:1, and 13:7 being has 1.86 grams per gram of fuel. One would notice that as the ratio of oxidizer per fuel increases, the launch height also increases. • 11. The Tradition Of The Century Viking Wars 1. Many of the Air Force s customs, traditions, and procedures are traceable to the earliest warriors. The dining in is one such military tradition that has its roots in the distant past. The pre Christian Roman Legions probably began the dining in tradition. Roman military commanders frequently held great feasts to honor individuals and military units. These get togethers were victory celebrations where past feats were remembered and loot of new conquests paraded. The second century Viking war lords stylized the format of the victory feast. With the exception of the lookout, or watch, the entire clan attended these celebrations. Feats of strength and skill were performed to entertain the members and guests. The leader took his place at the head of the table, with all others to his right and left in descending order of rank. 2. The dining in custom was transplanted to ancient England by Roman and Viking warriors, and King Arthur s Knights of the Round Table practiced a form of dining in in the sixth century. The tradition eventually spread to non military groups, such as the Saxon nobles of the tenth century and the medieval monasteries. The monks, who followed a more rigid regimen, had their form of dining in as an integral part of monastic life. The clergy spread the custom to the academies and universities. The British officer corps, with many graduates of these centers of learning, carried the tradition back to military units. The dining in became increasingly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Henry David Thoreau And Individualism A significant philosopher of the pre Civil War era of the United States, Henry David Thoreau appeared to be above the standard with his philosophically driven life style. He wrote detailed accounts of his life in his book titled Walden, in which he expressed his desire to escape the confining pressures of human society. His second chapter lauded the concepts of individualism and self sufficiency, yet he never took into account the potential harm of his mentality, for it could hurt individuals as well as communities, and modern life simply cannot support his ideals. To begin, the main points of Thoreau s essay must be analysed. Thoreau began by advocating a life that is simple and slow. This is summarized by the phrase from his book, Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand. A philosophy such as this may be appealing, especially when one is overwhelmed by the problems presented by society. However, maintaining this simplicity in a community context requires ignorance of the needs and wants of other people. Many of society s complicated demands, such as tax payment and jury duty, are necessary for the betterment of other citizen s lives. In his essay, Thoreau dismissed the importance of community problems by claiming that they were a complete illusion, adding, Men say that a stitch in time saves nine, and so they take a thousands stitches today to save nine tomorrow. • 15. The Epidemic Of The Obesity Epidemic Essay Introduction The World Health Organization (WHO) defines obesity as the excessive accumulation of fat that puts the person s health at risk (Lenzi et al., 2015). The prevalence of obesity has increased worldwide over the past three decades. According to Holtz (2016), obese people have outnumbered the undernourished, with the World Health Organization estimating that 1.9 billion adults are overweight, out of which about 600 million are obese. Given the recent trends, it is estimated that 1.12 billion people will be obese by 2030 (Grossschädl, 2014). According to a report by the McKinsey Global Institute, 2014), the global impact of the obesity epidemic is estimated to be $20 trillion, or 2.8 percent of the global gross domestic product (GDP), which is on a par with the global impact from terrorism, armed violence, smoking, and warfare. Setting the Context Presently, the toll of the epidemic on healthcare systems alone is between 2 percent and seven percent of net healthcare spending in industrialized economies, excluding the huge costs associated with the treatment of heart disease and type 2 diabetes that account for up to twenty percent of healthcare costs (Bassuk Manson, 2008; Alosco et al., 2015). In addition to the costs to healthcare systems, obesity undermines the productivity of employees, thereby undercutting corporate competitiveness. As the story develops, the children s obsession over seeing and communication with Boo becomes the recognition that Boo wants to be their friend by leaving small and thoughtful gifts for them as communication. When the knothole in the tree where Boo leaves his gifts becomes blocked, they realize that Boo is not a mysterious phantom, but a person oppressed by his brother, who takes away his opportunity to communicate to the children. Although Boo s only way of communication to the children is taken away, it is shown that he continues to watch over them when he covers Scout with a blanket without her knowing to keep her warm and mends Jem s pants. These actions show that Boo is a respectable person and not the monster they believe him to be. When Tom Robinson s trial happens, Scout and Jem begin to have a different understanding of their neighbor. She ended doing bigger and better things that most girls during that time period couldn t. Sheryl also goes to talk about how till this day there s still gender inequality. In the United States and even in other countries we are still living with gender inequality in many different form like in the family, the workplace, and even when it comes to education. Gender inequality tend to occur in the family. Many people may not pay attention to this but it happens all the time. Back in the days during the early 1900s girls were taken out of school to stay home and take care of the house. While, the guys would go to school, and work. Sheryl even shows an example of this in the passage it states During the depression, my grandmother was pulled out of Morris High School to help support the household by sewing fabric flowers onto undergarments that her mother could resell for a tiny profit. No one in the community would have considered taking a boy out of school. A boy s education was the family s hope to move up the financial and social ladder. This just shows how ... • 21. Longfellow Psalms Of Life Analysis Three Messages in Longfellow s Psalm of Life An Analysis of Three Messages in Psalm of Life There are three main messages in Longfellow s, Psalm of Life . Have you ever really thought about what Longfellow is trying to reveal through this text. This poem teaches us an abundance of lessons and gives different perspectives on life situations. He teaches about life and the way we should live. This poem gives insight to things that you wouldn t normally think of and makes you think deeply into the purpose of life. There are three primary messages in Longfellow s Psalm of Life. In the poem, Psalm of Life by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow shows us that we have to take care of our bodies but we have to take care of our souls too. He states, For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem. (Psalm of Life 3 4) I believe that to take care of your soul means to do things that make you happy. Personally, the way I fill my soul is through a lot of little things. We have to find things that make us happy and do them frequently. Being happy isn t about being perfect but instead it s about having people and things in our life that make life a little better. In a lot of situations, we have to do what is best for ourselves and so that is also a way we take care of our souls is by doing what is best for us. Another way we do this is by making all of the memories we can in life and enjoying as much of it as we can. In ways, life can be really hard sometimes but if we find ways to make it through those hard times, our souls will be filled. Taking care of our bodies is definitely important but not near as important as taking care of your soul. Psalm of Life also shows us that we only have so much time do this thing called life so we might as well take it seriously. Longfellow says, Dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. (Psalm of Life 7 8) We take a lot of things in life for granted. We never know how much time we have or what is going to happen the next day. We must live as it were our last day and we must take risks and care free. The Psalm shows us that even when we return to dust, our soul is still there. On the other hand, this shows us that we need to appreciate everything ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first variety is that of a slow fading into oblivion. After a long period of time, all of the hydrogen inside the core of a star will be drained, and the hydrogen fusion process within the core will cease. This cessation causes the core to begin to fall on itself, generating heat. Within other stellar layers, there is still sufficient hydrogen to continue fusing hydrogen into helium. The higher location in which the fusion occurs causes the other layers of the star to increase in size. The star is now referred to as a red giant ( Stars ). After this stage occurs and the star reaches the proper density, the helium in the star will begin to be fused into carbon. This helium burning phase usually lasts about 100 million years ( Life ). History And Perceptions Of American Sign Language Essay History and Perceptions of American Sign Language Sign language is one most common ways for deaf individuals to communicate without using of their voices. Different cultures and languages will typically have their own version of sign language so signs are not always universal, just like gestures are not universal. Signs are culturally bound in communication just like verbal languages and gestures are culturally bound. I will examine the history of American Sign Language, as well as how it has been viewed culturally with positive and negative social implications in the U.S. History of American Sign Language In order to fully understand the creation of American Sign Language (ASL), it must be understood that it is a form of communication. That means every sign has a meaning that is culturally bound just like languages in oral communication. That also means that the language has a distinctive origin. In fact, ASL carries several linguistic features that are similar to spoken languages (Rosen, 2008) such as the presence of homonyms and its constant evolution (Shaw Delaporte, 2011). The unique concept about ASL, though, is that it actually has very strong ties and connections with the French Sign Language, also known as LFS. This connection is explained by Delaporte Shaw (2009) and Shaw Delaporte (2011) as being due to how ASL was formalized in the U.S. by Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet with the help of a deaf French professor named Laurent Clerc who used LSF.
