The Importance Of Physical Activity And Its Emphasis

April 12, 2016 The Importance Physical Activity and its Emphasis in schools Our lives are very busy
with many activities to the point where we neglect our health. Over time the neglect results in various
diseases and illnesses. In order to avoid this from happening, we need to make physical activity part of
our lifestyle from an early age. Physical activity has many benefits while many young people of the
future are still in school. According to the CDC, Center for Disease Control regular physical activity
helps build strong muscles. (CDC) It helps reduce the chance of obesity and other diseases and helps
improve an individual s mood and overall wellbeing (CDC Physical Activity Facts). Most students get
their physical activity through school PE classes. These types of exercise are done for a short time and
not enough for the recommended 30 to 45 minutes for most students according to the CDC. (CDC)
Physical Activity is an essential part of our lives and should be part of everyone s daily routine.
During my research I found many surprising facts on the benefits of physical activity. According to the
CDC s article Physical Activity Facts Regular physical activity in childhood and adolescence
improves strength and endurance, helps build healthy bones and muscles, helps control weight,
reduces anxiety and stress, increases self esteem, and may improve blood pressure and cholesterol
levels.1 (CDC). This is another example of

Leadership of Richard Branson Essay
Leadership of Richard Branson
Dr. Paul FrankenhauserMGT 500 Modern Management

Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group has been a household name in the United Kingdom for
over twenty years. He is well respected in the business world. He is the founder of the Virgin Group,
which is known for many different things such as cell phones, record labels, airlines and many more.
Branson is also known for his unique character and leadership styles, one who is not afraid to take
risks, and believes that people are the foundation to his company s success. If I were to first
characterize his leadership style I would say he is definitely a democratic leader. He truly feels that

They show customers and employees what our business stands for, and often inspire our teams at
other businesses to try new challenges. Another way Branson keeps employees engaged is by inviting
them to take part in company events, like the Virgin Mobile Live Free fest, a free music festival held
every year to raise money (through donations) for homeless young people. Along with giving
employees a chance to give something back to the community, the festival allows an opportunity to
say thank you to customers and staff by providing them with the chance to enjoy themselves for free.
The sense of fun unites the businesses reminds employees of what the company stands for. In some
ways it s easier for a large organization like Virgin to embark on such projects, but with a little
inventiveness and resourceful thinking, other business owners might come up with shot in the arm
schemes of their own (Entrepreneur, 2012). Maintaining a focused and motivated staff can be a
difficult task for employers to master, especially during harsh economic times and with stretched
resources. Branson recently held a series of talks for employees, where they were encouraged to
engage and debate different subjects. The exercises were held on a tropical island in the Caribbean.
Every company does not have the luxury of taking their employees off to a tropical island, that

What I Do For America Essay
America, land of the free and home of the brave. A country that has been united and been divided.
Unfortunately, America is divided now more than ever. Every single one of us are trying to point
fingers at one another. This, will not solve anything. The only way to mend our broken bond is to sit
back and look at ourselves. I always ask myself two questions. Am I a part of the solution, and what
can I do to help fix what is broken? It doesn t matter how big or how small of a difference as long as
we know that we tried our hardest. John F. Kennedy once said, The cost of freedom is always high,
but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of
surrender, or submission. I agree with him. The cost is high, and I will not submit to anything.
Whether itś being a bystander or giving in to greed, each and every one of us has a responsibility to
America. Our responsibility is to work for our freedom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Money is a part of our everyday lives. Giving in to money is a natural instinct nowadays, but we can t

Fort Christianvaern Research Paper
Fort Christiansvaern was created by the Danish in the year 1738 in efforts to protect commerce
throughout the territory from piracy and privateers and also to protect the local citizens from slave
revolts. It was established in Christiansted after an earlier French fort was destroyed by a hurricane
and named after King Christian VI. It was occupied by the British from 1801 1803 and then again
from 1807 1815. In 1878 it was then used to house the police headquarters, court offices, courthouse,
and archives. Soldiers were replaced by armed civil officers in 1906 who then remained there until

These buildings provide us insight into what life was like more than 100 years into the past. We can
see for ourselves the way buildings were constructed back then, how the prison system was set up,
building materials of the past vs the materials we use today. We can learn so much about past decades
from studying these buildings and the history that comes with them. In order to know where we re
going we first have to know where we came from. These historic buildings also show us the hard
times that our ancestors endured and how hard they fought for the freedom we have today. We have
come thus far and the 100 year celebration of transfer is to show for it. Keeping these historic
buildings renovated and standing for years to come will help remind Virgin Islanders like myself how
far the Virgin Islands have come. It will also help share the history of the islands to the upcoming
youth and foreigners that visit the island frequently. Our VI history is essential in the journey of
success for the Virgin Islands and its empowerment. These historic buildings are the foundation of it

Three Denominations Of Christianity
Throughout the history, religions around the world have played an important part in establishing
beliefs and culture. Every area of the world has some kind of religion or belief system. There are many
different religions, some are huge and wide spread, some are small with a few people following it, and
some are very influential up to a point that, countries establish them as their state religions. According
to the Oxford Dictionary Religion is defined as the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling
power, especially a personal God or gods. However, it can be understood in different ways. For
someone it is a personal way of leading a lifestyle, while for others it is a tool to control a large
number of people. Also each person can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christianity is about 2,000 years old, beginning around 30 CE with the death of Jesus Christ. Over the
centuries, Christianity has divided into vast amount of denominations, because some Christians
worship in different ways and believe in different parts of the Bible. According to
arabamericanmuseum.org, each denomination has its own distinctive beliefs or practices, but they are
generally considered a branch of mainstream Christianity if they agree on core doctrines like the
divinity of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible. The three main largest denominations of
Christianity are Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestant, with Catholicism being the
largest. Christians believe that there is only one god, but that there are three elements of God,
including the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They believe these are 3 forms of the same God, similar to
how water can exist in 3 forms of liquid, gas and solid. They also believe that 2,000 years ago in
Israel, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth to save humans from the consequences of their sins. He
gave his life by being crucified and on the third day rose from the dead. Faith in Jesus Christ himself,
not just in his teachings, is how the Christian experiences joy and a meaningful life. Jesus claimed to
be the God in human form, rather than prophet who is pointing to God. He performed miracles,
forgave people of their sin and said that anyone who believed in him would have eternal life. He made
statements like, I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will
have the light of life. (biblehub.com ) The Christian holy book is called the Bible. It reveals God s
personality, his love and truth, and how each person can have a relationship with him. Whatever
circumstances a Christian is dealing with in their life, the Bible teaches that they can confidently turn
to a wise and powerful God who truly loves

1 Corinthians Authorship
The date and authorship of 1 Corinthians, in general, is highly uncontested. Most biblical scholars are
comfortable setting the probable date for the writing of 1 Corinthians at 54 56 A.D. and the author as
the apostle Paul. There is a lot of support in the Bible and also historical reinforcement that uphold
this date and authorship for the book of 1 Corinthians. The only major area of contention in regards to
the letter of 1 Corinthians is in its integrity. Some scholars would argue that the letter is a combination
of multiple letters written by Paul that over time were stitched together to form 1 Corinthians, while
others would propose that Paul wrote the letter over an extended period as he received new
information about what was happening ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was written while Paul was in Ephesus. Paul had spent approximately eighteen months in 50 to 51
A.D. in the city of Corinth, where he was instrumental in starting up the Corinthian church. This was
one of the longest times he spent with a church during his missionary journeys. After leaving the
Corinthian church, Paul stayed in contact with them. The letters of 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians are
not the only correspondence that transpired between Paul and the church, though they are the only two
letters that are still in existence today. Scholars are confident there were at least four letters, with 1
Corinthians being the second letter Paul sent. The first letter is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 5: 9 10.
The third letter was sent between 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians. It is mentioned in 2 Corinthians 2:
4 11 and 2 Corinthians 7: 5 13. Paul also communicated with the Corinthian church through
messengers, who kept him informed over what was transpiring in the church body. He also made
another trip to visit the church, stayed with them for three months, and then made his way to
Jerusalem with the offering he had collected for the Jerusalem

The Iliad By Ancient Greek Poet Homer Essay
The Iliad, written by ancient Greek poet Homer, chronicles the battle and events during the final
weeks of The Trojan War, an armed conflict between the Achaeans army and the defenders of Troy. It
further recounts the story of the wrath of Achilles, the greatest warrior in the Greek army, against King
Agamemnon who unfairly appropriates Briseis, the lovely maiden belonging to Achilles after
relinquishing his own maiden, Chryseis, in order to end the plague sweeping the Greek armies.
Infuriated by Agamemnon s demands, the dishonored and humiliated Achilles initially withdraws from
the king s army and enlists the service of Zeus, king of all gods, to bring upon the Achaean army a
devastating loss. He later reconciles with Agamemnon and joins the Greek army to avenge his friend,
Patroclus death, who was killed by Hector, the mightiest warrior in the Trojan army. As Achilles
renters the battle, he experiences aristeias his finest, most glorious moments during the conflict as he
is able to rout the Trojan army, mercilessly slaughtering them one by one, and dragging the mutilated
body of Hector after brutally murdering him. It is only through these fearless, life threatening actions
does Achilles achieve everlasting glory, honor and fame, bestowed to him by his community. In
Homer s Iliad, Achilles aristeia supersedes the aristeias of other characters as the warrior is able to
display unsurpassed skill and prowess in battle, is motivated to seek the principle of justice for his

Insanity And Detachment Of Order

30 May 2017 Insanity and Detachment of Order
Insanity is a field of behaviours characterized by abnormal mental or behavioural patterns. It may be
apparent as violations of societal norms, including a person becoming a danger to themselves or
others. In modern usage, insanity is mostly seen as a term implying mental instability. Insanity is a
recurring theme in Timothy Findley s fictions. While he does not dispute its existence, the author
brings into question its meaning and its role, as well as the values of the societies that seek to define it.
Findley brings into question the meaning of this theme, both in a narrative context within his books
and as a term in itself and within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In both cases, the theme of insanity creates a detachment of societal norms. Hooker s hint of insanity
develops at the beginning of the book, when he goes on to describe the conditions in which he lives in,
and goes on to state that his ...house was just on the outskirts of town, unlike the rest of the town s
people. All through the house they closed doors and drew shades, they got dead quiet. That is how his
father liked it after Jessie came home (Findley 9). This life of isolation has already given Hooker the
incentive to detach from society, as he is constantly seen as a character that has trouble with
understanding societal ideals. He is seen as a character who has been forced to detach from society
when his mother Jessie comes home wanting to live in isolation after the miscarriage of her unborn
child; therefore allowing some of his mothers negative behaviours about life to rub off on him.
Through the characterization of Hooker, Findley explores the vice potential of such a subject, who
becomes the servant of destruction of the social structures that produced him. In Julie Salem Wiseman
s essay Insanity Begins at Home: Madness in the Family in Timothy Findley s Last of the Crazy
People, she states that Findley creates a Laingian portrait of how a disordered and degenerate social
reality of which the Winslows especially Hooker are an extreme representation produces subjects who
have not only internalized the social pathology that has formed them but also use the

Gun Control Laws Are Not Enforceable Essay
On June twelfth, this year the world woke up to the tragic news of a mass shooting in Orlando,
Florida. A twenty three year old man, Omar Mateen, opened fire at a popular gay nightclub in
downtown Orlando known as Pulse. Acting alone Mateen used an AR 15 assault rifle and a handgun.
By the time law enforcement could stop him fifty people were killed and fifty others were injured.
This incident is dubbed the nation s deadliest mass shooting in history. Shocked from this event and
others the nation called upon its leaders to make a change in gun control law. Gun control has become
the main topic for debate among lawmakers and citizens across the country due to the deadly attacks
within the last decade. Many people debate issues of the Second Amendment and a variety of other
subtopics related to gun control and gun rights. Gun control laws are not enforceable because there are
too many variations in laws and opinions across the country. Complications in the interpretation of the
Second Amendment, other federal laws, differences between state laws and level of restrictiveness all
add to the confusion and complications of gun control in the United States. The issue of gun control is
complex within itself because each state has their own laws and set of restrictions. But to understand
gun control one must understand the foundation for gun laws which comes from the Second
Amendment. The Amendment states A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free

Although Marie Curie was not the first woman to excel in science or mathematics, she can be
considered the first major woman scientist to receive full credit for her scientific work. Considering
her Nobel prizes alone, she is ranked at the top of the scientists of the modern period. Despite this,
somehow Marie Curie s popular images, as well as those embedded in some of the scholarly literature,

Impacts on future tourist destination region are:
Geographical Factor
These factors are mainly seasonality and attractions. Tourist demand goes up and down throughout the

For example, during the peak season, the accommodation is almost full meaning that there is not

In tourism region, seasonality leads to seasonal employment, and the correlative seasonal

Government Duty Research Paper
In America, there are five duties required of every citizen. They are obeying the law, paying taxes,
attending school, serving in court, and defending the nation. While defending the nation and serving in
court are important, obeying the law, paying taxes, and attending school are more important as they
make sure that there is even a nation worth defending. Citizens obeying the law is vital to a country s
survival. If a country s citizens didn t obey the same set of laws, then the country would quickly
unravel. Every person in a country adhering to their own set of laws would lead to increased danger
and ability for discrimination. For example, if the speed limit on a highway is 75 mph in a country
where everyone obeys the law, car accidents would be few and far between but in a country where
people don t care about the law, car accidents would happen significantly more due to people going
whatever speed they pleased. Likewise, if a law states that you can t discriminate based on gender,
then in a country where everyone follows the law, there would be no issues, while a country ... Show

An Investment Thesis Statement
2.6.1 How Should You Pick Your Targets? Invest With a Thesis An investment thesis is a statement on
how a specific deal will create value for a partic ular merged company. This document explains why
and how an acquisition improves the existing core business. Firms compete on cost position, brand
power, customer loy alty, assets and sometimes government protection (Harding, D. and Rovit, S.
2004). In order to develop an investment thesis you need to analyse the core competency of your own
business and how the firm produces value. Furthermore, acquires need to under stand how to enhance
core competency by acquiring outside targets. In order to suc cessfully identify appropriate target the
acquirer must determine its own basis of com petition. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These revolve around the question of where do operations need to be integrated, and where the
merging businesses can carry on separately. To answer this work with four decision principles
(Harding, D. and Rovit, S. 2004). 1) Plan for ownership. Launch integration plans months prior to the
deal being publicly announced. Link decisions to the deal s in vestment thesis and to the synergies and
cultural issues identified. Integrate quickly in critical areas. 2) Target areas for integration based on the
investment thesis. Mergers aimed at creating economies of scale require almost seamless integration.
However, mergers aimed at product extension, customer and geographic scope require selective
integration. 3) Put culture high on your leadership agenda. Managers of merged organi zations need to
retool their corporate culture to fit with the deal s investment thesis. Tools include hard tactics
organizational structure, incentives compensation and the di vision of decision making authority to
address cultural integration. 4) Retain key re sources in the core businesses. Mergers can exert a
gravitational pull on employees. Keep the talented focused on taking care of business. Develop a plan
to maintain key employees and protect the customer base. Effective integration generally ranks as the
single most important factor influencing the success of a deal (Harding, D. and Rovit, S.

Ok Computer Thom Yorke Analysis
Ok Computer, an album that is considered the last great rock album of the 20th century, has never
stopped expressing its clear message. Most critics have all come to the same conclusion when
discussing the meaning and message of this album. The album touches on the personal experiences of
the writer and the problems of society at the time. Thom Yorke, songwriter, expresses his dislike for
all the fast paced controlled city life with the songs Fitter Happier, Let Down, and Electioneering.
Thom Yorke also reveals his personal issues and experiences with the songs Paranoid Android and

they desperately need. Yorke clearly explains that the government will do anything to sway the public

Socialization In Lord Of The Flies
The novel centers on the topic of peer socialization and takes place on an unsupervised and isolated
island, which successfully illustrates the influence of the peer group on shaping both positive and
negative aspects of the characters behaviors (Golding, 1962). Children s interaction with peers
becomes their primary form of socialization as they approach adolescence, which emphasizes the role
of social support and identification, friendship, and social comparison (Ellis Zarbatany, 2007). Social

engaging in the group activities and maintaining efficient group functioning (Golding, 1962).
However, he holds too much personal belief with the moral judgment; therefore, he becomes the target

values his desires with priority rather than group functioning, which allows him to become malicious

The Regency Society During The Regency Period
During the Regency society, what made a man a true gentleman is still a confusing matter for many
Austenesque and Regency readers (Grace). Many of the 19th century occupations have vanished
because of changes in taste, socials customs, and technological advances (Pool 235). While some of
the men during the Regency period were extremely wealthy, there were others that faced financial
hardships (Grace). Most of time, the road of apprenticeship often led to a successful life and good
fortune (Pool 240). The most gentlemanly professions during the Regency period were the clergymen,
lawyers, and army officers.
Many of the men during the Regency period that desired to keep their status as a gentleman often went
into a church profession (Grace). Many gentlemen that were OxBridge graduates and younger
brothers entered the clergy (Ray 189). For many families that had a steady, guaranteed income, the
church was a popular option for them (Grace). There were two different types of clergyman, vicar and
curate. While being a clergyman required no strenuous physical labor, it did require a Honors degree
either from Oxford or Cambridge (Grace; Ray 189). For the most part, the gentry class were the only
ones that could actually afford a degree from Oxford or Cambridge to become a clergyman (Ray 189).
Another job opportunity in the church included the priest. The priests during this time were respected
by society mostly because of their association with the church (Ray 189). In the novel,

The most important and chronologically the oldest feature of poetry is rhythm which was included in
everyday life and working operations of every person, being the indivisible part of life. (Slobodník,
1976). In accordance to working rhythm, the thinker and a poet of 20th century, Christopher
Caudwell, raises an awareness of organizing function of poetry including its accompanying feature,
music and dance, for economic life of tribes.
[...]Poetry is characteristically song, and song is characteristically something which, because of its
rhythm, is sung in unison, is capable of being the expression of a collective emotion. This is one of the
secrets of heightened language. [...]Thus poetry, combined with dance, ritual, and music, becomes the
great switchboard of the instinctive energy of the tribe, directing it into trains of collective actions
whose immediate causes or gratifications are not in the visual field and which are not automatically
decided by instinct. (Caudwell, 1937, p.4)
Caudwell calls attention to beginnings of poetry, music and dance to be the phenomenon more
collective and synthetic (Slobodník, 1976). There are many supporters of this collective theory about
origins of poetry including A. W. Schlegel, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, F.M. Böhme, an ardent
supporter professor Francis. B. Gummere or George Lyman Kittredge. This theory was opposed by Dr.

One of the importance of volunteering is how healthy it makes one feel. You might wonder how this
works. It is believed that, those who volunteer feel more happy ,proud and confident of themselves
knowing that they are doing something good to help others aside themselves. This sense of happiness
makes them more relaxed and refreshed and this helps the human system to work more efficiently.
Volunteering offers an opportunity for people to meet and make new friends. As you go along with
people to communities to offer your services, you interact with them and get closer to them and

be one of the comforting things in life. Also, we can even make friends from the people we go out to
help and this indeed expands our social networks.

Dreams As A Mode Of Freedom
The theme of dreams as a mode of freedom, an escape, is commonly seen in the literature of African
American writers that can be traced as far back as the Negro Spirituals during the time of slavery.
While the motif of dreams is used far and wide in African American literature, it is in no way a static
matter, but rather a dynamic entity that writers internalize and redefine to express the sentiments of
their time. The meaning of the dream progressed accordingly to racial tensions in the country and the
freedom African Americans were allotted to express themselves politically and creatively. Starting
with Negro Spirituals, hopes and dreams were often connected to a desire of death to escape slavery.
Following emancipation though, the dream motif began to articulate a more hopeful future.
While some of the poems by the Harlem Renaissance writer Langston Hughes harbor a melancholy
attitude echoing that of the Negro Spirituals, Hughes s work can mainly be seen as the turning point
for how the motif of dreams would be portrayed in the works of prominent black authors and
figureheads. Langston Hughes was the beginning of the positive portrayal of the dream. At the time,
Hughes flourished within his community and it wouldn t be until many years later that the full breadth
of his work would be celebrated. He inspired the likes of Lorraine Hansberry and Martin Luther King
Jr. to bring his message to the nation. The dreams expressed by Hansberry and King Jr. reflects those

Workplace Bullying And The Workplace

those that has been through this or is currently going through this. I want to provide different steps
workers can take if they feel they are being bullied in their workplace. According to the Workplace
Bullying Institute (2015) workplace bullying is repeated, health harming mistreatment of one or more
persons (the targets) by one or more perpetrators. Bullying in the workplace is one of the most
contemporary problems I feel that we are faced with today. According to the Waitt Institute (2016)
Workplace Bullying is an Epidemic and 37% of American workers, an estimated 54 million people,
have been bullied at work.
Types of Bullying
There are different types of bullying that take place. Workplace bullying can consist of verbal abuse
using choice words such as a form of attacking another person. Another type of bullying can be
offensive behavior that can consist of verbal or nonverbal, it can also be threatening and humiliating,

School performance also can be drastically affected if children are exposed to too much screen time.
They will not make time to do their homework, which will ultimately have a negative impact on their

older who knows better and knows what is right and wrong. There are plenty of commercials and

What Is Etiquette Essay
1. INTRODUCTION/HISTORY
Since the beginning of recorded of history, manners have played an important role in behavior. Today
we shake hands atomically, but the custom started in the middle ages. When two men met, they
extended their right hands and shook hands to show that they did not intend to use their swords. It was
a display of courtesy and friendship.
What is the origin of the word etiquette? It comes from an old French word meaning ticket. Later it
came to mean a prescribed routine. Today, etiquette is defined as the forms, manner and ceremonies
established by convention as acceptable for required in business and society. It is a code of behavior
based on kindness consideration and unselfishness something that should never change. Francis Bacon

having good manners will never go out of style.

someone should date. Dating can be a magnificent social experience, it can also be a negative social
experience. A person needs to be mature enough to understand the feelings that go with dating a
significant other. Most importantly, the goal is to have fun, find a compatible mate, and keep the heart
break to a minimum To begin, each generation had an unlike view on dating and when to start dating.
For example, Marcia Cullom a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother states, Things were
different back when I started dating compared to how people date these days (Cullom). When she
became a mom of a teenager, one of the biggest questions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A child s first heartbreak could be very scaring and emotional. When going through a heartbreak at an
older age, it is known that they do not last forever and the heart will be healed, but at a younger aged
people believe that the hurt and pain is bottomless. Parents need to treat these heartbreaking feelings
seriously and be very sensitive when dealing with them. Moms and dads could do a number of things
to help their child through heartbreak. First, they could acknowledge that their child is in pain and they
will be happy again. Second, they should let their child feel sad and to cry about their break up.
Letting them express their feelings is very important because next time they will know it is okay to
express their feelings and they should not keep them bottled up. Third, the parent should encourage
them to spend time with their friends, but not push them to spend time with their friends. When the
child is ready to socialize, they will without hesitation. Lastly, the parent should share a story about
their young dating experiences. Sharing these stories shows the child that everyone goes through it,

SOWK 503 Fall 2012
Assignment #1: Article Critique
9/26/12
Julie Emmer LCSW CAP
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to critically critique and evaluate the study: Parenting a Child With a
Disibility: The Role of Social Support for African American Parents, written by Jung Hwa Ha, Jan S.
Greenburg, amp; Marsha Mallick Seltzer. This paper will critically apply the Ecological Perspective
and Systems Theory, to the social concern as it addressed in this study. This paper will accomplish this
critique by assessing the hypothesis, evaluating the method of study, and critically discussing the
results of the study in question by using the key concepts of the fore mentioned theories. Upon the

A social system is a special order of systems... composed of persons or groups of persons who interact
and influence each other s behavior. Within this order can be included persons families, organizations,
communities, societies, and cultures (Robbins, Chatterjee amp; Canda, 2011). The systems theory
allows us to examine the focal system from a micro, meso, or macro perspective. Keeping all of the
individual systems autonomous, while still being able to conceptualize the interrelatedness of the
systems together.
Similar to the systems theory, the ecological theory embraces many of the same concepts, but has
narrowed the focus, so that it does not include such a broad view of the system. The Ecological theory
is an adaptive, evolutionary view of human beings in constant exchange interchange with all elements
of their environment (Germain amp; Gitterman, 1980, p. 5). The idea that person and the environment
are inseparable and must be considered jointly, is primary assumption of this theory. The person and
his or her environment form a unitary system in which each is dependent on the other and directly
shapes each other.
Application of theory and key concepts The sample of population of this study was derived from a
population in the urban areas of Milwaukee. Even though this study did not disclose evidence
concerning the ecosystem and the environment of the subjects, it would be fair to assume that they are
victims of

Differences And Similarities Between Hitler And Mussolini
A Comparison between Hitler and Mussolini Both Hitler and Mussolini believed in totalitarianism
between the two world wars. Mussolini supported Italian Fascism, while Hitler supported German
Nazism. They had both great impact on the modern European history.
Firstly, I would like to start telling one of the similarities of Hitler and Mussolini.
Both were anti communist. They were both similar in this way because Hitler was against communism
and wanted to ensure a communist revolt wouldn t take place again. Hitler s policies were popular
with many sections of the German people. When he came to power in 1933, he caused a great wave of
enthusiasm and anticipation after the weak Weimar Republic . He pledged to violate the Treaty of
Versailles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were truly leaders to be remembered by Germany and Italy for years to come and they indeed
had a lot of similarities, while some aspects of them were different as well. They supported Nazism
and Fascism respectively. Some say that Hitler was the more capable leader, but in fact Mussolini was
Hitler s role model. Unfortunately, their deaths were quite tragic: Hitler committed suicide and
Mussolini got shot and hanged on a market.

  • 2. The Importance Of Physical Activity And Its Emphasis Anish Narayana KIN 240 01 Professor Curran April 12, 2016 The Importance Physical Activity and its Emphasis in schools Our lives are very busy with many activities to the point where we neglect our health. Over time the neglect results in various diseases and illnesses. In order to avoid this from happening, we need to make physical activity part of our lifestyle from an early age. Physical activity has many benefits while many young people of the future are still in school. According to the CDC, Center for Disease Control regular physical activity helps build strong muscles. (CDC) It helps reduce the chance of obesity and other diseases and helps improve an individual s mood and overall wellbeing (CDC Physical Activity Facts). Most students get their physical activity through school PE classes. These types of exercise are done for a short time and not enough for the recommended 30 to 45 minutes for most students according to the CDC. Along with giving employees a chance to give something back to the community, the festival allows an opportunity to say thank you to customers and staff by providing them with the chance to enjoy themselves for free. The sense of fun unites the businesses reminds employees of what the company stands for. In some ways it s easier for a large organization like Virgin to embark on such projects, but with a little inventiveness and resourceful thinking, other business owners might come up with shot in the arm schemes of their own (Entrepreneur, 2012). Over the centuries, Christianity has divided into vast amount of denominations, because some Christians worship in different ways and believe in different parts of the Bible. According to arabamericanmuseum.org, each denomination has its own distinctive beliefs or practices, but they are generally considered a branch of mainstream Christianity if they agree on core doctrines like the divinity of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible. The three main largest denominations of Christianity are Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestant, with Catholicism being the largest. Christians believe that there is only one god, but that there are three elements of God, including the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Hooker s hint of insanity develops at the beginning of the book, when he goes on to describe the conditions in which he lives in, and goes on to state that his ...house was just on the outskirts of town, unlike the rest of the town s people. All through the house they closed doors and drew shades, they got dead quiet. That is how his father liked it after Jessie came home (Findley 9). This life of isolation has already given Hooker the incentive to detach from society, as he is constantly seen as a character that has trouble with understanding societal ideals. He is seen as a character who has been forced to detach from society when his mother Jessie comes home wanting to live in isolation after the miscarriage of her unborn child; therefore allowing some of his mothers negative behaviours about life to rub off on him. Through the characterization of Hooker, Findley explores the vice potential of such a subject, who becomes the servant of destruction of the social structures that produced him. In Julie Salem Wiseman s essay Insanity Begins at Home: Madness in the Family in Timothy Findley s Last of the Crazy People, she states that Findley creates a Laingian portrait of how a disordered and degenerate social reality of which the Winslows especially Hooker are an extreme representation produces subjects who have not only internalized the social pathology that has formed them but also use the ... • 32. Dreams As A Mode Of Freedom The theme of dreams as a mode of freedom, an escape, is commonly seen in the literature of African American writers that can be traced as far back as the Negro Spirituals during the time of slavery. While the motif of dreams is used far and wide in African American literature, it is in no way a static matter, but rather a dynamic entity that writers internalize and redefine to express the sentiments of their time. The meaning of the dream progressed accordingly to racial tensions in the country and the freedom African Americans were allotted to express themselves politically and creatively. Starting with Negro Spirituals, hopes and dreams were often connected to a desire of death to escape slavery. Following emancipation though, the dream motif began to articulate a more hopeful future. While some of the poems by the Harlem Renaissance writer Langston Hughes harbor a melancholy attitude echoing that of the Negro Spirituals, Hughes s work can mainly be seen as the turning point for how the motif of dreams would be portrayed in the works of prominent black authors and figureheads. Langston Hughes was the beginning of the positive portrayal of the dream. At the time, Hughes flourished within his community and it wouldn t be until many years later that the full breadth of his work would be celebrated. He inspired the likes of Lorraine Hansberry and Martin Luther King Jr. to bring his message to the nation. The dreams expressed by Hansberry and King Jr. reflects those of Hughes ...
