Steve Jobs And The History Of Apple
Everyone knows about Steve Jobs and the history of Apple. Apple is a worldwide known business
that is arguably one of the most popular in the technology industry today. Things like the IPhone,
IPod, and Macbook are some of the most popular products but that is not where things started.
Steve Jobs was one of the entrepreneurs that started apple and is the most widely known. Things
did not always look so pretty however. Steve Jobswas a good friend of Steve Wozniak. They joined
together to create a computer. They were inspired to build something all people could afford. In
the article, History of Apple, 1976 2016: The story of Steve Jobs and the company he founded it

It was to really show the people around me, to boast, to be clever, to get acknowledgement for
having designed a very inexpensive computer (Rawlinson). This was all just to show people a
computer did not have to be expensive. It proved that computers could be affordable for all.
Wozniak was happy with what he had produced, although Jobs saw otherwise. The Woz we
know now has a larger than life personality he s funded rock concerts and shimmied on Dancing
with the Stars but, as he told the Sydney Morning Herald, I was shy and felt that I knew little
about the newest developments in computers. He came close to ducking out altogether, and
giving the Club a miss. Let s be thankful he didn t. Jobs saw the computer, recognised its
brilliance, and sold his VW microbus to help fund its production. Wozniak sold his HP
calculator, and together they founded Apple Computer Inc on 1 April 1976 (Rawlinson).
Thanks to Steve Jobs ability to see what was there, Apple was founded and given the ability to
what we see Apple is today. Although Apple does make many profits, it has succeeded in its
original company goal. Which is, as the article, Steve Jobs: An Extraordinary Career states, We
started out to get a computer in the hands of everyday people, and we succeeded beyond our
wildest dreams. Steve Jobs (Entrepreneur Staff) . This is one of the reasons Apple is so successful.

Roman Architecture Essay
When one thinks of Roman architecture, many things come to mind, such as arches, columns,
statues, and richly covered surfaces in marbles. One must stop to think that this empire, which
gained power and influence in the first century BC, must have been influenced from the thousands
of years of cultures preceding them in order to create their masterpieces of ingenuity. This
phenomenon can be seen in our borrowing of ideas of ancient Greece and Romefor the construction
of our capitol buildings in the United States. The Romans surely considered design principles of
other cultures when developing their buildings, since daily conquests of new lands opened Roman
soldiers eyes to innovations from the great vastness of their empire. This... Show more content on

Doing so, he managed to design the most captivating section of his estate, the Great Canopus and
Serapeum, which have roots in ancient architecture, while also displaying Hadrian s own capability
to produce innovative designs through many different elements of their construction.
Ancient Egypt, which lasted as a powerful empire from 3150 to 30 BC, left a huge legacy on the
world of construction and architecture. Although their architecture revolved around veneration of
the dead, it served as inspiration to many Greek buildings and as a key source for Hadrian s
Canopus design. Through his travels to Alexandria, Egypt, Hadrian was inspired for the overall
design of the estate by attempting to recreate an Alexandrian garden with sacred landscapes, as
seen through the Villa s structures conforming to the terrain. Unfortunately, in the 16th century
AD, these example of an Alexandrian garden, created through the use of statuary and fountains
were removed from Hadrian s villa and re used in order to create a Renaissance garden based
upon Roman ideals of gardening. The large lake in the center of the Canopus is representative of
a branch of the Nile River that connects Alexandria to the Egyptian city of Canopus on the Nile
Delta, for which this section of his villa was named after. The city of Canopus was long revered for
its great nocturnal celebrations for which Hadrian wanted to recreate through

Beowulf Is Most Important Pieces Of English Literature
Beowulf is one of the most important pieces of English literature. The epic poem is said to be a
great representation of the Anglo Saxon era. Written by an anonymous monk between 800 and
1000 A.D., Beowulf displays Anglo Saxon practices, beliefs, values, and religion. Beowulf is not
only a fascinating story, but also a primary source for the time period. Serving as a primary source
document, scholars can have a deep understanding of the Anglo Saxon culture. They can learn
about the Old English language, their customs and beliefs, and what they valued. This is why
Beowulfis one of the most important pieces of English literature. Even though Beowulf serves as a
primary document, it still, however, has a mystery behind it. Some of the... Show more content on

Christians believe in one all powerful, all knowing God. Their source of wisdom is from the
Holy Bible, which was, at the time, only copied and written by monks. Christians value
brotherly love, forgiveness, the love of God, and other various things. In contrast of paganism,
Christians view treasure as one of the seven deadly sins because hoarding it leads to greed.
Although, similar to paganism, Christians value sharing. They believe it is good to share one s
fortune to those less fortunate than themselves. Doing such a task gives them a sense of good
morals and the grace of God. Certainly Christian and pagan beliefs are both represented in
Beowulf. Based on what the world knows, Beowulf was written by an anonymous monk. At the
time, England was converted to Christianity. The world, however, does not know why there are
Christian connections in Beowulf. The biggest conspiracy is the monk wanted to blend Christian
customs with the Anglo Saxon s, so there was not a threat to convert people by force. Many
scholars believe that Christians had done this centuries before the epic poem was written. Although,
for a brief moment, paganism was briefly mentioned in Beowulf. Sometimes at pagan shrines they
vowed offerings to idols, swore oaths that the killer of souls might come to their aid and save their
people. That was their way, their heathenish hope; deep in their hearts they remembered

Stand For The Value Of RE In The School Curriculum
For RE to be taught efficiently and sustainably it is important to spend some time thinking about
Why it s taught? And how it can be delivered? This is where NASACRE (The National

Why Do Women Stay Alive
Though not much is known about pre historic man or woman, I have to guess that the struggle to
stay alive alone must have taken all of early man s time both day and night. Based on this thought,
it is hard for me to imagine how roles outside the main task of staying alive would have been
divided by gender. Women and men both probably foraged for edible foods and probably hunted
together in pairs I would guess. Since groups were small I imagine roles were shared equally. As
the groups became larger, more organized and more advanced in agriculture, gender roles probably
became more prominent. In early times, a womans primary role became childbearing and keeping
the home environment, whether it be in a cave, mud hut or other structure.... Show more content on

In order to compensate for what men cannot do, they tell women that they may not do other
things. Pregnancy, birthing, and nursing have always constituted a no man s land. In response to
this circumstance, men have, throughout history and across cultures, set up a variety of no
woman s lands : war, politics, clergy, business, men s clubs, and so forth. From which activities
women are excluded varies from one culture to another, but some form of exclusion can be found
in all societies. (2000, McElvaine, Robert S.; Eve s Seed : Biology, the Sexes, and the Course of

By 2,500 B.C., communities and cities were formed in many different areas, complete with
laws, codes, and rulers. In the middle eastern region that was known as Mesopotamia, although
there were many different cultures, there were also similarities among the groups, especially
where women were concerned. Unless a woman was the wife or daughter of a ruler or another
man with a title of authority, she made no choices of her own. Her marriage was arranged and a
dowry or bride price was given. If a woman worked outside the home, it was to sell homemade
goods. Women of that time also became mid wives and pharmacologists of sorts, they developed

Argument On Santa Clauses
Santa Claus was well known as a kind man who had a long white bread, wore big red white
clothes and carried children s gifts with his flying reindeers as a vehicle. Christians all around
the world have had Santa traditions since the 1820 s, which is lying children to believe in Santa,
hang a sock on the window, behave nicely and go to bed early so that Santa can come and give
them presents (Sleepypanda 2013). Until December 2016, psychologists claimed that Santa myth
could destroy children s trust to parents. All children will eventually find out they ve been
consistently lied to for years, and this might make them wonder what other lies they ve been told,
(Boyle McKay 2016)
Based on my experience, when I was in elementary school, I remember the time that my English
teacher asked us to write postcard, she said that she would send the most beautiful postcard in the
class to Santa Clause, so we put high effort to create an outstanding postcard. They also asked us to
behave nicely for all day because Santa would come to the room and gave good children a present.
In that time, the reason I believed what they lied because I thought that teacher always teach student
the true and right thing, so they must tell us the truth as well. But, as time goes ... Show more

How Is Andries Gouw And Hiding Behind Simple Things
This research essay is based on Andries Gouws series of oil paintings entitled Hiding Behind
Simple Things . The reason that this specific series of artworks has been chosen, is because it fits
in almost perfectly with the theme I have chosen to embark upon, in terms of subject matter,
medium, composition, and style. Both artworks analyze society s oblivion to life, and how the
beauty in life so often goes unnoticed. It comments on how society has become entrapped in the rat
race of modern day living. Both artworks do this by paintingsmall, often unnoticed, objects that
surround society every day.
Hiding Behind Simple Things comprises of a series of photorealistic oil paintings that portray
mundane, everyday, common objects. Both my works, Egg Shells and Crumpled Can , as well as
Hiding Behind Simple Things , make use of the same medium, oil paint. Similar subject matter has
also been used in both artworks, in that mundane, everyday objects are captured in both. They are
also both making a comment on how society has become oblivious to the simple things around
them. People are too caught up in their own world, in their own rat race, that they fail to see the
beauty in everything around them, including the beauty deep within themselves, in their souls.

again, and re in touch with ourselves and who we have become. This can only be done if we slow

Factors to Determine the Validity of Information Sources...
Individuals such as university or high school students are, at one point or another in their
studies, faced with the task of having to write a technical report that involves a research
(specifically focused on existing material). There is an abundance of information available in the
world today, which covers a vast amount of fields and all this information is readily available to
the public but it is often unclear to these students that all the information available may not always
be credible and actually reliable or even true. The negligence of these students often results in non
factual research papers that are poorly written up. The failure to check for reliable sources may
lead to inadvertent plagiarism too. This report focuses on what makes sources of information more
reliable and credible than others, with a specific focus on research reports.
Readers seek sources of information that is trustworthy. That the creator, author or researcher s
ideas are their own is substantiated mainly by evidence. When given the task to have a research
report written up, it usually entails doing research and finding information created by others, this
being the case, it is imperative that credible information should be used. Remember that if your
audience has found the source you have cited from as a non credible source it could result in the
relationship between you and your audience to suffer. There are various factors that determine the
validity of a credible source of information,

The Importance Of An Ecosystem
An ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical
environment. An ecosystem consists of biotic factors and abiotic factors. The biotic factors of
an ecosystem are the living organisms, while the abiotic factors of an ecosystem are the
temperature, climate, sun, and the weather. The ecosystem being researched is the Great Barrier
Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is located right off of Australia. The Great Barrier Reef has around
400 types of coral and 1,500 species of fish. It has more than 3000 different reef systems. The
Great Barrier Reef is one of the natural wonders of the world, and for good reason. On the Great
Barrier Reef lives the Whitetip Reef Shark, Triaenodon Obesus, prefers to eat crabs and octopi,
as well as other animals of the sea. The scientific name for the octopus is Octopoda. The
relationship between the Whitetip and the octopus is an example of predation. Predation is the
preying of one animal on other animals. The species of octopi are usually mostly carnivores,
although some are omnivores. The Whitetip Reef Shark species is also a carnivorous species.
Another organism that lives on the reef is the sea cucumber. The sea cucumber, or Holothuroidea,
is a decomposer that lives on the reef floor and eats animal wastes as it crawls along. A threat to
the reef, specifically the coral, is the Acanthaster planci, otherwise known as the crown of thorns
starfish. This starfish is a predator to the coral because it eats the live

Self-Reliance In Thoreau And Ralph Waldo Emerson
SELF RELIANCE
Self Reliance is to depend on one s own powers and resources rather than the influence, opinions,
and directives of others. Emerson s concept of self reliance is that each person should listen to
their inner voice, instead of others around them. Emerson speaks strongly on how others tend to
follow the popular choice, or the crowd that leads the way but does not to follow one s conscious
and what one truly feels. When Emerson says you find those who think they know your duty
better than you know it he hopes to advice people, to trust their own choices and decisions; instead
of those who feel like they have it all out for you.
Thoreau and Emerson has both stressed of the idea of self reliance in their works. Thoreau and
Waldo both accept that nature is what strengthens us not to depend on others thoughts but to rely
on our own. Like Emerson preaches, Thoreau looked to live a simple life, in order to discover
deeper meaning in life. Emerson wants to, get the whole and genuine meanness of it meaning he

Thoreau leaped into the woods with an attempt to experience on his own, and to learn for himself
what self reliance truly was. As Thoreau farther learned what self reliance was from experience,
including his own imagination, he was a man who could faithfully say he took action into what he
preached. Thoreau and Emerson both came to the thought that people rely on the government to a
horrible extent , when determining things that take place or choices for them. Thoreau followed
that by saying people must do what they feel is right; they have an obligation NOT to support what
they feel is wrong as he refer to those in society, that is still allowing themselves to get caught up in
other inner thoughts and feels, instead of speaking out and think for

Department Business Targets Into Our Daily Routines
department business targets into our daily routines. Using the MBO methodology of collaborative
planning GTPLS Gippsland operation has developed an activity based strategic plan that focuses
on our efforts towards the delivery of specific outcomes. These outcomes will in turn, lead to the
achievement of our goals and reaching the company s vision.
The success of this plan / strategy relies on a commitment to implementation and regular monitoring
of our progress no matter what we strive to achieve with the business planning process it will
become an exercise in theory unless there are mechanisms by which progress towards our stated
outcomes are reviewed and measured. To that end, the introduction of performance measurement is
the key to this plan and The Company s financial management (including contracted accountant)
will be responsible for collation of data and monitoring of business plan activities for presentation at
proposed monthly management meeting s with the key performance information being formally
reported to management and GTPLS staff at that time.
While dedicated planning is essential, rigid adherence to a faulty plan will lead to poor
performance or failure. A key aspect of successful planning is ongoing evaluation and flexibility,
and it is intended that this plan will be reviewed on a regular basis. This will ensure that all key
business targets and activities remain appropriate mechanisms for achieving both company s sales
targets and strategic goals.

Deviance, Crime, And Crime
I found the topic Deviance and Crime to be particularly interesting because both terms concern
individuals departing from norms and laws in society. The feelings that Deviance and Crime
evoke in me are curiosity and compassion. I believe I feel curious about this topic, because of the
underlying motives that people can have for acting the way they do. Also, it really fascinates me
to learn the ways in which deviance and crime are constructed within a society, and the ties it has
to race, class, and gender. Compassion goes hand in hand with curiosity, because comprehending
motives will lead me to a brand new perspective. There are a few things I already know regarding

Christianity In Today s Christian Bible
Finally, Christianity is the most prominent religion practiced throughout the world with over 2
billion followers. Christianity is based upon the teachings of the said son of God Jesus of Nazareth
and his disciples. It is originally taught in Aramaic and later Greek, and its teachings can be found
in the modern Christian Bible. Today s Christian Bible is divided in two parts, the Old Testament,
written accounts and teachings before the birth of Jesus, which is what Judaism uses, and then the
New Testament, which are stories and teachings that involve Jesus and his disciples. The Christian
faith establishes a Holy Trinity, where Godis embodied in three different aspects, God himself, in

Today In Society People Are Starting To Gradually Become
Today in society people are starting to gradually become more open to the transvestite

someone dresses as the opposite sex doesn t mean that they still couldn t be attracted to the
opposite sex. When people see a male or female dressed as the opposite sex their automatic
assumption is that there gay but that s not always the case. A male or female might want to dress
in the opposite sex because either they don t want to be labeled by their clothing or they like to

in this paper the term Symbolic Interactionism was brought up, it comes into play because of the

the reaction that Mrs. Potato head gave to her husband. As she was growing up she was probably

Just because we got the impression by her body posture and facial expressions that she was upset

Truman Capote Rhetorical Analysis
In Kansas of the year 1959, there happened to be murders of a pretty popular family in a small
town called Holcomb. These murders led to an extremely intense investigation. Truman wrote a
nonfiction book about this whole situation, his story follows the lives of the murderers before,
during and after murders took place. It also shows the panic and anxiety of the citizens who also
lived in Holcomb, and finally the consequences the murderers received. The famous author Truman
Capoteused rhetorical devices such as foreshadowing, symbolism and imagery to set an intended
tone and enhance his writing style.
Capote used foreshadowing to create a mystery and suspense for the reader to get them interested
early. He establishes that four shotgun blasts that, all told, ended six human lives. (5) This
warns the readers that someone will die and creates suspense knowing people will die we just
don t know who. After we learn more about the Clutters, he shows a discussion between Mr.
Clutter and some hunters that want to use his land and then as Mr. Clutter is leaving, the author
reminded the audience that a death was going to occur by stating: he headed for home and the
day s work, unaware that it would be his last. (13) Additionally, Capote also foreshadows that
Perry and Dick are going to be the murderers by giving subtle hint; for instance, in the backseat of
the Chevrolet sedan was a twelve gauge pump action shotgun, brand new. (22) This was used to

Is Clara Barton A True Hero
Arthur Ashe once said, True heroism is not the urge to surpass others at whatever cost, but the
urge to serve others at whatever cost. Someone who stays strong in their heart and shows
selflessness towards others even though he or she could be in the risk of personal risk and
danger is what makes a true hero. Anyone could be recognized and admired as a hero if they
could, but there s a big gap in front of that because it adds on with the hero showing compassion in
spite of the obstacles that they are faced with. It could make someone more heroic than he or she
ever was by just showing selflessness to others. Clara Bartonput herself in danger to treat the
wounded during the Civil War and not only that, but she founded what is known today the
American Red Cross(History.com). Harriet Tubman helped many slaves to freedom in the north,
also placing herself in peril. (History.com). Florence Nightingale, who was a nursing innovator did
the similar as Clara Barton, but during the Crimean War(History.com Biography.com). All of these
women stressed the idea of helping others before they did so for themselves, but that took bravery
to do so. Whether the challenges that a hero has to endure, a true hero puts others before themselves
no matter what the position he or she is set in.
To begin with, Clara Barton was not only the founder of the American Red Cross, a relief to those

Dead Men Tell No Tales Analysis
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales
The best and worst Pirates film is the same film.
The most recent Pirates of the Caribean movie Dead Men Tell no Tales has some of the most
interesting and entertaining filmic devices while also having a contrite and contrived narrative that
is weakened by poor technical.
The film opens with a small child (Brenton Thwaites). He gets in a boat. He has a map. He
paddles out into open waters. He throws a bag of rocks into the ocean; the bag tied to his leg. He
waits and jumps in as the bag pulls him deep beneath the water. Intrigue established, the audience
has no idea who this kid is. Maybe it s the child of someone important or maybe this story is an
allegory for something else. Before anyone can truly begin to ponder whether or not this movie
about to turn really dark into suicide, the child lands on the dock of a sunken ship. Then the ship
rises.

The Groundings With My Brothers Summary
On June 16, 2015, a long time television and real estate magnate by the name of Donald J. Trump
opened his presidential campaign by uttering one of the most racially insensitive remarks in today s
time when he elucidated upon that notion that Mexican immigrants who come to America are not
model citizens but rather rapists and murderers who undermine the legitimacy and economic
fortitude of the American experiment. This racist and xenophobic remark illustrates just how
entrenched the notion of white supremacy or as Walter Rodney would call it the white cultural
imperialismideologyis inextricably tied to the understanding of our society today. Because of this
problematic ideology, there must be some sort of opposition to fight against such... Show more

In particular, Walter Rodney s third argument about the role of black intellectual in integrating one s
self with the happening s of the black masses is particularity intriguing. Here, I posit that Rodney is
making an argument about the need for solidary within politically repressed minority communities
like those of the African American community. I agree with Rodney that through the acceptance
and affirmation of the connections that we share with each of our brothers and sisters that it helps
us move in a path in which all of those who are the most marginalized within our society stand a
chance to benefit in the long run. Solidary is important to liberation and in reforming the
oppressive structures under which we live.
Moreover, I agree with the argument Rodney posits when he tasks black intellectuals to not
believe and challenge the social myth of the multi racial society. In this instance, I think that
Rodney is making a broader point about how pervasive and powerful ideology can be.
Essentially, in a sort of Marxist spin, it is my belief that Rodney is saying that people in power
often times make relationships and ideas seem more legitimate than they actually are in order to
cause one to be obscured to

This research is designed to answer the following question: Does the quality of a person s
relationships with their parents and with their peers influence the extent to which that person
engages in marijuana use? Data for this study come from the [seventh wave of the] National Youth
Survey (NYS). The NYS is a nationally representative, longitudinal survey of 1,725 U.S. youth
between the ages of 11 and 17 at the time of the first interview in early 1977. Respondents were
interviewed annually through 1981 (Waves 1 5) and then again in 1984 (Wave 6) and 1987 (Wave
7). By the last wave of interviews, respondents were between the ages of 21 and 27 years (King
South, 2011, p. 107). The variables used consisted of two independent variables, Perceived
Disapproval by Parents Towards Deviance and Perceived Disapproval by Peers Towards Deviance,
and the dependent variable of Marijuana Use. The variable Perceived Disapproval by Parents was
operationalized by creating a composite variable from the following questions: PARENTS OPIN:

Wireless Devices and Applications
I.INTRODUCTION
In these modern times when communication has become a fundamental tool for progress and
advancement on many terms, it is already considered an imperative for many companies and
businesses to improve their communication and information technology. The advent of new
technologies and the introduction of newer softwares and tools necessary for survival in the tough
and competitive market make it possible for many businesses and companies to reach their
employees, other partner markets or businesses and even their customers while on the move. This
is the gift of wireless devices and applications technology.
Wireless devices and applications (WDA) are used by many organizations in their various

It s like being trapped in a black hole and you ll get mad repeating it over and over again.
Seriously, a customer wouldn t be impressed by this system. It may be true that WDA gives us a lot
of conveniences than ever but it s like investing on your business graveyard if you leave your
communication unit unmanaged and unpolished. As Krotz (2008) suggested, technology, indeed,
can never replace human help for customers. Excellent customer service still depends on how
personnel treats and interacts with the customers, not with how efficient the WDA works.
WIRELESS USAGE EXPENSE. Constant calls by the employees not only to unwilling
customers but even to the offices just to check their mails or any agenda also contributes to
towering wireless bills from service providers. The problem with some employees is that they
have fooled themselves that wireless technology is also charge free. Actually, it is otherwise.
Companies spend a lot on these services and by lot it may mean hundreds of thousands to even
millions for communication alone. Aside from these business calls, there are still other calls which
are out of the business or under the table calls which these employees may make. The high cost
that the company pays may not lead to anything useful at all. In the case where an employee s call
credit has exceeded the amount of money his customer/s has brought

Romeo And Juliet 1996 Vs 1996
The Romeo and Juliet film adaptation that I preferred was Baz Luhrmann s 1996 adaptation.
The two films, even though they were about the same story of star cross d lovers, were
completely different. The 1996 version made the timeless classic, Romeo and Juliet, much more
modern and relatable. The decision to depict Romeo and Juliet, in a bustling city was a daring
move, but was still able to convey the theme that Shakespeare had intended nearly 400 years ago.
The costumes in the 2013 version were much more realistic with peasants, kings, and townspeople
being dressed, similarly to how they would have been dressed during Shakespeare s times. On the
other hand, the characters in the 1996 version were dressed with t shirts and adorned with

The Bible Of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints
Religion 121 A
Prof. Cory Sackett
Research Paper
One of the largest struggles for members in the church is animosity of non members. On one hand,
many express their dislike of the LDS church without even knowing what Sacrament Meeting is or
the full the title of the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). On the
other hand, there are a number supposed experts about Mormon doctrine. Some have belonged to
the Church themselves at one point, leaving after finding unresolved dissonance between their
beliefs and the Gospel. Others are often learned scholars, criticizing the Mormon doctrine to
prove their own views. The following paper involves the latter of the two in an analysis of
Ezekiel 37:15 17, a Biblical scripture that the LDS Church believes to refer to The Book of
Mormon.
LDS Interpretation of Ezekiel s Prophecy
The Church interpretation of Ezekiel s prophecy is quite simple. In Ezekiel 37:15 17 from the
King James Bible, it reads:
The word of the Lord came again unto me saying, Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick,
and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick,
and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
This scripture is an explanation in LDS gospel as to how the Book of Mormon fulfills Bible
prophecies. Page 67 of A Marvelous Work and

A Single Shard Analysis
Everyone faces challenges in different ways and they overcome them in different ways. A Single

meaningful words that make Tree ear regret the thought of committing to suicide. Crane man had to

challenges throughout the story and learned lessons from them.
Tree ear faced, the biggest challenges when he lost his good friend, Crane man or when he

Magic In Mama Day By Gloria Naylor
Mama Day by Gloria Naylor portrays magic as a central force in the lives of the characters living
on Willow Springs, including George who is an outsider brought on the inside. The art of
enchantment or magic is the reason the island manages to sustain itself, regardless of pressures on
the outside (white capitalism) or on the inside. The entire novel is set on the premise of the
existence of an island so surreal and arguably idealistic, that black peopleare successfully governed
by themselves. Willow Springs could be portrayed as a utopia for African Americans living in a
racialized America. This paper seeks to explore the extents to which supernatural influences
characterize the lives of Sapphira, Miranda and Ruby, as well as establish the roles they serve
individually.
Sapphira Wade is made out to be the life force of Willow Springs, although she is dead, rendering
her to have omnipotent and omniscient powers. The legend according to the book is that Sapphira
Wade is an African woman who killed her former slave master and father to her seven children,
Bascombe Wade in 1823, and had him will the island to her. This is believed to have happened
through magic, for Sapphire Wade is said to have been A true conjure woman: satin black, biscuit

The Sting of Society
In Yusef Komunyakaa s Blackberries, a youthful speaker seems to be living past the boundaries
of city life and exhibits qualities of rural living. The poem tells of the speaker s adventure of
picking blackberries from a thicket and encountering the duality of urban society. Readers of
Blackberries might at first be puzzled by the speaker s youthful memory of picking berries, but a
closer analysis of the poem allows readers to recognize that the speaker s internal conflict originates
from strict societal boundaries and the loss of his childhood innocence.
From the beginning of the poem, the speaker tells of his naГЇve, consuming world of blackberries.

His name is Wautheeweela. It means Bright Horn, referring to horns on a deer. He is ten years
old, and ready to make his journey to prove his manhood. He and other boys from his Shawnee
tribe have been physically toughened and taught to be independent since an age of around six. In
winters, they have had to break the ice to jump into the freezing river to continue their daily routine
of learning to survive with Nature and its elements. Now will be his test of endurance. He is sent

The large buck comes out from behind a tree and shows itself. He pulls back his arrow. This is the
moment of truth for this young boy, a part of growing up in the Shawnee culture in central
Pennsylvania.
Central Pennsylvania was never known as to have been the permanent settlement for any large
group of Native Americans. It was more of a stop for traveling tribes or a place of refuge. The
Cherokees once passed through here in the early 17th century (Wallace, 1970). The Susquehannock
Indians were an Iroquois Indian tribe that settled the Susquehanna watershed before they migrated
to Maryland, near the Chesapeake Bay (Cadzow, 1936). The tribe that stayed the longest and had
the most influence on Central Pennsylvania was the Shawnee. The Shawnees were an Algonkian
people whose original home was most likely the Cumberland River in Tennessee. This southern
position gave them the name Shawnee, meaning southerners in the Algonkian language. The
Shawnees split up often and moved around a lot, they are noted to have lived in parts of
Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Their first known appearance in
Pennsylvania in great numbers was in 1697 (Harvey, 1855). The tribe had five main groups:
Chillicothe, Kispokotha, Pique, Sawekela, and the Makostrake (Johnson, 1937). These became so
intermixed that they are now indistinguishable. The reasons for these groups were mainly for
political and ritual purposes and did not affect

Creative Talent And Risk Of Pixar
Former CTO and current President of Pixar, Edwin Catmull, describes in his article How Pixar
Fosters Collective Creativity of 2008 the numerous aspects used at the pioneer of computer
animation for structuring and operating a creative organization. He bases his outline on the key
assumption that finding and supporting smart people is much more important to Pixar than good
individual ideas (Catmull, 2008). The principles and practices for managing creative talent and risk
are proven successful and were transferred to the revived Disney Animation Studio after the merger
in 2006.
Pixar sees its creativity supporting structure as a competitive advantage based on the fact that all
nine released films were huge commercial successes and scored with critics (Catmull, 2008).
Additionally, Pixar never hat to buy scripts or movie ideas from external sources. After the
article was written, Pixar released fived more films. All of them were again commercial
successes, but critics consistently received Cars 2 of 2011 as Pixar s First Bad Movie (Tyler,
2011). After 2008 and after the adaption of Pixar s organizational structure Disney Animation
Studios released seven new films, they showed an enormous increase in critical ratings and an
overall decent financial success (Kays, 2013).
After the bad reviews of Cars 2 and criticism about Pixar recently focusing too much on established
franchises, Catmull announced that the studio plans to significantly scale back its production of

Divergent Movie Analysis
Introduction: Divergent is an action film directed by Neil Burger. This film takes place in
Chicago, which is placed in a futuristic world where society divides people into five factions
based on their personalities. As each person grows up and becomes an adult they have to choose a
faction which they will stay in for the rest of their lives. Beatrice Prior is the main character in
Divergent and she changes a lot throughout the film, starting off as not knowing who she is and
why she isn t like everybody else. To finding out and learning who she is and becoming more
confident in herself. The director uses a variety of different film techniques including close ups,
and wide shots to show how Tris is feeling, and how she is changing throughout Divergent.
Paragraph 1: At the beginning of the film, Tris is very quiet and naive. She was born into the faction
Abnegation, they live a simple life, selfless, dedicated to helping others, this tells us that Tris s
life isn t exciting and she was born to put others before herself. When Tris is in her room, getting
ready for the choosing ceremony where she will get the chance to choose a new faction, the
director uses an over the shoulder shot to show her reflection in the mirror. Tris s face looks very
nervous and scared as to what faction she will choose and what it will be like. This helps the
audience understand that she is quite anxious for a new changeand wonders if she is still a part of

The Interpreter Of Maladies Analysis
Have you ever wondered what a person was actually feeling? Are they actually happy or was it all
just a show, a figurative mask? In the story The Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri, many
topics, including that of appearance, are generated. On the topic of appearance, everyone, including
those around you, puts on a figurative mask to cover or hide their true emotions. Characters in this
story use objects, ranging from cameras to a rear view mirror, to hide their feelingsfrom those
around them. The central theme of this story is that things aren t always as they appear and this
theme is developed using characterization and the motif of sight. The first character to begin
hiding their emotions using an object was Mr. Das, who used a camera to hide the fact that he
wants his family to seem happy. For instance, near the end of the story, when the family stops
near a cave to take a picture, Mr. and Mrs. Das argue when Mrs. Das doesn t want to get out of
the van with the family. Mr. Das says But we could use one of these pictures for our Christmas
card this year. We didn t get one of all five of us at the Sun Temple. Mr. Kapasi could take it.
(Lahiri, pg 24) In this piece of evidence, Mr. Das wants to take a picture as a family so it can be
used as a Christmas card. This family picture was supposed to cover the fact that Mrs. Das was
complaining about being in, to make them all seem happy, despite the fact that they may be feeling
something else. This is important to the theme, as it shows that the family may seem happy,
however, nothing is always as it seems. In addition, closer to the end of the story, when Mrs.
Das decides to be in the picture near the cave, Mrs. Das s child, Bobby goes missing. When Mrs.
Das is approaching, Mr. Das says, Just in time. We ll get Mr. Kapasi to take the picture of the
five of us. ... I don t know. Ronny, where s Bobby? (Lahiri, pg 28) In this piece of evidence, the
family gets ready to take the picture, when they realize, they don t know where Bobby is. As
previously mentioned, the family picture was to cover up what they re actually feeling and how
disorganized the family actually is, as in they had lost their child to find him getting beat by a
group of monkeys.

BHIND THE SHILED
BEHIND THE SHILED is a police drama that sends strong messages about the challenges that face
law enforcement. The messages are relevant and the events in the script are similar to real life
recent events involving civilians and law enforcement.
The story focuses on four cops patrolling the streets with the lead character of O Donnell being a
veteran cop struggling with both professional and personal issues. The script does a good job of
showing what patrol officers go through. It s similar to the film END OF WATCH.
While the messages are well appreciated, the script could use more development.

The Literary Style Of Edgar Allan Poe
No two authors are ever identical, they craft their stories precisely while mixing in their own style
to differentiate them from the others and allow them to stand out. Many respected authors use
literary devices to make the work their own. For instance, well renown author Edgar Allan Poe has
a style that is famous for its unusual usage of the many literary devices to contribute to his Gothic
writings. Poe s styleis bound together with what we see in most of his work such as using diction
to create allegories and allusions, using mood to create suspense, and symbolism to create a
meaning deeper than what our eyes see. To demonstrate an idea through words on a paper takes
a skillful writer, but to use those words to make the story a whole new idea than what is written,
the writer must have a style that is different and flexible such as Poe s. Poe takes a contrastive
path with diction in almost all of his works. Each word he uses is part of an overall view, such as
in the story The Raven , Poe uses vivid verbs and rare words to convey an idea that everything he
has written about is an allegory to the memories of Lenore. Also, one of his other works uses his
word choice to relate the narrator to the Book of Revelations. Poe uses the sentence And then my
vision fell upon the seven tall candles upon the table. , he uses this set of words to relate the
man in the black robes to the Judgement of Man in the Book of Revelations (Pit 1). Poe uses all
the help he can get from his words to compose something that stands out from other published
authors. His usage of allegories and allusions make his stories authentic. Mood plays an
enormous part in a narrative writing. It gives you a feel of the story and what the author is
trying to convey. Poe uses mood to make you feel what the narrator is feeling. Such as in The Pit
and the Pendulum , Poe uses repetition and imagery to create the mood of the story for us to feel
as if we were in the narrator s shoes. In most of Poe s works he uses mood and centers the whole
story around it to appeal to the audience. In Cask of Amontillado the narrator and Fortunato go
down to the catacombs of his ancestors. While getting lower into the catacombs, Poe starts to use the

This whole wind up is an inelastic process where kinetic energy is lost in the form of the ball
leaving the hand. So we have this transfer of energy from the body to the ball. The ball leaves the
hand on a 90 mph fastball at 97 mph. There is definitely a transfer of energy as the ball is in motion.
Newton s third law states; for every action on an object there will always be an equal and
opposite force exerted by that object. This beckons the question of what forces act against a
ball? There are 3 forces acting upon a ball once it is released; velocity, drag, and gravity all act
upon the ball. Here s how, velocity is the force pushing it forward it is generated by the person
throwing the ball, drag is the air resistance which pushes back against the velocity, and gravity
which is constant and pushes the ball down against the upward velocity. Those forces for sure
are slowing the pitch, yet it is not an equal force of the energy but into a pitch. When a bat
connects with a ball there is a collision and a transfer of energy. When the ball makes it to the
catcher then there is another collision and energy is conserved. In a nutshell here is the transfer of
energy, a pitcher puts a force on a baseball, the baseball travels through the air with air resistance,
gravity, and velocity acting upon the ball, when the ball travels 60 it will transfer its energy
completely by either being hit or being caught by the

Review Of Cybersecurity Risks Of Medical Device Software
REVIEW OF CYBERSECURITY RISKS OF MEDICAL DEVICE SOFTWARE
SURESH K. VELUPULA
FRANKLIN UNIVERSITY
COMP 650 R1WW, FALL 2014 Abstract
Nowadays, more and more medical devices are increasingly being converted or replaced from
electro mechanical devices to software controlled networked devices. Software for these medical
devices would need to be kept to update to keep up with the security (worms and viruses) concerns
and governing regulations while not risking the health of the patient. In this paper the author
analyzes the viewpoints and presents a review of the paper: Inside Risks: Controlling for
Cybersecurity Risks of Medical Device Software (Fu and Blum, 2013). Fu and Blum (2013)
give their views on the cybersecurity risks associated with the medical devices. Some of their
key points are: a) medical devices depend on software for providing care and services. b)
Security risks could cause harm to the patient. c) Post market surveillance of the medical device
is required. d) Health data integrity and availability of patient care are crucial as compared to
hacking of medical devices. e) Provide incentives to user facilities to report security vulnerabilities
and security incidents. f) Manufacturers should consider cybersecurity during design phase of the
medical device. g) Match the underlying software life cycles with the lifecycle of the medical
device. h) Standards and regulations to protect cybersecurity would need to be created and enforced
thoroughly. i) Provide

Classical Approach To Utilitarianism
2.1. Classical approach
The Classical approach for utilitarianism has two main prominent thinkers who are Jeremy Bentham
and John Stuart Mills.
Jeremy Bentham s concept of Utilitarianism
The concept of Utilitarianism was developed by Jeremy Bentham (1748 1832). He belonged to
the positivist school of Jurisprudence. According to him every human life is governed by two

Apple is a worldwide known business that is arguably one of the most popular in the technology industry today. Things like the IPhone, IPod, and Macbook are some of the most popular products but that is not where things started. Steve Jobs was one of the entrepreneurs that started apple and is the most widely known. Things did not always look so pretty however. Steve Jobswas a good friend of Steve Wozniak. They joined together to create a computer. They were inspired to build something all people could afford. Wozniak sold his HP calculator, and together they founded Apple Computer Inc on 1 April 1976 (Rawlinson). One must stop to think that this empire, which gained power and influence in the first century BC, must have been influenced from the thousands of years of cultures preceding them in order to create their masterpieces of ingenuity. This phenomenon can be seen in our borrowing of ideas of ancient Greece and Romefor the construction of our capitol buildings in the United States. Christians value brotherly love, forgiveness, the love of God, and other various things. In contrast of paganism, Christians view treasure as one of the seven deadly sins because hoarding it leads to greed. Although, similar to paganism, Christians value sharing. They believe it is good to share one s fortune to those less fortunate than themselves. Doing such a task gives them a sense of good morals and the grace of God. Certainly Christian and pagan beliefs are both represented in Beowulf. Based on what the world knows, Beowulf was written by an anonymous monk. At the time, England was converted to Christianity. The world, however, does not know why there are Christian connections in Beowulf. The biggest conspiracy is the monk wanted to blend Christian customs with the Anglo Saxon s, so there was not a threat to convert people by force. Many scholars believe that Christians had done this centuries before the epic poem was written. Although, for a brief moment, paganism was briefly mentioned in Beowulf. Sometimes at pagan shrines they vowed offerings to idols, swore oaths that the killer of souls might come to their aid and save their people. That was their way, their heathenish hope; deep in their hearts they remembered ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why Do Women Stay Alive Though not much is known about pre historic man or woman, I have to guess that the struggle to stay alive alone must have taken all of early man s time both day and night. Based on this thought, it is hard for me to imagine how roles outside the main task of staying alive would have been divided by gender. Women and men both probably foraged for edible foods and probably hunted together in pairs I would guess. Since groups were small I imagine roles were shared equally. As the groups became larger, more organized and more advanced in agriculture, gender roles probably became more prominent. The reason that this specific series of artworks has been chosen, is because it fits in almost perfectly with the theme I have chosen to embark upon, in terms of subject matter, medium, composition, and style. Both artworks analyze society s oblivion to life, and how the beauty in life so often goes unnoticed. It comments on how society has become entrapped in the rat race of modern day living. Both artworks do this by paintingsmall, often unnoticed, objects that surround society every day. Hiding Behind Simple Things comprises of a series of photorealistic oil paintings that portray mundane, everyday, common objects. Both my works, Egg Shells and Crumpled Can , as well as Hiding Behind Simple Things , make use of the same medium, oil paint. Similar subject matter has also been used in both artworks, in that mundane, everyday objects are captured in both. They are also both making a comment on how society has become oblivious to the simple things around them. People are too caught up in their own world, in their own rat race, that they fail to see the beauty in everything around them, including the beauty deep within themselves, in their souls. Individuals such as university or high school students are, at one point or another in their studies, faced with the task of having to write a technical report that involves a research (specifically focused on existing material). There is an abundance of information available in the world today, which covers a vast amount of fields and all this information is readily available to the public but it is often unclear to these students that all the information available may not always be credible and actually reliable or even true. The negligence of these students often results in non factual research papers that are poorly written up. The failure to check for reliable sources may lead to inadvertent plagiarism too. This report focuses on what makes sources of information more reliable and credible than others, with a specific focus on research reports. Readers seek sources of information that is trustworthy. That the creator, author or researcher s ideas are their own is substantiated mainly by evidence. When given the task to have a research report written up, it usually entails doing research and finding information created by others, this being the case, it is imperative that credible information should be used. Remember that if your audience has found the source you have cited from as a non credible source it could result in the relationship between you and your audience to suffer. The biotic factors of an ecosystem are the living organisms, while the abiotic factors of an ecosystem are the temperature, climate, sun, and the weather. The ecosystem being researched is the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is located right off of Australia. The Great Barrier Reef has around 400 types of coral and 1,500 species of fish. It has more than 3000 different reef systems. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the natural wonders of the world, and for good reason. On the Great Barrier Reef lives the Whitetip Reef Shark, Triaenodon Obesus, prefers to eat crabs and octopi, as well as other animals of the sea. The scientific name for the octopus is Octopoda. The relationship between the Whitetip and the octopus is an example of predation. Predation is the preying of one animal on other animals. The species of octopi are usually mostly carnivores, although some are omnivores. The Whitetip Reef Shark species is also a carnivorous species. Another organism that lives on the reef is the sea cucumber. The sea cucumber, or Holothuroidea, is a decomposer that lives on the reef floor and eats animal wastes as it crawls along. These murders led to an extremely intense investigation. Truman wrote a nonfiction book about this whole situation, his story follows the lives of the murderers before, during and after murders took place. It also shows the panic and anxiety of the citizens who also lived in Holcomb, and finally the consequences the murderers received. The famous author Truman Capoteused rhetorical devices such as foreshadowing, symbolism and imagery to set an intended tone and enhance his writing style. Capote used foreshadowing to create a mystery and suspense for the reader to get them interested early. He establishes that four shotgun blasts that, all told, ended six human lives. Someone who stays strong in their heart and shows selflessness towards others even though he or she could be in the risk of personal risk and danger is what makes a true hero. Anyone could be recognized and admired as a hero if they could, but there s a big gap in front of that because it adds on with the hero showing compassion in spite of the obstacles that they are faced with. LDS Interpretation of Ezekiel s Prophecy The Church interpretation of Ezekiel s prophecy is quite simple. In Ezekiel 37:15 17 from the King James Bible, it reads: The word of the Lord came again unto me saying, Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. This scripture is an explanation in LDS gospel as to how the Book of Mormon fulfills Bible prophecies. Page 67 of A Marvelous Work and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Magic In Mama Day By Gloria Naylor Mama Day by Gloria Naylor portrays magic as a central force in the lives of the characters living on Willow Springs, including George who is an outsider brought on the inside. The art of enchantment or magic is the reason the island manages to sustain itself, regardless of pressures on the outside (white capitalism) or on the inside. The entire novel is set on the premise of the existence of an island so surreal and arguably idealistic, that black peopleare successfully governed by themselves. Willow Springs could be portrayed as a utopia for African Americans living in a racialized America. The legend according to the book is that Sapphira Wade is an African woman who killed her former slave master and father to her seven children, Bascombe Wade in 1823, and had him will the island to her. The Cherokees once passed through here in the early 17th century (Wallace, 1970). The Susquehannock Indians were an Iroquois Indian tribe that settled the Susquehanna watershed before they migrated to Maryland, near the Chesapeake Bay (Cadzow, 1936). The tribe that stayed the longest and had the most influence on Central Pennsylvania was the Shawnee. The Shawnees were an Algonkian people whose original home was most likely the Cumberland River in Tennessee. This southern position gave them the name Shawnee, meaning southerners in the Algonkian language. The Shawnees split up often and moved around a lot, they are noted to have lived in parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Their first known appearance in Pennsylvania in great numbers was in 1697 (Harvey, 1855). The tribe had five main groups: Chillicothe, Kispokotha, Pique, Sawekela, and the Makostrake (Johnson, 1937). Creative Talent And Risk Of Pixar Former CTO and current President of Pixar, Edwin Catmull, describes in his article How Pixar Fosters Collective Creativity of 2008 the numerous aspects used at the pioneer of computer animation for structuring and operating a creative organization. He bases his outline on the key assumption that finding and supporting smart people is much more important to Pixar than good individual ideas (Catmull, 2008). The principles and practices for managing creative talent and risk are proven successful and were transferred to the revived Disney Animation Studio after the merger in 2006. Pixar sees its creativity supporting structure as a competitive advantage based on the fact that all nine released films were huge commercial successes and scored with critics (Catmull, 2008). Additionally, Pixar never hat to buy scripts or movie ideas from external sources. After the article was written, Pixar released fived more films. All of them were again commercial successes, but critics consistently received Cars 2 of 2011 as Pixar s First Bad Movie (Tyler, 2011). • 33. The Interpreter Of Maladies Analysis Have you ever wondered what a person was actually feeling? Are they actually happy or was it all just a show, a figurative mask? In the story The Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri, many topics, including that of appearance, are generated. On the topic of appearance, everyone, including those around you, puts on a figurative mask to cover or hide their true emotions. Characters in this story use objects, ranging from cameras to a rear view mirror, to hide their feelingsfrom those around them. The central theme of this story is that things aren t always as they appear and this theme is developed using characterization and the motif of sight. The first character to begin hiding their emotions using an object was Mr. Das, who used a camera to hide the fact that he wants his family to seem happy. For instance, near the end of the story, when the family stops near a cave to take a picture, Mr. and Mrs. Das argue when Mrs. Das doesn t want to get out of the van with the family. Mr. Das says But we could use one of these pictures for our Christmas card this year. We didn t get one of all five of us at the Sun Temple. Mr. Kapasi could take it. (Lahiri, pg 24) In this piece of evidence, Mr. Das wants to take a picture as a family so it can be used as a Christmas card. This family picture was supposed to cover the fact that Mrs. Das was complaining about being in, to make them all seem happy, despite the fact that they may be feeling something else. This is important to the theme, as it shows that the family may seem happy, however, nothing is always as it seems. In addition, closer to the end of the story, when Mrs. Das decides to be in the picture near the cave, Mrs. Das s child, Bobby goes missing. When Mrs. Das is approaching, Mr. Das says, Just in time. • 35. The Literary Style Of Edgar Allan Poe No two authors are ever identical, they craft their stories precisely while mixing in their own style to differentiate them from the others and allow them to stand out. Many respected authors use literary devices to make the work their own. For instance, well renown author Edgar Allan Poe has a style that is famous for its unusual usage of the many literary devices to contribute to his Gothic writings. Poe s styleis bound together with what we see in most of his work such as using diction to create allegories and allusions, using mood to create suspense, and symbolism to create a meaning deeper than what our eyes see. To demonstrate an idea through words on a paper takes a skillful writer, but to use those words to make the story a whole new idea than what is written, the writer must have a style that is different and flexible such as Poe s. Poe takes a contrastive path with diction in almost all of his works. Each word he uses is part of an overall view, such as in the story The Raven , Poe uses vivid verbs and rare words to convey an idea that everything he has written about is an allegory to the memories of Lenore. Also, one of his other works uses his word choice to relate the narrator to the Book of Revelations. Poe uses the sentence And then my vision fell upon the seven tall candles upon the table. , he uses this set of words to relate the man in the black robes to the Judgement of Man in the Book of Revelations (Pit 1). Poe uses all the help he can get from his words to compose something that stands out from other published authors. His usage of allegories and allusions make his stories authentic. Mood plays an enormous part in a narrative writing. It gives you a feel of the story and what the author is trying to convey. Poe uses mood to make you feel what the narrator is feeling. Such as in The Pit and the Pendulum , Poe uses repetition and imagery to create the mood of the story for us to feel as if we were in the narrator s shoes. In most of Poe s works he uses mood and centers the whole story around it to appeal to the audience. In Cask of Amontillado the narrator and Fortunato go down to the catacombs of his ancestors. This whole wind up is an inelastic process where kinetic energy is lost in the form of the ball leaving the hand. So we have this transfer of energy from the body to the ball. The ball leaves the hand on a 90 mph fastball at 97 mph. There is definitely a transfer of energy as the ball is in motion. Newton s third law states; for every action on an object there will always be an equal and opposite force exerted by that object. This beckons the question of what forces act against a ball? There are 3 forces acting upon a ball once it is released; velocity, drag, and gravity all act upon the ball. Here s how, velocity is the force pushing it forward it is generated by the person throwing the ball, drag is the air resistance which pushes back against the velocity, and gravity which is constant and pushes the ball down against the upward velocity. Those forces for sure are slowing the pitch, yet it is not an equal force of the energy but into a pitch. When a bat connects with a ball there is a collision and a transfer of energy. When the ball makes it to the catcher then there is another collision and energy is conserved. In a nutshell here is the transfer of energy, a pitcher puts a force on a baseball, the baseball travels through the air with air resistance, gravity, and velocity acting upon the ball, when the ball travels 60 it will transfer its energy completely by either being hit or being caught by the ... According to him every human life is governed by two hedonistic principles that is pleasure and pain. He believed that every individual tries to maximize his own and pleasure and also decrease pain as much as possible. For the business analyst, examples of objects may range from; invoice, product, contract, etc. Objects usually contain attributes that can be set to specific values. With Object Oriented Approach to system design, it tries to lessen the impact of problems by combining related data and functions into the same module.
