victims are wide open. It can be unexpected, terrifying, a nightmare to see the dreaded two lines on
the test especially as a teenager. Even if teenagers are old enough to decide whether or not they
want to engage in sexual intercourse, the rate of teenage pregnancy should be reduced as much as
possible. Teenage pregnancy is not only expensive, but also puts the lives of the mother and child
in danger. Teenage pregnancy is not a new concept, having been around since the dawn of humanity.

All stars are born in nebulae. Nebulae are huge cold clouds of gas and dust. The formation of
protostars requires huge clouds of gas and dust collapsing under gravitational forces. The stage of
a protostar last an approximate of 50 million years. As stars grow, they also expand. When the
core runs out of hydrogen and helium, the contacts and outer layers of the core expand, become
cold, and the brightness decreases. This is also known as a Red Giant or a Red Supergiant which

Two Major Control Theories
Travis Hirschi developed two major control theories which are influential in criminology today
(Lecture). Hirschi first theory was Social Bond Theory which he explained in his paper Causes in
Delinquency, published in 1969 (Lecture). Hirschi criticized his theory and moved the locus of
control from the person s position in society to what internally drove the person not to commit crime
(Cullen Text, Part VI). In 1990, Hirschi discounted Social Bond Theory and teamed up with

commitment, involvement and belief (Cullen Text, Part VI). Attachment was the person s
emotional attachment to others (Cullen Text, Part VI). A person may refrain from a criminal act
depending on what he perceives others will think of him after the event. Commitment is the
person s investment into their future (Cullen Text, Part18). If they are invested into their future,
they may not jeopardize it by committing a crime. Involvement is the person s participation in

Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut is a short story about Hazel, George and their son Harrison,

Many characters in stories have one fatal flaw that can eventually lead to his or her downfall. In
The Once and Future King by T.H. White and The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, the
love triangle between King Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot is revealed. Guinevere is married to
Arthur, but she has feelings for Lancelot who is Arthurs most trusted knight. Each of these three

From 1598 1606, Don Juan de Orate colonized the Rio Grande area. The Spanish settlers came with

Since I am a freshman, and this was my first colloquium, I did not know what to expect. I select
Greek life, bullying in adulthood, and the Great Blasket Islands. Bullying in adulthood got
cancelled and I went to human trafficking and domestic violence instead. I was very interested in
learning new information about these interesting topics. I was especially excited about hearing
Mrs. Gertz talk about her trip to the Great Blasket Islands. I have her for English and she got me
hooked the first time she mentioned she would be doing her chat over her trip. The first chat I
went to was over Greek life and the whole era in general. The most interesting story that the
professor told was about Oedipus. Laius and Jocasta are the king and queen on Thebes. The
king goes to a fortune teller because they are having trouble conceiving a child. He is told, they
will have a child, but his son will kill him and marry and have children with the queen. They
send the child to someone far away, so the prophesy cannot be filled. The young boy ends up
becoming a king somewhere else then goes out and meets his father and they fight and he kills
his father. He had no idea who the man was. He ventures out and kills a sphynx and then becomes
king because of that. He never thought the place he now ended up at was supposed to be his true

A.The article is really focusing on whether immigrants affected the crime rate. The standalone
theories in the start of the article suggest they did increase the crime rate, but with no hard proof. As

of them actually apply for the job. They are ashamed of the job, because the low level job has a

empowering marginalized sectors are problems that can be solved by putting up social businesses.

Fiercely they attacked the cyclops, under the leadership, and most importantly, strength of
Odyseus. Again and again, stuck in a precarious situation that looks like will be the end of
Odyseus, we are amazed. It is in these situations that the cleverness of Odyseus shows itself
most. One of these times are when Odyseus and his crew encounter sirens. Sirens, the hauntful
creatures that are known for luring sailors in to them, are what tried to tempt Odyseus. But
thanks to his cleverness, he plans ahead. Never hearing there voices before, but knowing just
how tempting they will be, he generates a plan. For all of his sailor crew, he has them fill their
ears with beeswax. But for himself, since he would like to hear the sirens voices, he has another
plan. He has his crew lash him to the mask of the boat. Odyseus does all this because he knows
neither himself or any of his crew members can withstand the temptations that the sirens show to

An exothermic reaction is one in which there is a release of energy (usually heat) from the system
