Persuasive Essay About School Uniform
Writing a persuasive essay on the topic of school uniforms presents its own set of challenges.
One must navigate through a myriad of opinions, emotions, and conflicting perspectives
surrounding the issue. Crafting a compelling argument that not only persuades but also addresses
the diverse viewpoints can be a daunting task.
Firstly, understanding the intricacies of the debate is crucial. There are strong arguments both in
favor of and against school uniforms, with supporters emphasizing the potential benefits of
fostering a sense of unity, reducing socioeconomic distinctions, and minimizing distractions,
while opponents argue for individual expression, freedom of choice, and the lack of conclusive
evidence on the positive impacts.
To effectively tackle this subject, extensive research is necessary. One must delve into academic
studies, surveys, and personal anecdotes to gather evidence supporting their stance. Balancing
statistics with relatable stories helps create a persuasive narrative that resonates with the
audience.
The challenge also lies in maintaining a neutral tone while acknowledging opposing viewpoints.
Striking a balance between passion and reason is essential to avoid alienating readers who may
hold different opinions. It requires careful consideration of language, evidence, and the overall
structure of the essay to build a strong case without appearing biased.
Moreover, the task involves honing persuasive writing skills. Crafting a compelling introduction
that grabs attention, developing coherent arguments in the body paragraphs, and concluding
with a powerful summary demand a mastery of language and rhetoric. Convincing the reader to
adopt a particular perspective while respecting their right to disagree is a delicate art that requires
finesse and precision.
In conclusion, writing a persuasive essay on the topic of school uniforms demands thorough
research, a nuanced understanding of the issue, and the ability to construct a compelling
argument. It requires a delicate balance between passion and reason, as well as the skill to
acknowledge and address opposing viewpoints respectfully. While challenging, mastering these
aspects can result in a well-crafted essay that leaves a lasting impact on the reader.

Impact Of The Automotive Industry On The United States...
Automobile Industry David Evinger ECO/372 8/3/2015 Professor Tim Ringgold
Introduction The automotive industry has been one of the factors of trade
between several countries that became very important to the United States trade
market. The industry took a heavy hit when the economy crashed in 1929 forcing
car industry sales to go down. The fall of sales with automobiles created havoc in
other industries as well. The domino effect began to take effect on other business
such as oil and gas companies. People stopped by oil and fuel when they couldn t
afford to use their automobiles. People couldn t get to work which had a huge factor
on employment and loss of jobs. This paper will discuss the huge effect it had with

One of the biggest name brand car dealers that took a hit due to models being
behind the new and current models was Pontiac and Saturn which in turn created
decrease in sales. The models needed to be removed from the factory assembly
lines. This had a huge effect on economy that laid off American civilians and
contributed to the unemployment numbers. Toyota and Honda started to take the
market by storm, and surpassing some of the American competitors. Once Ford
and GMC realized this they knew they had to try a different strategy to overcome
the growing market. Ford started to reduce emissions and save on fuel economy
with smaller engines with the same amount of speed. SWOT Analysis The
restoration or the United States auto industry is still on a sluggish as well as
delicate route, this really is based on JD Power s director of auto forecasting.
Presently the prediction is to have a market of 13.2m items for 2011; following
forecasted a market of 11.6m items for this year. Among the dangers for the 2011
market is that even though there will be greater advancements in the United States
Of America economy a lot of people will still be extremely careful, that will result
in a sluggish progress demand atmosphere for a while yet. The 3 largest
powerhouses of the United States of America automobile sector have a very good
view.

Even though Islam is a religion that does not seek to promote violence among its
followers, terrorist leaders have managed to manipulate the interpretations of Islam
and other religions for their own benefit (Khan, 2012). Terrorist leaders modify the
interpretations in way in which the tasks within the personal agenda of the terrorist
leaders will be accomplished. When terrorist leaders modify the religious
interpretations, they mainly seek to make violent acts appear justifiable by their
religion so that the members and supporters of the terrorist organization can gain the
valor and motivation they need to commit terrorist attacks against the enemies of the
terrorist leaders (Khan, 2012). Other times terrorist leaders might use both political
and religious motivated techniques to persuade their followers. Two good examples
that portrays how a terrorist leader have used religion and politics to rally up
supporters were the conflict between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan; and the
arrival of US troops to Saudi Arabia (Friedman, 2007). In both of these events the
terrorist leader (which in this cases was Osama Bin Laden) took a political event and
made it look as if it was a religious event and a threat against Islam so that his
supporters could be on his side since he was a
The Argument Of The Logical Problem Of Evil
Introduction In this paper, I will break apart J. L. Mackie s stern defense of the
logical problem of evil, which he uses to suggest the God does not exist. I will
attempt to defend the notion that both God and evil, in the form of human creation,
can exist in the world by way of suggesting that freewill is the answer. Furthermore, I
will strengthen the argument for freewill against Mackie s defense, which suggests
that the argument of freewill also compromises the Omni three nature of God. In part,
I will back freewill by using Mackie s own logic against him. In its totality, I will
build up a strong force against the logical problem of evil, leaving room for both the
existence of human formed evil and God in this world under the... Show more content

Seemingly, the presence of evil says either God does not want all good or God is
not actually powerful enough to follow through with his desire for all good. In
either case, the only way for God and evil to coexist is if God gives up one of his
Omni Three components, which in essence makes him not God in the defined
terms. To put it another way, if God exist then by his nature, being all good and all
powerful, its only logical for the world to, also, be all good, which of course it is
not. Ultimately, Mackie uses this logic to argue God cannot exist if evil disseminated
through the universe, which it clearly does, leaving the only conclusion to reject God
s existence.
Argument
Now that s all well and good, except for the fact that the logical problem of evil
spends so much time focused on the omnipotent and the omnibenevolent aspects of
God that is all together neglects the fact that God is also omniscient. He knows
everything, past, present, and future. Therefore, it is only logical to assume that
God also knows the best way to achieve the greatest good, which as established is
the singular goal of an omnibenevolent being. If such knowledge is true, as it must
be according to the laws of Omni three, then it is possible that God has determined
that the greatest good can only come by human choice, also known as freewill, not
by His force. In a bit, I will attempt to explain just
Third Grade Classrooms and Foldables
Introduction Good educators, especially in the lower levels of education, are
always looking for effective ways to improve students learning and interest in
subjects that may not be as appealing. Any activity that promotes reading and
encourages critical thinking is especially valued by teachers (Angus, 1993). One of
the key developments promoted by Zike is the use of Foldables in the classroom
(2007). These are three dimensional hands on manipulative/graphic organizers.
Foldables can quickly organize, display and arrange data making it easier for students
to grasp concepts, theories, processes, facts, and ideas, or to sequence events as
outlined in the content standards. They can result in student made study guides that

Results and Conclusions Initially the pretest scores of the two groups were compared
to ensure that they had equivalent attitudes toward social studies, which they were.
The changes in scores from pretest to posttest for each group (Lecture/Worksheet and
Foldables) were then compared using a paired samples t test. Casteel researched that
the Lecture/Worksheet group had a .69 point mean gain from pretest to posttest,
which was not statistically significant, while the Foldables group had a 2.67 point
mean gain from pretest to posttest, which was statistically significant (2006). This
study was designed to compare the effectiveness of two teaching methods (Lecture
/Worksheet and Foldables). The Lecture/Worksheet and Foldables groups had
equivalent pretest scores, meaning they were equivalent in attitudes toward social
studies at the beginning of the units. Only those taught with Foldables had a
significant increase from pretest to posttest on affective scores (Casteel, 2006). The
experimental data indicated that Foldables are a promising alternative to the
traditional method of Lecture/Worksheet. Using Foldables significantly improved
students attitudes toward the material (Zike, 2007). Additionally, teachers who
participated in the study commented about the improvement in attitudes when using
the Foldables. Furthermore, several teachers
Crime And Punishment Ap Psychology
Crime and Punishment Part III Essay Prompt Psychology stems from the Latin root
psyche and translates to the study of the mind. In the novel, Crime and Punishment,
the author Fyodor Dostoevsky, ventures into the psyche of his main character,
Raskolnikov. Raskolnikov suffers greatly in this novel both physically and mentally.
Dostoevsky depicts his mind through the utilization of various literary devices, clever
diction, and abrupt phrases and in turn, he is able to display the fractured mind of
Raskolnikov. The structure of the novelplays a key role in the depiction of
Raskolnikov s sanity. The author is able to create a climactic scene that alters the life
of Raskolnikov. He creates two major phases. During the beginning of the novel...

The author uses symbolism, entwined with specific language from Raskolnikov s
speech, to reflect the fractured state of mind of Raskolnikov. In the quote thought
by Raskolnikov, So I killed the principle, but I didn t step over, I stayed on this
side..., the phrase step over symbolize Raskolnikov s morality line internally. By
changing the idea of the woman into something abstract like a principle,
Raskolnikov is able to justify that the murder was a moral act since he did not
murder a person. He also often uses repetition to demand attention on specific
topics. In the provided prompt, ... it wasn t a human being I killed, it was a
principle! So I killed the principle, but I didn t step over, I stayed on this side... All
I managed to do was kill, the repetition of the word kill is evident. He uses this
word purposeful to direct the mind of his audience. It is used to symbolize how
Raskolnikov feels in regards to death. Dostoevsky repeatedly uses kill to
demonstrate that Raskolnikov does not care about the killing aspect of the murder.
Raskolnikov is fully aware that he killed the old woman and he is able to admit that
fact to himself. One may argue that Raskolnikov was concerned about the physical
kill of the woman, but that is not the case. In that prompt, Raskolnikov s main
attention is not on the killing. His main focus is on his justification. He never admits
that he was wrong for the murder, yet he admits that he killed
Similarities Between Le Morte D Arthur And Sir Gawain
Question: Think about Gawain s role in both stories. In which story does he prove to
be a better, more courageous knight? Why?
In both stories, Le Morte d Arthur written by Sir Thomas Malory and Sir Gawain and
the Green Knight written by the Pearl Poet, Gawain shows that he is a courageous
knight. But, in Le Morte d Arthur, Gawainproves to be a better, more courageous
knight in many ways. This story tells the tale of how Sir Gawain did not want his
people to become a laughingstock if he accepted Sir Lancelot s peace offering. Sir
Gawain denies the peace offering so therefore, King Arthur tries to besiege Gawain
and a sword fight between Sir Gawain and Sir Lancelot commences. To start off,
Gawain shows how better and courageous he is
10 Things I Hate About You Essay
Compare and contrast the Minola sisters from the taming of the shrew with the strath
fords sisters from 10 things I hate about you
INTRODUCTION:
The comedy The Taming of the Shrew written by William Shakespeare is set in
Padua, Italy, where noble lady Katerina Minola is known for her difficult character
and brazen personality. The younger daughter of Baptista. The lovely Bianca proves
herself the opposite of her sister, Kate, at the beginning of the play: she is soft
spoken, sweet, and unassuming. The modern version known as 10 things I hate about

The differences between Kat Stratford and Kate Minola inspire how the audience
understands the play and its causal themes. In the film, 10 Things I Hate About You,
Kat Stratford plays an opinionated and angry outcast in her last year of high school
who just wants to be her own person. Others see her as a shrew because of her strong
voice and how she constantly strives to be different from the other students. Kate
Minola in The Taming of the Shrew, however, is angry and bitter because of her
family and the low role a woman must play in society. People see Kate as a shrew
because women in Shakespeare s time were not allowed to voice their opinions
when any important decisions were made, even when they were right. When
observing both versions of the same story, it becomes clear that Kat Stratford is a
more developed character because of how she uses her stereotype as a shrew, her
relationships with the other characters, and her deeply set
Improving Patient Satisfaction Patients
Patient satisfaction has been considered as when patients feel that their needs and
expectations are being met by the services provided. Some of the important factors
which are strongly effective, are included: availability of out of hours care, doctor s
style, care delivery and continuity of care. All of these happen when there is a good
communication between doctors and their patients. Clear understanding of the
patients concerns as well as an accurate clinical diagnosis. Doctor and patient s
relationship always has described as cornerstone of general practice. If there is trust
between the patients and them, patients are more likely to connect to the
recommended treatment. Continuity of care provided by the same doctor most of the

Typical Australian
The Australian Identity I am here today to discuss our Australian Identity. How do
you imagine a typical Australian? Maybe you see a blonde haired, blue eyed
surfing babe? Or a bushman who drinks Bushels tea and four X beers while
munching on some snags cooked on the BBQ? Or perhaps you see someone like
Steve Irwin, our iconic crocodile hunter. Or do you picture the movie Crocodile
Dundee? Australians are stereotyped and our typical Australian is usually imagined
to be male. (Click) Russell Ward, well known author, portrays his view of the
traditional Aussie as a practical man who is rough, tough bushman that holds true
friendship and loyal spirits. Today I will be analysing two poems and one play and

values and beliefs of the true Australian spirit and mateship. Throughout the story,
the mood is exciting and fast paced with tense anticipation, leading up to the
exciting climatic victory. In this poem, women and children are marginalised. The
bushman riders are men and during those times the women and children stayed at
home while the men worked during the day. The Man from Snowy River is a
ballad which reinforces the typical Australian Identity, as the rough and tough man
who is willing to take risks and challenges. The hero in this poem is brave,
resourceful and thrill seeking, displaying the qualities that Russell Ward describes
as being part of the mythical Australian Identity. (Click) The One Day of the Year

News From Nowhere By William Morris Essay
William Morris novel News from Nowhere is portrayed as a utopic vision of a
world that not only abolishes the class system, but is created through the transition
from working in order to survive to working for the pleasure of it. Consequently,
his novel may seem only as a vision due to its idealistic reasoning as to how his
portrayed world dependant on nature and people s nature could possibly exist and
support itself. Even though this is merely theory on his part, his essay Useful Work
versus Useless Toil supports a better understanding of Morris conceptualization of
enjoyable labour within his ideal future society in his novel News from Nowhere
because it suggests how finding pleasure in doing work leads to a better and
enlightened society.
Morris clearly separates labour between pre and post revolution by highlighting and
redefining the terms civilization and society in which a true society is only possible
once the class system is destroyed and people are treated as equals. In the novel, the
narrator William Guest asks Hammond how his 19th century world shifted to the
elder s, and the answer is the revolution leading to the abolishment of social class.
According to Hammond, he defines civilization as organized misery in which he
criticizes the class system for denigrating the lower classes into subservient people
unknowingly supporting and enriching the middle and upper classes while scrapping
by with little reward to their own lifestyle (Morris 125).
The Nature Of Human Behavior
By nature, we are all amateur psychologists, constantly trying to, through the informal
study of ourselves and others, make inferences and predictions about other s
behaviour. This in turn has led to the creation of many common sense notions, or
cultural beliefs about the nature of human behaviour that, while often espoused as
factual and true, tend to hold up poorly when faced with legitimate scientific
scrutiny, with an example being the belief that individuals always work harder in a
group than on their own. Since, while it is undeniable that, by nature, we are social
rather than solitary animals and that working in groups has had many advantages to
the evolution of our species by allowing us to, for example, increase our safety in...

Likewise, they tend to end up taking credit for the other s work, thus creating tension
that negatively affects the group as a whole (Tomson Pieterse, 2010, p. 2).
Moreover, outside of social loafing, group performance can also be negatively
impacted by groupthink. Concerning group performance as a whole, groupthink is
defined in Psychology: Evaluating connections, as a phenomenon that happens
when the thinking of the group takes over, so much so that group members forgo
logic or critical analysis in the service of reaching a decision (Fiest et al., 2016, p.
536 537). Likewise, it is discussed by Irving Janis (1971) in Groupthink, an article
published in Psychology Today magazine, who was the first to propose its
existence as a phenomena. Basing his theory on the thorough analysis of historical
examples of poor decision such as the Bay of Pigs invasion, Janis concluded that
groupthink arises when the members of decision making groups become motivated
to avoid being too harsh in their judgments of their leaders or their colleagues ideas
and avoid being critical of either their own or other s thinking (Janis, 1971, p. 84).
This in turn leads to negative consequences for the group, such as the failure to
consider other, more viable

Analysis Of The Sonnet Too Big To Fail By Andrew Ross...
The Run is a sonnet I wrote to showcase the theme of resilience in Too Big to Fail
(TBTF) by Andrew Ross Sorkin. In TBTG Sorkin mainly focuses on the life and
work of Henry Paulson, legendary, former U.S Treasury Secretary, during the Great
Recession. In The Run I mention persistent salmon that refuse to breakdown. Those
salmon are like Henry Paulson, remaining strong they refuse to slow down and
stop, no matter how much energy or pride it might cost him. On page 203 of TBTF
Sorkin writes that Paulson believed he was he was being branded as little less than
an enemy of the people, if not the American way of life. The salmon migrates in order

The Curriculum For Excellence And Education
The Curriculum for Excellence, introduced in 2014, aims to transform education in
Scotland for ages 3 18. It intends to progress the standards of education and learning
in the country by moving away from more traditional methods of teaching. This
strategy, developed by the Scottish Government, recognises that learningis a lifelong
process, beginning at birth, and therefore it is important to employ methods which
prepare children from a young age for a life of work. In order to do so, the
curriculum is based on seven key principles which are designed to provide young
people with the knowledge and skills for life in the 21st century. This knowledge and
skill is learnt through experiences and opportunities which are carefully planned for
each age group, encouraging space for learning out with the standard school subject
boundaries. The programme has four main outcomes prompting children to become
successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective
contributors. Once an individual has completed the education programme, reflections
of the curriculum s purpose can be assessed in the child or young person to see if
they have met the proposed outcomes and therefore determining the overall success.
One of the key principles of the curriculum is Health and Wellbeing. This area
focuses on the development and maintenance of young people s mental, emotional,
social and physical health. As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, full of activity,
challenge and

basically a form of greenwashing and that sustainable development was a joke.
Hmmm . . . . Please comment on that assertion. In the process, discuss the big idea of
sustainable development, and more generally the concept of sustainability as applied
to individual businesses. For that matter, what is a sustainable enterprise? Can
being sustainable be good for business? Sustainability has achieved a more
ecological tone in the past few decades in terms of a business model, but it originally
derives from the concept that a business is successful due to the interconnected areas
of economics, culture and ecology. Sustainability is now becoming a somewhat fad
and thus it is understandable that it could be misconstrued by some as a form of
greenwashing . Greenwashing is the idea that a company markets their green or
environmentally friendly changes in policy and values, despite no actual concrete
changes in these areas, for example some argue that Fiji Water greenwasher in terms
of their marketing as an environmentally friendly water company despite their little
effort to actually go carbon neutral. Many companies are seeing the

years of a healthy looking economy and growth, problems started to arise in 1949.
Inflation began to rise and unemployment grew. PerГіn tried to fix this by creating
new government jobs to make it look as if there was no problem. Many of his
political opponents were tortured, detained, or exiled. This also led to the signs of
huge government corruption. After being elected for another term in 1952, PerГіn
tries to make his wife vice president to which the military leaders said he was not

seemingly unfixable problem which was the economy, assassination plots began to be

the police round up his opponents. Seeing the country in chaos, PerГіn resigns in

proceeded to ban the PerГіnist party. With PerГіn setting a precedent for mass protest

and meanwhile also discusses his apartment, and about how expensive and tasteful
all of his furniture is). Bateman is also used as a way to show how consumerism
makes people a commodity everything is a commodity, including people . This is
especially apparent in his clear sexism he constantly objectifies women, and never
sees them as more than sexual exploits waiting to happen. Bateman tries to rationalise
his behaviour of using people as commodities by saying though it does sporadically
penetrate how unacceptable some of what I m doing actually is, I just remind myself

The Importance Of The Downfall Of Macbeth
Although the witches only play a small role in the play, they have a huge impact on
what goes on. The witches are the base of the play, and without the weird sisters,
there would not be a play. Throughout the play, the witches tempt Macbeth to do
things that will make his fate come true. The witches add fuel to the fire by revealing
to Macbeththe prophecies, which drive him to kill many of his friends, change his
heart, and ultimately lead to his downfall. The witches advance the plot by telling
Macbeth that he will, one day, become king which motivates him to betray and kill
his closest friends. Macbeth knows that to become king, he needs to kill King
Duncan. The witches also tell Banquo that he will be the father of kings saying,
Thlu shalt get kings, though be none . (1.3.67). Macbeth believes that this will
harm his fate of becoming king. To prevent that from happening, Macbeth hires
murders to kill Banquo and Fleance, Banquo s son. The two murders murder
Banquo, but fail to kill Fleance. Still afraid his fate will be harmed, Macbeth asks
the witches about his future which adds more fuel to the fire, furthering the story.
The witches tell Macbeth to fear Macduff because of the way he was born because
Macduff will defeat him. Even though Macbeth believes he has nothing to fear, he
wants to kill Macduff anyways. All of the witches foresights drive Macbeth to kill
his king and loyal friends. Along with murder, the weird sisters cause Macbeth to
have a change of heart.
Dogs Are Not Tame Wolves Essay
Dogs were the first animal, and the only large carnivore, to be domesticated. in both
appearance and in both Dogs are not tame wolves, but how they became these
unique companions to people is still being debated. There are several theories on
how the evolution from wolf to dog came about. One theory is that the human
environment attracted wolves. Wolves started following people around to take
advantage of food scraps that were left behind. Eventually, wolves lost fear of people,
and people lost fear of wolves. The benefits of this new relationship were not just one
way. Wolves also helped humans by sniffing out prey and helping them hunt. Success
likely meant the humans would share their food with wolves. This is a very popular
theory, but it has been disputed. Archeological digs show that the early dogs were not
eating the same mammoth meat that the humans were eating. Instead, their main diet
consisted mostly of less popular human meat such as reindeer. The prehistoric dogs
also had many broken teeth and severe facial wounds. Although these injuries could
be from fighting with other dogs, many scientists believe the dogs had been beaten
with sticks, leading many to assume the relationship between man and prehistoric dog
was not as companionable as the theory would suggest. The conflicts with this first
theory, have led some scientist to suggest a different theory. Some scientists propose
that humans brought wolf pups to camp, possibly after finding them in

Energy Is An Important Part Of Human Evolution
Energy has been an important part of human evolution. Ever since human began
development, energy was a major factor. We need energy for everything we do.
Heat is one of many types of energy, and it is a very important type of energy. We
use heat to warm our shelter, drive cars. Heat transfer is one of the most obvious
processes in the nature. It occurs at all the places such as machine, biological
creatures, etc... In engineering this heattransfer is a key part of understanding heat
energy. The study of heat behaviour and harnessing heat energy is called
thermodynamics. Thermodynamics is used for many areas such as nuclear power
plant, car engines, etc... This essay will cover topics such as, what is energy, and
what makes it useful? , what is thermodynamics, success rate for harnessing and
manipulating energy and how energy is vital to us all and how we use it.
Firstly, energy is a power produced from physical or chemical resources, such as
heat provided to work the machines. It defines the capacity for doing the work,
generating heat, etc... There are many types of energies such as mechanical,
electrical, thermal, nuclear, etc... This essay will cover thermal energy. Thermal
energy is the random motion of particles in the substance. An example of this
situation would be warming a cup of water, where water particles gets in random
motion when heated. The uses of thermal energy are very broad. Thermal energy is
used in simple tasks such as a coffee maker, to a solar plant. It is
Importance Of Graphic Design
The career that I am researching is graphic design. A graphic designer helps to
make an organization recognizable by using a variety of mediums to communicate
a particular idea or identity to be used in advertising and promotions. Some
examples of things that graphic designers create/do are; colours, fonts, animations,
photography, print designs, logos, images, pictures, and billboards. They use a
variety of design elements to help an advertisement, brochure, magazine, or
corporate report be artistically appealing and stand out. They also collaborate
closely with other graphic designers, writers, programmers, artists, or other creative
people in order for their projects to be as appealing as possible. Graphic designis
important to society because it gives organizations and companies a face. It allows
the consumer to have feelings about a product just by looking at it. The
importance of graphic design is only increasing because with the growing reach of
technology, it is extremely important for a company to be noticed. A typical day
working as a graphic designer involves meetings, creating your project, revising
your project, and presentations. Graphic design is not a physically strenuous job
and is a job that people of all body types can do.
Many personal traits are required for a person to be a successful graphic designer.
Some of these traits are; artistic skills, creativity, strong verbal, visual, and written
communication skills, ability to work independently and
Foundations of Leadership in the Center of Drug

Great leaders are hard to come by. Everyday the following scenarios are
challenged: ethics and moral values, adapting to each employee, providing
insightful and positive interactions, focus and commitment toward goals that fit the
mission and vision needs and, being an over all people person to make the work
environment a friendly place. Being able to transition back and forth to
accommodate employees while maintaining yourself on a daily basis is astonishing.
Donal Parks, the Director of Center of Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) is the
true definition of an authentic leader. The Culture of CDER is based on Bill George
s leadershipapproach (1) they understand their purpose, (2) they have strong values
about the right things to do, (3) they establish trusting relationships with others, (4)
they demonstrate self discipline and act on their values, and (5) they are passionate
about their mission. (Northouse 2013) Under the leadership of Donal Parks, the
CDER team effectively demonstrates and provides support through Bill George s
leadership approach.
The trait approach describes CDER s leader because he demonstrates intelligence, self
confidence, integrity, determination, and is sociable. Mr. Parks provides the skills
approach toward the entire staff by having a humorous side. In addition, he is more
conceptual than technical. Furthermore, he refrains from micromanage; his style

Essay on 42 Movie Summary
Megan Hetterick s 42 movie summary.
Jackie Robinson, 42, first black man to play on a team of all whites and make it to
the world championship. He rocks. His number is retired and people wear the
number 42 on their jersey every year for one day because of him. All of this
information I got from the movie 42. The movie was amazing and very good! In
the beginning when it showed how he became selected was different than what I
imagined it would ve been done. During the movie there were threats from white
people saying they d come where Robinson lived and hurt him or something, so he
left with the black reporter guy who later became a part of the American Baseball

At the very end of the movie it showed what the main people did after the movie

disappointed was the part when the dad and boy are in the stands and are excited
fro Pee Wee to come out and then Robinson comes out and the dad starts to yell get
out of here nigger! You don t belong here! and the rest of the crowd does the same
and the kid looks confused and then joins in screaming the same things, but then
Pee Wee puts his arm around Robinson and the look on the boys face looked sad
and disappointed in himself or so. That scene made me sad and disappointed in the
father for setting such an example for his son and making him say something he
was unsure of or however he felt about it. The look on the boys face when
Robinson came out and everyone including his dad started yelling at him and saying
those things, the boy looked a little scared or unsure and concerned about what to do
and such. Broke my heart a little, but it was what it was. Overall, amazing movie!!
For sure a favorite!

T. V TV Show

Back when I was still in high school, whenever the clock turned eleven p.m., my
brother and I immediately turn the television to channel 5 to watch the rerun of our
all time favorite T.V. sitcom, Friends. This was when we use the time to sit back and
relax with the show s hilarious and funny moment.
On September 22, 1994, NBC debuted a brand new sitcom about the life of six friends
living in New York City, with the creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, never
expecting it to become such a huge and phenomenal success. The show started off
with Rachel Green, played by Jennifer Anniston, as a run away bride who came into
the city looking for help from her old high school friends, Monica Geller, portrayed
by Courtney Cox. There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yes, it is a sitcom so the main focus is to bring laughter to the viewers. However, if
it want to stick with the audiences and be remember long after the show is over, it
need to touch the viewers heart, and that s is exactly what the show did. There are
so many moments to choose from, ranging from Phoebe saying goodbye to her
triplets, Ross and Rachel s breakup, to the final goodbye between the gang. The
most touching and memorable scene for me would be when Monica and Chandler
found out they cannot have a baby. It all started when Rachel was giving birth to
her child that the two decided to try to have one of their own. After failing for what
seem to be the hundredth time, Chandler and Monica decided to go get themselves
tested and see what s wrong. What follow was the emotional moment where
Chandler got a phone call from the clinic telling him the bad new. This touching
and sad moment will leave viewers breathless as they feel compassion for the
couple. This was even more upsetting to know that around the same time that this
was film, Courtney Cox, who played Monica, was faced with a miscarriage herself.
Cox and her husband were in fact very relatable with what was happening with
Chandler and Monica, since they too struggle to get pregnant for about two years. In
a NBC interview with Matt Lauer, Cox stated that she was finding difficulty in
Descartes, Berkeley, And God
Descartes, Berkeley, and God There are conflicting views between philosophers of
the modern era pertaining to the existence of God. Even further, many of these
philosophers who share the opinion that God does in fact exist also have opposing
views as to how that affects their world view. For example, Descartes s narrator, in the
fifth meditation comes to the conclusion, that God, an almighty benevolent being, is
no deceiver, and holds all perfection. Within this system, the narrator attributes all
things of the physical world to be material, although Descartes believes that some
things are not of matter (i.e. soulor mind). Conversely, Berkeley, whom also is a
believer of God s existence, believes that there is no material world or sensible realm
without mind. That through God, the sensible is excited within us and although he,
like Descartes narrator, does not believe the Author of Our Creation deceives us.
Thus even without matter, the regularities of our lives are no accident and have
purpose. It is through analyzation of these two texts that I intend to find correlations
and differences between Descartes and Berkeley s epistemologyin order to ascertain
the difference in their world views of dualism (Descartes) and immaterialism
(Berkeley), particularly pertaining to their belief in God. For the sake of reference,
an individual analysis of both philosophers will be established in order to make the
differences of each system more
Analysis Of `` For Colored Girls `` By Ntozake Shange
For Colored Girls involves seven women who represents a different shade of the
rainbow. The colors are brown, red, yellow, white, green, orange and blue. Their
costumes and make up transformed each of them and were significant of the color
their character embodied. As a group their acting made all of their roles of equal
importance, without one dominating the other. These women together formed a
bond through their various adversities, gradually taking them from strangers to
companion. From an objective view, the audience is allowed to simply observe the
events as they take place chronologically. Throughout the movie during some of the
conflicting and traumatic scenes, one of the women recites a poem to signify and
release the emotion being felt at that time. Tyler Perry s movie For Colored Girls was
inspired by a stage play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the
Rainbow is Enuf, written by Ntozake Shanges. The story was adapted from a play
that consists of monologues, which combines dance and poetry. Gates highlights
that For colored girls is a film that makes a strong message of empowerment to the
humanity of women. No matter how bad things could get in life and no matter how
many times you ve been brought down, always know you are strong enough to get
back up and not let darkness conquer your life. This essay will explore how a person
can overcome any kind of tragedy, hardship or struggle whether or not they are

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Judicial Appointment...
Justice of India, the appointment should be made as a healthy convention. In July
1998, the President of India asked for the advisory opinion of the Supreme Court on
various areas of the judgment of 1993 including the issue of consultation. In October
1998, the Supreme Court in its advisory opinion confirmed the primacy of the Chief
Justice s opinion over that of the President in appointing judges. The Court, however,
observed that the sole, individual opinion of the Chief Justice of India does not
constitute consultation within the meaning of Arts 217 and 222(1) of the
Constitution. In appointing judges to the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice must

Despite this, in order to maintain public confidence in the appointment system and to
ensure judicial independence the commission system is perhaps a very effective
mechanism for judicial appointment. However, to ensure the effectiveness of this
mechanism the commission should be representative in nature comprising members
of the executive, legislature, judiciary, legal profession and lay persons. In addition, it
should be ensured that the commission uses a system which is transparent and open
to public scrutiny. In this regard the composition and working system of the South
African Judicial Service Commission may be an acceptable model. Such a
mechanism may be very effective to ensure the appointment of the best qualified

Difference Between School Life And College Life
An Essay on School Life and College Life
There is a great deal of difference between school life and college life. School life is
a life of restrictions and control, a life in which the student has to be accountable for
his daily work to his teachers and his guardian. But a college student, of the other
hand, enjoys much greater freedom from control and supervision; he is, to a very
large extent, the master of his own destiny. It lies with him to make it or mar it.
At school the students has to be in attendance for fixed hours every day. He has to
leave home at ten or eleven and return at four at college, however, the hours of
attendance very. Sometimes, a college student has hardly time in the morning to
gulp his food; at others, he has enough time to lounge about for a few minutes after
a leisurely meal. On some days he returns early from college; or others, it is late
evening by the time he gets back home. He has ample time at his disposal to use,
abuse, or misuse.
At school the student has to prepare his daily lessons and may be taken to task for
what he has left undone. But at college he can do his lessons daily, or not at all, as
fancy may please or conscience may dictate. He is left to his own resources; he
must understand his difficulties, and find out ways and means to remove them. He
must, for the most part, depend upon himself, and take the help of a friend or a
teacher only as his means and circumstances permit.in one respect however, school
life is more joyous then college life.
A student can run about and exercise his limbs in school more vigorously then at
college. The sight of boys shouting and running down the staircase or the corridors
or in the school quadrangle is something that one will seldom find in a college.
College boys are either boisterous and rowdy, or grave and decorous. They are
must behave as grown up people. Of course, it the college happens to have its
playgrounds, they can go there after college hours and take part in regular games.
Nowadays every college has gymnasium to help student s build the body beautiful . A
college, in other words, many not permit uproarious merriment, but it often gives
larger opportunities for organized games sports.
Another respect in which
Representation of Pace in the Comic Strip Calvin and
Hobbes
PDF File References Introduction In the media there are a variety of images and
texts that are used to convey a host of ideas. This is because the artist is attempting
to improve the reader s understanding of particular concepts by using these elements
in conjunction with each other. To fully understand how this is taking place requires
looking at comic strip Calvin and Hobbs. During this process there will be an
examination that is focused on a number of areas. To include: how the pace is
illustrated, the way the panels relate to one another, the differences / similarities
between the two panels, the representational meaning and the main story plot of the
comic strip. Together, these different elements will provide the greatest insights as to
how these factors are used in correlation with one another to tell a larger story. How
is pace illustrated in this set of comics strip? The way that pace is represented in the
comic strip is through highlighting action. This occurs by showing Calvin running
home at the beginning of the comic strip. It will then display select amounts of
drama, with Calvin looking into a dark room. This is the point that Hobbs jumps out
and startles him. The next several frames are showing the intense amounts of
emotions and action. At which point, Calvin discovers it is Hobbs. This is when the
intensity is winding down. These different elements are important, in illustrating how
the pace starts out with lots of action. These frames are followed

Puppy Mills Have Been Notorious For Keeping The Puppy...
Puppy mills have been notorious for keeping the puppy trade industry alive and as
big as it is today. With thousands of puppy mills, both known and under the radar,
they provide easy access and cheap puppies to sell at pet stores at inflated prices.
While they do keep the business booming and keep pure breeds that may specialize in
important roles, they continue to put countless numbers of dogs through terrifying
pain. To stop the agonizing torture the lovable pups go through, stricter rules must be
applied to these puppymills, a new license regulation must be used, regular
inspections, and awareness of alternative options must be made. With already set
regulations on puppy mills, people say there is no reason to have any additions on
the rules. There is a kennel license, which restricts how many dogs someone can
have depending on how much square footage of land he or she owns. This
regulates the amount of dogs that can be held for breeding and to keep the area
clean and safe enough for all the dogs involved. People are required to go through a
moderately long process to achieve their license, to ensure that these dogs will be
okay. Puppy mills are also known for keeping pure breed numbers up, such as
beloved German shepherds, poodles, Welsh Pembroke corgis, and Labradors.
Having mixed breeds can be healthier of course but as Sofia Jeppsson had said in
her article Purebred Dogs and Canine Wellbeing, However, in the long run such a
strategy would severely deplete the

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
Name is the foundation of the brand. A company s certain brand. Once in the
market, brand name will greatly determine its position in the fight for consumer. It
can distinguish the product in a competitive position when its brand name has
favourable associations which customers are looking for, or can be positioned in the
lower rank when it has negative associations and impressions. Some brands are
usually unknown to the customers in the market place while on the other hand some
brands show very high degree of awareness. The brands of high awareness have high
level of acceptability with customers do not refuse to buy such that as they enjoy the

The success of a brand in customer satisfaction is quality. Companies conform to
requirements set by consumers. Quality is significant on the performance of a
product, the interaction of a product meeting or exceeding consumer expectations
based on its performance is how quality is evaluated. Product quality adds many
benefits for a company. Product quality allows companies to charge higher prices to
consumers.
Price can serve as an indicator of quality for consumers. The higher the price of a
product, the more perceived risk a consumer incurs. In general, consumers often
associate a high priced retail product with higher quality than those of lower
pricing; however, some researchers believe that this quality and price relationship
is too simplistic. Prices are used by marketers in retail stores in order to appeal to
different consumers on different levels. The consumer uses comparative judgments
in order to evaluate a potential purchasing decision. The consumer utilizes reference
prices in order to make these comparisons. Reference pricing is a subjective price
level that is used by the consumers to determine if the product is at an acceptable
price for purchase.
Background of the study
Originally a manufacturer of pulp and paper, Nokia was founded as Nokia Company

Strategic Restructuring and Organizational Developments
Strategic Restructuring and Organizational Developments
Introduction
This discussion is directed toward company restructuring and repositioning,
specifically my personal experiences in a project dependant industry, and the
evolution of a business structure and organizational culture of flexibility and
adaptability. Many companies operating in a project specific and contract dependant
industry are required to align employees with processes and strategies to ensure
smooth transition in an often dynamic and changeable environment. Companies
competing in dynamic market environments have evolved and adapted to stay
competitive and profitable. It is important to recognize the alignment of company
culture toward the employee and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The real impact during transition was felt on a personal level with organizational
structure change and project reassignment.
Change can often be viewed as positive, as the case in a successful completion of a
life cycle project. The project life cycle is finite and inevitable; there is excitement
surrounding potential for new project opportunities. Also technology and business
process improvement can be embraced as the new generation becomes more
accepting and involved in technological advances. Alternatively, negative sentiment
can occur in the case of an unexpected and unplanned scenario such as acquisition or
contract non renewal. Forced change can be extremely difficult, particularly when the
changes are unexpected and devoid of a provisional contingency plan.
Effective Strategy Implementation
An effective restructuring implementation strategy must be considered from the
perspective of the organization, the individual and management. In addition, it is
important to distinguish the interrelation factors which drive the organization as a
whole through the restructuring planning, transition and recovery. The factors
affecting strategy implementation in discussion are:
Organizational Objective defining the objective and formulating a strategy.
People Aspects the impact on employees.
Management of the Transition actions for positive

Article Summary: Teaching All Learners as if they are Special
Introduction
This article, published in 2002 by Nancy Gadbow, examines some of the issues
experienced by adult learners with special needs. The author asserts the concept of
diversity should include special needs and differences in terms of disability, ethnicity,
culture, language, age, gender, experience, and geography. Furthermore in order to
give each person equal access to the curriculum a range of instructional approaches
and technologies should be incorporated into the learning environment.
Discussion
Gadbow believes it is the duty of adult educators to instill a life long love of
learning into their students, helping adults learn how to learn is the most important
thing a teacher ever does (p. 53). The first responsibility of educators working with
adults is to help them identify their learning styles and differences as well as other
special learning needs, and then provide effective strategies to adapt to these
individual learning needs (53). The author s contention that all learners are special
means seeing the possibilities as well as the problems or particular needs of each
student as they present themselves. The author believes that as the United States
prepares individuals to enter the workforce in the twenty first century addressing
individual learner s needs and differences becomes even more critical. Rapid

Even though Islam is a religion that does not seek to promote violence among its followers, terrorist leaders have managed to manipulate the interpretations of Islam and other religions for their own benefit (Khan, 2012). Terrorist leaders modify the interpretations in way in which the tasks within the personal agenda of the terrorist leaders will be accomplished. When terrorist leaders modify the religious interpretations, they mainly seek to make violent acts appear justifiable by their religion so that the members and supporters of the terrorist organization can gain the valor and motivation they need to commit terrorist attacks against the enemies of the terrorist leaders (Khan, 2012). Other times terrorist leaders might use both political and religious motivated techniques to persuade their followers. Two good examples that portrays how a terrorist leader have used religion and politics to rally up supporters were the conflict between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan; and the arrival of US troops to Saudi Arabia (Friedman, 2007). In both of these events the terrorist leader (which in this cases was Osama Bin Laden) took a political event and made it look as if it was a religious event and a threat against Islam so that his supporters could be on his side since he was a
  • 4. The Argument Of The Logical Problem Of Evil Introduction In this paper, I will break apart J. L. Mackie s stern defense of the logical problem of evil, which he uses to suggest the God does not exist. I will attempt to defend the notion that both God and evil, in the form of human creation, can exist in the world by way of suggesting that freewill is the answer. Furthermore, I will strengthen the argument for freewill against Mackie s defense, which suggests that the argument of freewill also compromises the Omni three nature of God. In part, I will back freewill by using Mackie s own logic against him. In its totality, I will build up a strong force against the logical problem of evil, leaving room for both the existence of human formed evil and God in this world under the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Seemingly, the presence of evil says either God does not want all good or God is not actually powerful enough to follow through with his desire for all good. In either case, the only way for God and evil to coexist is if God gives up one of his Omni Three components, which in essence makes him not God in the defined terms. To put it another way, if God exist then by his nature, being all good and all powerful, its only logical for the world to, also, be all good, which of course it is not. Ultimately, Mackie uses this logic to argue God cannot exist if evil disseminated through the universe, which it clearly does, leaving the only conclusion to reject God s existence. Argument Now that s all well and good, except for the fact that the logical problem of evil spends so much time focused on the omnipotent and the omnibenevolent aspects of God that is all together neglects the fact that God is also omniscient. He knows everything, past, present, and future. Therefore, it is only logical to assume that God also knows the best way to achieve the greatest good, which as established is the singular goal of an omnibenevolent being. If such knowledge is true, as it must be according to the laws of Omni three, then it is possible that God has determined that the greatest good can only come by human choice, also known as freewill, not by His force. In a bit, I will attempt to explain just
  • 5. Third Grade Classrooms and Foldables Introduction Good educators, especially in the lower levels of education, are always looking for effective ways to improve students learning and interest in subjects that may not be as appealing. Any activity that promotes reading and encourages critical thinking is especially valued by teachers (Angus, 1993). One of the key developments promoted by Zike is the use of Foldables in the classroom (2007). These are three dimensional hands on manipulative/graphic organizers. Foldables can quickly organize, display and arrange data making it easier for students to grasp concepts, theories, processes, facts, and ideas, or to sequence events as outlined in the content standards. Results and Conclusions Initially the pretest scores of the two groups were compared to ensure that they had equivalent attitudes toward social studies, which they were. The changes in scores from pretest to posttest for each group (Lecture/Worksheet and Foldables) were then compared using a paired samples t test. Casteel researched that the Lecture/Worksheet group had a .69 point mean gain from pretest to posttest, which was not statistically significant, while the Foldables group had a 2.67 point mean gain from pretest to posttest, which was statistically significant (2006). This study was designed to compare the effectiveness of two teaching methods (Lecture /Worksheet and Foldables). The Lecture/Worksheet and Foldables groups had equivalent pretest scores, meaning they were equivalent in attitudes toward social studies at the beginning of the units. Only those taught with Foldables had a significant increase from pretest to posttest on affective scores (Casteel, 2006). The experimental data indicated that Foldables are a promising alternative to the traditional method of Lecture/Worksheet. Using Foldables significantly improved students attitudes toward the material (Zike, 2007). Additionally, teachers who participated in the study commented about the improvement in attitudes when using the Foldables. Furthermore, several teachers

In the novel, Crime and Punishment, the author Fyodor Dostoevsky, ventures into the psyche of his main character, Raskolnikov. Raskolnikov suffers greatly in this novel both physically and mentally. Dostoevsky depicts his mind through the utilization of various literary devices, clever diction, and abrupt phrases and in turn, he is able to display the fractured mind of Raskolnikov. The structure of the novelplays a key role in the depiction of Raskolnikov s sanity. The author is able to create a climactic scene that alters the life of Raskolnikov. He creates two major phases. In the quote thought by Raskolnikov, So I killed the principle, but I didn t step over, I stayed on this side..., the phrase step over symbolize Raskolnikov s morality line internally. By changing the idea of the woman into something abstract like a principle, Raskolnikov is able to justify that the murder was a moral act since he did not murder a person. He also often uses repetition to demand attention on specific topics. In the provided prompt, ... it wasn t a human being I killed, it was a principle! So I killed the principle, but I didn t step over, I stayed on this side... All I managed to do was kill, the repetition of the word kill is evident. He uses this word purposeful to direct the mind of his audience. It is used to symbolize how Raskolnikov feels in regards to death. Dostoevsky repeatedly uses kill to demonstrate that Raskolnikov does not care about the killing aspect of the murder. Raskolnikov is fully aware that he killed the old woman and he is able to admit that fact to himself. One may argue that Raskolnikov was concerned about the physical kill of the woman, but that is not the case. In that prompt, Raskolnikov s main attention is not on the killing. His main focus is on his justification. He never admits that he was wrong for the murder, yet he admits that he killed

Others see her as a shrew because of her strong voice and how she constantly strives to be different from the other students. Kate Minola in The Taming of the Shrew, however, is angry and bitter because of her family and the low role a woman must play in society. People see Kate as a shrew because women in Shakespeare s time were not allowed to voice their opinions when any important decisions were made, even when they were right. When observing both versions of the same story, it becomes clear that Kat Stratford is a more developed character because of how she uses her stereotype as a shrew, her relationships with the other characters, and her deeply set

  • 11. News From Nowhere By William Morris Essay William Morris novel News from Nowhere is portrayed as a utopic vision of a world that not only abolishes the class system, but is created through the transition from working in order to survive to working for the pleasure of it. Consequently, his novel may seem only as a vision due to its idealistic reasoning as to how his portrayed world dependant on nature and people s nature could possibly exist and support itself. Even though this is merely theory on his part, his essay Useful Work versus Useless Toil supports a better understanding of Morris conceptualization of enjoyable labour within his ideal future society in his novel News from Nowhere because it suggests how finding pleasure in doing work leads to a better and enlightened society. Morris clearly separates labour between pre and post revolution by highlighting and redefining the terms civilization and society in which a true society is only possible once the class system is destroyed and people are treated as equals. In the novel, the narrator William Guest asks Hammond how his 19th century world shifted to the elder s, and the answer is the revolution leading to the abolishment of social class. According to Hammond, he defines civilization as organized misery in which he criticizes the class system for denigrating the lower classes into subservient people unknowingly supporting and enriching the middle and upper classes while scrapping by with little reward to their own lifestyle (Morris 125).
  • 12. The Nature Of Human Behavior By nature, we are all amateur psychologists, constantly trying to, through the informal study of ourselves and others, make inferences and predictions about other s behaviour. This in turn has led to the creation of many common sense notions, or cultural beliefs about the nature of human behaviour that, while often espoused as factual and true, tend to hold up poorly when faced with legitimate scientific scrutiny, with an example being the belief that individuals always work harder in a group than on their own. Likewise, they tend to end up taking credit for the other s work, thus creating tension that negatively affects the group as a whole (Tomson Pieterse, 2010, p. 2). Moreover, outside of social loafing, group performance can also be negatively impacted by groupthink. Concerning group performance as a whole, groupthink is defined in Psychology: Evaluating connections, as a phenomenon that happens when the thinking of the group takes over, so much so that group members forgo logic or critical analysis in the service of reaching a decision (Fiest et al., 2016, p. 536 537). Likewise, it is discussed by Irving Janis (1971) in Groupthink, an article published in Psychology Today magazine, who was the first to propose its existence as a phenomena. Basing his theory on the thorough analysis of historical examples of poor decision such as the Bay of Pigs invasion, Janis concluded that groupthink arises when the members of decision making groups become motivated to avoid being too harsh in their judgments of their leaders or their colleagues ideas and avoid being critical of either their own or other s thinking (Janis, 1971, p. 84). This in turn leads to negative consequences for the group, such as the failure to consider other, more viable

  • 15. The Curriculum For Excellence And Education The Curriculum for Excellence, introduced in 2014, aims to transform education in Scotland for ages 3 18. It intends to progress the standards of education and learning in the country by moving away from more traditional methods of teaching. This strategy, developed by the Scottish Government, recognises that learningis a lifelong process, beginning at birth, and therefore it is important to employ methods which prepare children from a young age for a life of work. In order to do so, the curriculum is based on seven key principles which are designed to provide young people with the knowledge and skills for life in the 21st century. This knowledge and skill is learnt through experiences and opportunities which are carefully planned for each age group, encouraging space for learning out with the standard school subject boundaries. The programme has four main outcomes prompting children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Once an individual has completed the education programme, reflections of the curriculum s purpose can be assessed in the child or young person to see if they have met the proposed outcomes and therefore determining the overall success. One of the key principles of the curriculum is Health and Wellbeing. This area focuses on the development and maintenance of young people s mental, emotional, social and physical health. For that matter, what is a sustainable enterprise? Can being sustainable be good for business? Sustainability has achieved a more ecological tone in the past few decades in terms of a business model, but it originally derives from the concept that a business is successful due to the interconnected areas of economics, culture and ecology. Sustainability is now becoming a somewhat fad and thus it is understandable that it could be misconstrued by some as a form of greenwashing . Greenwashing is the idea that a company markets their green or environmentally friendly changes in policy and values, despite no actual concrete changes in these areas, for example some argue that Fiji Water greenwasher in terms of their marketing as an environmentally friendly water company despite their little effort to actually go carbon neutral. The witches are the base of the play, and without the weird sisters, there would not be a play. Throughout the play, the witches tempt Macbeth to do things that will make his fate come true. The witches add fuel to the fire by revealing to Macbeththe prophecies, which drive him to kill many of his friends, change his heart, and ultimately lead to his downfall. The witches advance the plot by telling Macbeth that he will, one day, become king which motivates him to betray and kill his closest friends. Macbeth knows that to become king, he needs to kill King Duncan. The witches also tell Banquo that he will be the father of kings saying, Thlu shalt get kings, though be none . (1.3.67). Macbeth believes that this will harm his fate of becoming king. To prevent that from happening, Macbeth hires murders to kill Banquo and Fleance, Banquo s son. The witches tell Macbeth to fear Macduff because of the way he was born because Macduff will defeat him. Even though Macbeth believes he has nothing to fear, he wants to kill Macduff anyways. All of the witches foresights drive Macbeth to kill his king and loyal friends. Along with murder, the weird sisters cause Macbeth to have a change of heart.

Dogs Are Not Tame Wolves Essay Dogs were the first animal, and the only large carnivore, to be domesticated. in both appearance and in both Dogs are not tame wolves, but how they became these unique companions to people is still being debated. There are several theories on how the evolution from wolf to dog came about. One theory is that the human environment attracted wolves. Wolves started following people around to take advantage of food scraps that were left behind. Eventually, wolves lost fear of people, and people lost fear of wolves. The benefits of this new relationship were not just one way. Wolves also helped humans by sniffing out prey and helping them hunt. Success likely meant the humans would share their food with wolves. This is a very popular theory, but it has been disputed. Archeological digs show that the early dogs were not eating the same mammoth meat that the humans were eating. Instead, their main diet consisted mostly of less popular human meat such as reindeer. The prehistoric dogs also had many broken teeth and severe facial wounds. Although these injuries could be from fighting with other dogs, many scientists believe the dogs had been beaten with sticks, leading many to assume the relationship between man and prehistoric dog was not as companionable as the theory would suggest. The conflicts with this first theory, have led some scientist to suggest a different theory. Some scientists propose that humans brought wolf pups to camp, possibly after finding them in

Even further, many of these philosophers who share the opinion that God does in fact exist also have opposing views as to how that affects their world view. For example, Descartes s narrator, in the fifth meditation comes to the conclusion, that God, an almighty benevolent being, is no deceiver, and holds all perfection. Within this system, the narrator attributes all things of the physical world to be material, although Descartes believes that some things are not of matter (i.e. soulor mind). Conversely, Berkeley, whom also is a believer of God s existence, believes that there is no material world or sensible realm without mind. That through God, the sensible is excited within us and although he, like Descartes narrator, does not believe the Author of Our Creation deceives us. Thus even without matter, the regularities of our lives are no accident and have purpose. These women together formed a bond through their various adversities, gradually taking them from strangers to companion. From an objective view, the audience is allowed to simply observe the events as they take place chronologically. Throughout the movie during some of the conflicting and traumatic scenes, one of the women recites a poem to signify and release the emotion being felt at that time. Tyler Perry s movie For Colored Girls was inspired by a stage play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, written by Ntozake Shanges. • 34. Difference Between School Life And College Life An Essay on School Life and College Life There is a great deal of difference between school life and college life. School life is a life of restrictions and control, a life in which the student has to be accountable for his daily work to his teachers and his guardian. But a college student, of the other hand, enjoys much greater freedom from control and supervision; he is, to a very large extent, the master of his own destiny. It lies with him to make it or mar it. At school the students has to be in attendance for fixed hours every day. He has to leave home at ten or eleven and return at four at college, however, the hours of attendance very. Sometimes, a college student has hardly time in the morning to gulp his food; at others, he has enough time to lounge about for a few minutes after a leisurely meal. On some days he returns early from college; or others, it is late evening by the time he gets back home. He has ample time at his disposal to use, abuse, or misuse. At school the student has to prepare his daily lessons and may be taken to task for what he has left undone. But at college he can do his lessons daily, or not at all, as fancy may please or conscience may dictate. He is left to his own resources; he must understand his difficulties, and find out ways and means to remove them. He must, for the most part, depend upon himself, and take the help of a friend or a teacher only as his means and circumstances permit.in one respect however, school life is more joyous then college life. A student can run about and exercise his limbs in school more vigorously then at college. The sight of boys shouting and running down the staircase or the corridors or in the school quadrangle is something that one will seldom find in a college. College boys are either boisterous and rowdy, or grave and decorous. They are must behave as grown up people. Of course, it the college happens to have its playgrounds, they can go there after college hours and take part in regular games. Nowadays every college has gymnasium to help student s build the body beautiful . A college, in other words, many not permit uproarious merriment, but it often gives larger opportunities for organized games sports. Another respect in which
