Positive Implications Of Teacher Attrition
Summary It is no secret that teacher attrition or teacher turnover, as it is known in the article by
Ronfeldt, Loeb, and Wyckoff, is a major problem for the United States and it has lasting effects on
schools and the individuals in those schools (Ronfeldt, Loeb, Wyckoff, 2012, p. 5). The authors
continue with the idea that most research done on teacher turnover has correlated it with negative
effects and this is one of the reasons for this research article because few papers and researchers have
tried to objectively determine if the effects are beneficial rather than just assuming that most teacher
turnover if not all is negative and has a harmful effect on schools (Ronfeldt, Loeb, Wyckoff, 2012, p.
5). The effects of teacher turnover can be many and two words that come up often in this article are
compositional explanations which are explanations that help deduce the total effects of the teacher s
quality and effectiveness on student achievement; in simpler terms, compositional explanations are
basically the team of teachers that are already at the school so their skills and quality will strong
indicators of student achievement, but are far and away from the only factors (Ronfeldt, Loeb,
Wyckoff, 2012, pp. 5 6). Examples of the negative and positive implications these explanations will
influence student achievement are varied, but a couple examples are: the revolving door of schools
with poor teacher performance and/or low student achievement and the supply and

Life In Urban America
Independence and freedom were at the found of American but ironically the new urban American
hindered both. With the increase of industry and growth of urban population, independence was lost.
People were trapped in a constant bustle. Early cities were repugnant. They were dirty, polluted and
over crowed. Life inside the city was detestable for most. The city s ways and forms were conceived
of as too artificial and of the wrong quality to support a more life . Warner draws forth the idea of the
city as artificial which is a very troubling quality. Life in the city was artificial and created a fake way
of life. This artificial form was the thing people wanted to avoid. The great populous cities of Europe
were over developed and lost their uniqueness they became artificial. ... Show more content on

Life in the agrarian society was centered around community. Within a city community is lost and so
are the people. The city changed the people who lived there. For the middle class of the late nineteenth
century the rural ideal was one positive element in the complex of conditions which shifted people s
attitude from being favorable to being hostile to city life .The new urban way of life destroyed
community and unity and replaced it with greed. Commerce overtook the minds of everyone. The
many negative aspects of urban life also troubled the city dwellers. Cities were dirty, dangerous, and
overcrowded. The crowding of factory, foreigners with ever new languages and habits these negative
pressures tended to drive the middle class from the city . Urban life made people want to leave but

The Consumption Of Two Goods
consumption of two goods
In economics a consumer is described as a rational individual who wishes to maximise their utility by
making rational choices. These choices appear when a consumer is exposed to two goods, where a
given amount of one good substitutes the use of another one. To calculate how a consumer can achieve
the optimal allocation of the two goods, an indifference curve is used and the analysis of an
indifference curve can be combined with the budget constraint. For the consumer, some combinations
are better than others for maximising utility, and the best combination is the optimal combination.
Consumers have preferences about the goods they consume. Therefore, when faced with a choice of
goods, the consumer must decide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consumers wish to have a higher number of goods than less. If the consumer added another book to
his bundle, he would have to sacrifice some water, in order to hold utility constant. One can calculate
how many glasses of water the consumer is willing to sacrifice for another book without changing his
total utility through the marginal rate of substitution. According to (BEGG et al., Economics, 11th
edition, McGraw Hill Education, 2014 ), the marginal rate of substitution between two goods
measures the quantity of a good the consumer must sacrifice to increase the quantity of the other good
by one unit without changing total utility. For example, if the consumer has 10 books and no water
and he reads 9 of these books, he won t enjoy the last one as much. Furthermore, by drinking no water
the consumer will be very dehydrated and won t enjoy reading at all, and so the utility of this
particular bundle would be extremely low. On the flip side, if the consumer drank a large amount of
water and read few books. As a result, he would be reluctant to sacrifice his books for even more
water. By and large, a consumer s preferences exhibit the diminishing marginal rate of substitution,
which means that when a consumer owns lot of one good, they will give up a comparatively large
amount of it to get another good of which they have little. We use indifference curves to portray our

My Mother Is Diagnosed With Breast Cancer
Introduction In 2012 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, for the following year and a half I
watched my mother undergo multiple surgeries, daily radiation, and a variety of other intensive
treatments. Throughout the entire process I watched my mother physically and mentally deteriorate.
At the time my knowledge of the disease was minimal and not only was I fearful of my mothers
future, but I was also unaware of the physiological functions that would overcome my mothers body
eternally. Following a year and a half of agonizing and aggressive treatments my family received the
news that my mother was officially in complete remission. Throughout my mothers battle with breast

Throughout my four years at Whittier College I have taken a variety of courses which have enabled
me to write this paper in a knowledgeable and purposeful manner. My minor in nutrition as well as my
major in kinesiology has supplied me with a foundation to further research this specific disease as well
as diet. I have taken diet and disease which has provided me with an understanding of how diet
impacts health and how specific chronic diseases have a direct correlation with the science of nutrition
and the lifestyle choices that individuals make. I have also taken numerous nutrition courses which
include upper division courses such as; fundamentals of nutrition, the science of nutrition, and sport
nutrition. All of these courses have enabled me to become an expert in nutrition as it relates to diet as
well as the classification of nutrients, digestion, biochemical processes, and crop sustainability. In
addition to these courses, I have also taken chemistry and exercise physiology, both of which have
permitted me to have a greater understanding to help distinguish the process by which our bodies
consume, digest, metabolize, and store nutrients and how they effect our bodies (Thompson, Manore,
Vaughan, 2014). In this specific paper I have also been able to use my knowledge in sociology of sport

Heath Ledger Research Paper
He is one of the well known jokers of all times, everyone compare all jokers to him, and he is the only
one who won an academy awards for his joker role. If you are wondering who I am talking about, I
am talking about Heath Ledger. Today I am here to convince you that Heath Ledger was the best joker
in the history of cinema. The joker is a fictional character who is the villain in Batman series. Ledger
however, was not the first person to play the role of joker, but he was the last, before the joker in
recent movie Suicide Squad which was played by Jared Leto. This is important to know because there
were many actors who played the role of joker and there will be more to come, but everyone, either in
movie industry or not, look up to Heath Ledger ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I. The first point that proves Heath was the best joker is the fact that his joker was truly evil. A. There
are many characteristics that make joker who he is, but the most important one is that he truly is evil.
Many actors fail to show that, but Ledger did a great job of showing the evil personality that joker
had. 1. As an anonymus source said in a movie review about Ledger s joker in CNN, According to a
Russian proverb, God makes the priests. Jesters come from the devil. You won t have any trouble
believing that aphorism when you see Heath Ledger s mesmerizing performance as the joker in the
Dark Knight. B. Many actors who played the role of joker, didn t successed in showing the evil side of
the joker. They rather showed him as a crazy person, which is true but that is not the only
characteristics that joker has. Ledger whoever did a pretty good job playing the evil joker. 1. As The
Daily Mail reviews his playing, Ledger is subtler and scarier then Jack Nicholson s joker was in Tim
Burton s first Batman film, but his character has nowhere to get except madder and

The Friar In The Canterbury Tales
The first characteristic of the Friar is his greed for monetary gain. Superficially it seems that he is a
man who begs for the poor, for his survival, hearing the confessions of sinners but it is obvious the
Friar is quite covetous and materialistic. He absolved sins freely when rewards are involved. If a man
paid coin to the Friar as penance he knew the man s repentance was sincere. This is an example of the
politics of the church in Chaucer s time when religion meant much to the people, which in turn meant
greedy men could act as paid saviors. Although a friar s job was to beg for the poor, the Friar used his
position as a beggar for his own personal gain. He also used his skill of talk and courteousness to
obtain coin from even the poorest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, all of the previous examples highlight not only other characteristics but his insincerity and
falseness as well. It is described many times how the Friar kept company with people of means than
the sick, poor and beggars. He begged in the name of the poor but did not associate with those he
supposedly begged for. The guise under which the Friar lived and worked proved him to be a false
man. The insincerity of the Friar is exemplified in his tale as well. His tale is about a thieving and
lecherous summoner; this displays his distrust of the position of a summoner; most likely because the
role of a summoner impedes on his financial gain. This feeling of distrust was mutual between the
Friar and the Summoner, which is explained possibly by not only greedy clergy men but issues of too
many religious positions. Most importantly his tale shows the Friar as a hypocrite. After he finishes
his tale the Friar asks everyone listening to pray for the summoners of the world to repent their evils
but his words are not genuine or heartfelt. On the surface the Friar may seem like a semi trustworthy
man but his traits reveal hypocritical

Null Hypothesis Test
1. The null hypothesis reveals the difference of data between 2010 and 2012, is consistent for all the
math equations. H0: Mu = 119,155 2. The data from the readers in 2012, reveals that the alternative
hypothesis is greater than 119,155, due to the difference in readers from 2010. Ha: MU 119,155 Based
on the results from the hypothesis tester for sigma known, the null hypothesis average income for
readers of 119,155 is to be rejected. However, the alternative hypothesis of greater than 119,155
should not be rejected. 4. The P value equals P (Z greater or equal to z) =P (Z greater or equal to 3.06)

With the possibility of the sample population obtaining an income of less than or equal to 119,155 is
highly unlikely. This indicates to use that the sample population has a higher chance of having the
average income or greater than 119,155. I am confident based on the statistics that the mean for the
income did increase due to the average income equal to 119,155 being rejected during the null
hypothesis test. The possibility of selecting a sample with an average income equal to or less than
119,155 is highly unlikely due to the calculated p value of .0011, which is an 0.11%. Furthermore,
there is sufficient evidence that is presented, that does not reject the alternative hypothesis, while in
fact the alternative hypothesis has a 99.98% possibility in occurring when choosing a population
sample. Due to the null hypothesis being rejected and the alternative hypothesis having a 99.98 %
chance of occurring, I would recommend raising the price for the magazine. In the chance that the
Alpha was 0.1, the likelihood of the creating type one error decreases from .05 to .01, this makes it
more difficult to reject the hypothesis. Although, in this situation, the null hypothesis will still be
rejected due to the p value of .0011 still being less than

The Fear Within the Boys in Lord of the Flies by William...
The thing is fear can t hurt you any more than a dream ( William Golding quotes. ). Fear lives to haunt
and torment the person to a point of destruction and can be within everyone. Although a person is able
to overcome fear, it is still very dangerous because it affects the person as well as everyone and
everything around. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the boys are all so overwhelmed
by fear that the island starts to recede into a state damaged beyond repair. In this case, Jack s fear of
not being leader originally starts to affect him, but it gradually starts to affect Ralph, and the rest of the
boys. Ralph s fear of survival brings out his inner savageness and an innocent life is taken away.

I m going to be chief (Golding 146) and no rules unlike Ralph which is very savage like. Jack knows
that the boys like to hunt so he lures them into joining his tribe by promising to hunt. What he does
not know is that hunting will make them lose reality and turn them into savages with no morals. When
Jack does everything he can to keep power, the boys lose all sense of civilization and destroy the
island, destroying themselves in the process.
Despite the fact that Jack s fear of not being chief ends badly, Ralph s fear of not surviving has another
whole level of bad endings. Ralph s main concern when the boys crash into the island is being
rescued, but because of this, he neglects other problems such as looking out for littluns. That litte un

so blinded by the idea of being rescued that he forgets his priorities. He should be watching the
littluns, but instead, he is being selfish and cares only about the fire. As a consequence to his poor
action, an innocent life is taken away. Also when a ship comes by and Ralph realizes that the hunters
let the fire out, he loses it and he yells at Jack, but his voice was loud and savage, and struck them into
silence. There was a ship (Golding 74). This is the first time that Ralph shows any sign of savagery,
which tells the readers that evil and savageness is

Animal Testing And The Utilization Of Animals
Ever since the beginning of human history, to the reign of the Mongols, and even to the colonization
of the Americas, disease has played a role in shaping society. Its negative impacts has depopulated
many cities, countries, and empires. In the distant past, it was quite difficult to avoid contagious
diseases. However, in today s society, steps have been taken to discover new effective modes of
treatment through animal testing. Such testing; however, has proved to be quite a controversial issue
due to ethics and its utilization of animals. Despite any objections, the use of genetically bred animals
is imperative for the purpose of discovering new medications to treat various terminal diseases.
Every year, approximately 36 million people die ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, we only use only 26 million animals in research. More specifically, we eat 1,800 more pigs than
are used in the labs. Is our diet really more important than prolonging our lives? In fact, animals bred
for research live longer than animals bred for slaughter. This perception is very unreasonable
considering there is not any ongoing controversy against slaughtering animals for food. This is not to
say that we should not eat pork or beef, but rather it is a statement of agreement that if you are allowed
to take a life of an animal for food, then researchers should have a right to use lab animals for the
purpose of saving lives.
We all hope for that day when animal research is no longer needed, but as of now, it is such a
necessity. If you ask a parent who has a child that is dying from cancer, would you think they would
oppose the only way their child can have a future? If you have a family member who is withering at
the hand of the Alzheimer s disease, would you take away their only hope? If the answer is no, let us
all come together and appreciate lab animals and the function they do to help maintain the human

Education Trends Paper
Education Practices
Educational practices are developed through the results of research and studies showing how theory,
research, and practice work together to achieve positive outcomes (Dignam, Duffield, Stasa, Gray,
Jackson, Daly. 2012. p. 69). A nurse administrator must set a model of excellence to provide the
learner opportunities that encourage current trends in the healthcare setting to ensure quality patient
care. The purpose of this paper is to look at trends in education and how these educational practices
will influence my role as a nurse administrator.
Leadership and Education Trends
In reviewing current trends, educators must take into account adult learning principles that include
three different styles. These styles consist of the auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Programs
must be developed to include or to allow the adult learner to choose their preferred learning style. For
example, Donna Wright provides a competency program that is designed around eleven different
elements of competencies.
The evolution of multimedia as an educational medium allows nurse educators additional tools to
promote several learning styles to meet the needs of the adult learner (Lua Pei, Nor Khaira Wahida,
2014. p. 3 ). The development of programs and educational opportunities utilizing evidenced based
practice ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

education is more crucial than ever. There needs to be a strong foundation for the best educational
practices for future leaders to obtain the knowledge and skills to advance the science of nursing
education (Patterson Krouse, 2015). These educational programs need to be of high quality and be
evidence based. The success of teaching and learning in nursing programs is contingent upon strong
leadership within schools of

particularly unconscious of Canadian culture and of television s potential harm to inter personal

Essay about Perceptions of Persistence of Memory
Perceptions of Persistence of Memory
Although visual art is looked upon differently by all, everyone has a either a favorite piece or at least
something that catches their eye. Personally, I don t have a piece of art that I would label my absolute
favorite, but during a Spanish research project found that Salvador Dali s work really stood out. The
Persistence of Memory painted in 1931 by Dali, a highly renowned surrealist painter, is among the
most interesting works I have ever seen. Even though the painting itself is rather simple in quality at
first glance, what Dali s must have been thinking about while creating this work is strikingly complex.
The painting is attractive to me because it deals with the concept of time, something ... Show more

It is reasonable, I think, to assume that most people could have created a landscape painting with
mountains being reflected into a sea, and that may have been Dali s goal when he started to paint The
Persistence of Memory. However, there remains no doubt that Dali s subconscious was at work here
because no one else could ever imagine the exact image depicting melting time as seen here. The
conscious part of the brain is the area that is alive and comprehends what is happening to one and the
world around one. The landscape, Catalonia, Spain (Dali s hometown), was the result of Dali s
conscious mind because he was living it and taking it in with his own two eyes. Everything stemmed
from thoughts of daydreams, bad memories, and other possible goods or evils that dwell in the
subconscious mind. Wikipedia explains that Sigmund Freud believed that the unconscious mind was a
depository of wishes, desires, socially unacceptable ideas, traumatic memories, and/or painful
emotions.
Dali s painting appears to be representative of mainly the subconscious mind because many of the
elements in the painting express objects or ideas that are highly characteristic of memories, dreams, or
even socially unacceptable elements. More importantly, The Museum of Modern Art explains that a
year before this painting was made Dali began to undergo his paranoiac critical method which

Malpractice And Malpractice Of A Healthcare Organization
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This paper will be discussing tort as it relates to negligence and malpractice in a healthcare
organization. It will try explain how negligence and malpractice drive up the cost of healthcare and
how there has been a clamor tort reform, what would be the content of the reform and the expected
outcome. Lastly the essay would prove to us that there is no indication since tort reform has been
implemented, that points to a reduction in the cost of healthcare and the cost of running a healthcare
organization in relation to paying high malpractice insurance.
TORT
Tort is a civil wrong for which a court of law provides remedy for a civil wrong that has been
committed against an individual, Remedy could be sought for a personal loss, financial loss, and
personal injury (Smith, 1993). A tort is simply the Norman word for a wrong but torts have typically
been distinguished from crimes and from wrongs identified with contractual relations. Tort law, then,
is concerned with civil wrongs not arising from contracts (White, 2003, p.xxiii).During the very early
years of tort been introduced in to legal discourse and proceeding, tort was considered as a wrong that
came by way or forceful damage or hurt. It was widely regarded both as a civil wrong and a criminal
during those early years, civil wrongs can be classified as a wrong that involves no violence and also a
wrong that involves an element of force and violence (Street, 1906).

The Contribution Of Galileo
Galileo Galilei, an Italian scientist, made groundbreaking observations that contributed to modern
physics and astronomy. Galileo established mathematics as the language of scientific discovery. He
founded the scientific method and helped establish the modern practice of experimentation and
calculated laws of nature.
In July of 1609, Galileo developed his own telescope and with it, he made several astronomical
discoveries. For example, Galileo discovered that the surface of the moon is rough and uneven as
opposed to smooth as people had thought. Galileo also discovered with his telescope that many more
stars exist than are visible to the naked eye. According to author E.B., Galileo also found sunspots
upon the surface of our star and discovered the phases of Venus, which confirmed that the planet
circles the sun inside Earth s own orbit (45).
Galileo was also curious about how things move, and this curiosity led to important discoveries in
physics. For instance, he questioned the then current belief that heavy objects fall faster than light
ones. In order to refute this, Galileo did many experiments. For example, it is said that he dropped two
different weights from the Tower of Pisa to show that they hit the ground at the same time, a
demonstration that paved the way for Isaac Newton s Laws of Motion. Galileo also tested his theory
by rolling balls down an inclined plane at various angles. These experiments lead to Galileo s the law
of falling bodies. This law states that all objects will fall at an equal rate when accounting for
relatively minor differences in aerodynamics and weather conditions.
Another discovery Galileo made with regards to motion was about the pendulum. The author of An
Inquisitive Mind Kim Zarins wrote about the experiment:
Galileo made two pendulums with string of equal lengths and a lead ball at the end of each. Then he
pulled one ball back twice as far as the other, and let them both go at the same time. He expected to
see the ball with the longer swing take a longer time to move back and forth. In fact, both pendulums
moved in perfect synchronization! They swung at the same rate, even though one pendulum was
moving twice as far and one ball was heavier than the other (41).

Abraham Lincoln And The Civil War Essay
Introduction
The Civil War was a war between the union, and confederate states in the United States that occurred
from 1861 1865. Many people believed that the Civil War was about slavery and southern states right
to defend their states rights. The confederates were fighting for their liberty and independence under
the leadership of Abraham Lincoln, who they felt was a tyrant. However, the union, was fighting to
preserve their territory, that was created by their founding fathers from chaos and dismemberment.
President Jefferson Davis believed that the civil war was based on the confederate rights to secede
from the union. Jefferson also felt that Abraham Lincoln was to blamed for the start of the civil war,
since he was against slavery. Lincoln s intended goal was to preserve the union, he claimed slavery
was not the reason. If I could save the union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could
save it by freeing all slaves I would do it, and if I could slave it by freeing some and leaving others
alone I would also do that (Shi Tindall, 2015, pg.465) . Lincoln told everyone that if the southern
states were to return to the union that slavery would still exist. However, many people believed that
Lincoln wasn t being truthful.

Freedom Of Speech About New York City
From the time one sets foot in New York City everything feels different, the atmosphere, the people,
and the scenery. New York is a whole other world set apart from the real world. It is seen as the place
to be in order to conquer dreams. It is the epitome of the American dream and what America stands for
as a country. It is the place where one goes to make it big. It is a symbol of freedom, history, and
entertainment. While I was in New York I gained an insight into just how free and beautiful our
country really is. It truly changes a person and their appreciation for society. Americans often take
freedom for granted. In this country, we have the freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom
of the press, just to name a few. In some

Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections
Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections
The purpose of this paper is to identify an issue identified by the National Council of State Boards of
Nursing NCLEX examination blueprint. The identified issue that I will be addressing for this paper is
catheter associated urinary tract infections and is under the category of safety and infection control;
according to (INSERT NCSBN CITATION) this issue falls under the overview of safe and effective
care for patients. The importance of addressing this issue is one that can potentially aid in the patient
having a higher satisfaction rate for the facility and the facility not potentially having to pay for
services not covered by insurance after the infection develops. ... Show more content on

Taking a look at the patients that have increased rates tend to be of female gender due to the shortened
urethra which allows the bacteremia to travel at a shorter distance than that of males, some of the other
risk factors for higher catheter associated urinary tract infections include patients that are of older age,
prolonged catheterization and impaired immunity (Conway, Larson 2012). With respect to cultural
values that may affect this situation they are none that I could find correlating with catheter associated
hospital infections. Proposed Solution
Through extensive research into catheter associated urinary tract infections there are many different
approaches to reducing the modifiable risk factors and the incidence of catheter associated urinary
tract infections in the hospital setting that can be used in any unit to reduce the liability of catheter
associated urinary tract infections. According to (Gesmundo, 2016)) the prolonging of the catheter
removal is one of the major reasons for catheter associated urinary tract infections. When adopting the
principles of how to lower the rate the success begins at the time of admission and

Designer Babies Research Paper
Designer Babies Why do people want designer babies? Couples in this generation have been choosing
to go through with methods to make sure that their child is made the way they want, also known as
designer babies. A designer baby is one whose genetic make up has been selected by genetic
engineering to ensure the presence or absence of particular genes or characteristics. People may use
this to avoid passing on gender linked genetic diseases such as blindness, deafness, autism and
cancers. Some may also use this as a way of having a baby of the sex opposite to the one they may
already have. This can also be called family balancing to have children of both genders in a family.

The PGD process has also enhanced children and increased the human lifespan up to 30 years. With
these technologies improving, it keeps up to date with modern technology and gives us a wider variety
of procedures and choices to choose from. Although there are positive things that come from the use
of genetic engineering, there are also cons associated with genetically modifying your baby. The first
one is that the technology is not 100% safe yet and the process is still being experimented on. This
also means that if it is not done properly and carefully, the embryo could be terminated. It is also
unknown yet if modifying the babies could affect family trees and if they may or may not have
problems later on in life. While couples are using PGD to prevent disorders, some want to use it for
personal preference reasons. For e.g. wanting a baby with blue eyes, blonde hair and intelligence. This
also means that there could be a gap in society where designer babies would be better looking and
smarter. This could damage our ability to change as humans and lead to loss of individuality from the
popular interests like intelligence and

The Importance Of Typology In Christianity
Christianity has been from the beginning a typological religion. Typology in Christian theology and
Biblical exegesis is a doctrine or theory concerning the relationship between the Old and New
Testaments . (Merriam Webster 868) Perhaps the single most important concept for understanding
early Christianity is typology. Typology is a form of study of literature identifying symbols especially
in the Bible. This system of groupings, usually called types, the members of which are identified by
postulating specified attributes that are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive groupings set
up to aid demonstration or inquiry by establishing a limited relationship among phenomena. Typology
is interpreted throughout text in American literature such as William Bradford s Plymouth Plantation,
Jonathan Edward s Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and Thomas Paine Common Sense. During
the Enlightenment, the meaning of Protestant identity became increasingly vague; typology took on
the hazy significance of image and symbol; what passed for the divine plan had lost its strict
grounding sculpture; providence itself was shaken loose from its religious frame work to became part
of the belief in the human progress. The eighteenth century clergy took advantage of this movement to
shift the focus of figural authority, from Bible history to the American experience. In effect, they
substituted a regional for a biblical past, sanctified the American present as a movement from promise

Watching Myself On Tape Analysis
Having the ability to watch myself on tape, analysis it so that you know how you have progressed and

able to get past the self consciousness, I believe I was able to delve into evaluating the progress I had
made and places where I could use some extra attention.

During the course of the plié sequence that we would do as a warm up, it caught my eye that my
pelvis is not square while moving through each stance and that I need to be more mindful about
whether or not my shoulders and pelvis are square. Squareness is having the capacity to control the
pelvis and shoulders during the course of traveling through a variety of planes. As I continue to work
on this and continue to transition into more of the how I am physicalizing a movement instead of the

would shift out of turn out as it traveled through the movement. I began this class thinking that I knew
a lot more than I actually did, and also knowing that I had so much to learn starting at ground zero.

The Song Of The Md Poem Analysis
Throughout history, people of different backgrounds have perceived the act of going to war
differently, and it was often reflected in literature in the form of poetry. Some poets, such as Richard
Lovelace and Alfred Lord Tennyson, glorified and honored sacrifice; in contrast, others like Mary
Borden and Wilfred Owen, condemned war and viewed it as a waste of life. The two poetry
collections, while both discuss the effect of going to war, have very distinct central themes. The
difference can be depicted mainly through each poet s tone and diction, in addition to sound elements
and the point of view. While each element contributes to engaging and/or persuading the reader, an
analysis of those elements, and research on the history of each era, must be done in order to properly
define the motives and purpose of each work of literature.

In The Song of the Mud, Borden uses ironic diction in descriptive lines, such as: The pale yellow
glistening mud that covers the hills like satin While the focus of the poem is exposing the mud as an
active player in the Battle of the Somme, in addition to being the disguise of the war zone, most lines
throughout the poem compare the obvious appearance of the mud to the impertinent, intrusive,
ubiquitous...obscene, filthy, putrid effect it has on the machines, corpses, and most importantly the
soldiers. Similarly, in Dulce et Decorum Est, Owen uses realism to illustrate the dreadful experience
of being forced to fight in war, highlighting the vicious effect of the gas on a comrade in a dream
sequence: Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud / Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues. The tone
deduced from these lines is repugnant and blaming. Finally, Owen resolves to accusing war of being
wasteful, stating that dying for one s country is not sweet or honorable: The old Lie: Dulce et decorum

How Language Deficiency Relates to Antisocial Behavior Essay
Stuttering and the mispronunciation of words are two common types of language deficiencies. Being
unable to speak properly could have numerous effects on a person in society, which could lead to
antisocial behavior. If a person becomes antisocial, they lack what it takes to coexist with society in an
acceptable manner. The person with this behavior usually affects society in a negative way. Speech is
the sound that comes out of our mouth and language is a measure of intelligence. When a person has a
problem with either it is called a language disorder. These disorders can be caused by a range of
things. Hearing could be an issue if the child has delayed speech or language. Intellectual disability is
a common cause of language disorders. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Antisocial behavior consists of acts that harm people physically or psychologically. Lying, stealing,
assaulting others, being cruel to others, being argumentative, and being sexually promiscuous are all
examples of antisocial behavior. Most people with the disorder are males. The females that have it are
usually not physically violent. The level of aggressiveness in each individual varies depending on
when they developed the disorder. In children it is called a conduct disorder, in adults as antisocial
personality disorder. A person that develops the disorder during childhood is more likely to carry it
into adulthood. They are also the most aggressive when it comes to physical violence. However, a
child that develops antisocial behavior at or after puberty has a better chance of the disorder not
continuing into adulthood. Adults that engage in antisocial behavior are risking their mental and
physical health. Engaging in such acts increases the risk of alcoholism, cigarette smoking, illegal drug
use, high risk sexual behavior, depression, and for engaging in violent acts towards others and towards
themselves. There are treatments for antisocial behavior. The people with lower levels of the behavior
can get help from programs that teach conflict resolution, emotional literacy, and anger management
skills. Higher levels of this behavior can be treated

Symptoms And Treatment Of Chicken Pox
Introduction
The illness that I have chosen for my report is Chicken Pox. Chicken Pox is a common disease
amongst children. The disease is highly contagious and can spread through contact with someone who
has chicken pox. Chicken pox in children can spread through cough or sneeze and also through the
clothing or bed linen of an affected person. Most children encounter chicken pox once in their infancy.
However through proper care and precautions, the illness can be avoided. During my research for this
paper, I have come across effective precautions that can be taught to children to avoid this illness.
Chicken Pox

(Hoffmann, 2008). The disease is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The virus usually affects the nerves and commonly causes the chicken pox. Various medicines have
been developed to treat the virus, include some vaccines which can help in preventing the diseases
cause by the varicella virus (Hoffmann, 2008).
Symptoms of Chicken Pox
Usually the chicken pox infections lasts around 8 to 10 days. The most common symptom of chicken
pox is the red rash. The red rash is extremely itchy and appears as a spot. The rash that appears in the
initial period goes through three stages. The first stage is raised red bumps that cause itchiness. The
red bumps break over in a few days. The next stage is the fluid filled blisters, known as vesicles, that
are formed after the red bumps break. These fluid filled blisters should not be scratched. In the last
stage the fluid filled blisters break and are then covered by crusts and scabs. This is the last stage after
which the healing process begins. New spots appear every day on the body therefore it is possible that
the affected person experiences the three stages of the rash at the same time (Mayo Clinic, 2015). The
rashes always appear in clusters and start appearing first at the back, stomach and chest. The rashes
commonly occur on the face, behind the ears, on stomach chest and back and on the arms and legs.
High fever is also a common symptom experiences by people affected by chicken pox disease. The
fever can be as high as 103 104 Fahrenheit. Many children also experience extreme fatigue

In my point of view family is what helps people perceive our cultural identity. They create examples
of different pieces of your culture and can provide different impacts in ours. They are the people that
most support it and keep the traditions and celebrations alive in my situation. We have created many
memories together over the years and have started new traditions together. Our bond can sometimes

Pipelines Are Making Headlines Lately For All The Wrong...
Pipelines are making headlines lately for all the wrong reasons. It is important to address why they are
perceived to be harmful, if they actually are, and how they can be improved for the future, or if they
should be eliminated. The use of pipelines date back as far as 500BC in China. In those times, the
pipelines were made of bamboo, used to separate the salt from the sea water. The United States did not
adopt these until much later. Edwin L. Drake drilled his first commercial oil well in the United States
near the city Titusville in Pennsylvania; the oil which they nicknamed rock oil was then used as a less
expensive alternative to whale oil. It was used as lubricant and as fuel for lamps. It was not long after
this that it was realized they would need a more cost effective way of transporting the oil from place to
place. At the time, Teamsters were using horses and wagons to get the oil to the markets; one barrel
going five miles costed more than the entire rail charged to go to New York City. For that reason, the
pipeline was created. The first pipelines were nothing special; they were short and sometimes made of
wood. With their growing popularity into the 1860s, the quality control followed over the pipe
manufacturing, switching from wrought iron to steal. (Pipeline 101, n.d.) Coming into the twenty first
century, the pipeline has still been playing a key role in the oil industry. Given, its importance to the
oil industry it is important to understand how

The World Of The War Propaganda By Alice Goldfarb Marquis
At the beginning of the war, the British army relied on volunteers to swell the ranks, which
propaganda facilitated. Newspaper articles were one of the main forms of media that spread British
pro war propaganda. Alice Goldfarb Marquis writes that the articles were seen as powerful movers of
men and women; they became mobilizers of the national spirit, calls to courage, to sacrifice and,
finally, to simple endurance (467). This statement portrays the general message of all articles: the men
must have courage and be ready to make sacrifices for the greater good of their country. Describing
the journalists as powerful movers of men and women (467) demonstrates journalists abilities to
empower the British people to enter the war. Journalists were at the forefront of creating propaganda
and influencing people to take action. Marquis describes the role of the journalist as an engineer of
souls playing on the whole keyboard of human instincts... to incite action , and employing a
tremendous apparatus the press (467). Referring to the journalists as engineers of souls, (467) makes it
clear that the journalists had the ability to manipulate the people, and in this case, the journalists were
inclined to incite action, (467) highlighting the ability of their articles to motivate people to take up
arms. Furthermore, with access to the press, journalists were allowed to quickly circulate their articles
around the country, allowing them to swiftly engineer the masses at

  • 2. Positive Implications Of Teacher Attrition Summary It is no secret that teacher attrition or teacher turnover, as it is known in the article by Ronfeldt, Loeb, and Wyckoff, is a major problem for the United States and it has lasting effects on schools and the individuals in those schools (Ronfeldt, Loeb, Wyckoff, 2012, p. 5). The authors continue with the idea that most research done on teacher turnover has correlated it with negative effects and this is one of the reasons for this research article because few papers and researchers have tried to objectively determine if the effects are beneficial rather than just assuming that most teacher turnover if not all is negative and has a harmful effect on schools (Ronfeldt, Loeb, Wyckoff, 2012, p. 5). The effects of teacher turnover can be many and two words that come up often in this article are compositional explanations which are explanations that help deduce the total effects of the teacher s quality and effectiveness on student achievement; in simpler terms, compositional explanations are basically the team of teachers that are already at the school so their skills and quality will strong indicators of student achievement, but are far and away from the only factors (Ronfeldt, Loeb, Wyckoff, 2012, pp. 5 6). Examples of the negative and positive implications these explanations will influence student achievement are varied, but a couple examples are: the revolving door of schools with poor teacher performance and/or low student achievement and the supply and ... • 3. Life In Urban America Independence and freedom were at the found of American but ironically the new urban American hindered both. With the increase of industry and growth of urban population, independence was lost. People were trapped in a constant bustle. Early cities were repugnant. They were dirty, polluted and over crowed. Life inside the city was detestable for most. The city s ways and forms were conceived of as too artificial and of the wrong quality to support a more life . Warner draws forth the idea of the city as artificial which is a very troubling quality. Life in the city was artificial and created a fake way of life. This artificial form was the thing people wanted to avoid. The great populous cities of Europe were over developed and lost their uniqueness they became artificial. ... The city changed the people who lived there. For the middle class of the late nineteenth century the rural ideal was one positive element in the complex of conditions which shifted people s attitude from being favorable to being hostile to city life .The new urban way of life destroyed community and unity and replaced it with greed. Commerce overtook the minds of everyone. The many negative aspects of urban life also troubled the city dwellers. Cities were dirty, dangerous, and overcrowded. The crowding of factory, foreigners with ever new languages and habits these negative pressures tended to drive the middle class from the city . • 4. The Consumption Of Two Goods consumption of two goods In economics a consumer is described as a rational individual who wishes to maximise their utility by making rational choices. These choices appear when a consumer is exposed to two goods, where a given amount of one good substitutes the use of another one. To calculate how a consumer can achieve the optimal allocation of the two goods, an indifference curve is used and the analysis of an indifference curve can be combined with the budget constraint. For the consumer, some combinations are better than others for maximising utility, and the best combination is the optimal combination. Consumers have preferences about the goods they consume. Therefore, when faced with a choice of goods, the consumer must decide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Consumers wish to have a higher number of goods than less. If the consumer added another book to his bundle, he would have to sacrifice some water, in order to hold utility constant. One can calculate how many glasses of water the consumer is willing to sacrifice for another book without changing his total utility through the marginal rate of substitution. According to (BEGG et al., Economics, 11th edition, McGraw Hill Education, 2014 ), the marginal rate of substitution between two goods measures the quantity of a good the consumer must sacrifice to increase the quantity of the other good by one unit without changing total utility. For example, if the consumer has 10 books and no water and he reads 9 of these books, he won t enjoy the last one as much. Furthermore, by drinking no water the consumer will be very dehydrated and won t enjoy reading at all, and so the utility of this particular bundle would be extremely low. On the flip side, if the consumer drank a large amount of water and read few books. As a result, he would be reluctant to sacrifice his books for even more water. By and large, a consumer s preferences exhibit the diminishing marginal rate of substitution, which means that when a consumer owns lot of one good, they will give up a comparatively large amount of it to get another good of which they have little. We use indifference curves to portray our hypotheses ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My Mother Is Diagnosed With Breast Cancer Introduction In 2012 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, for the following year and a half I watched my mother undergo multiple surgeries, daily radiation, and a variety of other intensive treatments. Throughout the entire process I watched my mother physically and mentally deteriorate. At the time my knowledge of the disease was minimal and not only was I fearful of my mothers future, but I was also unaware of the physiological functions that would overcome my mothers body eternally. Following a year and a half of agonizing and aggressive treatments my family received the news that my mother was officially in complete remission. Throughout my four years at Whittier College I have taken a variety of courses which have enabled me to write this paper in a knowledgeable and purposeful manner. My minor in nutrition as well as my major in kinesiology has supplied me with a foundation to further research this specific disease as well as diet. I have taken diet and disease which has provided me with an understanding of how diet impacts health and how specific chronic diseases have a direct correlation with the science of nutrition and the lifestyle choices that individuals make. I have also taken numerous nutrition courses which include upper division courses such as; fundamentals of nutrition, the science of nutrition, and sport nutrition. All of these courses have enabled me to become an expert in nutrition as it relates to diet as well as the classification of nutrients, digestion, biochemical processes, and crop sustainability. In addition to these courses, I have also taken chemistry and exercise physiology, both of which have permitted me to have a greater understanding to help distinguish the process by which our bodies consume, digest, metabolize, and store nutrients and how they effect our bodies (Thompson, Manore, Vaughan, 2014). • 6. Heath Ledger Research Paper He is one of the well known jokers of all times, everyone compare all jokers to him, and he is the only one who won an academy awards for his joker role. If you are wondering who I am talking about, I am talking about Heath Ledger. Today I am here to convince you that Heath Ledger was the best joker in the history of cinema. The joker is a fictional character who is the villain in Batman series. Ledger however, was not the first person to play the role of joker, but he was the last, before the joker in recent movie Suicide Squad which was played by Jared Leto. This is important to know because there were many actors who played the role of joker and there will be more to come, but everyone, either in movie industry or not, look up to Heath Ledger ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I. The first point that proves Heath was the best joker is the fact that his joker was truly evil. A. There are many characteristics that make joker who he is, but the most important one is that he truly is evil. Many actors fail to show that, but Ledger did a great job of showing the evil personality that joker had. 1. As an anonymus source said in a movie review about Ledger s joker in CNN, According to a Russian proverb, God makes the priests. Jesters come from the devil. You won t have any trouble believing that aphorism when you see Heath Ledger s mesmerizing performance as the joker in the Dark Knight. B. Many actors who played the role of joker, didn t successed in showing the evil side of the joker. They rather showed him as a crazy person, which is true but that is not the only characteristics that joker has. Ledger whoever did a pretty good job playing the evil joker. 1. As The Daily Mail reviews his playing, Ledger is subtler and scarier then Jack Nicholson s joker was in Tim Burton s first Batman film, but his character has nowhere to get except madder and ... • 7. The Friar In The Canterbury Tales The first characteristic of the Friar is his greed for monetary gain. Superficially it seems that he is a man who begs for the poor, for his survival, hearing the confessions of sinners but it is obvious the Friar is quite covetous and materialistic. He absolved sins freely when rewards are involved. If a man paid coin to the Friar as penance he knew the man s repentance was sincere. This is an example of the politics of the church in Chaucer s time when religion meant much to the people, which in turn meant greedy men could act as paid saviors. Although a friar s job was to beg for the poor, the Friar used his position as a beggar for his own personal gain. He also used his skill of talk and courteousness to obtain coin from even the poorest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, all of the previous examples highlight not only other characteristics but his insincerity and falseness as well. It is described many times how the Friar kept company with people of means than the sick, poor and beggars. He begged in the name of the poor but did not associate with those he supposedly begged for. The guise under which the Friar lived and worked proved him to be a false man. The insincerity of the Friar is exemplified in his tale as well. His tale is about a thieving and lecherous summoner; this displays his distrust of the position of a summoner; most likely because the role of a summoner impedes on his financial gain. This feeling of distrust was mutual between the Friar and the Summoner, which is explained possibly by not only greedy clergy men but issues of too many religious positions. Most importantly his tale shows the Friar as a hypocrite. After he finishes his tale the Friar asks everyone listening to pray for the summoners of the world to repent their evils but his words are not genuine or heartfelt. On the surface the Friar may seem like a semi trustworthy man but his traits reveal hypocritical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The data from the readers in 2012, reveals that the alternative hypothesis is greater than 119,155, due to the difference in readers from 2010. Ha: MU 119,155 Based on the results from the hypothesis tester for sigma known, the null hypothesis average income for readers of 119,155 is to be rejected. However, the alternative hypothesis of greater than 119,155 should not be rejected. 4. The P value equals P (Z greater or equal to z) =P (Z greater or equal to 3.06) equals .0011. With the possibility of the sample population obtaining an income of less than or equal to 119,155 is highly unlikely. This indicates to use that the sample population has a higher chance of having the average income or greater than 119,155. I am confident based on the statistics that the mean for the income did increase due to the average income equal to 119,155 being rejected during the null hypothesis test. The possibility of selecting a sample with an average income equal to or less than 119,155 is highly unlikely due to the calculated p value of .0011, which is an 0.11%. Furthermore, there is sufficient evidence that is presented, that does not reject the alternative hypothesis, while in fact the alternative hypothesis has a 99.98% possibility in occurring when choosing a population sample. Due to the null hypothesis being rejected and the alternative hypothesis having a 99.98 % chance of occurring, I would recommend raising the price for the magazine. In the chance that the Alpha was 0.1, the likelihood of the creating type one error decreases from .05 to .01, this makes it more difficult to reject the hypothesis. Fear lives to haunt and torment the person to a point of destruction and can be within everyone. Although a person is able to overcome fear, it is still very dangerous because it affects the person as well as everyone and everything around. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the boys are all so overwhelmed by fear that the island starts to recede into a state damaged beyond repair. What he does not know is that hunting will make them lose reality and turn them into savages with no morals. When Jack does everything he can to keep power, the boys lose all sense of civilization and destroy the island, destroying themselves in the process. Despite the fact that Jack s fear of not being chief ends badly, Ralph s fear of not surviving has another whole level of bad endings. Ralph s main concern when the boys crash into the island is being rescued, but because of this, he neglects other problems such as looking out for littluns. That litte un gasped Piggy him with the mark of his face, I don t see him. Where is he now? (Golding 46). Ralph is so blinded by the idea of being rescued that he forgets his priorities. He should be watching the littluns, but instead, he is being selfish and cares only about the fire. As a consequence to his poor action, an innocent life is taken away. Also when a ship comes by and Ralph realizes that the hunters let the fire out, he loses it and he yells at Jack, but his voice was loud and savage, and struck them into silence. • 11. Animal Testing And The Utilization Of Animals Ever since the beginning of human history, to the reign of the Mongols, and even to the colonization of the Americas, disease has played a role in shaping society. Its negative impacts has depopulated many cities, countries, and empires. In the distant past, it was quite difficult to avoid contagious diseases. However, in today s society, steps have been taken to discover new effective modes of treatment through animal testing. Such testing; however, has proved to be quite a controversial issue due to ethics and its utilization of animals. Despite any objections, the use of genetically bred animals is imperative for the purpose of discovering new medications to treat various terminal diseases. Every year, approximately 36 million people die ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet, we only use only 26 million animals in research. More specifically, we eat 1,800 more pigs than are used in the labs. Is our diet really more important than prolonging our lives? In fact, animals bred for research live longer than animals bred for slaughter. This perception is very unreasonable considering there is not any ongoing controversy against slaughtering animals for food. This is not to say that we should not eat pork or beef, but rather it is a statement of agreement that if you are allowed to take a life of an animal for food, then researchers should have a right to use lab animals for the purpose of saving lives. We all hope for that day when animal research is no longer needed, but as of now, it is such a necessity. If you ask a parent who has a child that is dying from cancer, would you think they would oppose the only way their child can have a future? Education Trends Paper Education Practices Educational practices are developed through the results of research and studies showing how theory, research, and practice work together to achieve positive outcomes (Dignam, Duffield, Stasa, Gray, Jackson, Daly. 2012. p. 69). A nurse administrator must set a model of excellence to provide the learner opportunities that encourage current trends in the healthcare setting to ensure quality patient care. The purpose of this paper is to look at trends in education and how these educational practices will influence my role as a nurse administrator. Leadership and Education Trends In reviewing current trends, educators must take into account adult learning principles that include three different styles. These styles consist of the auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Programs must be developed to include or to allow the adult learner to choose their preferred learning style. For example, Donna Wright provides a competency program that is designed around eleven different elements of competencies. The evolution of multimedia as an educational medium allows nurse educators additional tools to promote several learning styles to meet the needs of the adult learner (Lua Pei, Nor Khaira Wahida, 2014. p. 3 ). Personally, I don t have a piece of art that I would label my absolute favorite, but during a Spanish research project found that Salvador Dali s work really stood out. The Persistence of Memory painted in 1931 by Dali, a highly renowned surrealist painter, is among the most interesting works I have ever seen. Even though the painting itself is rather simple in quality at first glance, what Dali s must have been thinking about while creating this work is strikingly complex. The painting is attractive to me because it deals with the concept of time, something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is reasonable, I think, to assume that most people could have created a landscape painting with mountains being reflected into a sea, and that may have been Dali s goal when he started to paint The Persistence of Memory. However, there remains no doubt that Dali s subconscious was at work here because no one else could ever imagine the exact image depicting melting time as seen here. The conscious part of the brain is the area that is alive and comprehends what is happening to one and the world around one. The landscape, Catalonia, Spain (Dali s hometown), was the result of Dali s conscious mind because he was living it and taking it in with his own two eyes. Everything stemmed from thoughts of daydreams, bad memories, and other possible goods or evils that dwell in the subconscious mind. Wikipedia explains that Sigmund Freud believed that the unconscious mind was a depository of wishes, desires, socially unacceptable ideas, traumatic memories, and/or painful emotions. Dali s painting appears to be representative of mainly the subconscious mind because many of the elements in the painting express objects or ideas that are highly characteristic of memories, dreams, or even socially unacceptable elements. More importantly, The Museum of Modern Art explains that a year before this painting was made Dali began to undergo his paranoiac critical method which stimulated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. The Contribution Of Galileo Galileo Galilei, an Italian scientist, made groundbreaking observations that contributed to modern physics and astronomy. Galileo established mathematics as the language of scientific discovery. He founded the scientific method and helped establish the modern practice of experimentation and calculated laws of nature. In July of 1609, Galileo developed his own telescope and with it, he made several astronomical discoveries. For example, Galileo discovered that the surface of the moon is rough and uneven as opposed to smooth as people had thought. Galileo also discovered with his telescope that many more stars exist than are visible to the naked eye. According to author E.B., Galileo also found sunspots upon the surface of our star and discovered the phases of Venus, which confirmed that the planet circles the sun inside Earth s own orbit (45). Galileo was also curious about how things move, and this curiosity led to important discoveries in physics. For instance, he questioned the then current belief that heavy objects fall faster than light ones. In order to refute this, Galileo did many experiments. For example, it is said that he dropped two different weights from the Tower of Pisa to show that they hit the ground at the same time, a demonstration that paved the way for Isaac Newton s Laws of Motion. Galileo also tested his theory by rolling balls down an inclined plane at various angles. These experiments lead to Galileo s the law of falling bodies. This law states that all objects will fall at an equal rate when accounting for relatively minor differences in aerodynamics and weather conditions. Another discovery Galileo made with regards to motion was about the pendulum. The author of An Inquisitive Mind Kim Zarins wrote about the experiment: Galileo made two pendulums with string of equal lengths and a lead ball at the end of each. Then he pulled one ball back twice as far as the other, and let them both go at the same time. He expected to see the ball with the longer swing take a longer time to move back and forth. In fact, both pendulums moved in perfect synchronization! They swung at the same rate, even though one pendulum was moving twice as far and one ball was heavier than the other (41). ... • 20. Abraham Lincoln And The Civil War Essay Introduction The Civil War was a war between the union, and confederate states in the United States that occurred from 1861 1865. Many people believed that the Civil War was about slavery and southern states right to defend their states rights. The confederates were fighting for their liberty and independence under the leadership of Abraham Lincoln, who they felt was a tyrant. However, the union, was fighting to preserve their territory, that was created by their founding fathers from chaos and dismemberment. President Jefferson Davis believed that the civil war was based on the confederate rights to secede from the union. Jefferson also felt that Abraham Lincoln was to blamed for the start of the civil war, since he was against slavery. Lincoln s intended goal was to preserve the union, he claimed slavery was not the reason. If I could save the union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all slaves I would do it, and if I could slave it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that (Shi Tindall, 2015, pg.465) . Lincoln told everyone that if the southern states were to return to the union that slavery would still exist. However, many people believed that Lincoln wasn t being truthful. This also means that if it is not done properly and carefully, the embryo could be terminated. It is also unknown yet if modifying the babies could affect family trees and if they may or may not have problems later on in life. Typology in Christian theology and Biblical exegesis is a doctrine or theory concerning the relationship between the Old and New Testaments . (Merriam Webster 868) Perhaps the single most important concept for understanding early Christianity is typology. Typology is a form of study of literature identifying symbols especially in the Bible. This system of groupings, usually called types, the members of which are identified by postulating specified attributes that are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive groupings set up to aid demonstration or inquiry by establishing a limited relationship among phenomena. Typology is interpreted throughout text in American literature such as William Bradford s Plymouth Plantation, Jonathan Edward s Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and Thomas Paine Common Sense. During the Enlightenment, the meaning of Protestant identity became increasingly vague; typology took on the hazy significance of image and symbol; what passed for the divine plan had lost its strict grounding sculpture; providence itself was shaken loose from its religious frame work to became part of the belief in the human progress. The eighteenth century clergy took advantage of this movement to shift the focus of figural authority, from Bible history to the American experience. In effect, they substituted a regional for a biblical past, sanctified the American present as a movement from promise to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is important to address why they are perceived to be harmful, if they actually are, and how they can be improved for the future, or if they should be eliminated. The use of pipelines date back as far as 500BC in China. In those times, the pipelines were made of bamboo, used to separate the salt from the sea water. The United States did not adopt these until much later. Edwin L. Drake drilled his first commercial oil well in the United States near the city Titusville in Pennsylvania; the oil which they nicknamed rock oil was then used as a less expensive alternative to whale oil. It was used as lubricant and as fuel for lamps. It was not long after this that it was realized they would need a more cost effective way of transporting the oil from place to place. At the time, Teamsters were using horses and wagons to get the oil to the markets; one barrel going five miles costed more than the entire rail charged to go to New York City. For that reason, the pipeline was created. The first pipelines were nothing special; they were short and sometimes made of wood. With their growing popularity into the 1860s, the quality control followed over the pipe manufacturing, switching from wrought iron to steal. (Pipeline 101, n.d.) Newspaper articles were one of the main forms of media that spread British pro war propaganda. This statement portrays the general message of all articles: the men must have courage and be ready to make sacrifices for the greater good of their country. Describing the journalists as powerful movers of men and women (467) demonstrates journalists abilities to empower the British people to enter the war. Journalists were at the forefront of creating propaganda and influencing people to take action.
