Leadership Styles
01
What is Leadership Style?
A leadership style refers to a leader's methods and
behaviors when directing, motivating, and managing
others.
At the core of leadership, we must provide purpose,
direction and motivation to our employees — but not
everyone is using the right leadership style to offer
these things.
02
Introduction of
Strict & Open Leadership
Strict Leadership
Strict leadership is a management style that involves
setting clear expectations and enforcing them with
consequences when necessary. While this approach may
be harsh, it can be highly effective in achieving results.
Open Leadership
Open leadership is a mindset and
set of behaviors that anyone can adopt.
Open Leaders think and act in service to
another person, group, team, or attempting
to accomplish something together.

Open Leadership
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Angry strict team leader scolding employees frustrated by bad work results
Strict leadership doesn’t have to be a bad thing!
Here’s why-
Strict leadership is a controversial but effective
management style that can lead to better business
outcomes.Being a strict leader doesn't imply being
harsh or unapproachable; Tough leaders can-
❏ Create a culture of respect.
❏ Drive their teams toward success .
❏ Setting clear expectations.
❏ Holding individuals accountable and
striving for excellence.
❏ Being consistent and fair and not playing
favorites. pushing the team to be their best
and not accepting mediocrity.

both strict and open leadership based
on context and organizational needs-
❖ Assess Organizational Culture.
❖ Adapt Leadership Style to Situational Needs.
❖ Establish Clear Expectations and Boundaries.
❖ Empower and Delegate.
❖ Encourage Communication and Feedback
❖ Be Flexible and Adaptive
A balance between strict and open
leadership elements may be necessary to
achieve optimal results, combining structure
and accountability with flexibility and
empowerment.

Strict leadership and open leadership
are two distinct styles of leadership,

and drawbacks.
