in 1751, when slaves were permitted into the colony. Slavery directly impacted the ever developing

Personally, I had not given much thought to the reason of Georgia's success as a state was because

modest colony. As the years pass, these ideals and morals are changed to desiring more than a
hardworking farmer. The people of Georgia desired to have slaves. Therefore, Georgia changed and
started a path to become identical to South Carolina. However, as the amount of plantations sky–
rocketed, so did the need for more slaves. It is a marvel to imagine that I live in the city of Savannah

There are many aspects to being a self–directed, intrinsically motivated, and active learner. From
our reading assignments it has become plain that the most important aspect is taking initiative. This
means being someone who doesn 't have to be told to learn this or that, but will take the first steps
down the road of learning. Taking the initiative to learn is core to every other aspect, whether we
talk about the 15 Ways of the Successful Self–Directed Learner by Jeff Cobb, or come up with our
own definitions and reflections on being an active learner.
Instead of going through the list from our reading assignments, I 'm going to wing this a bit, and
touch upon the more important aspects which I consider essential to being an active learner. Apart
from being someone who takes initiative with learning, the next most important aspect would be
someone who is independent, as a truly successful active learner is someone who can ask the
questions and find the answers on their own. I think being curious is equally important, since from
this curiosity will spring the desire to learn, as the curious person asks questions and finds answers

Many people seem to living the American dream in East Cobb, which is an affluent part of Cobb
County. The majority have their own houses; many paid off. Life is set without many unexpected

I believe Cobb is in reality at the ending scene of the movie. There are a few examples and details
that lead me to believe Cobb is in reality. In parts of the movie Cobb is shown wearing a wedding
ring on his ring finger but that is only when he is in the dream world. Another example is the totem.
When Cobb walked into his home where his children were he spun the totem to test if this was
really reality or if he was just dreaming again. Towards the end the totem is wobbling just like at
sometime in the beginning where after spinning for sometime it eventually fell over leading him to

Cobb was a fierce competitor who was unpopular with his opponents. His Georgia upbringing was

Lori Hayes began her career with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR) as a Penn State summer
student intern, June of 1981. Due to family circumstances, Lori had to get a job immediately. As a
result of her internship experience, Lori decided to take the Grounds Maintenance Worker 1 test and
passed. One of Lori's proudest moments was that she began working with PPR when she was 21
years–old. After permanent appointment, she was able to advance within PPR as a Grounds
Maintenance Worker 2, and Grounds Maintenance Worker 3 (Crew Chief).

History Of Kennesaw State University
The UA is the oldest public college in the state of Alabama. It opened in April of 1831 and students
began to enroll May of 1831. They first offered engineering, then later opened medical school. In
1860 the University of Alabama was officially established as a military school. Sadly a few years
later in 1867 UA was burned to the ground by Union Troops, but that did not stop the university
because it reopened again in 1872 and became a Law School. The one thing that makes me want to

University of Alabama has always been a dream school for me, but when breaking it down money
wise Kennesaw State is clearly the better option.
Figuring out how you are going to pay for college is the second most important thing and it makes a
decision easier. I am still in high school working a full–time job at Belk. I give myself a budget for
every two weeks and put the rest of my money in savings. I look up scholarships daily and am
applying for as many as I can. $50–$10,000 scholarship is better than nothing and it keeps me out of
debt at the end and that is what matters. Unfortunately, I do not have a rich family and no one will
be handing me a lot of money for college, but that just means I need to work a little harder and there
is nothing wrong with that. I will also be taking out student loans to help and my parents will be
doing as much as they can. I ask myself questions like "Do I need to go to school because their

Ty went on to become the youngest man to win a big league batting title, as well as winning 12 in
total within thirteen years. I would say he was definitely dedicated to baseball or maybe just his
success. As for his stance towards black, I imagine he was largely influenced by society's views in
the south. The south, for the most part during this time, was still against blacks and his actions from
the reading showed he was too. For instance, he stabbed a black hotel watchman for no reason other
than the man trying to do his job. To be fair, I would imagine that the Tigers covering up the

of providing quality affordable healthcare to people in need (Good Samaritan Health Center of
Cobb, 2016). Its founders, Reverend Grant Cole, the former pastor of Connection Point Church, and
Dr. Jack Kennedy, Director of Cobb & Douglas Public County Health, started Good Samaritan

that baseball became a recognized profession. Baseball fans credit traditional media for permanently
establishing the sport itself through an objective style of writing that became hero crafting. Heroics
in baseball are defined by players that not only headline the news with their athletic prowess, but
also represent the game of baseball well and carry high character. A hero's actions change the way
the game is played and viewed. Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth, and Mookie Betts all
boast different traits of heroism. While Cobb, Ruth, and Betts all bring unmatched ability to the
plate, Christy Mathewson best represents a baseball hero due to his on field dynamic performances
and exemplary character.
Mathewson's heroics begin on the field through his all star performances. He owns the mound where
his fastball and famous fadeaway pitch leave batters feeling baffled as they shuffle back to the
dugout. Soon after his arrival to the big league, Mathewson became an easily written, feel–good

The Cobb Institute Museum at Mississippi State University displays items from the Old World and
the New World. When I visited the museum I noticed a wide variety of artifacts. The Old world side
contained pieces from many Old World countries, while the New World side featured a lot of pieces
that are from local areas. Since there was such a vast number of artifacts at the Cobb Museum, I
have decided to focus on the clay vessels and etchings in the Old and New World.
In the section of ceramics form Israel's Iron Age II, there were a lot of pots and vessels. A four–room

I was glad to see that some of the pots were setting upside down. I liked how I was able to see what
the bottoms looked like. The Cobb Museum had a collection of Old World oil lamps. One lamp was
cream colored and teardrop shaped. The top was adorned with a thin u–shaped decoration. Small
etched circles added a decorated touch. The top of the lamp had a small looped handle. At the back
of the case there was an interesting oil lamp. It was tan colored with hints of red. The handle looked
like the back fin of a whale. Next to the spout was a floral design. Two gazelles with long, thin horns
graced the sides of the lamp (http://www.cobb.msstate.edu/museum/). The lamp that stood out the
most was a black lamp with four spouts from Rome (Cobb). It was the only displayed lamp with
multiple spouts. Two of the spouts were missing, but it was obvious where the missing ones would
have been. The two remaining spouts had wide openings. The lamp had protruding triangles
between each spout to give the lamp a diamond shape. All of the oil lamps in Cobb were varied and
unique. The replica of the Rosetta Stone was obviously one of the most interesting pieces in the
museum. I am ashamed to admit that prior to taking Anthropology, I did not know what the Rosetta
Stone was. This very important artifact was made in 196 B.C. It is a shiny black stone with three
different sections of writings: ancient Greek, a Demotic script, and Egyptian hieroglyphs
