How My Vocabulary Influenced My Writing
I have always been more interested in the reading and writing sides of academia. Being able to
understand and craft intricate pieces of work using only language has and will always be an appealing
idea to me. For most of my childhood I was very much of the mindset that the more large and obscure
vocabulary one used in their writing and speaking, the more intelligent that person was. This led to my
younger self embarking on a quest to learn and incorporate as many of these large complex words into
everyday speech and prose as possible. I was always an incredibly articulate, if not pretentious child
that spoke often and loudly in order to display my wide vocabulary to others in the hopes of
impressing them. I have since been introduced to the idea that there is a certain simplicity in using few
words that can also convey a very intelligent aura. This is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I myself had most of my early writing experiences come from a place of sheer egoism. I wanted to
have the story that the teacher read out loud, or the poem that was hung on the wall for everyone to
see. Aesthetic enthusiasm is also a motive that I completely understand. I find that this shows most in
my writing not in the visual of the words on a page, but how it sounds when read. I am very specific
about the rhythm of my writing, overwhelmingly so with my poetry and also in my prose. I have
already mentioned my great historical impulse for writing. Research to find the facts and then record
them appeals to me and always has. I agree that a great many authors write out of a place of political
purpose in order to attempt to sway readers thought and actions. However, I am still not completely
aware of my political standing and believe that it would be both unfair and ignorant to say that I have
ever written because of this motive. I have not experienced or learned about enough political turmoil
to be fully aware of my place in the political

Sound devices in A High Toned christian Woman
The poem A High Toned christian Woman by Stevens Wallace is a famous poem written in the defense
of poetry, with a very whimsical tone. The poem is speaking to an old christian woman, who does not
believe that poetry has any worth or significance. The poet argues that poetry is art at its finest, and
can be used to express the morals of anything, even religion.
Two significant sound devices in the poem are onomatopoeia and alliteration. The poet uses both of
these devices throughout the poem, yet there is one line in which both the devices are used together;
Such tink and tank and tunk a tunk tunk, . This is the 18th line in the poem and it contributes to the
playful tone of the poem. The tunk a tunk tunk is meant to be the sound of metal hitting different
items. Here the poet mocks the old Christian woman confronting her about the naive, dysfunctional,
and boozy people present in the Christian faith. By adding an onomatopoeia device the poet achieves
the playful tone intended. As the author is mocking the religion, this devices helps create a fun and
sarcastic tone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the line May, merely may, madame, whip from themselves is between lines that can be read fast
very easily, this device slows down the flow of the poem. By using alliteration, the poet is able to take

Christian woman about her

Impact Of Technological Advancements On The Battle Of The...
A) Plan of Investigation:
To what extent did technological advancements contribute to the victory of the Allied powers in the
Battle of the Atlantic through 1939 1946?
The Battle of the Atlantic lasted from September 1939 until the defeat of Germany in 1945; it was
recalled to be the longest continuous military campaign. In the duration of six years; a glorified battle
consisting of naval warfare, German U boats, warships and Italian submarines were pitted against
Allied convoys which aimed to transport military equipment and supplies across the Atlantic to Great
Britain and the Soviet Union. This battle was executed to essentially gain control of Atlantic shipping
routes, involved thousands of ships stretched and situated across the ... Show more content on

 Aircrafts were very effective in protecting merchant ships; however, the problem was that Allied
planes use earlier in the war did not have enough range to offer air cover or the convoys all the way
across the Atlantic. The Mid Atlantic Gap is recognized as a geographical term associated with an
undefended area beyond the reach of land based Costal Command antisubmarine aircrafts during the
Battle of the Atlantic. Indeed this central area was known as the Black Pit as that was where many of
the heaviest and largest convoy losses occurred.
 The introduction of the new long range planes helped reduce the hazards of this dangerous portion
of battle. Avro Lancaster was a British four engined bomber which was implemented in warfare during
the Battle of the Atlantic of the Second World War used by the Royal Air Force. It was first active as a
strategic bombing offensive, and then became the main heavy bomber used by the RAF and RCAF.
The Lancaster took upon the role of a long range anti submarine patrol aircraft and air sea rescue. It
was also used as an aerial mapping resource to figure out where German U boats most commonly
attacked, hence figuring out where they usually place, with this information the Allies were able to
strategically place counterattacks. The Avro Lancaster also carried passengers and delivered weapons
to Britain and the Soviet Union.

Porter Five Forces Of Intel
Five forces (semi conductor industry
Porters five forces model is a tool that helps a company understand competition in that market. There
are five different segments in this model, you have competitive rivalry, bargaining power of
customers, bargaining power of supplies, threat of substitutes, and threat of new entrains. In the micro
processing industry, there are many competitors. The one company that is a true competitor for Intel is
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). AMD is the second largest microprocessor supplies and the
significant rival to Intel for x86 based microprocessors.
Competitive Rivalry
Intel uses a differentiation strategy that builds competitive advantage through product quality,
customer service, and brand image management. Intel invests heavily in the innovation of their
products including their cutting edge microprocessors and other technological products, so they can
ensure leadership within the market. One way to succeed in product differentiation is to continuously
innovate and develop new or enhanced products that cannot be easily matched by competitors.
Bargaining Power of customers
With Intel have very few substitutes in the microprocessor industry, it is it is most certain that current
customers will not want to switch and use another company s products. High switching cost presents
low bargaining power to the customers mainly because it would be very expensive to switch to a
competitor, and since Intel is the leader in the market, switching

Compare And Contrast The Human Body In Ancient Egypt Art
Human Body Depiction in Ancient Egypt Ancient Greece
Throughout the years humans have had the tendency to record their daily lives and events. In other
words, the art of each era reflects the society and mentality of the civilians. This is why each era has a
different way of depicting the human body and how the story they tell is narrated. This research paper
will compare between the depiction of the human body in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. Ancient
Egypt art was at the start of art history, which was between 3000 BC and 400 AD. The Egyptians
wanted to focus more on realism and narrating the story rather than showing the exact details, they
wanted everything to be clear and show what was happening in their daily lives rather than show the
positions, they didn t have deficiencies, they were more keen on portraying the whole image.
Meanwhile The Ancient Greek art had something equivalent to the Ancient Egyptian art in the cultural
part, where they both were obsessed with precision and order. They believed their Gods took human
form, that s why they always had this mentality of portraying the human figure perfectly. They related
perfection to the athletic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

designed to convey divine or deceased heir. To pass on the idea of the recipient receiving the benefit

the people. In stone statuary, limited positions, a strong back pillar for support, and spaces left

Zoe s Kitchen
Zoës Kitchen began in 1995 as a family run restaurant in Homewood, Alabama. The company s
owner, president CEO, John Cassismus had turned his attention from his own business ventures to the
family business, with desires to build a world class company. Mostly frequented by mothers with
small children and white collar employees in the area, the restaurant catered to those consumers with a
desire for healthy foods at comparatively lower prices. As of December 2005 there were 16 locations
in five different states. The brand was strong and synonymous with freshness, home style goodness
and family recipes. The menu boasted healthy selections, mostly with a Greek influence, (i.e. chicken
pitas roll ups, salads dinner plates) which consumers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The focused differentiation strategy largely depends on a buyer segment that seeks special product
attributes (i.e. healthier food, lower comparative cost, quick service) and on the company s ability to
stand apart from its rivals (Thompson et. al, 153). In its uniqueness, Zoës Kitchen has the ability to be
different and had no national rivals emulating its format or menu. SWOT AnalysisStrengthsIt is clear
that the major strength for Zoës Kitchen is its people. First, John Cassismus himself is an asset worth
discussing. John built the company from a single, family run restaurant into the existing 16 location
operation. Dear to his heart, John fostered the business which was inspired from the kitchen of his
very own mother, Zoë. He was described as being optimistic, sales oriented, an entrepreneur, a
visionary and hard working. Two previous successful ventures gave John the knowledge and
experience he would require. Zoës Kitchen s growth may even be linked to the effect of a
learning/experience curve (Thompson et. al, 53). While John s experiences didn t necessarily provide
large economies of scale (for cost cutting purposes), his knowledge did allow him to recognize the
importance of excellent human resource management, a clearly defined strategy, building brand
loyalty and strong business systems. Second, John built a healthy workforce with well trained
employees. Stores had very little turnover; many of the employees had been with

Facts About Viking Warfare
The Vikings were a group of people from Denmark, Sweden and Norway and lived from 700AD
1100AD. Most people think of Vikings as blood thirsty raiders who pillaged and killed innocent
people from one country to another , which this is true because they were ruthless in their battles and
had no mercy. So Tthis essay will talk about Viking warfare and how thistheir practices prove proves
that they were blood thirsty raiders. The Vikings battle tactics and warriors were ruthless, like their
berserk warriors. Berserk warriors were just that are where the term going berserk comes from, and
berserk means violently or destructively frenzied in their approach to fighting and warfare. In their
preparation for battle, So for the bBerserk warriors to go berserk they would drink a concoction made

They did this by aligning their fleet into two lines and tying them together to create a floating platoon.

prows that took most of the heat of the battle, because of this they were reinforced with armour plates
and sometimes spikes to put holes in the enemies ships. They would then face the enemy fleet head on
and try to board them in a chaotic action. Javelins and sometimes even stones were thrown at the
enemy before they boarded the enemy ship. Given the fact that land battles were based on offense and
that the Vikings tried to make naval battles as close to land battles as possible, both land and naval

Human And Non Human Primates
Language is used to distinguish humans from others (Zuberbühler, 2014). Human communication has
formally derived from past primate communication systems (Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014). Humans
express themselves in verbal, gestural, and written forms (Zuberbühler, 2014). Human and non human
primates have totally diverse forms of communication systems (Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014). Speech has
evolved from non human primates to its current compound state that humans utilize present day
(Zuberbühler, 2014)
Non human primates have abilities to communicate with others when in danger for recipients to
differentiate their calls (Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014). It is necessary for a primate to be able to learn and
distinguish any communication signals for natural selection (Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014). Distinct alarm
calls vary in some species due to different situations (Coye, Ouattara, Zuberbühler Lemasson, 2015).
Non human primate callings are limited because of the lack of acoustic variation available (Coye,
2015). However, recent studies have shown that there is a combination of basic acoustic parts that
have been made into more complex vocal arrangements (Coye, 2015). Some individuals are willing to
help unrelated individuals if those individuals have had positive experiences with them in the past
(Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014). Sometimes, individuals would ignore another individual s signal who
sounded unrelated (Ghazanfar Eliades, 2014).
Primates responses are vocal and visual

Quagga And Zebra Mussels
If a boat is not properly cleaned within those three to five days, the quagga and zebra mussels will be
spread if the boat is used in a different water (CISR). Why are they a nuisance? Quagga mussels eat a
diet that is similar to zebra mussels . This creates two nonnative species competing for food that, once
is bigger, is used by native mollusks and small fish. Quagga mussels are the tougher nonnative
mollusk species in the United States. Quagga mussels can survive and deeper and colder waters than
zebra mussels. Quagga mussels can also attach themselves to soft surfaces like mud. Zebra mussels
can only attach themselves to hard surfaces. Quagga mussels colonize in more condensed groups and
will beat out zebra mussels for a food source. These mussels also attach themselves to drainage and
plumbing pipes, clogging them.

ways of controlling ANS. Before entering a body of water that is regulated by the state, a boater must
get a thorough boat inspection. For example, an angler takes a boat to John Martin Reservoir. In order
for the boat to be allowed into the water, the angler must stop by the boat inspection office. One of the

The Theory Of The Capital Structure
The theory of the capital structure is an important reference theory in enterprise s financing policy.
Whether or not an optimal capital structure exists is one of the most important and complex issues in

of firms and providers of funds. This is because a wrong mix of finance is employed the performance

Negative Effects Of Cocaine
All drugs affect the body differently, however, some drugs come with a high number of negative
effects. Alcohol is one of the most popular drugs in America, alcohol impacts the brain and body
greatly. Furthermore, cocaine is usually used in clubs because an individual feels good after using
cocaine, but cocaine is highly addictive and a very dangerous drug. Cocaine is an addictive drug and it
affects how the brain generally functions. Cocaine gets involved with the reward system in the brain.
Cocaine has an effect on three neurotransmitters which are dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.
What dopamine is involved in is the feeling of dependency, serotonin causes feelings of confidence,
and norepinephrine increases or lowers an individuals energy level. What cocaine does in the brain is,
it won t allow the reabsorption of these three chemicals, it does this by binding to the transporters,
these transporters are in charge of removing high amounts of these three neurotransmitters from the
synaptic gap. Since cocaine binds to the transporters the neurotransmitters can no longer by
reabsorbed and this leads to a high level of these neurotransmitters in the synapses ( Cocaine
Addiction and... ). Having a high concentration of dopamine leads to higher feelings of pleasure and
reward, this leads the brain to think that cocaine isn t dangerous. People that continue to use cocaine
get used to high levels of these neurotransmitters and always want to have elevated levels because it
causes them pleasure, that s how addiction happens. Furthermore, the frontal cortex is what makes us
reject pleasure if we know the outcome won t be positive. Cocaine addicts can no longer rely on the
frontal cortex because this area becomes damaged when someone is addicted to cocaine ( Cocaine
Addiction and... ). Lastly, cocaine also affects the amygdala and hippocampus, these both help an
individual remember what led to the satisfaction they felt. When someone uses cocaine, the amygdala
and hippocampus create memories of people and places that are connected to the drug and also
memories of the pleasure. If the individual is with the people or at the same place where they felt
pleasure it will bring back memories and an urge to

The previous crisis of Mattel included that the products were tainted with lead paint and that some of
the products had loose little magnets. Both of these faulted products could have caused harm to the
children. This is why it was decided to recall all these products and take measures to prevent this from
happening in the future. Various stakeholders were affected by this crisis, for example parents,
children, manufacturers and investors. Which is why Mattel had to come with a strong crisis
communication strategy.
Within a few days the factory that produced the tainted toys was identified and the production was

A strength of the implemented strategy was the use of several media channels (TV, newspaper and the

addressing the target audiences about what happened is of utmost importance. Mattel communicated
the new safety regulations, the reassurance that measures had been taken to prevent this from

strength of the crisis communication strategy. Because with a video you can reach a very large

However, According to Freud, the super ego exists as a way to level out the ego, and, in a way, keep it
in check. Therefore, the super ego is responsible for an individual s conscience, or, their ability to feel
guilt. Freud continues his explanation of these concepts by asserting the idea that the super ego calls
our attention to our own failures and misconducts, and attempts to assist us in learning from them in
order to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Furthermore, the conscience is the form in which
the super ego controls our actions and thoughts, and creates guilt within us. Therefore, the ego is the
decision making, acting part of an individual, while the super ego acts as the ego s voice of authority
and control (Freud).
Moreover, the relationship between the characters of Dante and Virgil in Dante s Inferno stands as an
excellent example of the relationship between the ego and the super ego. In the opening of the poem,
the character of Dante finds himself lost in a place he does not know, surrounded by terrifying beasts.
In this dark moment, Virgil, a ghost from an earlier time, comes forwards and reveals to Dante that,
because sin has obstructed his path to God, he must journey through hell and purgatory in order to
return to life, as he once knew it. This journey, according to Virgil, would allow Dante to overcome
his sin and, at last, find God s love. However, Dante does not believe he can complete the journey
alone, at which point Virgil

How Underfunded Public Pensions Be Around The Country Essay
There s a lot of discussion in the news about how underfunded many public pensions are around the
country. States like Alabama, Michigan, Illinois, and Arizona are in the news for high, pension plan
debt that are eating away city and state budgets. But, the public sector isn t alone in underfunding
pensions. Not all private pensions are the money in the bank that employees think they are, in fact
they are doing about the same as public pensions. Neither is 100 percent funded. The result? A
combined deficit in retirement plan savings of over $4 trillion for payees between the ages of 25 and
64. A Quick History of Retirement: Then and Now In 1875, the first private pension plan was created
by the American Express Company. Because most employers were not publically traded companies,
they were rare. A series of revenue laws passed by congress from 1921 1929 helped private pensions
grow by safeguarding funds from federal taxation and providing tax credits to employers who
contribute to an employee pension plan. Amazingly, private pension plans survived the stock market
crash in October of 1929 with only a three percent of workers losing their plans. In fact, a few of the
private pension plans started before 1929 are still active today U.S. Steel Company (1911) General

The Sources Of Fossil Fuels
IV. Fossil Fuels
Fossil Fuels are the natural fuels such as coal or gas found in the Earth s crust. It is formed in the
geological past from the remains of living organisms. A hydrocarbon deposit, such as oil, coal, or
natural gas, derived from the accumulated remains of ancient plants and animals. Carbon dioxide and
other gases were produced by burning fossil fuels are considered to be one of the principal causes of
global warming.
A. The origin of coal is a plentiful fossil fuel and has been used historically by the Greeks, Romans,
and Chinese.
1) Types of coal how formed, composition.
a) Peat as an energy source is limited and was not considerably ranked. It is the first step in the coal
formation and is made of over sixty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lignite is also the lowest ranked because of its low heat content. Usually it was burned as a fuel at
some steam electric generating plants that are mined in China, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Canada and
the United States. However, while Germany s electricity comes from lignite power plants, Greece,
lignite is approximately 50% of power. Lignite s carbon content is only 25% 35%.
c) Bituminous coal is formed as more pressure is enforced on to the lignite coal. The more the
pressure is enforced, the more water is discharged which increases the amount of pure carbon and
increases the heat content of the coal. Bituminous coal is mostly formed when a sub bituminous coal
is of higher levels of metamorphism. It is used in the United States at about 50%, and across Europe.
Bituminous has a carbon content between 77% and 87% on a dry ash free basis and a heating value
that is much higher that lignite or sub bituminous coal (2). Sub bituminous is the second lowest energy
content.
d) Anthracite coal is of a metamorphic rock and is considered the highest grade. It is hard and its color
is dark black and shiny. It has a very light weight when compared to other forms of coal and there is a
very little water present. As a result, anthracite has the highest heat content and less smoke. Its pure
carbon content is over 85%. Anthracite is formed when the bituminous coal is opened to extreme
pressure. Historically, anthracite was mined in a 480 square

Essay on Wild by Cheryl Strayed
Straying away from life as a whole only to be alone, some may say is the strong way to heal
themselves when dealing with extreme grief or a major crisis . In the book Wild, twenty two year old
Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost it all. Dealing with the loss of her mother, her family torn to
pieces, and her very own marriage was being destroyed right before her very eyes. Living life with
nothing more to lose, lifeless, she made the most life changing decision of her life. Strayed never
seems remorseful on her decisions to up and leave everything behind while deciding to flee from it all.

this natural attribute that we know as strength.
Many women have been through incidents where one has had to exhibited personal strength to get

take along with her on the Pacific Crest Trail. Not knowing what all she needed, she packed
unnecessary items such as books, shoes, stoves, and even a twelve pack of condoms, but why? Going
into something for the first time not knowing what to expect can be very dangerous. Every night the
unexpected happened Each night the black sky and the bright stars were my stunning companions;

Speech-Language Pathology Article Analysis
I choose the article New Guidelines Assist Clinical Doctorate Programs in Speech Language
Pathology . This articles states how ASHA is starting to have new guidelines for schools that offer
clinical doctorate programs or is planning to offer them in the future. The guidelines are also intended
for SLP graduates who want to enter management positions in the clinical setting. I found this article
to be very important, because I feel as if speech pathology is sometimes not taken as seriously as it
should be by other clinicians. However, on the other hand I feel like our fellow coworkers such as

Should Therapeutic Cloning Be Banned
There are two sides to the topic of cloning. One side believes it is unethical and should be banned. The
other side believes the benefits and possibilities outweigh the problems. The two most controversial
types of artificial cloning are reproductive cloning, and therapeutic cloning. Reproductive cloning is
the use of cells from a host to create a whole new genetic copy. Therapeutic cloning is the use of
embryonic stem cells to create tissue to replace damaged tissue and whole organs. The ethical
concerns with cloning didn t become a problem until Dolly, the sheep, was created. Many years before
Dolly very similar experiments were being performed; however, those experiments did not spark

Aldi And Trader Joe s
In the St. Louis metropolitan region there is a wide variety of grocery retailers, from which consumers
purchase their groceries. With many grocery stores spread throughout the regional area offering good
merchandise and competitive prices there are two chains that are frequented, Aldi s and Trader Joe s.
Both of these companies share the same parent company, Albrecht Brothers, and have stores
nationwide. Both Aldi and Trader Joe s are owned by one company; however, they share
commonalities and differences.
I first started shopping at Aldi with my mom when I was a little girl. I didn t know it at the time, but it
was definitely a good time to start learning how far a dollar would actually stretch. Of all the shoppers
in the store there were other children with their parents, teenie boppers, Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, on
up to the Elderly Generation. Aldi knows no color, creed, or class distinction associated with
ethnicities, income levels, religions, or race, therefore all are welcome to shop.
Aldi is known as the stock up store. As I walked into my local all the store I noticed that all of the
grocery carts were kept outside and required a quarter deposit, which is returned to the patron after
they return the cart. At the entrance of the store I noticed a stand that housed the weekly sale ad and

Leaders, Leadership, And Leadership
To Be a Leader Leadership is something that can come naturally to some, but challenging to others.
Some struggle to find their voice, while others are heard too much. In a busy world like today, it is
easy to spot leaders and their followers . But this is especially challenging for our younger generation
due to many things. But all young leaders and leaders in general, possess similar traits that make them
the leaders that they are. In my short essay, I will go over the commitments and traits of a leader,
challenges of being a young leader, and why do I consider myself to be a leader. Being a leader is
something that everyone puts their own spin on . Everyone has a different approach to being a leader
(some more effective than others). But all leaders have the same traits, whether you see them or not.
One of the traits that a leader can possess is the ability to communicate with others. This is a key trait,
because how will a leader plan or teach something to others if you can t communicate with another.
But a leader must consult with others before making a decision and a leader must be some what
persuasive. Another trait that a leader must possess, is the ability to put personal problems aside. By
doing this, a leader can make a better choice and be a role model to others. A leader must also have
commitment. No leader should ever leave his/her followers if something goes wrong. A leader must be
focused and determined to complete the project or problem at hand. A

that you want to sit in your room and cry yourself to sleep every night. But that is what makes sports

It all starts at the top. General manager Rick Spielman has used the NFL draft to his advantage,
landing solid foundational pieces across the board. It goes on to say how the pieces and the pick up of
the right head coach had made this team a good team that can have even better things to come in the
future if this keeps up for them. A take away from this article that you can see is how important it is to
find the right coach to get your players to the next level but also a good GM to help draft players you
need to get better and that is something the LIons are shaky at best at if anything which is sad for us
fans. Now Bleacher report did teams that can t rebuild and the Detroit pistons where on that list and it
had this to say about them The Pistons have been up and down over the past 25 years, winning a title
in 2004 before sliding steadily to a point where 2014 15 represented the fifth consecutive season with
32 or fewer wins. Now the PIstons have been so close to being back to the playoffs so many times but
then they always fall apart at the end of the season like we have seen so many times and it could just
be because we don t have the players we need to make a push into the playoffs because we are not so
bad a top pick in the draft but not that good to where we can get big name free agents in the offseason

Power Of The Druids
The Power of the Druids In the Irish religion called druidism, the druids were extremely powerful, so
powerful it seems that they even had to name the religion based upon these men and women of such
high rank. Often called wizards, their powers were virtually limitless. Ranging from divination to
creating potions to chanting spells, the druids were respected and, most likely, feared. Other than the
magical abilities the druids possessed, they were also the exclusive possessors of whatever learning
was then known (Joyce 44), meaning that they possessed all knowledge. Thus, they had even more
power over the people because they were relied upon for information. Concerning their magic, the
druids used it under many different circumstances and their interference greatly affected the outcome
of a story. It is helpful to use and analyze specific examples of druids in stories to understand the
mystical ways they wield their magic. In the story entitled Lord and Lady of the Wheel: the Careers of
Mog Roith and Tlachtga , the vastness of a druid s power is well represented. Though known as a
druid of wisdom and knowledge (Matthews 189), these are not the druidic traits of Mog Roith
developed in the myth. In the first place, Mog Roith does not simply appear out of thin air or without
any purpose, but he is called upon by King Fiacha of Munster to aid in the battle against Cormac mac
Art. The King is currently on the verge of losing the war and he needs the help of a druid, which

The Effects Of Groundwater Pollution On The World
Groundwater pollution is a prominent problem in most areas of the world. High nitrate concentrations
have been identified as one of the main culprits of groundwater pollution. Agriculture is a primary
anthropogenic source involved in the spreading and distribution of nitrates in rural areas. China is
considered one of the largest in terms of agricultural production. As the population of China increased
over time, the recycling of plant nutrients could no longer renew the loss of nutrients from harvesting.
The famine between 1960 and 1970 caused radical changes when it came to policies about population
control and large efforts were made to increase agricultural yields. This was encouraged by increasing
the application rate of chemical fertilizers, especially ones that were nitrogen based (Emteryd, Lu and
Nykyist, 1998). However, higher irrigation and nitrogen fertilizer inputs results in decreased water and
nitrogen use efficiency (Hu, Li, and Chen, 2010). Currently China is the leading producer of rice,
wheat onion cabbage and the second largest producer of corn (See Appendix). Presently the average
annual nitrogen fertilizer application is 200 kg N/ha in China (Zhang, Xu, XIaomin, Dong and
Ballantine, 2013). As a result of this, China unsurprisingly suffers from large amounts of nitrate
pollution in its groundwater, especially in northern China. The main focus of this paper will therefore
be on the North China Plain and the provinces surrounding the Yangtze River as

The Works Of Haydn And Mozart
Haydn and Mozart are often recognised as the two composers who were responsible for bringing
Viennese Classicism to its greatest height. In the public eye, these two great composers could not be
more different, whether it is in terms of their characters or values. This essay sets out to explore the
similarities and differences in the early lives of these two gifted individuals, Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart and (Franz) Joseph Haydn, through their backgrounds and music education.
Mozart, who was born in 1756 in Salzburg, was Haydn s junior by twenty four years. By the time he
was born, his father, Leopold Mozart, was already a widely known composer and violinist. All in all,
Mozart grew up in a family of fairly good standing and this enabled him to blend in with the
aristocrats and the nobility comfortably and effortlessly.
On the other hand, Haydn was born in a small town call Rohrau. His father, Mathias Haydn, is a
wheelwright, while his mother, Maria Koller, was a cook for the Lords of the village before marriage.
Although the young Haydn s standard of living may not be comparable to that of Mozart s, Haydn did
not live in extreme poverty. Haydn s father and grandfather were both the magistrate in the village and
the preserved bills showed that Mathias were given plenty of work and was not paid badly. However,
with eleven other siblings in the family, despite the fact that only six of them, including Haydn,
survived infancy, Haydn, by no means, had the attention or resources

Artificial Intelligence ( Ai )
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is portrayed in many science fiction films such as I, robot, The Terminator,
Ex Machina, etc., or novels as the future that holds evil in our society. Engineers all over the world are
currently developing and making AI a reality. I know that my major is involved with the project
intending to bring AI into reality which is interesting, but it still has me wondering if this is a good
idea. I imagine AI as the future such that we will have them at school, in our house and even our
workplace. It is a possibility that AI will be used to help students and professors by solving critical
equations faster than ever or helping them out in the subjects they are struggling with. They can help
clean around the house and neighborhood, implement future ideas to companies, and even join the
police force to stop crime. They do not necessarily need arms, legs, or eyes to commit such actions. As
a Computer Engineer, I believe that AI will have the capability to protect and serve us, but if they are
given the freedom to think and act, then they can also harm us. I assume the engineers working with
AI, will program them to restrict actions that can harm this society and inspect them weekly to
accomplish this restriction. We should keep an open mind towards any consequences and benefits AI
may bring to this world. I can see drones roaming around freely while having the task to protect us,

Mass Density Of An Unknown Metal Essay
The goal of this experiment was to determine the mass density of an unknown metal. Five different
vernier capillaries and double pan balances were used to measure the metal. The plan of action was to
find the average density to reduce random error, in addition to, calculating the standard error to
observe the reliability of proposed average. Ideally, the metal would identify more comparably with
gold or aluminum. The concepts of mass density, standard error, average, one dimensional statistics,
precision / accuracy, and test of accuracy were explored. A hollow cylinder of metal was given to each
lab group. Initially, the mass of the metal was determined with a double pan balance. The metal was
placed on the balance and the instrument s notch and slider was used to interpret the mass. The next
step was determining the inner radius, outer radius and height of the cylinder to find the volume. A
vernier caliper was used to measure those components. The vernier caliper included an inner and outer
jaw that measures length. The results of the double pan balance and vernier caliper was recorded in a
data sheet, and the procedure was repeated five times with different instruments. The data was placed
in an excel file where the mass density, average, standard error, test of accuracy, and general
comparison with the two proposed metals (gold and aluminum) could be analyzed. Table 1 Five

because it helps prevent pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections in this case, we used ultra

Lifestyle would have the most durability. We gathered our materials which included gloves, sealed
condoms, ball bearings, and a plastic bin. We took the mass of one ball bearing before starting to
know how to calculate how much intake each condom can endure and started putting them into each
condom until it broke. Our findings were that the durability of each brand was extremely inconsistent

Ball bearings were added to the condom until the condom broke. The number of ball bearings that it
took to break the condom was recorded on a separate sheet of paper. These steps were repeated two

Assignment On Cultural Awareness
Cultural Awareness Assignment
Thinking about which country and culture to choose for this assignment was a difficult process
because there is a plethora to choose from! I decided to choose Spain as I lived there for a short period
of time. Spain, is a country located in western Europe and is bordered by Portugal, France, and
Gibraltar. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to its east and the North Atlantic Ocean to its west.
When trying to understand a culture from a foreign perspective, it is important to analyze the
geography that makes up that country.
Spain s geography is unique because it is located on the Iberian Peninsula with mountainous terrain
throughout the landmass. The central portion of Spain mostly consists of high plateaus of land
surround by rocky hills. Integrated into these plateaus are rural farm and cattle lands that create much
of Spain s agricultural industry. This industry comes through the harvesting of barley and wheat,
however, the crops that produce the most value consist of citrus fruits such as oranges. The climate of
Spain varies from region to region, but in a majority of the country during the summer months, it is
arid and hot. Temperatures often climb into the triple digits, however there is relatively no humidity.
During the winter, temperatures tend to hover around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. It is difficult to
pinpoint regions of agriculture on a map of Spain, because the country is dotted with various mountain
ranges. Examples of such

  • 3. How My Vocabulary Influenced My Writing I have always been more interested in the reading and writing sides of academia. Being able to understand and craft intricate pieces of work using only language has and will always be an appealing idea to me. For most of my childhood I was very much of the mindset that the more large and obscure vocabulary one used in their writing and speaking, the more intelligent that person was. This led to my younger self embarking on a quest to learn and incorporate as many of these large complex words into everyday speech and prose as possible. I was always an incredibly articulate, if not pretentious child that spoke often and loudly in order to display my wide vocabulary to others in the hopes of impressing them. I have since been introduced to the idea that there is a certain simplicity in using few words that can also convey a very intelligent aura. This is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I myself had most of my early writing experiences come from a place of sheer egoism. I wanted to have the story that the teacher read out loud, or the poem that was hung on the wall for everyone to see. Aesthetic enthusiasm is also a motive that I completely understand. I find that this shows most in my writing not in the visual of the words on a page, but how it sounds when read. I am very specific about the rhythm of my writing, overwhelmingly so with my poetry and also in my prose. I have already mentioned my great historical impulse for writing. Research to find the facts and then record them appeals to me and always has. I agree that a great many authors write out of a place of political purpose in order to attempt to sway readers thought and actions. However, I am still not completely aware of my political standing and believe that it would be both unfair and ignorant to say that I have ever written because of this motive. I have not experienced or learned about enough political turmoil to be fully aware of my place in the political ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sound devices in A High Toned christian Woman The poem A High Toned christian Woman by Stevens Wallace is a famous poem written in the defense of poetry, with a very whimsical tone. The poem is speaking to an old christian woman, who does not believe that poetry has any worth or significance. The poet argues that poetry is art at its finest, and can be used to express the morals of anything, even religion. Two significant sound devices in the poem are onomatopoeia and alliteration. The poet uses both of these devices throughout the poem, yet there is one line in which both the devices are used together; Such tink and tank and tunk a tunk tunk, . This is the 18th line in the poem and it contributes to the playful tone of the poem. The tunk a tunk tunk is meant to be the sound of metal hitting different items. Here the poet mocks the old Christian woman confronting her about the naive, dysfunctional, and boozy people present in the Christian faith. By adding an onomatopoeia device the poet achieves the playful tone intended. As the author is mocking the religion, this devices helps create a fun and sarcastic tone. ... A) Plan of Investigation: To what extent did technological advancements contribute to the victory of the Allied powers in the Battle of the Atlantic through 1939 1946? The Battle of the Atlantic lasted from September 1939 until the defeat of Germany in 1945; it was recalled to be the longest continuous military campaign. In the duration of six years; a glorified battle consisting of naval warfare, German U boats, warships and Italian submarines were pitted against Allied convoys which aimed to transport military equipment and supplies across the Atlantic to Great Britain and the Soviet Union. This battle was executed to essentially gain control of Atlantic shipping routes, involved thousands of ships stretched and situated across the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...  Aircrafts were very effective in protecting merchant ships; however, the problem was that Allied planes use earlier in the war did not have enough range to offer air cover or the convoys all the way across the Atlantic. The Mid Atlantic Gap is recognized as a geographical term associated with an undefended area beyond the reach of land based Costal Command antisubmarine aircrafts during the Battle of the Atlantic. Indeed this central area was known as the Black Pit as that was where many of the heaviest and largest convoy losses occurred.  The introduction of the new long range planes helped reduce the hazards of this dangerous portion of battle. Avro Lancaster was a British four engined bomber which was implemented in warfare during the Battle of the Atlantic of the Second World War used by the Royal Air Force. It was first active as a strategic bombing offensive, and then became the main heavy bomber used by the RAF and RCAF. The Lancaster took upon the role of a long range anti submarine patrol aircraft and air sea rescue. It was also used as an aerial mapping resource to figure out where German U boats most commonly attacked, hence figuring out where they usually place, with this information the Allies were able to strategically place counterattacks. In other words, the art of each era reflects the society and mentality of the civilians. This is why each era has a different way of depicting the human body and how the story they tell is narrated. This research paper will compare between the depiction of the human body in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. Ancient Egypt art was at the start of art history, which was between 3000 BC and 400 AD. The Egyptians wanted to focus more on realism and narrating the story rather than showing the exact details, they wanted everything to be clear and show what was happening in their daily lives rather than show the positions, they didn t have deficiencies, they were more keen on portraying the whole image. Meanwhile The Ancient Greek art had something equivalent to the Ancient Egyptian art in the cultural part, where they both were obsessed with precision and order. In its uniqueness, Zoës Kitchen has the ability to be different and had no national rivals emulating its format or menu. SWOT AnalysisStrengthsIt is clear that the major strength for Zoës Kitchen is its people. First, John Cassismus himself is an asset worth discussing. John built the company from a single, family run restaurant into the existing 16 location operation. Dear to his heart, John fostered the business which was inspired from the kitchen of his very own mother, Zoë. He was described as being optimistic, sales oriented, an entrepreneur, a visionary and hard working. Two previous successful ventures gave John the knowledge and experience he would require. While John s experiences didn t necessarily provide large economies of scale (for cost cutting purposes), his knowledge did allow him to recognize the importance of excellent human resource management, a clearly defined strategy, building brand loyalty and strong business systems. Alcohol is one of the most popular drugs in America, alcohol impacts the brain and body greatly. Furthermore, cocaine is usually used in clubs because an individual feels good after using cocaine, but cocaine is highly addictive and a very dangerous drug. Cocaine is an addictive drug and it affects how the brain generally functions. Cocaine gets involved with the reward system in the brain. Cocaine has an effect on three neurotransmitters which are dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. What dopamine is involved in is the feeling of dependency, serotonin causes feelings of confidence, and norepinephrine increases or lowers an individuals energy level. What cocaine does in the brain is, it won t allow the reabsorption of these three chemicals, it does this by binding to the transporters, these transporters are in charge of removing high amounts of these three neurotransmitters from the synaptic gap. Since cocaine binds to the transporters the neurotransmitters can no longer by reabsorbed and this leads to a high level of these neurotransmitters in the synapses ( Cocaine Addiction and... ). Having a high concentration of dopamine leads to higher feelings of pleasure and reward, this leads the brain to think that cocaine isn t dangerous. People that continue to use cocaine get used to high levels of these neurotransmitters and always want to have elevated levels because it causes them pleasure, that s how addiction happens. Furthermore, the frontal cortex is what makes us reject pleasure if we know the outcome won t be positive. Cocaine addicts can no longer rely on the frontal cortex because this area becomes damaged when someone is addicted to cocaine ( Cocaine Addiction and... ). Lastly, cocaine also affects the amygdala and hippocampus, these both help an individual remember what led to the satisfaction they felt. Therefore, the super ego is responsible for an individual s conscience, or, their ability to feel guilt. Freud continues his explanation of these concepts by asserting the idea that the super ego calls our attention to our own failures and misconducts, and attempts to assist us in learning from them in order to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Furthermore, the conscience is the form in which the super ego controls our actions and thoughts, and creates guilt within us. Therefore, the ego is the decision making, acting part of an individual, while the super ego acts as the ego s voice of authority and control (Freud). As mentioned before, cloning causes many problems in the cloned animal and the host mother. People that are against cloning also bring up the costs of cloning. For example the cloning of a deceased pet may cost upwards of a hundred thousand dollars. However, most of the controversy with cloning is the ethical side of cloning. Many religious groups believe that scientists are playing God by producing unfertilized embryos(Hinrichs). They believe that certain areas, such as the creation of life, should be left up to divine control. People may find that therapeutic cloning could be found unethical and controversial, because of its possible use as alternate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Wilson, and published in Reading for Writers in 2014. I am going to analyze Mr. Wilson s use of rhetoric. He develops pathos when he compares earth with a Greek goddess to appeal to the reader s emotion; Then Mr. Wilson uses logos when he gave the reader information such as facts or statistics. Ethos is used when he states his own ideas and opinions; to create a character of this gives him a space to express his point of view throughout the article. • 30. Aldi And Trader Joe s In the St. Louis metropolitan region there is a wide variety of grocery retailers, from which consumers purchase their groceries. With many grocery stores spread throughout the regional area offering good merchandise and competitive prices there are two chains that are frequented, Aldi s and Trader Joe s. Both of these companies share the same parent company, Albrecht Brothers, and have stores nationwide. Both Aldi and Trader Joe s are owned by one company; however, they share commonalities and differences. I first started shopping at Aldi with my mom when I was a little girl. I didn t know it at the time, but it was definitely a good time to start learning how far a dollar would actually stretch. Of all the shoppers in the store there were other children with their parents, teenie boppers, Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, on up to the Elderly Generation. Aldi knows no color, creed, or class distinction associated with ethnicities, income levels, religions, or race, therefore all are welcome to shop. Aldi is known as the stock up store. As I walked into my local all the store I noticed that all of the grocery carts were kept outside and required a quarter deposit, which is returned to the patron after they return the cart. At the entrance of the store I noticed a stand that housed the weekly sale ad and insert of all their special buys. Looking around all of the shelving was of a warehouse format, which only stood about five feet tall making it accessible for many customers to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Leaders, Leadership, And Leadership To Be a Leader Leadership is something that can come naturally to some, but challenging to others. Some struggle to find their voice, while others are heard too much. In a busy world like today, it is easy to spot leaders and their followers . But this is especially challenging for our younger generation due to many things. But all young leaders and leaders in general, possess similar traits that make them the leaders that they are. In my short essay, I will go over the commitments and traits of a leader, challenges of being a young leader, and why do I consider myself to be a leader. Being a leader is something that everyone puts their own spin on . Everyone has a different approach to being a leader (some more effective than others). But all leaders have the same traits, whether you see them or not. One of the traits that a leader can possess is the ability to communicate with others. This is a key trait, because how will a leader plan or teach something to others if you can t communicate with another. But a leader must consult with others before making a decision and a leader must be some what persuasive. Another trait that a leader must possess, is the ability to put personal problems aside. By doing this, a leader can make a better choice and be a role model to others. A leader must also have commitment. No leader should ever leave his/her followers if something goes wrong. A leader must be focused and determined to complete the project or problem at hand. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It all starts at the top. General manager Rick Spielman has used the NFL draft to his advantage, landing solid foundational pieces across the board. It goes on to say how the pieces and the pick up of the right head coach had made this team a good team that can have even better things to come in the future if this keeps up for them. A take away from this article that you can see is how important it is to find the right coach to get your players to the next level but also a good GM to help draft players you need to get better and that is something the LIons are shaky at best at if anything which is sad for us fans. Now Bleacher report did teams that can t rebuild and the Detroit pistons where on that list and it had this to say about them The Pistons have been up and down over the past 25 years, winning a title in 2004 before sliding steadily to a point where 2014 15 represented the fifth consecutive season with 32 or fewer wins. Now the PIstons have been so close to being back to the playoffs so many times but then they always fall apart at the end of the season like we have seen so many times and it could just be because we don t have the players we need to make a push into the playoffs because we are not so bad a top pick in the draft but not that good to where we can get big name free agents in the offseason to want to come play for us because we are not a team to make a run at the championship and have a good chance of winning it, which is really sad because of the history and pride of the Pistons that is in detroit and people would love to see them a playoff team again and ... • 33. Power Of The Druids The Power of the Druids In the Irish religion called druidism, the druids were extremely powerful, so powerful it seems that they even had to name the religion based upon these men and women of such high rank. Often called wizards, their powers were virtually limitless. Ranging from divination to creating potions to chanting spells, the druids were respected and, most likely, feared. Other than the magical abilities the druids possessed, they were also the exclusive possessors of whatever learning was then known (Joyce 44), meaning that they possessed all knowledge. Thus, they had even more power over the people because they were relied upon for information. Concerning their magic, the druids used it under many different circumstances and their interference greatly affected the outcome of a story. It is helpful to use and analyze specific examples of druids in stories to understand the mystical ways they wield their magic. In the story entitled Lord and Lady of the Wheel: the Careers of Mog Roith and Tlachtga , the vastness of a druid s power is well represented. Though known as a druid of wisdom and knowledge (Matthews 189), these are not the druidic traits of Mog Roith developed in the myth. In the first place, Mog Roith does not simply appear out of thin air or without any purpose, but he is called upon by King Fiacha of Munster to aid in the battle against Cormac mac Art. The King is currently on the verge of losing the war and he needs the help of a druid, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The Effects Of Groundwater Pollution On The World Groundwater pollution is a prominent problem in most areas of the world. High nitrate concentrations have been identified as one of the main culprits of groundwater pollution. Agriculture is a primary anthropogenic source involved in the spreading and distribution of nitrates in rural areas. China is considered one of the largest in terms of agricultural production. As the population of China increased over time, the recycling of plant nutrients could no longer renew the loss of nutrients from harvesting. The famine between 1960 and 1970 caused radical changes when it came to policies about population control and large efforts were made to increase agricultural yields. This was encouraged by increasing the application rate of chemical fertilizers, especially ones that were nitrogen based (Emteryd, Lu and Nykyist, 1998). However, higher irrigation and nitrogen fertilizer inputs results in decreased water and nitrogen use efficiency (Hu, Li, and Chen, 2010). Currently China is the leading producer of rice, wheat onion cabbage and the second largest producer of corn (See Appendix). Presently the average annual nitrogen fertilizer application is 200 kg N/ha in China (Zhang, Xu, XIaomin, Dong and Ballantine, 2013). As a result of this, China unsurprisingly suffers from large amounts of nitrate pollution in its groundwater, especially in northern China. The main focus of this paper will therefore be on the North China Plain and the provinces surrounding the Yangtze River as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. The Works Of Haydn And Mozart Haydn and Mozart are often recognised as the two composers who were responsible for bringing Viennese Classicism to its greatest height. In the public eye, these two great composers could not be more different, whether it is in terms of their characters or values. This essay sets out to explore the similarities and differences in the early lives of these two gifted individuals, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and (Franz) Joseph Haydn, through their backgrounds and music education. Mozart, who was born in 1756 in Salzburg, was Haydn s junior by twenty four years. By the time he was born, his father, Leopold Mozart, was already a widely known composer and violinist. All in all, Mozart grew up in a family of fairly good standing and this enabled him to blend in with the aristocrats and the nobility comfortably and effortlessly. On the other hand, Haydn was born in a small town call Rohrau. His father, Mathias Haydn, is a wheelwright, while his mother, Maria Koller, was a cook for the Lords of the village before marriage. Although the young Haydn s standard of living may not be comparable to that of Mozart s, Haydn did not live in extreme poverty. Haydn s father and grandfather were both the magistrate in the village and the preserved bills showed that Mathias were given plenty of work and was not paid badly. However, with eleven other siblings in the family, despite the fact that only six of them, including Haydn, survived infancy, Haydn, by no means, had the attention or resources ... • 38. Artificial Intelligence ( Ai ) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is portrayed in many science fiction films such as I, robot, The Terminator, Ex Machina, etc., or novels as the future that holds evil in our society. Engineers all over the world are currently developing and making AI a reality. I know that my major is involved with the project intending to bring AI into reality which is interesting, but it still has me wondering if this is a good idea. I imagine AI as the future such that we will have them at school, in our house and even our workplace. It is a possibility that AI will be used to help students and professors by solving critical equations faster than ever or helping them out in the subjects they are struggling with. They can help clean around the house and neighborhood, implement future ideas to companies, and even join the police force to stop crime. They do not necessarily need arms, legs, or eyes to commit such actions. As a Computer Engineer, I believe that AI will have the capability to protect and serve us, but if they are given the freedom to think and act, then they can also harm us. I assume the engineers working with AI, will program them to restrict actions that can harm this society and inspect them weekly to accomplish this restriction. We should keep an open mind towards any consequences and benefits AI may bring to this world. I can see drones roaming around freely while having the task to protect us, android devices advising and having a normal conversation with a person, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Mass Density Of An Unknown Metal Essay The goal of this experiment was to determine the mass density of an unknown metal. Five different vernier capillaries and double pan balances were used to measure the metal. The plan of action was to find the average density to reduce random error, in addition to, calculating the standard error to observe the reliability of proposed average. Ideally, the metal would identify more comparably with gold or aluminum. The concepts of mass density, standard error, average, one dimensional statistics, precision / accuracy, and test of accuracy were explored. A hollow cylinder of metal was given to each lab group. Initially, the mass of the metal was determined with a double pan balance. The metal was placed on the balance and the instrument s notch and slider was used to interpret the mass. The next step was determining the inner radius, outer radius and height of the cylinder to find the volume. A vernier caliper was used to measure those components. The vernier caliper included an inner and outer jaw that measures length. The results of the double pan balance and vernier caliper was recorded in a data sheet, and the procedure was repeated five times with different instruments. The data was placed in an excel file where the mass density, average, standard error, test of accuracy, and general comparison with the two proposed metals (gold and aluminum) could be analyzed. • 40. Durability Lab Report Abstract This report discusses the testing of the durability of the Ultra Thin Lifestyle, Trojan, and Durex Condoms by putting ball bearings in each condom until it broke for 3 trial runs. They are commonly known as a rubber layer used when having intercourse and is considered a safe haven because it helps prevent pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections in this case, we used ultra thin rubber sheaths. Our hypothesis was that if Lifestyle cost more than Durex and Trojan, then Lifestyle would have the most durability. We gathered our materials which included gloves, sealed condoms, ball bearings, and a plastic bin. We took the mass of one ball bearing before starting to know how to calculate how much intake each condom can endure and started putting them into each condom until it broke. Our findings were that the durability of each brand was extremely inconsistent during the three trial experiment. In addition, it meant we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To begin, we used an electronic balance to measure the mass of one ball bearing in grams and the mass was recorded on a separate sheet of paper. We then positioned a bin on the floor below the workspace. The Durex Ultra Thin condom was removed from its package and held open over the bin. Ball bearings were added to the condom until the condom broke. The number of ball bearings that it took to break the condom was recorded on a separate sheet of paper. These steps were repeated two more times, using Trojan Ultra Thin condoms the second time, and LifeStyles Ultra Thin condoms the third time. This entire process was repeated two more times until all three brands were tested with three trials. • 41. Assignment On Cultural Awareness Cultural Awareness Assignment Thinking about which country and culture to choose for this assignment was a difficult process because there is a plethora to choose from! I decided to choose Spain as I lived there for a short period of time. Spain, is a country located in western Europe and is bordered by Portugal, France, and Gibraltar. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to its east and the North Atlantic Ocean to its west. When trying to understand a culture from a foreign perspective, it is important to analyze the geography that makes up that country. Spain s geography is unique because it is located on the Iberian Peninsula with mountainous terrain throughout the landmass. The central portion of Spain mostly consists of high plateaus of land surround by rocky hills. Integrated into these plateaus are rural farm and cattle lands that create much of Spain s agricultural industry. This industry comes through the harvesting of barley and wheat, however, the crops that produce the most value consist of citrus fruits such as oranges. The climate of Spain varies from region to region, but in a majority of the country during the summer months, it is arid and hot. Temperatures often climb into the triple digits, however there is relatively no humidity. During the winter, temperatures tend to hover around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. It is difficult to pinpoint regions of agriculture on a map of Spain, because the country is dotted with various mountain ranges. Examples of such ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
