Essay on President Bush and FISA
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 was a necessary measure signed by President
Jimmy Carter in an effort to stop the CIA, FBI, NSA, and other executive powers from conducting
warrantless wiretaps of domestic groups for so called national security purposes. This was necessary
because findings by the Church Committee in the early 1970s suggested that warrantless wiretapping
had been going on for quite some time by these government entities and was exacerbated by President
Nixon and the Watergate scandal. This bill not only set a future precedent for how surveillance should
be conducted, but also attempted to set a standard for what good and bad surveillance were defined as.
FISA did not face any substantial challenges ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These problems that President Bush encountered where in fact very similar to the problems that the
Carter administration predicted would surface when they were drawing up the bill in the late 1970s.
Carter and other executive members brought up many valid concerns that included physical searches,
overseas surveillance, communications intelligence, and how much power to give to the president
(Carter Memo 2). The version of FISA proposed in 1978 was in itself a solid piece of legislature. Over
the years, many amendments have been made to it that have slowly surrendered its power and allowed
to the executive branch to create loopholes in which to continue warrantless surveillance where and
when they see it fit. For this reason, the FISA process of requiring review by a special court is still
viable, but does need some adjustments that allow it to stand similarly to its original form. Since the
passing of FISA came after a widespread finding of warrantless wiretapping by a number of different
government entities, Congress along with the Carter administration, needed to carefully craft a bill
that not only reconciled national security needs to conduct domestic surveillance, but also continued to
protect individual liberties such as that of the first and fourth amendments. The once top secret Carter
administration memos regarding FISA offer a first hand glimpse at the thinking that went into

My Letter And Their Description
First part: My Four Letter and their description.
My conformed profile is ENTJ, stands for Extravert, Intuitive, thinking, and judging. This means that
in business and school I am very open to the external world, I like receiving information from internal
and imaginative world, I am very logic so all the decisions I make are based on logical facts and
reasons, and I like organizing, planning, and ordering everything before starting doing something. In
other words, as an ENTJ, I do like to plan and organize, and I do not need the support of anyone to
build up my plan and perform it. I am really determined to achieve my plan once I have created it. I

with such personality likes apprehending events rather than reading and writing about them.
One of my friends is often boring about reading and spending time taking notes in class. She has a
penchant for adventures and she always thinksthat learning while being in the heart of experience is
better than staying behind a book, just read and listing to the tone of your voice and then nothing else
happens. She expresses great feelings when she is at ease of doing something. It is like she plunges
into the activity and becomes one with. I think that ISPF is the four letter that can describe her
personality.
Part 3: Experiences from the past
I faced some difficult situations, and I am going to recall two of them. I had a friend, he was
completely different of me. He was always ready to help even if he does know what to do.
Someday, he asked me to do something for him and on that time I was quite busy and in the
impossibility to help. Although it was something that could wait, he was really mad at me. When

Summary Of A Rose For Emily By Emily Grierson
Emily Grierson died at the mere age of 74, still having her whole life ahead of her. She had been
forced to live a lonely life, which later led to her becoming oppressed. Miss Emily was written into a
lonely woman by William Faulkner in his gothic story a Rose for Emily . Faulkner s gothic literature
describes the many different ways Miss Emily showed her oppression. In his story, Emily lived alone
in a house that was lifting its stubborn and coquettish decay .She wouldn t speak to anyone about
anything and would often isolate herself from the eyes of others by remaining in her house for long
periods of time.
Miss Emily Grierson seemed like a calm and independent woman that the whole neighborhood knew
about. People would often find themselves wishing for her to find a man, and when she did they
would wish for her to marry him. However, before she had found a man, she had her father, who
would strictly forbid her from =having any relationship with any man. Miss Emily respected her father
s wishes, obeyed his every rule, and even lived with him until she reached the age of thirty and still
found herself single. Her father s death affected Miss Emily greatly. She had at first denied her father s
death and left his corpse sitting in her dining room for three days before she finally broke down. The
detail that Faulkner wrote, about her denying her father s death, signalled that she was suffering from
oppression. Miss Emily Grierson was slowly starting to decay.

Easter Island Downfall
Adaptive Failure: Easter s End was written by Jared Diamond and was featured in Discover Magazine
in August of 1995, this article was mainly written to discuss the rise and fall of the Easter Island
civilization. Easter Island is the world s most isolated habitable land, more than 2,200 miles from the
nearest continent (South America), and 1,400 miles from the nearest habitable island (Pitcairn).
Diamond concluded that the rise of the Easter Island civilization was around 400 A.D. when the
Polynesian ancestors of the Easter Island people. Diamond stated that when the Polynesian ancestors
arrived the island was covered with heavily forested and fertile land, however by the 1400 s the forest

Plant Proteases Advantages
Proteases are the most important type of enzymes because they represent ca. 60% of all
commercialized enzymes in the world and occupy the most relevant position among industrial
enzymes. Plant proteases have various applications such as in detergent manufacturing, in medicine,
and food science for many years (Siota and Villa, 2010). The most frequently employed plant
proteases are papain, bromelain and ficin, although new proteases with new and more appealing
physicochemical properties for industry are still emerging. Plant enzymes (such as papain, bromelain,
and ficin) have been extensively used as meat tenderizers. New plant proteases such as actinidin and
zingibain and microbial enzyme preparations have been of recent interest due to controlled meat
tenderization and other advantages.
2.1 Sources of proteases: Proteases occur naturally in all living organisms and play important role in
their functioning. They have been isolated and studied from various sources.

important role in metabolic processes. These are prepared in bulk in pure form. But the production of

further governed by other policies and religional beliefs. Also the chances of transfer of diseases from
animals to humans are quiet high. These reasons have led to an increase in the demand of microbial

A Professional Experience Of Working
I personally do not have a professional experience of working in an organization. However, while I
doing pursuing my bachelors degree I was the member for one the college club. When I first join the
club in 2013, the members were very ineffective with their communication. The club objective or
values were very unclear. There was lot of ambiguity within the roles of members. As described in
page 4 of the PMI s Pulse of Profession report, there was a gap in understanding business benefits. In
our case was or the club some of the members did not have proper understanding about the goals, and
what kind of events/activities the club want to in the college As stated in page 4 of the report that
Everyone needs to understand the long term goal so they can know how they re contributing, how they
re making an impact (Project Management Institute, 2013). There was a very poor communication
between the President and the members of the club. President was not effective in delivering his
expectation and strategies, and this later impacted on club events resulting in failure. The gap was very
evident, but no one took the ownership, not even the advisor whose role similar to an executive
sponsor or senior manager. If the gaps were identified then the club would have been successful since
the beginning.

The Blossoms Garden Center ( Bgc )
1: Introduction
Since World War II, gardening industry grows quite rapidly with significant impact on the way people
entertainment and changes people s lives. Although the Blossoms Garden Center (BGC) has
developed with a strong reputation for the quality and range of its plant and its knowledgeable staff, it
still faced problems during the developing process, which could cause negative effects in itself such as
lack of competitiveness and loss market shares (PMM, 2015). Specifically, in line with market
changes, the business generated revenue has sharply decreased from £4.23million in 2013 to
£3.87million in 2014 (PMM, 2015). This case study aims to identify those problems of Blossoms
Garden Center. It critically examines a number of strategies could be used efficiently and effectively
in BGC. Finally, it will evaluate those strategies that appear to yield the best results.
2: Problems for BGC
During the developing process, a number of problems in BGC increasing broadly such as customer
service quality, managing operation, internal relationship and finance. Specifically, managing external
relationship is a significant problem for the company. According to Casledine (2015), customers are
the heart of any organization and its activities. For Blossoms Garden Center, customers are dissatisfied
with less experienced staff who are unable to provide the related professional knowledge about
products (PMM, 2015). Another risk of Blossoms is competitive priority which is included

The True Power Of Music
Music is an important factor to the life of every human. It invokes the the strongest of emotions and
can trigger long forgotten memories, even after years of suppression. Humans tend to take the
mysterious power of music for granted, however after this paper I hope to reveal the true power of
music and how it could be the greatest things to have ever happen. All throughout history, music
follows and evolves with mankind to become a natural occurrence where without music, the world
would feel empty, why might that be? Ben Mauk, a contributor to Life s Little Mysteries, believes, As
stimulation for food and sex are important for an organism s survival, the fact that similar neural
activity is observed in responses to features in music suggests that there could be some evolutionary
advantage to the ability to hear or hum a good tune (Mauk). While Mauk s belief of music s existence
is because of instinctive stimulation, I believe music is popular because of the multitude patterns that
the human brain can follow. The human brain attempts to find patterns in everything it performs, for
example a worker performing their daily tasks but when they break that system they may be unsure
what to do with their extra time. Even though we might disagree in the invention of music but we
could both agree on that music brings people together. On the other hand, Tom de Castella, a writer for
BBC News Magazine, would argue, It can be lonely travelling through public space and using

An Energy Source Is A Universal Objective For All Nations...
The search and need for an energy source is a universal objective for all nations on earth. Human
societies have been built on the consumption of natural resources for energy since the beginning of
human existence. The first source of course came from the burning of wood from trees to produce fire
that has kept humans warm and fed throughout the ages. With the evolution of human civilization the
need for more powerful energy sources have arisen. The industrial revolution of the early 20th century
demanded a new source which could keep up with humanities growing technologies. Coal, oil, and
natural gas now account for the vast majority of nation s sources of energy, but these resources have
only finite supply. Nuclear energy became an important next step in humanities source for a
sustainable energy source. In recent years though nuclear energy has started to decline in use primarily
due to the public s disapproval after such devastating nuclear disasters such as Chernobyl, Three Mile
Island and more recently the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan. This decline in nuclear energy is
not the case in China today, in fact they are making huge movements to ramp up their use of nuclear
energy. By looking at the history then taking an in depth look into recent nuclear power in China we
will be able to see why and how China is making such extensive leaps in nuclear energy.
In 1964 China created and tested its first atomic bomb and by 1966 China had launched its first

We Can Put a Man on the Moon, but Why Can t We Make Killer Robot Police?
In the recent past, NASA has been doing excellent and outstanding things in the outer space. The
media has hyped the show and depicted NASA as a genius (Frederick). Most people would say that
the operations of NASA are exhilarating, but in my opinion, I am left flabbergasted! Could the skills
used to put a man on the moon be duplicated to improve the state of life for humans? Can t they
decide to invent robots that will play an essential role to curb the rising insecurities? NASA
commitments and objectives just boil my blood. Personally, I am not moved by NASA creativity and
innovation because I would want to see better things from NASA. I imply that the government could
support NASA to land a man on the moon; however, we can t make a deadly robot police that will
protect people from theft, terrorism, drug trafficking, or any other illegal activities. What type of
concerns are we putting ahead in such a nation? In this paper, I will address our concerns regarding
why we have the capability of putting a man on the moon, but we can t make killer robot police.
Lately, newspapers articles have been talking about the problem of truancy among high school
students. This has affected their academic performance because teachers and parents are yet to find the

Impact Of Karl Marx s View On Religion
Marx View on Religion
Karl Marx was born and raised in Trier, a city that was then in the Kingdom of Prussia but now
occupies southwestern Germany on the French border. He died of respiratory problems in London in
1883.
Marx came from a Jewish background, but his father converted to Lutheranism to avoid losing his
work as a lawyer in anti Semitic Prussia.1 His home was only Christian in name and largely non
religious. Marx, of course, became the atheist we all know.
Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of
spiritless conditions. It is the opium of the people
In my view I feel Karl Marx is famous for writing this very statement, I m sure people who don t
know him too well would still know his name by stating this statement. Even though Marx was very
critical of religion I feel in a way he was also quite sympathetic of it. For Marx, ideology is a belief
system that changes people s perception of reality in ways that serve the interests of the ruling class.

motto the words of the Greek hero Prometheus who defied the gods to bring fire to humanity: I hate
all gods, with addition that they do not recognize man s self consciousness as the highest divinity.
3. Religion is hypocritical. Although it might profess valuable principles, it sides with the oppressors.
Jesus advocated helping the poor, but the Christian church merged with the oppressive Roman state,
taking part in the
enslavement of people for centuries. In the Middle Ages the Catholic Church preached about heaven,

Debates Of Euthanasia And Physician-Assisted Suicide
1. The current debates of euthanasia
Euthanasia and physician assisted suicide are acts that strike at the heart of what it means to be human
the moral acts that make us who we are, or better, who we ought to be. Debates about the ethics of
euthanasia date back from ancient Greece and Rome and has become more and more well known in
the present time.
In order to deal with the question of euthanasia properly, it is first necessary to define it. Generally,
euthanasia requires the physician to perform a medical procedure that causes death directly.
Euthanasia should clearly be defined as a deliberate act or omission that causes death, undertaken by
one person with the primary intention of ending the life of another person, in order to relieve

The Role Of The First Lady From Nothing Essay

Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, and Dolley Madison invented and created the role of the first
lady from nothing. They were able to put content into a role that did not even exist beforehand. when
there was no one that came before to teach them. Known as the first three first ladies, Martha
Washington, Abigail Adams, and Dolley Madison defined the role of the first lady to society before
anyone else had the chance to. By handled hostess duties, a position in politics, and a X public image,
they set the example for the many future first ladies to come.
George Washington became the first President of the United States when he was unanimously elected
in 1788 ( Miller ). Martha Washington, his wife, then became the first lady, the first of many to come.
After President Washington s inauguration, in the middle of May 1789, Washington picked up her
belongings and moved to New York City, the temporary capital of the time, with two of her
grandchildren in tow ( Martha ). Moving from Mt. Vernon, Washington soon realized that her new life
would be much different than the life she was used to ( Martha ). When she arrived, she was
immediately required to perform a multitude of duties, such as to supervise the and take care of
matters in Mt. Vernon from the capital ( Martha ). Differing not only in her duties, but also in her
social life, Washington was also required to dress formally, entertain guests, and visit other political

Differences Between Rikkki Tikki Movie And Movie
Rikki Tikki Tavi Rikki Tikki was a strong mongoose that wasn t afraid of anything not even snakes.
The movie and the story Rikki tikki had many things that weren t the same which made them very
different. RikkiTikki was faced with challenges which made his journey difficult. In the end Rikki
Tikki kills both of the snakes and is called a hero. Rikki did not do all of this on his own, but he had
the help of some of his friends along the way which also made his journey fun and interesting.
Chuchundra gave Rikki advice, while Nag and Nagina would try and test him. Rikki also had help
from Darzee. Darzee helped by fighting the two snakes or giving him positives feedback like calling
him a hero. There are many similarities and differences with the characters, setting, and the conflict of
both the story and the movie. Rikki Tikki in the story is different from in the movie. Rikki seems and
sounds very mature and talented when told in the story. Rikki Tikki has a friend that is a muskrat
named Chuchundra. Chuchundra sounds a lot smaller in the story than what he looks like in the
movie. Chuchundra in a very chubby muskrat that seems like he just wants some food and is too afraid
to come out into the middle of the bathrooms floor. In the story there are two snakes with the names of
Nag and his wife Nagaina. Both of which try and kill Rikki but in the end Rikki kills them both.
Darzee the tailor bird had a lot more sadness in his voice during the story. In the movie, Darzee he was
full of spirit and happiness, especially whenever he found out the evil snakes were dead. Whenever
Rikki Tikki killed Karait, he went and told Chuchundra in the book, but in the movie he did not. Rikki
Tikki was very talented and smart about the choices he made, although he seemed more talented in the
movie. The movie Rikki Tikki has some features and differences that are different compared to the
story. In the movie, Rikki smashes all of Nagina s snake eggs which he does not do in the book. In the
movie Darzee had thought that Rikki had been killed by Nag and so he started to sing mournfully
about his death even though a few short hours he came out from the snake hole and was alive. In the

Essay on Managed Care and Utilization Management
Utilization management is described as the implementation of guidelines which reduce unnecessary
use of medical resources (Kongstvedt, 2007, p.190). There are a variety of methods used to ensure
costs are kept at a minimum without compromising patient care. The use of utilization management
(UM) are yielding financial benefits resulting in managed care organizations (MCOs) and facilities
investing more into UM programs.
Health maintenance organization s (HMOs) use of the primary care physician (PCP) as the gatekeeper
initially had MCOs view restrictions as a negative approach to patients choices. However, some
necessary steps have started to be implemented which reduce unnecessary utilization by enforcing

Self care and medical consumerism programs are also a part of DM. They provide member with
access to medical information that will assist them in caring for themselves and knowing when to
consult a professional. These programs are now an accreditation standard for health plans by the
National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as they promote consumer directed health (CDH).
The benefits of self care programs show $2.50 to $3.50 saved for every $1 invested by health plans. A
HMO study done showed a decrease in outpatient visits as well as a 2:1 return (Kongstvedt, 2007,
p.192). Another different study showed a decrease in pediatric acute care visits also.
Other programs under DM that have shown to be beneficial to both the members and the health plans
are, shared decision making programs and medical informatics. PPOs, HMOs and CDHPs have
preventive services programs being implemented. Preventive services include services such as:
immunizations, mammograms, physicals, and counseling. An independent study on an indemnity plan
that had prenatal preventive services showed that members who enrolled into this program had an
average of $3200 less per delivery than those who had not (p.194). Health risk appraisals are a
program geared to obtain information from members regarding activities or behaviors that can affect
their health status (Kongstvedt, 2007,p.193). When the health plan obtains this information it

Women s Own Social Order
INTRODUCTION
For a long time, women have no freedom of speech, as feminist critics have said, always trying to
steal our language. Feminist Cixous believes that language is the main control of the power of culture
and ways of thinking, to overthrow patriarchal control, we must start from the critique of language:
Everything starts words: everything is word, and only word can help us to give back our rights
(Cixous). Everyone put their thinking into words, like any political ideology must use language to
express. However women never have their right of speech because they are not able to escape from
the control of men, and they have no idea of how to change the domination of patriarchy society. To
establish women s own social order, American radical feminism have even tried to emphasized the
transformation of an existing language to female centric language system in order to replace the old
patriarchal language system; and American writer Gilman used her famous short story the yellow
wallpaper in late nineteen centuries to put up a banner of feminism, she is not only to describe the real
situation of women and created a strategical narrative to against the patriarchy: drilling into men s
thought and reveals it s abominable and obsolete social norms.

How Did Stalin Influence Russian Mafia
During the Soviet era even when Stalin was in control, crime organizations were growing in the
shadows of the Russian economy to later on surpass the government. Even though the Soviet state had
a strong control of the economy, Russian mafia gangs were still able to twist and turn the law to get
things their way. In addition, during Stalin s rule he mainly focused on heavy industry and neglected
consumer goods (Goldman, 1996, p.40). As a consequence, organized crime groups created the black
market where it mainly focused on providing goods and services for the people that were considered
unimportant and sold without the consent of the government, as mentioned before this is called the
shadow economy in Russia. In addition, the Stalin government was very severe when it came to
organized crime and mafia gangs, if anyone failed to respect the law it was considered an economic
crime which was punishable by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some might say Stalin himself helped shaped the Russian mafia groups of today since during his
dictatorship he would send criminals to concentration camps called gulags with the idea to eliminate
criminals. During their imprisonment, criminals would still continue their practices by recruiting other
prisoners into their criminal group. In the recruiting process, they took into consideration what charges
a man was sentenced, how many years spent in which prisons, and if he had ever been recruited by the
prison administration (Cheloukhine, 2008, p.359). As a consequence, after his death in 1953 around
eight million inmates were released and once they got out they returned to the Soviet state to rein
terror, criminal activity was at an all time high and it was just the start (Lexis Nexis, 2012, p.16 17).
During the leadership of Leonid Brezhnev in 1964, performing criminal activities has became much

The Prince And The Pauper By Mark Twain
In The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain, Twain suggest that even though Edward and Tom switch
lives they have the same knowledge. The two main characters are Edward Tudor, who is part of the
royal bloodline, and Tom Canty, who is a poor boy where domestic violence occurs in his house on a
daily basis. How these two completely opposite citizens of England meet is strange. One day Tom,
who is the poor boy, is walking near the castle. As he walks near the castle Edward, who is the prince
of England, is walking into the castle and a guard treats Tom poorly. Edward saw how the guard
treated Tom and decided to invite him into the castle. While they were in the castle, they talked about
their different lifestyle and how every day went for them. As they were talking, Tom and Edward
became envious of each other s lifestyle. Tom liked the royal life that Edward had, and Edward liked
Tom s life of roaming freely and playing in mud. Since they were envious of each other, they ... Show

What Twain is suggesting is that people use their senses, particularly the visual sense when they first
meet someone. At first sight, people can t tell what type of personality someone has, one can only see
a person s appearance. If you smell good or you are dressed nicely, you are sought as a person that has
money and a certain social status. In this case, since Tom is the poor kid dressed like a king, the
commoners of England think he really is the king rather than a poor person who begs on the streets.
On the other hand the real king, Edward, is dressed like a poor person and people believe that he really
is a poor person and not the King of England. Furthermore, another example is Miles Hendon.
Although he has important people family members, people think that he is poor since he wears only
rags. Those three instances show what you can perceive the first time you see a person it s only their

Wounded Warrior Research Paper
Have you ever had a Family member that has been impacted or hurt in war? I am lucky enough to not
have one but there are many people who do. If you have a family member that is mentally hurt or
physically hurt wouldn t you want to get them help? The wounded warrior project helps out warriors
who have been injured in war and helps them recover from everything that has happened to them. I
would want to join this organization more than any other one. I want to help out people who have
risked their lives and helped our country grow.
War is not something most people want to go into, but sometimes people don t have much of a choice.
Without an army protecting us how many of us would be left? With everything the army does for us
we should give them something in return. Well the WWP helps out by raising money to be able to give

Shadows In The Tell Tale Heart
Edgar Allan Poe a man vailed in shadows. The story The Tell Tale Heart was no exception. This story
seemingly simple after the first read, however it is suggested that there are many deep secrets hiding
in the shadows of this dark tale. The eyes are the windows to the soul, and time seems to slow during
moments of terrible stress. In this day and age, we often forget to look closely at the simplest of things
nearest us: the eyes of a companion, or a roommate, or a peer, and try to peer into the window of their
souls. This window can provide a crucial clue for the intentions and perceptions of these close friends.
However, constantly these flags and signs are missed, and the world has a new sad news story or

However, as the story unfolds the narrator s lack of mental prowess becomes plausible. This is how
the themes of the tale become known. The unnamed narrator thinks he is the protagonist even though
he brutally kills the old man. As the narrator s psychosis spirals out of control the reader begins to see
the reasons for his psychosis. The narrator kill the man, not for his eye, but rather what he sees in the
eye. Other than the narrator having some severe form of psychosis, there are no valid reasons.
Moreover, the eye triggered these violent acts, but killing a person in such an awful way should not be
brought about by a man s eye. The narrator spend a great deal of time, trying, convincing the reader
that he is not mad. The evil that worked its way out of the narrator will no doubt face the gallows. He
tells us that he loved the old man but, the eye that had a vale, that made the narrator see himself for
who he was, or perhaps reminded himself of his own faults. Never the less, the narrator saw his

Styles Influence Of Communication In Military Organizations
Obviously, the structure, systems and leadership styles influence communication and its
manifestations in any organization (military, industrial, commercial). Nowadays, in the light of the
modern technological and organizational revolution, the military organization is increasingly similar
to civilian institutions; nonetheless, it differs in a radical way its members must be always ready to
pay the supreme sacrifice: their life. Due to this life binding commitment, the military must act like a
rigidly stratified organization, in which each level is linked to its hierarchical superior or subordinate
by immediate and loyal allegiance.
The organizational structure, as mentioned before, is strictly stratified. It manifests formally and
informally through diverse attitudes, behaviors, conducts, reactions, between otherwise equal
members of the society, classified and empowered by the institution according to rank and position.
The hierarchy is rigid and must be obeyed under all circumstances, by all members of the
organization, regardless of their race, color, status, age, gender etc. When the hierarchical flow does
not move smoothly across the organization, communication is obstructed. This is ... Show more

information. Consequently, the inherent conditions of communication (transparency, freedom of
expression, respect for others opinions, positive feedback) are conscientiously respected by all the
members of the organization and come to define modern military

When We Two Parted By Lord Byron
In the poem When We Two Parted by Lord Byron, a tale is told of a couple separating and the
sorrowful and broken heartedness that followed for only one of the party. The overall theme of the
poem, the pain of love lost, is shown through many aspects such as tone, rhyme and meter, and
figurative language. Lord Byron starts off his poem When We Two Parted with the lines When we two
parted/ In silence and tears (1 2). The tone is immediately set as being sorrowful and grieving
knowing the context of a separated couple. The line of In silence and tears also gives evidence to a
sorrowful tone because the connotation of tears of silence suggests crying of sadness and not delight.
Within the same stanza, the poem reads Truly that hour foretold/ Sorrow to this (7 8) which tells how
even to the present day, that moment of separation still fills the narrator with sorrow. In the second
stanza the tone continues to show evidence of being full of sorrow and despair. In the last lines of the
stanza, he writes I hear thy name spoken,/And share in its shame (15 16) showing how even just
hearing her name sweeps him with feelings, particularly shame. With the feeling of shame we can
either assume it is caused by regret or embarrassment. In this case, shame is caused by regret because
the narrator later writes how Long, long I shall rue thee,/ Too deeply to tell . This ultimately shows
how he loved her so much that it will take much time before he can completely get over her,

The events that you take part in with your loved ones are to be cherished forever. Valentine s Day is
supposed to reignite the spark between relationships and remind individuals of their feelings. In The
Lottery when someone pulls the slip with a black dot on it, each of their family members is required to
pull another slip of paper, including children, and whichever family member draws the slip with a
black dot is then put in the town square and stoned by the villagers. The whole town is forced to show

simply ends. The tradition of The Lottery has lost its importance. The Valentine s Day holiday, even

John Stuart Mill s Utilitarianism
The perceived end goal for most human experiences is happiness. However, the objective assessment
of happiness creates challenges. Happiness is individual and personal, but the actions that people take
to achieve happiness effect everyone in society. In this essay, I will investigate the standards for
happiness utilizing John Stuart Mill s Utilitarianism. Happiness is available to all people at different
levels, with clear objective standards at its most basic levels but with only subjective standards at its
higher levels. Although, people are able to obtain different levels of happiness based upon their
faculties according to Mill, all are able to contribute to the greater good through their actions. Mill
makes it clear early in his work that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mill explains the higher and lower pleasures, comparing human happiness to that of pigs. He states,
Human beings have higher faculties than the animal appetites, and once they become conscious of
them they don t regard anything as happiness that doesn t include their gratification (Mill, 5). This
comparison is important, as it serves as a concrete example of more desirable pleasures. Humans
mental pleasures are also dependent on their respective faculties. The higher the person s faculties, the
higher more required for the person to be happy. This individual quality of happiness is therefore
subjective as the two people can achieve the same understood level of happiness with significantly
different mental cultivations. A person who cultivates their mind daily and understands more about
philosophy is happier, but a person with lower faculties is unable to understand this level of happiness.
These human pleasures of the mind are much more superior to animalistic pleasures. Mill argues that
once people are made aware of their possession of higher faculties, they will not be happy when these

The Impact Of The Proclamation Of 1763
The day was October 7th 1763. The air was cold in Britain, and what happened in Britain that day
changed the course of history. King George III issued the Proclamation of 1763. This all started
because of the French and Indian war. The French and Indian war was a war fought between the
British and France who had the Native Americans on their side. It was Britain versus the rest of North
America. It was a grueling war, but Britain eventually prevailed. After this war, the King created the
Proclamation of 1763. After the French and Indian war, the relationship between the American
colonists and Britain was strained because Britain took away their land, the colonists didn t like the
Proclamation of 1763, and Britain had listened to the Native Americans over the Colonists. The
relationship between the colonists and Britain was strained because Britain took away their land.
According to Document A, the American colonists had gained a lot more land after the French and
Indian war. But, the Proclamation of 1763 took all of it away and they had the same land they started
with. I think everyone would be very mad if someone took away something you had just got. The
colonists had worked hard for that land. They had lost lives the same as the British, but then British
took that land away from the colonists and had reserved it for the Indians. The colonists had died for
that land. Fathers, brothers, sons, had all died in that war and their mourning families were barred

SWOT analysis. Further, it consists of specifying the project and helps to spot the internal and external

This idea needs to be taught and accepted in both the school settings and the community. Sexual
empowerment is when a person is confident with who they are as a person both physically and
mentally in terms of sexuality (Erchull Liss, 2014). Instead of men and women being objectified
through individuals and the media people need to stand for who they are as an individual. Being
objectified because of one s sex needs to be seen as a negative symptom of being male or female
(Stock, 2015). People should also feel confident about their sexual desires and not try to fit in based
on the societal norm for what is acceptable. In advertising, there is an attempt to see empowerment
trying to be displayed, but in reality there is women are often displayed as actively seeking and
enjoying sex as a way to sell products, not because they are fulfilling sexual empowerment. These
advertisements are not trying to help men and women, but rather set a standard of sexuality. However,
these images are used for business because sex sells. Many feminists are able to recognize the use of

Understanding Of Mpm And Measuring Improvement Essay
RESEARCH PROPOSAL Study objective: Understanding of MPM and measuring improvement in
store sales . INTRODUCTION Retail enterprise is a kind of commercial enterprise with high level of
competition. The success of retail business depends on how fast can a retailer recognize consumer
behavior and buying pattern. Retail business must focus on the factor affecting consumer buying
pattern and elements that shifts customers buying decision. Store atmospheric attributes (which

which shoppers make decisions of store selection and patronage. Many of the previous research on

Successfully implementing a Contingent Workforce Management program requires a technology

Genital Herpes Facts
The Sexually Transmitted Disease Genital herpes (to creep) is very common in most Americans
especially adolescents. Genital herpes is transmitted through sexual contact and other physical contact
with an infected person. Herpes is a viral infection caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus. Once a
person is infected with the virus it stays in their body for life. Once you have contracted this virus it is
easy to pass it on to someone else even if the virus is not active. The virus remains in certain nerve
cells of the body forever, which can produce symptoms on and off in infected individuals. Herpes is
spread through direct contact. A Genital Herpes infection will stay in ... Show more content on

There are so many people who are uneducated about genital herpes; it s more common than known.
There are at least 45 million people infected by this virus and many are as young as 12 years of age.
Studies show that 1 out of 5 adolescents/adults are infected with the Herpes Simplex Virus. 1 out of 4
women are infected with genital herpes. This virus is more common in women than in men likely
because of the male to female transmission.
Genital herpes can be passed through skin to skin contact. Once a person has contracted the virus it is
fairly easy to pass it along to someone else through various ways. The number one way is by having
sex with someone who is shedding the herpes virus either during an outbreak (As pertains to genital
herpes, the virus becomes active and produces visible symptoms, such as redness and sores) or during
a period with no symptoms. Kissing someone with herpes on the mouth, through casual, oral, anal,
and vaginal sex as well as skin to skin contact with the infected area. Objects such as toilet seats,
public seating, and hot tubs rarely spread the virus.
The signs and symptoms of genital herpes are different with each person who has the virus. Some
people with genital herpes mistake their symptoms for simple skin irritations such as razor burn, jock
itch, or even a yeast infection. People often assume that because the symptoms may

The Solstice Canyon Essay
Solstice Canyon is mesmerizing places were the majestic serenity of nature and history are combined
with the sight and sounds from the environment and the animals that inhabit Solstice. Many people
have been attracted to Solstice Canyon for its gorgeous environment. When visiting the landmark the

Fred Roberts s ambition for obtaining more land in Solstice Canyon reached almost over 1000 acres.
Fred and his wife Florence Roberts hired a famous African America architecture engineer named Paul
R. Williams to design a modern home for them on their family ranch, Solstice Canyon. The material
used for building the home of Roberts family was wood, stone, and brick; which at the time was a
great combination of materials due to the home site of waterfalls, springs and lush vegetation. Fred
Roberts named their newly constructed home from the time Tropical Terrade. Fred insisted that the
architect included an elaborate fire protection system for the home and build using only fire resistant
materials. Before Fred Roberts was able to see his dream home he passed away in1976. Shortly a few
years later the house was destroyed in 1982 by a wildfire that frequently burned through the canyon to
the ocean. The Santa Monica Mountains first opened Solstice Canyons a public park in 1988. This
landmark is now managed by the national park Service and is free to the public with no parking or
entrance fee. It is highly recommended to take plenty of water and comfortable shoes. It is estimated
to takes about three hours to complete the hiking trail and the park is open to the public seven day a
weeks. It is best to arrive early in the morning to Solstice Canyon because parking is limited. There
are several animals one can spot on the trails such as wild

  • 2. Essay on President Bush and FISA The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 was a necessary measure signed by President Jimmy Carter in an effort to stop the CIA, FBI, NSA, and other executive powers from conducting warrantless wiretaps of domestic groups for so called national security purposes. This was necessary because findings by the Church Committee in the early 1970s suggested that warrantless wiretapping had been going on for quite some time by these government entities and was exacerbated by President Nixon and the Watergate scandal. This bill not only set a future precedent for how surveillance should be conducted, but also attempted to set a standard for what good and bad surveillance were defined as. FISA did not face any substantial challenges ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These problems that President Bush encountered where in fact very similar to the problems that the Carter administration predicted would surface when they were drawing up the bill in the late 1970s. Carter and other executive members brought up many valid concerns that included physical searches, overseas surveillance, communications intelligence, and how much power to give to the president (Carter Memo 2). The version of FISA proposed in 1978 was in itself a solid piece of legislature. Over the years, many amendments have been made to it that have slowly surrendered its power and allowed to the executive branch to create loopholes in which to continue warrantless surveillance where and when they see it fit. For this reason, the FISA process of requiring review by a special court is still viable, but does need some adjustments that allow it to stand similarly to its original form. Since the passing of FISA came after a widespread finding of warrantless wiretapping by a number of different government entities, Congress along with the Carter administration, needed to carefully craft a bill that not only reconciled national security needs to conduct domestic surveillance, but also continued to protect individual liberties such as that of the first and fourth amendments. The once top secret Carter administration memos regarding FISA offer a first hand glimpse at the thinking that went into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This means that in business and school I am very open to the external world, I like receiving information from internal and imaginative world, I am very logic so all the decisions I make are based on logical facts and reasons, and I like organizing, planning, and ordering everything before starting doing something. In other words, as an ENTJ, I do like to plan and organize, and I do not need the support of anyone to build up my plan and perform it. ISFP is attached to living experiences instead of theoretical things; a person with such personality likes apprehending events rather than reading and writing about them. One of my friends is often boring about reading and spending time taking notes in class. She has a penchant for adventures and she always thinksthat learning while being in the heart of experience is better than staying behind a book, just read and listing to the tone of your voice and then nothing else happens. • 4. Summary Of A Rose For Emily By Emily Grierson Emily Grierson died at the mere age of 74, still having her whole life ahead of her. She had been forced to live a lonely life, which later led to her becoming oppressed. Miss Emily was written into a lonely woman by William Faulkner in his gothic story a Rose for Emily . Faulkner s gothic literature describes the many different ways Miss Emily showed her oppression. In his story, Emily lived alone in a house that was lifting its stubborn and coquettish decay .She wouldn t speak to anyone about anything and would often isolate herself from the eyes of others by remaining in her house for long periods of time. Miss Emily Grierson seemed like a calm and independent woman that the whole neighborhood knew about. People would often find themselves wishing for her to find a man, and when she did they would wish for her to marry him. However, before she had found a man, she had her father, who would strictly forbid her from =having any relationship with any man. Miss Emily respected her father s wishes, obeyed his every rule, and even lived with him until she reached the age of thirty and still found herself single. Her father s death affected Miss Emily greatly. She had at first denied her father s death and left his corpse sitting in her dining room for three days before she finally broke down. The detail that Faulkner wrote, about her denying her father s death, signalled that she was suffering from oppression. Miss Emily Grierson was slowly starting to decay. William ... Easter Island Downfall Adaptive Failure: Easter s End was written by Jared Diamond and was featured in Discover Magazine in August of 1995, this article was mainly written to discuss the rise and fall of the Easter Island civilization. Plant Proteases Advantages Proteases are the most important type of enzymes because they represent ca. 60% of all commercialized enzymes in the world and occupy the most relevant position among industrial enzymes. Plant proteases have various applications such as in detergent manufacturing, in medicine, and food science for many years (Siota and Villa, 2010). The most frequently employed plant proteases are papain, bromelain and ficin, although new proteases with new and more appealing physicochemical properties for industry are still emerging. Plant enzymes (such as papain, bromelain, and ficin) have been extensively used as meat tenderizers. New plant proteases such as actinidin and zingibain and microbial enzyme preparations have been of recent interest due to controlled meat tenderization and other advantages. 2.1 Sources of proteases: Proteases occur naturally in all living organisms and play important role in their functioning. It invokes the the strongest of emotions and can trigger long forgotten memories, even after years of suppression. Humans tend to take the mysterious power of music for granted, however after this paper I hope to reveal the true power of music and how it could be the greatest things to have ever happen. All throughout history, music follows and evolves with mankind to become a natural occurrence where without music, the world would feel empty, why might that be? Ben Mauk, a contributor to Life s Little Mysteries, believes, As stimulation for food and sex are important for an organism s survival, the fact that similar neural activity is observed in responses to features in music suggests that there could be some evolutionary advantage to the ability to hear or hum a good tune (Mauk). While Mauk s belief of music s existence is because of instinctive stimulation, I believe music is popular because of the multitude patterns that the human brain can follow. The human brain attempts to find patterns in everything it performs, for example a worker performing their daily tasks but when they break that system they may be unsure what to do with their extra time. Even though we might disagree in the invention of music but we could both agree on that music brings people together. • 11. An Energy Source Is A Universal Objective For All Nations... The search and need for an energy source is a universal objective for all nations on earth. Human societies have been built on the consumption of natural resources for energy since the beginning of human existence. The first source of course came from the burning of wood from trees to produce fire that has kept humans warm and fed throughout the ages. With the evolution of human civilization the need for more powerful energy sources have arisen. The industrial revolution of the early 20th century demanded a new source which could keep up with humanities growing technologies. Coal, oil, and natural gas now account for the vast majority of nation s sources of energy, but these resources have only finite supply. Nuclear energy became an important next step in humanities source for a sustainable energy source. In recent years though nuclear energy has started to decline in use primarily due to the public s disapproval after such devastating nuclear disasters such as Chernobyl, Three Mile Island and more recently the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan. This decline in nuclear energy is not the case in China today, in fact they are making huge movements to ramp up their use of nuclear energy. By looking at the history then taking an in depth look into recent nuclear power in China we will be able to see why and how China is making such extensive leaps in nuclear energy. Feminist Cixous believes that language is the main control of the power of culture and ways of thinking, to overthrow patriarchal control, we must start from the critique of language: Everything starts words: everything is word, and only word can help us to give back our rights (Cixous). Everyone put their thinking into words, like any political ideology must use language to express. However women never have their right of speech because they are not able to escape from the control of men, and they have no idea of how to change the domination of patriarchy society. To establish women s own social order, American radical feminism have even tried to emphasized the transformation of an existing language to female centric language system in order to replace the old patriarchal language system; and American writer Gilman used her famous short story the yellow wallpaper in late nineteen centuries to put up a banner of feminism, she is not only to describe the real situation of women and created a strategical narrative to against the patriarchy: drilling into men s thought and reveals it s abominable and obsolete social norms. • 26. Styles Influence Of Communication In Military Organizations Obviously, the structure, systems and leadership styles influence communication and its manifestations in any organization (military, industrial, commercial). Nowadays, in the light of the modern technological and organizational revolution, the military organization is increasingly similar to civilian institutions; nonetheless, it differs in a radical way its members must be always ready to pay the supreme sacrifice: their life. Due to this life binding commitment, the military must act like a rigidly stratified organization, in which each level is linked to its hierarchical superior or subordinate by immediate and loyal allegiance. The organizational structure, as mentioned before, is strictly stratified. It manifests formally and informally through diverse attitudes, behaviors, conducts, reactions, between otherwise equal members of the society, classified and empowered by the institution according to rank and position. When We Two Parted By Lord Byron In the poem When We Two Parted by Lord Byron, a tale is told of a couple separating and the sorrowful and broken heartedness that followed for only one of the party. The overall theme of the poem, the pain of love lost, is shown through many aspects such as tone, rhyme and meter, and figurative language. Lord Byron starts off his poem When We Two Parted with the lines When we two parted/ In silence and tears (1 2). The tone is immediately set as being sorrowful and grieving knowing the context of a separated couple. The line of In silence and tears also gives evidence to a sorrowful tone because the connotation of tears of silence suggests crying of sadness and not delight. Within the same stanza, the poem reads Truly that hour foretold/ Sorrow to this (7 8) which tells how even to the present day, that moment of separation still fills the narrator with sorrow. In the second stanza the tone continues to show evidence of being full of sorrow and despair. In the last lines of the stanza, he writes I hear thy name spoken,/And share in its shame (15 16) showing how even just hearing her name sweeps him with feelings, particularly shame. With the feeling of shame we can either assume it is caused by regret or embarrassment. In this case, shame is caused by regret because the narrator later writes how Long, long I shall rue thee,/ Too deeply to tell . This ultimately shows how he loved her so much that it will take much time before he can completely get over her, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Happiness is individual and personal, but the actions that people take to achieve happiness effect everyone in society. Happiness is available to all people at different levels, with clear objective standards at its most basic levels but with only subjective standards at its higher levels. This comparison is important, as it serves as a concrete example of more desirable pleasures. Humans mental pleasures are also dependent on their respective faculties. The higher the person s faculties, the higher more required for the person to be happy. This individual quality of happiness is therefore subjective as the two people can achieve the same understood level of happiness with significantly different mental cultivations.
