HIV is spread through certain bodily fluids from an infected person, including: * Blood * Breast milk * Semen * Vaginal fluids It can be transmitted through unprotected sexual contact, sharing needles or syringes, and from mother to child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding.
