Eassy On Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers Of Bangladesh
Short Essay on Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers of Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a land of rivers. The economic condition of Bangladesh is mostly connected with
her rivers. The rivers of Bangladesh are undoubtedly wide. But they shrink in size for
insufficiency of wither in dry seasons. With the heavy rainfall in the rainy season they become full
to the brim and look terrible. The Padma, the meghna, the jamuna and the karnaphuli are the
principal rivers of Bangladesh. Besides there s, there are other small rivers of no less importance.
All three rivers flowing through different districts of Bangladesh fall into the Bay of Bengal. In the
rainy season these rivers swell to the brim and sometimes overflow their banks and inundate the
adjoining fields. They then look like the vast sheet of water all around. Bangladesh is an
agricultural country. Her river makes her soil fertile by depositions the silt carried by them of
the land. Paddy and jute are the main crops of Bangladesh. Irrigation is essential for the bumper
growth of these crops. So the water of these rivers is used for the purpose of irrigation by means
of power pumps or by digging canals. It is, therefore, evident that the economic condition of the
cultivators largely depends on rivers. Many kinds of fish are around in the rivers of Bangladesh.
These rivers are an inexhaustible source of supply of fish to her people. The fisherman of
Bangladesh earns their livelihood by fishing in these rivers. They are entirely dependent

Shiva Siddhanta Essay
Shiva Siddhanta
Founder and History of Movement
Occasionally such an individual is born who, by following his tradition correctly and completely,
approaches perfection and becomes a symbol to the world. Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami
was such a man, a living example of awakening and wisdom, a leader recognized worldwide as one
of Hinduism s foremost ministers. Gurudeva Suvaya Subramuniyaswami was the foremost exponent
and teacher of Saiva Siddhanta in the West, a self realized Western spiritual master of an age old
Saivite tradition. The name Subramuniya is from Sanskrit and is formed from subhra meaning,
light; intuition, and muni, silent sage. Ya means restraint; religious meditation. Thus Subramuniya

Yogaswami s infinite compassion never ceased to impress.
For over five decades Subramuniyaswami, the loyal student of Yogaswami and affectionately
known as Gurudeva, has taught Hinduism to Hindus and seekers from all faiths as his teacher
had before him. In the line of succession, he was the 162nd Jagadacharya (world teacher) of the
Nandinatha Sampradaya s Kailasa Parampara (lineage of teachers) and Guru Mahasannidhanam of
Kauai Aadheenam (also known as Kauai s Hindu Monastery), a 458 acre temple monastery
complex on Hawaii s Garden Island.. The monks of Kauai Aadheenam live their cherished vision,
following a contemplative and joyous existence, building a jewel like white granite Siva temple,
meditating together in the hours before dawn, then working, while rainbows fill the sky.
Two traditional Saivite Hindu temples are located on the monastery s 458 acres, Kadavul
Temple and the new San Marga Iraivan Temple, a massive white granite Chola style temple
currently being carved in Bangalore, India, and whose stones are now being shipped to Hawaii
and are now being assembled here on Kauai. Right in the midst of the monastery complex is the
renowned Kadavul Nataraja Temple where an exquisite six foot tall, 250 year old bronze image of
Lord Nataraja is enshrined. Hindu pilgrims have been coming to the temple from around the world
for over 30 years, to worship and seek audience and worship with the Guru Mahasannidhanam

National Debt and Budget Deficit Essay
Much like a person or a corporation, the United States government uses money for its operations;
meaning that it has both income and expenses. The income of the United States is derived from
various taxes and fees and the expenses are what the U.S. government pays out for national defense,
highways, social welfare programs, and various other programs.
In an election year, the average citizen is apt to hear a great deal of talk about income, taxes,
spending, and more importantly budget deficits and the national debt. Given all of the talk, one
may come to think that budget deficits and the national debt are one in the same. While the two do
go hand in hand, it is important to understand that they are two separate things. ... Show more

Of course, when we, as individuals, borrow money and we pay interest on it, which increases our
debt.
The U.S. is no different. In fiscal year 2007, the U.S. paid out $430 billion in interest. This
exorbitant interest expense continues to increase the U.S. annual deficit, which in turn, continues to
increase the national debt that now stands at over $9.5 trillion (Hall, 2008).
As anyone who has experienced financial trouble, especially with credit cards, it is the interest on
the debt that creates the biggest problem. For the U.S., the only way to reduce the interest is to
reduce the debt. The only to reduce the debt is to begin paying it off, and the only way to pay off
the debt is to sustain significant surpluses.
The only way to sustain a surplus is to spend less than one receives. On an individual plane, this is
certainly feasible. However, on a national plane, in order to maintain a surplus is to reduce
government spending and increase taxes. No other solutions are possible. References

The Impact Of The Black Panther Party For Self Defence
The Black Panther Party for Self Defence, later renamed The Black Panther Party was created by
Huey Newton and Bobby Seale in 1966 in Oakland. The purpose of the party was to protect
minorities, primarily African Americans, by patrolling neighborhoods looking for instances of
police brutality. The party was created after the ruling of Brown vs. Board of Education of
Topeka because economic and social inequality continued and limited the opportunities African
Americans have. This along with the assassination of Malcolm X in 1965 caused the party to
form. One of the most impactful and memorable acts by the party was in May 1967 when
members of the group and Bobby Seale marched into the California State Legislature in
Sacramento, fully armed. They were protecting the Mulford Act which was a bill that would
make it illegal in California to carry weapons in public places and the party believed it to be a
move to impede them from being able to combat police brutality. But later that same year when
Huey Newton was arrested after he exchanged gunfire with police and an officer was killed they
gained their national attention. They moved from being an Oakland based organization to having
chapters in 48 states and had support groups in at least a dozen countries. They influenced the
beliefs and practices of Australian activist and the Vietnamese National Liberation Front. The
Vanguard Party in the Bahamas very closely mirrored the party in their uniforms, ideology and their

Evaluation Of A Use Case Analysis
6.0 USE CASE ANALYSIS
The Use Case analysis is a method which focuses highly on the systems functional Requirements
and when completed will consist of a Use Case Model. The model consists of actors, Use cases,
use case scenarios and other criteria which helps represents the use case. Within a use case Model
there are many relationships (generalization, include and extends) which help represent the flow
and functionality of the system and its entity s.
A Use case describes the behaviour of a process within a system and usually has relationships with
actors (external sources who interact with system). A Use Case scenario is identifying the specific
executions carried out during a Use Case and these help create and gather requirements.

Asset and Builders Square
Kmart Inc. and Builders Square Case
1. What happens if Kmart s managers decide NOT to accept the Leonard Green offer?
If Kmarts managers decide not to accept the offer they become limited in their options:
в—Џ They can continue to wait for a better bid, but they have struggled to get any one interested
in their company as it is. If they decide to turn down Green, but end up not securing another buyer,
they would be forced to return to Green who could offer a much lower bid because Kmart would
now be left out of options.
в—Џ It was also projected that Builders Square only had enough cash and working capital to
continue its operations for one more year without any other changes. So their other option is to try

As a result of Kmart guaranteeing its subsidiaries leases, the value of this merger depends not
only on the cash received, but also the credit worthiness and skill of the buyer. If the newly
merged company fails, Kmart would be in a much worse position to pay off the debt then if they
had just ran a nonprofitable Builders Square.
5. Leonard Green has put together some projections on the Builders Square/Hech combo. Assess
those projections in light of your industry analysis.
в—Џ According to exhibit 1 the Home Improvement market has been growing at a steady pace of
about 3.5% for the past 5 years. A lot of this growth steams from the do it yourself consumer
market which is the primary target for the Builders Square and Hechinger Co. merger. Although
Home Depot and Lowe s dominate the bulk of the home improvement market, only 6% of Home
Depot s sales come from building materials and related products compared to the combined 3.4%
for Builder s Square and Hechinger Co. As seen in exhibit 10, the Combined Projections for
Proposed Builders Square Hechinger Merger, Green projects an increased gross profit margin as
well as EBITDA assuming a 2% growth rate for the combined firm. Their profits do struggle in the
beginning due to an increasing amount of revenues lost to competitors along with their high count
of closing stores. After year 3 the effects of competitor openings and store closings levels off with
only a 1% change simulating what appears to be the end

Indian Wedding Essay
The Indian Wedding Diary
A wedding is a lot more than just an occasion. It is that special day when two souls in love, vow
to protect and be with each other forever. In most cultures of the world, weddings are a closed
family affair and just a one day celebration, at the most, however, an Indian wedding is way beyond
that. Have you ever been to an Indian wedding before? If you haven t, then you for sure are
missing out on something spectacular. An Indian wedding is much more than just the bride and the
groom getting married; it is a celebration of two families becoming one and is definitely not a
closed family affair.
Desi weddings are a gala galore
An Indian wedding, or a Desi wedding, is a joyous and lavish celebration with exuberant crowds,
participating in numerous ceremonies for almost a week. But the flip side of this extravaganza
is that months of preparation the two families deal with and the fact that these weddings are an
expensive affair, often turns this celebration into a stressful process for them, as they have to
take care of every minute detail for it to be picture perfect. After all, who wouldn t wish to have a
wedding that is perfect in every sense, not only for the bride and the groom, but for all the guests
that put in special efforts to join for this larger than life celebration of yours.

African Influence On Hip Hop
Reggie Garcia
November 2nd, 2016
Music of Africa
African Influence in Hip Hop In the 1970s the shockwave that would be known as hip hop rose
from the economic situation of New York City, especially the black and Latino neighborhoods.
However, while hip hop music was born in the Bronx, it both is part of and speaks to a long line
of black American and African cultural traditions. Many observers also make a connection between
rap and West African griot tradition, the art of wandering storytellers known for their knowledge of
local settings and superior vocal skills. Additionally, rhymed verses are an important part of African
American culture in both the public and private realms. A great influence of rap and hip hop which

This African term is defined as rapping or fast pace speaking. This can involve rhyming patterns
or jokingly clowning or making fun of one another. This is where America gets the term
Roasting from and many know it as verbal battle between individuals mostly for entertainment
and fun. For its musical grooves, early hip hop incorporated elements of the party based sound
system subculture popular at the time in Jamaica. DJ Kool Herc also brought a form of the
verbal art of toasting to his parties. Jamaican DJs excited crowds by making up short raps to the
beat of music, adding vibes to the party. The toasts often referred to people in the crowd or to
events at the party itself. Dodd took rapping to Jamaica and Herc brought toasting back to the
United States, where it quickly became known as rap, the verbal side of hip hop music.
Afrika Bam Bambaataa fused the R B music of James Brown, the funk of George Clinton, and
even the sometimes synthetic and cold European electronic music of groups like Kraftwerk to
create songs like Planet Rock and Looking for the Perfect Beat, and helped deepen the musical
roots of hip hop as a

unfair treatment of their workers into their production of their products. These corporations

At powerful corporations like, Disney and Apple they practice the idea of harsh conditions,
hours and child labor and it needs to be addressed. Disney relentlessly pushes their workers in
these sweatshops in foreign companies to over work themselves, this includes children working
10 13 hours a day. In several countries, speaking is not allowed while working for those long,
exhausting hours. Then, the workers usually are paid at least 40 cents under the minimum
wage. A drastic amount of children faint on the job, and pass out from exhaustion. At Apple,
they practice similar ideas from Disney. Nonetheless, they under pay their workers a decent
amount and overwork them day in and day out. Apple has been inserted into scandals over
people committing suicide after, their countless hours and lack of enthusiasm in their
workplace. A few people may argue in order for Apple to produce its product at the correct rate
for people to obtain the product, they need people to work these countless hours and they may
argue that it is cheap for Disney and Apple to pay the workers like they do. The companies may
need work to be done, but they should be held accountable and pay their workers more for their

Online Customer Reviews Is An Essential Component Of...
According to Internet World Stats, there are 3,611,375,813 Internet users around the world as of
June 30, 2016. Because of this, online customer reviews have become a vital component of
businesses and are considered by many as a form of social proof where people take the word of
others as proof that a particular product or service is valuable and worth getting.
When a potential customer conducts online research about a product or service from a business
with many great reviews, it makes it much easier for them to not only trust the company but also
purchase those goods because of the social proof shared online.
On the contrary, businesses with a shortage of great reviews don t get the benefit of the doubt from
potential customers. Worse yet, having zero reviews is just as detrimental as having negative
reviews.
With this in mind, it s crucial that Experts Exchange members do their best to get their existing
customers to share their reviews online as a form of social proof for potential customers.
Try Asking It Never Hurts
If you re new to getting reviews, it may seem a bit awkward to ask customers to assess your
business and share their opinions online about the products or services purchased. But don t let
that stop you. Like the old adage goes, ask and you shall receive.
So instead of feeling hesitant, you need to just simply ask your customers to leave a review. In
parallel, you must also train your staff to make it a point to ask customers for a review as

Portrayal Of Female Sexuality By Bram Stoker s Dracula
Bram Stoker s 1897 Dracula is a novel that condemns liberated female sexuality, presenting it as
volatile and threatening to the established patriarchal order of the Victorian Era. By examining the
varying level of sexuality among Stoker s female characters and their narrative outcomes, the novel
s attitude that female sexuality is hostile becomes apparent.
In Castle Dracula, Harker meets three vampiric women whose monstrosity is presented as
inseparable from their eroticism. Describing their fangs, Jonathan Harker writes I could see in the
moonlight the moisture shining on the scarlet lips and on the red tongue as it lapped the white
sharp teeth (52). Here, fangs serve as signs of these women s inhumanity and their carnality, this ...

In extreme contrast to the lecherous she beasts met by her husband in Transylvania, Mrs
Johnathan Harker epitomises the Victorian notion of a good woman. Rather than occupy the
role of a physical lover, Mina is a maternal figure, nurturing all her friends with an innate and
instinctive tenderness. To the bereaved Lord Arthur Godalming she opens her arms
unthinkingly (275), resting his head on her shoulder as though it were that of a baby that some
day may lie on my bosom (275). Despite this simile endowing Mina with power over Godalming
it is an acceptable power for a woman to have, that possessed by mothers over their babes, rather
than that by dominatrices over their victims. At the same time as being femininely caring, she is
also intelligent and sensible, perceived as typically masculine qualities by the Victorians.
Described by Van Helsing on more than one occasion of having a man s brain (281, 404) while
also having a woman s heart (281), Mina is rendered virtually void of any sexual desire or
attraction. Her womanliness centres on gentle compassion and the manliness of her mind ensures
she is too sensible to give in to any subconscious eroticism. She alone of the novel s female
characters survives, and ends happily married with one son.

Identify and discuss the design elements that you incorporated into your bridge.
Design Elements: While building this bridge, the first design element, was the deck design. We
took around one horizontal length of vertical popsicle sticks and lined them side by side, and
repeated. Later we connected them together with a horizontal popsicle stick. I then took two lines
and placed them ontop of eachother to create a flat surface. This way it will carry a lot of weight,
and it will also run smoothly. After this I created trusses to put on the side, so that the weight would
be evenly distributed amongst the bridge, instead of all the weight on one part. This would help stop
the bridge from immediately bending once weights were put into the bucket. To make the trusses I
had to take popsicle sticks and glue them into a triangle shape, and then glue them together from
the bottom. This way they wouldn t break apart. I then doubled them up so that it would be able
to sustain more weight. Under the bridge I placed a lot of beams, so that the bridge would hold

The Transformation of Procter Gamble into a Sustainable Serial Innovator

It is June 6, 2010. A few minutes before a business meeting in California A.G. Lafley, Procter

Lafley underwrites the strategy that Jager pursued. He, too, feels the need for more innovation. And
also in LafleyВґs mind the new global product based organization structure is the right one in order
to get more advantage out of innovations (see Att. 1 for P GВґs organization structure, and Att. 2

Lafley coins the phrase: The consumer is boss . P G makes sustainable organic growth the priority

change towards an open innovation system is probably the most revolutionary one. It is based
on the following simple logic: P G has about 9000 employees in R D working in 150 scientific

Universal Health Care
In 2007, more than 45 million Americans did not have health care insurance. The United States is
the only industrialized major nation in the world without health care, and the debate about changing
that has become a popular issue recently. The sharp difference between the two sides is a
difference in ethical values; those for universal health caredesire to see the government help others,
mainly the lower class, and those who do not, wish that private companies be allowed to continue
taking advantage of the status quo for profit. In this paper, I will argue why the Government should
put in place The Universal Healthcare Systems.[1]

Private insurance companies can inflate the price of their service if they desire. A universal
healthcare system prevents that because it is run by the government.[2]
I personally understand health care cost, and spending is a major concern for our society. Many
governments around the world have established all embracing health care, which takes the
burden of health care expenses off of private businesses or individuals through pooling of
financial possibility. There are tons of arguments for universal health care, and related health care
practices. Health care is an important part of health systems, and therefore, it often accounts for
one of the largest areas of high spending for both governments and individuals all over the world.
For example, medical debt is now a leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States. A
policy should be created to help lower the cost of health care.2
One way that would help improve health care spending is to create a universal health care to
make sure everyone is covered. By creating this, it will help decrease the number of lobbyers
which in turn will cut government funding to those special interest groups. There are 45 million
Americans uninsured and according to CNN report, 45,000 Americans die each year due to lack
of affordable health care. So by creating a universal health care system, we can be sure to expect
to see a longer lifespan for our population as is the case in countries that

Plastic Surgery Ethics Essay
Plastic surgery is a rapidly evolving field spread around the world. Plastic surgery deals with human
appearance and is becoming a more profitable business throughout the years. It is divided into two
sections, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. An ethical dilemma that corresponds to plastic
surgery is the loss of human values patients encounter once they undergo surgery. Also, individuals
that depend on cosmetic surgery detract from patients that are in urgent need of these procedures.
The replacement of misleading values, pride and, joy through surgery creates unrealistic dreams for
patients. The patient and doctor relationship created under these circumstances is viewed as a
therapeutic purpose due to the feeling of being healed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The abuse of plastic surgery over the years has gotten out of control. Due to the high demand for
fillers, laser, and Botox, physicians perform cosmetic procedures that are non surgical with no
training. Society has unofficially banned wrinkles, fat deposits, and sun damaged skin. An ethical
concern for patients and healthcare providers is that these so called problems should be enhanced
and dealt with rather than result in aesthetic surgery. Although body image is important to certain
people, the outer image does not define a human being. The real value of a person cannot be
reduced to his/her appearance, and medicine as an art, should feel the obligation to resist these
modern ideologies and should attempt to help people get a more authentic attitude about
themselves. (Mousavi, 2010) If a person is unhappy with himself or herself, they should rely on a
more natural solution. Aesthetic surgery should only be an option for people that have suffered an
accident or born with a deformity. Having small lips, tiny wrinkles, beauty marks, or dark hair is
not a deformity, they re simply things the body produces over the years. An

Essay on Kate Chopin and Edna Pontellier as Feminists
Kate Chopin and Edna Pontellier as Feminists
Kate Chopin is known for her literary works that depict culture in New Orleans, Louisiana, and of
women s struggles for freedom. She was born Katherine O Flaherty in Missouri, and later married
Oscar Chopin in 1870. He was a Creole cotton trader from New Orleans. Later they moved to a
plantation near Cloutierville, Louisiana, where her husband died in 1882. She returned to Missouri
with her six children, and began her writing career. She began writing mostly local color stories
that earned her consideration as a contributor to Southern regional literature. She later began
writing stories about women s need for independence and capacity for passion, such as The Story
of an Hour and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the women in America were advancing, those in state of Louisiana were not. At the time
the state operated under a different legal system than the rest of the country. Under the Louisiana
Civil Code, article 1388, a woman was still the legal property of her husband, and the male had
absolute (legal) control over the family. It also said, in article 1124, married women, babies, and
the mentally ill were incompetent in making a legal contract. (Herman, 53) Wives were
possessions to be cared for and displayed. They often brought a dowry or inherited wealth to a
marriage.
Like most of Chopin s stories, The Awaking is set in the late 19th century Creole society of the
New Orleans area. It is the story of a young woman s struggle to become herself. It concludes that
the complete freedom and happiness that she yearns for is not available to her in socially
appointed roles as a wife and mother. Edna Pontellier is married to her husband, Mr.Pontellier, a
person whom she had married without love as an excuse (McQuade, 1661). The story opens
during summer vacation at Grand Isle. This environment allows Edna to explore her own
personality. It is on the island that Edna begins her awakening to life. She first realizes her
dissatisfaction with her life. Then she learns the pleasure of swimming. It is on Grand Isle that she
begins to feel sexual attraction to Robert, although her awakening to sexuality occurs months later.

Greek Root Astr
Over 60% of the words in the English language contain a Greek or Latin root ( Online English

Children who work in factories and sweatshops to make rugs or clothing do not receive the proper
education that is necessary for them to advance their level of employment. This can lead them to a

can consist of massive heat, large amount of infestation, or unsafe equipment can not only causes
harm or illness, but can eventually lead to death. There are no children in the world who would
want to work in an environment that can end their life at any given moment due to improper safety

such as cell phones, laptops, carpet, and clothing are unintentionally providing these children with
their low wages of sub one dollar an hour. However this often occurs because of a lack of
knowledge people have regarding child labor around the world. Also the endorsements that these

Freud And The Ego Ideal Research Paper
According to Freud, the ego ideal is the source of narcissism that relates to repression and the
unconscious, topics explored in his other theories. In this essay, he discusses the ego ideal and
the actual ego. The ego ideal is the representation of what one wants to become. It is the perfect,
idealized version of one s self. The actual ego is the reality of that person. The ego ideal
ultimately serves the pleasure principle. One of the opposing drives Freud presents is the drive
for pleasure. An argument Freud presents in his essay is where does self serving for pleasure end
and fulfilment of responsibilities begin? Our impulses drive us to nourish and protect ourselves.

His ideas of actual love relate to narcissism in regards to the understanding of love. In other
words, love and narcissism seem to go hand in hand. The concept of narcissism was developed in
part by studying psychosis and, pragmatically, narcissism explained the intractability of
psychosis to psychoanalysis (Sharpless, 211). Sharpless uses Freud s theories of narcissism to
not only report the facts, but to use his theories in action. Where does love come from? Where
does narcissism come from? In this essay, Sharpless states the love derives from narcissism, an
idea that is supported by Freud s theories. The use of Freud in this essay concerning romantic love
leads to the conclusion that love comes from the unconscious. Our ego believes that it is
controlling our thoughts and actions. However, it is likely that the unconscious makes the ego
believe this and instead, controls what we think, say, and do without our conscious recognition. If
love is connected to narcissism, Sharpless theorizes that actual love is connected to pain for the
lover. Coming to a happy love and working through the impediments to reach such a state entails
the gaining of self knowledge and a continual modification of one s ego to a state that is likely
commensurable with the lover s (Sharpless, 223).

Rose For Emily Sympathy
William Faulkner s short story, A Rose for Emily, is depicted through the several encounters and
accounts of a group of townspeople during the period of her life. Although it is not specifically
stated, it can be inferred that the narrators are not of one particular gender or age category, but
are a large combination of diverse bystanders compiled to recount the notorious events of the life
of Emily Grierson. Additionally, it is implied that the narrators are Caucasian men and women

On the contrary, the rose symbolizes the pity and sympathy in which the author feels for the
protagonist as the story progresses and reveals the tragic incidents that have permeated her life
with solemn misery. In the era in which this work was originally created, it was common to
offer a rose to one who has endured great suffering to display their emotions of sorrow and
condolence. Therefore, the title itself unveils that Emily might partake on a journey of
heartbreak and bitterness and would be the epitome of a valid recipient of rose in that period. A
logical reason as to why the title is not A Rose for Miss Emily is that it might reveal more of the
story than Faulkner had originally intended. When addressing the protagonist as Miss, the reader
immediately knows that she is a maiden, without a husband and maybe without a true love.
However, when Emily is simply referred to by her first name, the audience is given broader
horizon and a greater amount of space to imagine how the details of the story will unfold. Thus,
one does not know whether she is single, married, divorced, widowed, a mother, a grandmother, and

Analysis Of The Article Gop Fox Circus Act By Reed...
In the article GOP Fox Circus Act , Reed Richardson argues that although both the GOP and Fox
have conservative political values, they are ultimately harmful to each other s agendas because
of their differing political goals. Both organizations are lacking popularity in recent years so
they are struggling to find new ways to gain an audience. The GOP wants to find a way to get
their ideas to a wide variety of people, whereas Fox is promoting more liberal views to increase
the ratings of their programs. On one hand, the GOP s reputation is hurt by the inaccuracy of Fox
s reporting. On the other hand, Fox is tied down by the conservative views of the GOP, thus
restraining Fox from gaining a larger audience. Journalist Reed Richardson wrote this article for
The National, a liberal newspaper, in 2013, so the events and issues that he is speaking of are still
relevant to this day. Due to the differences of political views between the author and the subject
matter, there is plenty of room for biased statements and opinions. Does Richardson provide enough
evidence of the harmful effects of the Fox and GOP relationship? Richardson clearly and
meticulously establishes the problems that both organizations face in the pursuit of their political
goals with the use of statistics, reliable sources, and thorough evaluation of events; however
Richardson constantly provides the reader with a biased argument when discussing the current state

Theme Of Light And Dark Imagery In Oedipus The King
Sophocles masterful work, Oedipus the King, exemplifies the significance of imagery within
literature. The perpetual presence of light and dark imagery effectively strengthens the dramatic
aspects of catharsis, anagnorisis and mimesis. These factors continually impose the audience to
establish a personal connection with the literary work. As an individual, Oedipus possesses the
unfortunate attribute of hubris; his ego ultimately causes his tragic demise and convincingly elicits
catharsis, an emotional outcry from the spectators. His sight frequently sways due to his sentiments

Me or any man who lives in light (Sophocles 22). Within this quotation, the light metaphorically
exemplifies knowledge and principle, while the darkness establishes the presence of ignorance
and deception. Oedipus does not suggest that Tiraeus, a blind male, is incapable of hurting him,
but rather, that the seer s falsehood cannot damage his stature. Oedipus arrogance renders him to
the point where he is incapable of interpreting the truth of his origins and profoundly desires to
maintain his authority as the sovereign of Thebes. Consequently, his conduct incites catharsis
from the audience as they witness the gradual collapse of a prominent, dramatic figure.
Sophocles additionally utilises imagery to reinforce his clutch on the sentiments of the audience,
during Oedipus revelation to the truth of his origins. In agony and grief, he states, I am deserted,
dark, and where is sorrow stumbling? Whence flits that voice so near? Where, demon, will you
drive me (Sophocles 72). Oedipus exposes his vulnerability and sorrowful nature, as he learns that
his ignorance blinds his sense of practicality. Sophocles utilises the terms, deserted (Sophocles 72)
and dark (Sophocles 72) to exemplify the monarch s impression of blindness and abandonment
after his horrific actions. The presence of dark imagery effectively forces an evocation of emotion
from the audience as they helplessly look upon the tragic hero s fate. With the utilization of light and

DEFENDING IN FOOTBALL
Defence as a system, is under rated by many coaches in youth and professional football. According
to a survey conducted by students of National Institute of Physical Education in Lleida, Spain,
individual and collective defence practice is generally occupying less than 15 % of all training
sessions (Wein, 2004). It is not surprising to see that the players who win individual awards at the
end of every season is either a goal scoring machine or a midfield maestro. Although there have
been few exceptions (Fabio Cannavaro, Franz Beckenbauer, Lev Yashin), the trend of goal scorers
or goal makers being valued over goal defenders continues. The game is based on attacking and
defending, yet it is difficult to make people understand how significant the art of defending is. A
good attack, like a good defence, decreases the number of losses a club racks up, but defence
provides a more powerful statistical explanation for why teams lose Anderson and Sally, 2013, p.
119). Between 2001/02 and 2010/2011, the following information was recorded
Table 1: Goals (Scored and Conceded) in terms of success and failure Increased Wins Reduced
Defeats
10 Goals more scored2.301.76
10 Goals less conceded2.162.35

Illegal Immigrants Should Be Illegal
Research Paper
In the world today, Ten to thirteen million illegal immigrants live in America (Watkins). According
to the recent study, The Percentage of immigrants living in the U.S.A. is almost fourteen percent
(Wooldridge). This problem is an issue to the U.S. and will be an issue to all of the nations
including europe, asia, etcetera. if it is not fixed. Reason is that the immigrants get more
government help or welfare some may call it, than the registered citizens of America. Studies show
that 51 percent of homes led by immigrants are getting some kind of government help (Gomez).
When there is help able to use then it should be used by the citizens of that country. All immigration
needs to be controlled so anything tragic won t happen anymore.
Immigration needs to be illegal because most of the Illegal immigrants don t pay taxes and get
government help. Studies from Washington times show that 700,000 illegal immigrants work
and pay individual taxes but there are about four million that do not pay taxes or work (stephen).
In the world today, Illegal immigrants have not paid taxes and it has added up to a little over
four billion dollars (North). This is a problem and needs to be fixed, as immigrants are living here
for free basically. For example, If the Immigrants paid income taxes the U.S.A. would bring in a lot
more revenue (Hrenchir). if they did pay taxes the U.S. would not have a problem with them.

Femoroacetabular Impingement Research Paper
Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is a condition where the bones of the acetabulum are
abnormally shaped, making them not fit together properly. This can be due to irregular growths of
the femur and or the iliac spine. This abnormality, then causes the hip bones to rub together, leading
to damage within the joint. There are three types of FAI: pincer, cam and combined impingement.
Pincer impingement occurs because of an extra bony growth that extends over the normal rim of
the acetabulum. Conversely, cam impingement is formed when the femoral head is not round and
cannot rotate smoothly inside the acetabulum. Combined impingement is a combination of pincer
and cam (Figure 1). The causes of FAI typically relate to abnormal formation of the... Show more

Essay On My Vacation
Everyone has gone on some form of vacation in their lives. I have gone on many vacations that
have been very hectic, but the cruise that I went on might have been the craziest. It all started
with how we were getting to the port in South Carolina. We couldn t fit me, my younger brother,
my younger step brother, my older step brother, my older step sister, my aunt, and my stepmom
all into my stepmom s tiny BMW, so we had to rent a big van. When we got to the car rental
place, it turns out that the company had accidentally gave the van we rented to someone else.
After my stepmom did a little bit of yelling, we got an even bigger van for less than the other
one. Next comes the 13 hour car ride. My 7 year old step brother, Max, wouldn t sit still the
whole ride and kept screaming at his I Pad every time he lost his game. My 10 year old brother,
Ryan, was sitting right next to Max screaming with him like he was still 7. My step sister Emma
and I were very annoyed and tired, so we both took about 3 melatonin gummies and tried to fall
asleep. That s when the car ride went bad. My brothers were being loud the... Show more content on

Examples Of Face Negotiation Theory
OPTION #2 THEORY EXPLORATIONS2
Option #2 Theory Explorations
What do money, time and face have in common? They are all something that people try to save.
Some cultures in the world are focused on saving money, some on saving time. Yet, unlike money
or time, there exists a universal desire among all peoples to save face. This saving of face during a
conflict and it s intercultural understanding is known as the Face Negotiation Theory. The Face
Negotiation Theory has evolved since its first inception; however, it continues to be highly
applicable with broad applications worldwide.
The Face Negotiation Theory Defined The Face Negotiation Theory was proposed by researcher
Stella Ting Toomey in 1985 Oetzel Ting Toomey, 2003). It is based on the concept that individuals
of every culture found in the world care about how their face (or self image) is presented and it
seeks to explain the reason individuals of different cultures manage conflicts which occur in
different ways (Oetzel Ting Toomey, 2003). In conflicts, a person s face may be under threat and
this causes an individual to want to save or restore their face. The theory calls this behavior

Therefore, Ting Toomey expanded upon concepts in Goffman s theory. She defined face as a
positive social self image which occurred in both relationships and network contexts. Ting Toomey
developed a theory (described above) which incorporated multiple contexts which included filtering
the theory through the perspective of the Asian culture (Communication Studies, n.d.). In fact, face
is a metaphor with Chinese origins. It seems it is a combination of the Chinese lien which
represents the internal moral face which is applicable to shame as well as honor issues (Brown
Levinson, 1978). In addition, mien tzu represents the external face which is applicable to social
recognition and power (Brown Levinson,

The Dyson Air Multiplier Essay
1. The Dyson Air Multiplier
1.1. Introduction
In October 2009, the british designer and innovator, Sir James Dyson best known for his line of
vacuum cleaners with cyclone technology launched a new product onto the market, a desktop fan
called the Dyson Air Multiplier, (Financial Times, 2009). This report gives a short description of
this innovation and explains in what way it is innovative. Next, its position in the product/service
/system spectrum will be explained and finally the potential for the widespread diffusion of this
innovation will be discussed.
1.2. A short description of the innovation, and its innovative aspects
The first electric fan was invented by wheeler in 1886, consisting of two blades, without the
protective cage, run by an electric motor (Carmack, 2009). Over the years, with the advancement in
technology, fans have become much lighter, safer, and more efficient. However, even though there
are many styles and sizes to choose from, the product s architecture has not changed significantly
(figure 1 and 2 ).
According to James Dyson, the problem with design as such is that the fan chops the air and
produce an uneven air flow, causing buffeting which people usually do not find pleasant; in
addition, conventional fans are unsafe for young children and difficult to clean (Etherington, 2009).
Unsatisfied with these flaws, along with the inspiration from another of his innovations, the
Airblade hand dryer, Dyson created the Air

The European Integration On Different Aspects And Levels...
Historically, attempts at unifying Europe can be traced back as far as 1464 when, after the fall of
Constantinople, King George of Podrebady suggested that a league of Christian Nations should be
formed (Wen, 2013). However, it was only after 1945 that the process for European integration, a
process whereby sovereign states partially relinquish, or pool, national sovereignty to maximize
their relative power and interest began (Kenealy et al., 2015). The theorization European integration
started within the political subfield of International Relations (Pollack, 2001). However, the
European Unionis a complex and unique international organization. Are International Relations (IR)
theories able to account for the origin, development and future of European integration?
We will argue in this essay that IR theories account for European integration on different aspects
and levels. Although Realism offers an interesting interpretation for the genesis of integration,
European Integration is better explained through Liberalism. Howbeit, the shortcomings in their
assumptions lead us to the thought that Constructivism gives a deeper account for European
integration.
Realism is one of the prevailing IR theories. Still, in the context of European integration, it has
struggled to tie in its assumptions with what caused integration and how cooperation has developed.
However, several thinkers have given a realist account of European integration. Integration is an
exceptional event

Effects Of Foreign Direct Investment On Agricultural...
ABSTRACT
This research investigates and empirically examines the effects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
on agricultural output and economic growth in Kenya. The methodology involves estimating an
economic growth model using panel data of the period from 1990 to 2013. By applying the OLS
method, the results indicate that FDIhas a negative effect on the economy overall, while combining
with other factors such as labour, GCF and exports. However, on its own, FDI s prove to have a
positive but insignificant effect on GDP.
CHAPTER ONE
Introduction Statement
Claims that the Foreign Direct Investment in Agriculture in Kenya have brought about many
benefits as opposed to the vices are wrong. In his book, Multinational Corporations in Political
Economy of Kenya, Langdon investigates multinational Corporations performances in Kenya in
the mid 1970 s and concluded that their impact was overwhelmingly negative to the economy of
Kenya. He argued that the MNC s in Kenya after independence to date became powerful
instruments for profit making, a great deal of which profit was repatriated. They produced fewer
spread effects in form of employment or linkage than local entrepreneurs would spur.
1.0 Introduction
Agriculture is the beating hub of the Kenyan economy. The agriculture sector is the single largest
sector of the economy accounting for about one quarter of GDP. About 18 per cent of growth in
GDP in 2012 was from the sector, up from 7.5 per cent recorded in 2011. The sector

Many people believe the Boy Scouts of America, BSA program is blemished due to recent events.
However, I think the Boy Scout program is a great thing. This program gave me various life long

my personal experiences by allowing me to understand the benefits of leadership, teamwork, and
improve communication.
The BSA is designed to foster leaders, service, teamwork and communication to build stronger
communities. I defined these terms in a manner that describes the actions and essence of words. A

A prime example was when I lead a group of thirty seven people to complete my Eagle Scout
project. For this project, I directed the group to form a seventeen by twenty three foot pebbled

taught me how to think critically, to organize blue prints, investigate city ordinances, calculate
the yards of materials needed, and evaluate the depth of the anchors to avoid hitting underground
gas lines and plumbing by talking to City Public Service. Yes, of course the program also
reinforces safety. So again, all scouts must learn to look for signs of heat stroke, dehydration and
figure out where the local hospitals are in case of an emergency. In hindsight, I value the
importance of safety because I had to really watch the youth to make sure none of them cut off a
finger or a limb while working with power tools. In short, the program teaches scouts to value

The income of the United States is derived from various taxes and fees and the expenses are what the U.S. government pays out for national defense, highways, social welfare programs, and various other programs. In an election year, the average citizen is apt to hear a great deal of talk about income, taxes, spending, and more importantly budget deficits and the national debt. Given all of the talk, one may come to think that budget deficits and the national debt are one in the same. While the two do go hand in hand, it is important to understand that they are two separate things. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Of course, when we, as individuals, borrow money and we pay interest on it, which increases our debt. The U.S. is no different. In fiscal year 2007, the U.S. paid out $430 billion in interest. This exorbitant interest expense continues to increase the U.S. annual deficit, which in turn, continues to increase the national debt that now stands at over $9.5 trillion (Hall, 2008). As anyone who has experienced financial trouble, especially with credit cards, it is the interest on the debt that creates the biggest problem. For the U.S., the only way to reduce the interest is to reduce the debt. The only to reduce the debt is to begin paying it off, and the only way to pay off the debt is to sustain significant surpluses. The only way to sustain a surplus is to spend less than one receives. On an individual plane, this is certainly feasible. However, on a national plane, in order to maintain a surplus is to reduce government spending and increase taxes. No other solutions are possible. • 6. The Impact Of The Black Panther Party For Self Defence The Black Panther Party for Self Defence, later renamed The Black Panther Party was created by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale in 1966 in Oakland. The purpose of the party was to protect minorities, primarily African Americans, by patrolling neighborhoods looking for instances of police brutality. The party was created after the ruling of Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka because economic and social inequality continued and limited the opportunities African Americans have. This along with the assassination of Malcolm X in 1965 caused the party to form. One of the most impactful and memorable acts by the party was in May 1967 when members of the group and Bobby Seale marched into the California State Legislature in Sacramento, fully armed. They were protecting the Mulford Act which was a bill that would make it illegal in California to carry weapons in public places and the party believed it to be a move to impede them from being able to combat police brutality. But later that same year when Huey Newton was arrested after he exchanged gunfire with police and an officer was killed they gained their national attention. They moved from being an Oakland based organization to having chapters in 48 states and had support groups in at least a dozen countries. They influenced the beliefs and practices of Australian activist and the Vietnamese National Liberation Front. If Kmarts managers decide not to accept the offer they become limited in their options: в—Џ They can continue to wait for a better bid, but they have struggled to get any one interested in their company as it is. If they decide to turn down Green, but end up not securing another buyer, they would be forced to return to Green who could offer a much lower bid because Kmart would now be left out of options. в—Џ It was also projected that Builders Square only had enough cash and working capital to continue its operations for one more year without any other changes. So their other option is to try and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result of Kmart guaranteeing its subsidiaries leases, the value of this merger depends not only on the cash received, but also the credit worthiness and skill of the buyer. If the newly merged company fails, Kmart would be in a much worse position to pay off the debt then if they had just ran a nonprofitable Builders Square. 5. Leonard Green has put together some projections on the Builders Square/Hech combo. Assess those projections in light of your industry analysis. в—Џ According to exhibit 1 the Home Improvement market has been growing at a steady pace of about 3.5% for the past 5 years. A lot of this growth steams from the do it yourself consumer market which is the primary target for the Builders Square and Hechinger Co. merger. Although Home Depot and Lowe s dominate the bulk of the home improvement market, only 6% of Home Depot s sales come from building materials and related products compared to the combined 3.4% for Builder s Square and Hechinger Co. As seen in exhibit 10, the Combined Projections for Proposed Builders Square Hechinger Merger, Green projects an increased gross profit margin as well as EBITDA assuming a 2% growth rate for the combined firm. Their profits do struggle in the beginning due to an increasing amount of revenues lost to competitors along with their high count of closing stores. • 9. Indian Wedding Essay The Indian Wedding Diary A wedding is a lot more than just an occasion. It is that special day when two souls in love, vow to protect and be with each other forever. In most cultures of the world, weddings are a closed family affair and just a one day celebration, at the most, however, an Indian wedding is way beyond that. Have you ever been to an Indian wedding before? If you haven t, then you for sure are missing out on something spectacular. An Indian wedding is much more than just the bride and the groom getting married; it is a celebration of two families becoming one and is definitely not a closed family affair. Desi weddings are a gala galore An Indian wedding, or a Desi wedding, is a joyous and lavish celebration with exuberant crowds, participating in numerous ceremonies for almost a week. However, while hip hop music was born in the Bronx, it both is part of and speaks to a long line of black American and African cultural traditions. Many observers also make a connection between rap and West African griot tradition, the art of wandering storytellers known for their knowledge of local settings and superior vocal skills. For its musical grooves, early hip hop incorporated elements of the party based sound system subculture popular at the time in Jamaica. DJ Kool Herc also brought a form of the verbal art of toasting to his parties. Jamaican DJs excited crowds by making up short raps to the beat of music, adding vibes to the party. The toasts often referred to people in the crowd or to events at the party itself. Dodd took rapping to Jamaica and Herc brought toasting back to the United States, where it quickly became known as rap, the verbal side of hip hop music. Because of this, online customer reviews have become a vital component of businesses and are considered by many as a form of social proof where people take the word of others as proof that a particular product or service is valuable and worth getting. When a potential customer conducts online research about a product or service from a business with many great reviews, it makes it much easier for them to not only trust the company but also purchase those goods because of the social proof shared online. On the contrary, businesses with a shortage of great reviews don t get the benefit of the doubt from potential customers. Portrayal Of Female Sexuality By Bram Stoker s Dracula Bram Stoker s 1897 Dracula is a novel that condemns liberated female sexuality, presenting it as volatile and threatening to the established patriarchal order of the Victorian Era. By examining the varying level of sexuality among Stoker s female characters and their narrative outcomes, the novel s attitude that female sexuality is hostile becomes apparent. In Castle Dracula, Harker meets three vampiric women whose monstrosity is presented as inseparable from their eroticism. In extreme contrast to the lecherous she beasts met by her husband in Transylvania, Mrs Johnathan Harker epitomises the Victorian notion of a good woman. Rather than occupy the role of a physical lover, Mina is a maternal figure, nurturing all her friends with an innate and instinctive tenderness. To the bereaved Lord Arthur Godalming she opens her arms unthinkingly (275), resting his head on her shoulder as though it were that of a baby that some day may lie on my bosom (275). Despite this simile endowing Mina with power over Godalming it is an acceptable power for a woman to have, that possessed by mothers over their babes, rather than that by dominatrices over their victims. At the same time as being femininely caring, she is also intelligent and sensible, perceived as typically masculine qualities by the Victorians. Described by Van Helsing on more than one occasion of having a man s brain (281, 404) while also having a woman s heart (281), Mina is rendered virtually void of any sexual desire or attraction. Her womanliness centres on gentle compassion and the manliness of her mind ensures she is too sensible to give in to any subconscious eroticism. Design Elements: While building this bridge, the first design element, was the deck design. We took around one horizontal length of vertical popsicle sticks and lined them side by side, and repeated. Later we connected them together with a horizontal popsicle stick. I then took two lines and placed them ontop of eachother to create a flat surface. This way it will carry a lot of weight, and it will also run smoothly. After this I created trusses to put on the side, so that the weight would be evenly distributed amongst the bridge, instead of all the weight on one part. This would help stop the bridge from immediately bending once weights were put into the bucket. To make the trusses I had to take popsicle sticks and glue them into a triangle shape, and then glue them together from the bottom. This way they wouldn t break apart. A prime example of this would be consumers who purchase professional athletic gear such as the jersey of the Los Angeles Laker s star Kobe Bryant or the former Most Valuable Player (MVP) Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. These are only two out of the thirty National Basketball Association(NBA) teams that will be required to use Nike produced gear. In 2015, the NBA signed an 8 year contract with Nike for them to produce all of the gear for all NBA Teams, such as jerseys and shorts as well as fan gear such as jerseys, t shirts, socks, jackets and any other apparel that the league can use to generate large profits. There are no children in the world who would want to work in an environment that can end their life at any given moment due to improper safety regulations. It is unfortunate that individuals who purchase the goods that these children produce such as cell phones, laptops, carpet, and clothing are unintentionally providing these children with their low wages of sub one dollar an hour. However this often occurs because of a lack of knowledge people have regarding child labor around the world. Also the endorsements that these major companies have by athletic programs at both the professional and collegiate levels such as the NBA and Washington State Universityreach such a large population of viewers that individuals feel it is good to buy these products. In this essay, he discusses the ego ideal and the actual ego. The ego ideal is the representation of what one wants to become. It is the perfect, idealized version of one s self. The actual ego is the reality of that person. The ego ideal ultimately serves the pleasure principle. One of the opposing drives Freud presents is the drive for pleasure. An argument Freud presents in his essay is where does self serving for pleasure end and fulfilment of responsibilities begin? Our impulses drive us to nourish and protect ourselves. His ideas of actual love relate to narcissism in regards to the understanding of love. In other words, love and narcissism seem to go hand in hand. The concept of narcissism was developed in part by studying psychosis and, pragmatically, narcissism explained the intractability of psychosis to psychoanalysis (Sharpless, 211). Sharpless uses Freud s theories of narcissism to not only report the facts, but to use his theories in action. Where does love come from? Where does narcissism come from? In this essay, Sharpless states the love derives from narcissism, an idea that is supported by Freud s theories. The use of Freud in this essay concerning romantic love leads to the conclusion that love comes from the unconscious. Our ego believes that it is controlling our thoughts and actions. However, it is likely that the unconscious makes the ego believe this and instead, controls what we think, say, and do without our conscious recognition. If love is connected to narcissism, Sharpless theorizes that actual love is connected to pain for the lover. Coming to a happy love and working through the impediments to reach such a state entails the gaining of self knowledge and a continual modification of one s ego to a state that is likely commensurable with the lover s (Sharpless, 223). ... Therefore, the title itself unveils that Emily might partake on a journey of heartbreak and bitterness and would be the epitome of a valid recipient of rose in that period. A logical reason as to why the title is not A Rose for Miss Emily is that it might reveal more of the story than Faulkner had originally intended. When addressing the protagonist as Miss, the reader immediately knows that she is a maiden, without a husband and maybe without a true love. In the article GOP Fox Circus Act , Reed Richardson argues that although both the GOP and Fox have conservative political values, they are ultimately harmful to each other s agendas because of their differing political goals. Both organizations are lacking popularity in recent years so they are struggling to find new ways to gain an audience. The GOP wants to find a way to get their ideas to a wide variety of people, whereas Fox is promoting more liberal views to increase the ratings of their programs. On one hand, the GOP s reputation is hurt by the inaccuracy of Fox s reporting. On the other hand, Fox is tied down by the conservative views of the GOP, thus restraining Fox from gaining a larger audience. Journalist Reed Richardson wrote this article for The National, a liberal newspaper, in 2013, so the events and issues that he is speaking of are still relevant to this day. Due to the differences of political views between the author and the subject matter, there is plenty of room for biased statements and opinions. Does Richardson provide enough evidence of the harmful effects of the Fox and GOP relationship? Oedipus arrogance renders him to the point where he is incapable of interpreting the truth of his origins and profoundly desires to maintain his authority as the sovereign of Thebes. Consequently, his conduct incites catharsis from the audience as they witness the gradual collapse of a prominent, dramatic figure. Sophocles additionally utilises imagery to reinforce his clutch on the sentiments of the audience, during Oedipus revelation to the truth of his origins. Some cultures in the world are focused on saving money, some on saving time. Yet, unlike money or time, there exists a universal desire among all peoples to save face. This saving of face during a conflict and it s intercultural understanding is known as the Face Negotiation Theory. The Face Negotiation Theory has evolved since its first inception; however, it continues to be highly applicable with broad applications worldwide. The Face Negotiation Theory Defined The Face Negotiation Theory was proposed by researcher Stella Ting Toomey in 1985 Oetzel Ting Toomey, 2003). It is based on the concept that individuals of every culture found in the world care about how their face (or self image) is presented and it seeks to explain the reason individuals of different cultures manage conflicts which occur in different ways (Oetzel Ting Toomey, 2003). Over the years, with the advancement in technology, fans have become much lighter, safer, and more efficient. However, even though there are many styles and sizes to choose from, the product s architecture has not changed significantly (figure 1 and 2 ). ABSTRACT This research investigates and empirically examines the effects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on agricultural output and economic growth in Kenya. The methodology involves estimating an economic growth model using panel data of the period from 1990 to 2013. By applying the OLS method, the results indicate that FDIhas a negative effect on the economy overall, while combining with other factors such as labour, GCF and exports. However, on its own, FDI s prove to have a positive but insignificant effect on GDP. CHAPTER ONE Introduction Statement Claims that the Foreign Direct Investment in Agriculture in Kenya have brought about many benefits as opposed to the vices are wrong. In his book, Multinational Corporations in Political Economy of Kenya, Langdon investigates multinational Corporations performances in Kenya in the mid 1970 s and concluded that their impact was overwhelmingly negative to the economy of Kenya. For this project, I directed the group to form a seventeen by twenty three foot pebbled area and three extra large outdoor dog kennels. To accomplish this task the Boy Scout program taught me how to think critically, to organize blue prints, investigate city ordinances, calculate the yards of materials needed, and evaluate the depth of the anchors to avoid hitting underground gas lines and plumbing by talking to City Public Service. Yes, of course the program also reinforces safety. So again, all scouts must learn to look for signs of heat stroke, dehydration and figure out where the local hospitals are in case of an emergency. In hindsight, I value the importance of safety because I had to really watch the youth to make sure none of them cut off a finger or a limb while working with power tools. In short, the program teaches scouts to value leadership to accomplish ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
