Damages On The Form Of Penalties
DAMAGES IN THE FORM OF PENALTIES
Section 73 and 74 of the Indian Contracts Act, 1872 (referred as ICA, 1872 hereinafter) provide the
basic structure for enforcement, non performance and breach of contract. This paper deals with
provisions regarding penalties on breach of the contract by one of the parties. Since sections 73 and 74
of the ICA, 1872 talk about the damages to be awarded in the case of breach and such damages shall
be predefined in the contract while drafting the same and such pre estimation shall be just and of
reasonable nature. Hence making the damages Liquidated.
LIQUIDATED DAMAGES
When parties by contract assess the damages to be paid irrespective of the actual damage are
categorized as liquidated damages. Liquidated damages can be dictated to flow in two ways
1. Either by paying the sum of money due stipulated to the other party. Or
2. By forfeiting the amount already paid by the party who breaches the contract
Liquidated damages are a genuine pre estimate of damages .
DAMAGES
According to the section 73 of the ICA, 1872 the word damages has been used
Section 73 of the ICA, 1872 says that
Compensation for loss or damage caused by breach of contract. When a contract has been broken, the
party who suffers by such breach is entitled to receive, form the party who has broken the contract,
compensation for any loss or damage caused to him thereby, which naturally arose in the usual course
of things from such breach, or which the parties knew, when

Education In Richard Rodriguez s The Hunger Of Memory
Education in the world today is almost a necessity to obtaining a well paying job and a decent
standard of living. The entire population is surrounded by millions of creations well educated people
made or thought of by themselves. In the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez
and the essay Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie, education majorly influenced the outcomes of
the authors lives. Common themes found throughout the writings are upbringings from ethnic
backgrounds and being taught with the American education system. Education is extremely influential
in how successful people become in the world. At first glance, these pieces of literature seem similar,
but they have many differing viewpoints on how truly powerful education can be on the life of an
individual. Whether having a positive or negative impact on a life or lives, knowledge can lead a
person to a truly successful route in his or her journey. Having a proper education is essential. In the
excerpt from The Hunger of Memory, Rodriguez discusses how he became assimilated to the
American education system. He was brought about in a Spanish speaking home and taught English at
the age of six. Rodriguez explains his feelings of no longer having a connection to his parents, who
were immigrants, and his Mexican culture, in which he claims is because of the rapid change to
speaking English and being taught the American way. The author states, The name I carry from my
parents who are no longer my

Qualify or Not?
Viccio and Martin staff accountant Jane Ashley was assigned to work on an audit team with one senior
auditor Frankie Small. The audit they were to perform was on the top paying client of Viccio and
Martin, Models Inc.. Jane had spent time working for the firm while finishing her academics, and had
been present for many other audits. This left her excited to show her employer all she had learned
during this first assignment. Jane was away at school when the yearend inventory count was made for
Models Inc., so she decided to brush up before the audit began by studying the financials, audit notes,
previous audits, and the inventory counts performed. Upon doing so, ... Show more content on

The next stakeholder is the clients themselves, the decision made on handling the discrepancies will
affect the future of the company and its employees, as they could be out of work if the company
closes. Another stakeholder is the accounting firm; If they decide to do the right thing it could cost
them current and future revenue, again possibly affecting employees and their future earnings as well.
The last stakeholder affected by the decision is Jane herself; she has her morals and reputation to
consider as well earnings potential for the future.
The decision making process for Jane should include looking at several approaches and stakeholder
impact analysis. The stakeholders should be prioritized and the impacts on each looked at thoroughly
before a decision is made. There is not any scenario where signing off on the false information will
have a positive impact on any of the most important stakeholders. With that said, Jane should tell her
superiors that she is not comfortable signing off on the audit as it stands. In doing so she runs the risk
of losing her job, on the other hand she is taking a stand for herself and the two top stakeholders, the
bank and the suppliers. Jane must be careful in how she proceeds as confidentiality is expected.
Reporting the issue to the appropriate entities is considered a breach of that confidentiality in the US.
However, this case is in Canada, where it is the duty of all chartered accountants, and Auditors to

Ethical Dilemmas In The Classroom Analysis
Class Reflection There are many times in a setting where you work with other adults that something
will come into play that provides a conflict that could potentially create a clash of ideas. Sometimes
something that one person may think is the correct way to go about things, could be wrong in the eyes
of the other adult. When this conflict comes into play the two people that come into problems with one
another need to make adult decisions to come to an agreement on the conflict that has arisen. Conflict
management is about calming discussing the situation in order to brainstorm on the problem (Watson,
2012). My paper discusses a current dilemma, ethical ideal/principles that relate to the dilemma, as
well as future approach. Ethical Dilemma The ethical dilemma that I have come into is a case in which
a director was filling into a classroom for a teacher. Unfortunately the classroom that the director was
filling in for, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It almost feels like this falls under ethical responsibilities to the children. The teacher should ensure
they are creating a safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive setting for each child (Gartell, 2013). By
the parent/director allowing the child to act out, the parent/director was not putting the needs of the
other children first. I say this because, the director is teaching the other children that it is ok to act that
way. In addition, if the parent/director was treating their child differently, such as favoring, the other
children could potentially pick up on this as well. The parent/director should facilitate cooperative and
individual activities so that each child can experience success (Gartell, 2013). By not addressing the
behavior of their child, this sends mixed messages to the class. In addition, this does not allow the
children the opportunity to cope with the behavior, hence allowing for a healthy class environment
(Morrison, 2014) as the parent/director is utilizing

Difference Between Aggregate Demand And The Price Level
Question (3)
A) What is Aggregate Demand?
Aggregate demand is the total amount that all consumers, businesses, government agencies, and
foreigners spend on final goods and services.
Aggregate demand is represented by the aggregate demand curve, and it describes the relationship
between price levels and the quantity of output that firms are willing to provide. Aggregate demand is
not a fixed number because it depends on the price level.
The relationship between aggregate demand and the price level normally is a negative relationship,
which creates a downward sloping aggregate demand curve.
B) Develop a model showing the importance and effects of Aggregate Demand on the overall
economy.
The model is aggregate supply/ aggregate demand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It stimulates the aggregate demand and thereby increases overall economic activities and growth.
Fiscal policy, as it will be explained below, could affect the whole economy through affecting the
aggregate demand. For example, increasing government spending lead to increase the aggregate
demand and thereby boost the entire economy (more details about this example and how the
expansionary and contractionary fiscal policy could affect aggregate demand and thereby affect the
overall economy are in the answers of sections d and e)
C) What is Fiscal Policy? What are the goals of Fiscal Policy? What are the tools of Fiscal Policy?
Fiscal policy is the government s plan for spending and taxation (which in the United States is set by
the Federal Reserve). Fiscal policy is helping to steer aggregate demand in the desired direction of the
economy because the increasing or decreasing in spending and taxes levels influences the economy.
Thus, the main goals of this policy are to help the government to manage inflation, employment and
the flow of money through the economic system.
There are two main tools of fiscal policy, taxes and spending. Taxes affect the economy by
determining the total money that the government has to spend and how much money each person has
to spend. Secondly, government spending as a tool for fiscal policy can be used to drive government
money to certain sectors that need an economic boost. These sectors who receives those dollars

Virtual Private Networking Essay
This paper will Describe in detail what Virtual Private Networking is and how it is used in companies.
It will cover all of the benefits, as well as the problems encountered in achieving success with this
facilitator of social software. It will give examples of companies and how they use the technology, it
will provide case studies of companies that have used the technology successfully. It will review the
author s thoughts of how to use VPN in a common workplace. Then it will show you how to
implement VPN on a network, through both hardware and software installations. You will see how
employees collaborate with this tool and use it to increase productivity. You will see the obstacles that
you would encounter with a VPN system ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some service companies use VPN to run diagnosis of equipment to determine why it is
malfunctioning.
A benefit of VPN s is the use of the Internet to access off site locations or employees. These virtual
connections allow off site locations and employees communication to the LAN. Another benefit
would be improved security. VPN s sit behind a firewall, encrypt information transferred via the
Internet, Internet Protocol Security Protocol (IPSec) which allows better encryption and authentication
and AAA (authentication, authorization and accounting) servers which are used for more secure access
in a remote access VPN environment (Jeff Tyson, HowStuffworks.com).
Benefits also include reduced cost versus WAN or leased lines. Reduced transmit time and simplified
topology.
There are many problems to address before implementing a VPN. These can be divided into three
categories: Implementation, Configuration and Support.
Implementation
A successful VPN should acquire simplified software that end users are comfortable using. Otherwise
expensive training can impose additional costs not addressed in the initial estimated price of the VPN.
Virtual IP addresses are needed to integrate into the corporate network. These addresses can cause
some problems for application protocols such as NETMeeting and Xwindows.
Configuration:
Areas of concern when configuring a VPN include Internet access type, bandwidth usage and Internet

Memory E. B White Analysis
I believe E. B. White was successful in creating a piece about memory. The use of his descriptive
sentence structure throughout the piece transported the reader to that very lake in Maine he wrote of.
Furthermore I felt as if I was there watching it happen in front of me. He thoroughly described each
setting in such great detail that I recalled memories of my own with my father. We would go camping
and fishing on a lake in South Carolina much similar to the one E.B. White described. These trips took
place in the month of July when the heat was at its peak, mosquitoes abound, crickets and frogs sang
in unison, the smell of DEET smothered all over my body and the late evening thunderstorms which
brought wind, rain and lightning. These were some

3d Printing Is Changing The World
3D printing is changing the world we live in today. Business Insider calls 3D printing The Next
Industrial Revolution (Rega). Imagine having the capability of producing any product you want at
your fingertips within minutes; it is now possible because of 3D printing. Simply put, 3D printing is
the process of creating real objects by printing chosen substances layer by layer until the desired
product is made, therefore 3D printing is sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing. There are
endless possibilities with 3D printing from the medical field, to manufacturing, automobiles, to
airplanes, and also personal use. 3D printed objects are going to be an integrated part of everyday life.
Contrary to what you may think, 3D printing is not new. Its roots stem from inkjet printer concepts.
However, instead of printing with ink, it prints with material. The concept of 3D printing has been
around for about 30 years. It inventor Chuck Hull discovered it in 1983. One day, Hull became
frustrated at how long it would take for small plastic parts that he needed for his job to be
manufactured and decided to fix this problem. At the time he was working for a business that made
plastic veneers for tables and other furniture items. They would put this liquid like substance on
objects and then dry it using Ultra Violet (UV) light. Hull got the great idea to take this liquid
substance and the UV light and create 3D images by layering the liquid. Originally he called this

Book Of Ecclesiastes Research Paper
The book of Ecclesiastes is one of the unique pieces of literature in the Old Testament, the author of
the book takes a very interesting view on life and wisdom that makes the reader take a deeper look
into life itself. The author is believed to be Solomon, who wrote the book late in his life, around 935
B.C. (Smith) Solomon describes his personal experience and disappointments with life, as he states: I
have seen all the works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving
after the wind (Ecclesiastes 1:14) This relates to everyone still today, how people try to strive for
success in their jobs, to make more money, and all their labor is useless at the end of their life. What is
the point of making millions of dollars in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Solomon had become an old man he had tried every earthly pleasure under the sun, he had
experienced everything he ever wanted to and gained wisdom from those experiences, and that too he
states is folly. I don t believe he was saying that wisdom is a bad thing, what he was saying is that
credit is not always given where credit is due. Barksdale 2 Meaning that human nature does not
always appreciate wise counsel, even if its value is proven without a doubt. Though Solomon s
wisdom came through sin and sensuality, he had tasted every evil desire that he had wanted to. He did
not gain his wisdom through wise teachings and counsel, and doing the right thing all the time; his
wisdom was through experiences of useless sinful activities. About midway through the book, the
author Solomon switches from proverbs of wisdom to poetry, why is this? Some believe the teacher
had stopped analyzing the dilemma of life and wanted to start giving practical advice. Others see the
poetry in the later chapters of the book as perhaps somewhat of

The Speaker of Birches by Robert Frost
Birches is a poem written by Robert Frost that has a speaker, imagery, and symbols. The speaker in
this poem is Frost. He explains his perspective of the birch trees in first person. Imagery is a word,
phrase, or sentence that shows an experience or object. There are numerous examples of imagery in
this poem. Symbols are something in the poem that stands for something else. There are various
symbols in Birches. In Birches, Frost talks about how he can view birch trees in winter that have bent
branches. He says he hopes that they are bent because of some boy swinging on them, because he
knows that when a child swings on birch tree branches, the branches do not stay bent forever because
a child is not heavy enough to permanently bend the branches. However, these trees are permanently
bent from the ice storms in this winter season. Ice damages the birch trees and leaves them bent
forever. He then thinks back to his childhood when he used to swing on trees and not have a worry. He
wishes he could return back to his childhood. Birches by Robert Frost is a poem written in first person
that shows imagery and symbols. This thinking and other reflections in Birches is spoken by Robert
Frost in first person. He is the speaker throughout the entire poem and shares how he feels. An
example of the poem being spoken in first person is when he says, I like to think some boy s been
swinging on them. The fact that he uses I shows that this is first person. The meaning of that

The Secret Compartment Of The Room
Nightburn closed the journal and replaced it in the secret compartment in his desk. He would read

his chair back, stood up and walked out onto the balcony. It was late evening and he hadn t eaten all
day and decided he should make an appearance to avoid undue suspicion even if it was late. Washing
up, he changed into his usual attire and left his room for the dining hall. Voices drifted down the

minor matters that had occurred during recruitment of new troops. Even though the servants cleared
the table, they still sat for some time finishing their glasses of wine and talking about this and that,
nothing of real concern. Relieved that no one had commented on his late arrival, he yawned, only then
realizing how truly tired he had become and excused himself and retired to his room, finding a bath
drawn with clean towels and the bedding changed. He truly appreciated his service staff at that
moment. Stripping off his clothes, he stepped into the bathtub, but took only the time to bathe himself
because the bed was so appealing. Having scrubbed off all the dirt from the day, he stepped out, dried
himself with the towels left by the servant, dressed in his bed attire, and plopped his tired body into
bed. When his head hit the pillow, he was fast asleep.
The next morning, Nightburn awoke, eager to find the hidden room, he had read about in his father s
journal, and dressed quickly. Although early, the guards would be changing shifts soon making it
easier to get to the north wing unseen. He stepped into the north wing library

How to be a successful FFA member
What is FFA? FFA used to stand for Future Farmers of America but that was changed because they
wanted the organization to be more than just farm kids. FFA is an extracurricular activity that certain
high school and possibly middle schools offer through their agriculture classes. You can become an
FFA member if your school offers it by taking an agriculture class and you pay yearly dues to your
chapter.
What agriculture class to take?
All schools offer different agriculture classes if any just depends on your school.
Most schools offer:
Intro to ANFR
Animal Science
Plant Science
Ag Business
Agronomy
To take any of those classes you must take Intro to ANFR. Intro to ANFR is a basic class that
introduces you to FFA and all the other classes you can take. After you pass ANFR you can take any
of the agriculture classes your school offers. Pick a class that you are interested in taking and possibly

In the era in of Sen no Rikyu, the affluent tea master to Nobunaga and Hideyoshi, teahouse
architecture focused on spirituality, a connection with nature, your inner self, your host and the

Earnings per share (EPS) is defined as net income divided by the number of shares of stock issued to

Companies having the highest ratios of production costs to net revenues are likely to be caught in a
profit squeeze, with margins too small to cover delivery, marketing, and administrative costs and
interest costs and still have a comfortable margin for profit. Production costs at such companies are
usually too high relative to the price they are charging (their strategic options for boosting profitability
are to cut costs, raise prices, or try to make up for thin margins by somehow selling additional units).

A Short Note On The And Chemical Spill
1.A. Eye wash is used in the case of a chemical splash to the eyes. According to the lab information, if
a person gets chemicals in his or her eyes, that person should begin to flush their eyes with water for
15 30 minutes. The best way to accomplish flushing the eyes is to flush outward. B. Fire blankets can
be used in the laboratory to extinguish small fires, or protect oneself in the case of a fire. One should
not attempt to extinguish a large fire with a fire blanket, but should evacuate the area immediately. C.
Safety showers are used if there is a chemical spill or fire. In this case, the person affected should
stand under the shower for a minimum of 15 30 minutes. This is done to effectively flood the body of
harmful substances. D. Chemical spill kits contain items that should be used incase of chemical spills.
For example, if an acidic chemical is spilled, then a base will be used to neutralize that chemical.
Chemical spill kits are meant for surfaces not skin. E. Biological spill solution includes a 10% bleach
solution. This is used to disinfect working areas. This solution should definitely be used when working
with organisms that can cause disease. Individuals working with such organisms should protect and
cover his or her skin. 2. A. A broken glass container should be used to discard any broken glass as well

Big Data Management From Relational Database Management
With 3.2 billion internet users [1] and 6.4 billion internet connected devices in 2016 alone [2],
unprecedented amount of data is being generated and processed daily and increasingly every year.
With the advent of web 2.0, the growth and creation of new and more complex types of data has
created a natural demand for analysis of new data sources in order to gain knowledge. This new data
volume and complexity is being called Big Data, famously characterised by Volume, Variety and
Velocity and has created data management and processing challenges due to technological limitations,
efficiency or cost to store and process in a timely fashion. The large volume and complexity of data
cannot be handled and/or processed by most current information systems in a timely manner, while
traditional data mining and analytics methods developed for a centralized data system may not be
practical for Big Data.
Tracking the concept of Big Data management from Relational Databases Management Systems to the
current NoSQL database, this paper surveys the Big Data challenges from the perspective of its
characteristics Volume, Variety and Velocity, and attempts to study how each of these challenges are
addressed by various NoSQL systems. NoSQL is not a single system that can solve every single Big
Data problem; it is an eco system of technologies where different type of NoSQL databases are
optimized to address various types of big data challenges by providing schema less modeling and

One of the first major challenges was the establishment of a DoDAAC. Prior to his arrival at Camp

DODAAC. This is the method normally used to request supplies, request and track equipment, and
other logistical functions. Since the main element of the 102FA (RAOC) was located in Baghdad, SFC

Isolation In John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums
Someone who has insignificant contact or a small amount of similarities with another person
persuades a sign of being isolated. The act of isolation is usually detected when someone separates
themselves away from other people or places. In some cases, it can also be the other way around and
other people will disconnect or single out an individual. Throughout the year, half of the short stories
that were given are an enhancement towards the impact of isolation brought upon a character. Our
society chooses to isolate themselves from others because they fear the reactions they will evoke from
others or based on the reactions others has evoked on them. The author in A P, John Updike, placed
isolation on the protagonist throughout the story, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The wife and husband physically isolated themselves from each other while they both did their duty.
Elisa Allen, working in her flower garden, looked down across the yard and saw Henry, her husband
(Steinbeck 1). Since they were physically comfortable with being distant from one another, then they
grew to be emotionally detached. Their negative attitude and actions towards their loved one resulted
in bad behavior. In her tone and on her face there was a little smugness (Steinbeck 2). The formation
of their love disconnection led Elisa to disengage deference to her husband with a stranger. While
communicating with the stranger her eyes hardened with resistance (Steinbeck 5). Elisa normally
never receives any kind of attention from her husband, so she tried to enjoy it while it would last. The
author, D. H. Lawrence, wrote about The Horse Dealer s Daughter who was alone... she did not share

The Importance Of Domestic Labor
It is not a secret that women often take on the majority of the parenting/household responsibilities in
heterosexual households. Sabattini explains, With the birth of the first child, the division of labor
between couples typically becomes more traditional as women assume the primary responsibility for
both household and parenting chores .... Although most mothers work outside of the home,
comparatively few fathers are equally involved in the domestic labor. This is referred to as the second
shift for mothers who have jobs outside of the home. Not only do mothers tend to do more of the
parenting labor (figure 1), they tend to do more of the feminine work while their male partner s do
more of the masculine work. Specifically, mothers do more household chores such as cooking,
cleaning, laundry, and dishes. Fathers tend to do more masculine chores such as home repair, lawn
care, and handling electronics. Mothers also tend to engage in more of the emotional labor of raising
children. Mothers are more likely to handle emotional distress, social training, and discipline.
According to Bush, Dads approach parenting with different priorities than we mothers do. They tend
to care less about dress, eating habits, and other details. Instead, dads tend to want to play with kids
more and challenge them more, and this can help kids gain confidence. Fathers are much less
concerned with mundane, day to day tasks. This concept is displayed in the home life of most people.

the events and movements that were influential in the recognition of the canonical books. According
to Britannica, the canonical books are recognized as the quintessential corner stone of the New

events that lead to what Christians currently accept as the Word of God. There are several key

Gnosticism is not understood to be an organized group whose plight is to obliterate the Church;
however, it is a movement that existed within the church and outside of it (Wilson 1955). Conversely,
these Gnostics beliefs were too much of a contradiction of core Christian beliefs to co exist.
Marcionism, much like Gnostic beliefs were also intertwined within the Church. However, Marcion s
depiction of Christianity was heavily anti Jewish. Since the fundamental beliefs of Christianity rest on
the creator God based on the Jewish teachings, this was a contradiction to fundamental points in
Christian doctrine (Quispel 1998). Imperatively, Marcion s threat to the church was substantially more
than Gnostics because he created and actual Church (Quispel 1998). The challenge that Marcion
brought to the Church was great and thusly required a retort. Once the church realized that these
beliefs would question the core of the Christian faith, the process of the recognition of the canonical
books started and it was a process that lasted until the implication of the New Testament as accepted
today (Brueggeman 1978) . In conclusion, analyzing the key events and movements that were

Capital Punishment In Canada
Capital punishment, within the Canadian context, has enjoyed a long and controversial history. First
enacted as a punishment for the act of murder, its use and subsequent abolition have been the source
of significant legislative debates that have contributed to a shift in penal philosophy. Moving away
from the principle of lex talionis, the Canadian government between 1957 and 1967 began to
commute death sentences across the nation. This desire to limit the use of capital punishment would
finally culminate in its removal form legislation in 1976. It is my opinion that Canada should not
return to the principles of lex talionis and reinstate capital punishment. For submission, I offer the
following arguments:

Justice, as properly understood within western legal tradition, must, as necessary condition, seek to
establish truth, ensure the protection of liberties and have in place procedural safeguards to ensure that
only those who are guilty of a crime are punished. While this may seem to be only an ideal in the
broadest sense justice cannot, and indeed must not, stray to far from these principles. Yes, it is
acknowledged that in some instances there will be individuals and cases that fall through the cracks
however, it is precisely for this reason that capital punishment must not be reinstated.
In the interest of justice that is reputable, it is my opinion that the reinstatement of capital punishment
poses to great of a risk as it relates to an innocent individual being sentenced to death. When this
unfortunate event occurs, the justice in its entirety is brought into question and is ill equipped to
provide sufficient remedies.

If Moon Phases Are Caused By The Shadow Of The Earth On...
Predictions
Model 1: Moon phases are caused by the shadow of the Earth on the Moon
1. If Moon phases are caused by the shadow of the Earth on the Moon, when there is a new Moon, it
should lie directly behind the Earth. The sunlight would be completely blocked off from the Moon
because of Earth s shadow.
2. If Moon phases are caused by the shadow of the Earth on the Moon, the Moon should be a full
Moon for most of the lunar month because Earth will not cast a shadow on the Moon unless the Moon
is behind the Earth.
Model 2: Moon phases are caused by different angles between the Moon, Earth and Sun
1. If Moon phases are caused by different angles between the Moon and Sun, half Moons should take
place when the Moon is on either side of earth related to the sun (not in between the sun and earth, and
not behind the sun and earth).
2. If the Moon phases are caused by different angles between the Moon and Sun, the Moon is full for
only a small fraction of the lunar month because it would only be full when it is behind the Earth and

Two Situations on How Calculus Is Used in Daily Life
There are actually two situations on how calculus is used in daily life. One of them is in term of one is
in term of concept, while the other one is in term of practicality. Concepts used of calculus usually
used in daily life of humans but rather they did not aware about it. Practicality is when the calculus is
used to solve a problem in human life but mainly not about every humans life. Concepts used of
calculus. Happen without one notice that they are actually applied it when they do some works. One
example in term of concepts is the application of limit. Limit is needed when finding the closest value
when the value of derivative of x is set to stay within the boundaries when the value is approaching
the value that have been set.[2] Simpler sentence that define limit is that limit help us to find a finite
value in a seemingly infinite journey of precision.[2] For example, you are driving a car in a nice
weather as you approaching a stop sign.[2] Slowly, you begin pressing the brake and the acceleration
of the car decreasing by time as you notice that the speedometer going down and the car is slowing as
well.[2] As closer to the stop sign, definitely you will try to adjust so your speed is falling to make
sure that you will stop at the right spot.[2] You will slowing down to a point that it is very difficult to
see if your speed is still slowing down.[2] Theoretically, you would keep approaching the stop forever

Stereotype Essay
Have you ever felt the impacts of a stereotype? Stereotypes can sometimes make people feel unwanted
around people and possibly uncomfortable in their own skin. There re many different types of
stereotypes but they all impact us negatively. Stereotypes can be defined as judgments that people
make about others without knowing them personally, and stereotypes impact our society in many
ways. For example, in an interview with Guy Raz from NPR, Jamila Lyiscott says that You have this
lens where you re looking at yourself through the lens of other people the way that they re looking at
you (Raz, Guy, and Jamila Lyiscott). In this quote Lyiscott is saying that stereotypes cause tension

Armon says It means, he answered lightly, that the child is not white; it means that you are not white

stereotypes affect the person you re making the assumption about more than the person judging that

When using extension cords, make sure they are rated for outdoor use, and keep the connections

Plug all the lights in to make sure all bulbs are working.
Tape cords across walkways, and use the correct length needed to travel to your lights. You don t want
your cords to be too long so they pile up and create walking hazards.
A circuit is overloaded if the total load exceeds 1,800 watts for a 15 amp circuit. (120 volts x 15 amps

Whether through purchasing massive amounts of advertising for political purposes, or by owning the

The news organizations they own barely bothered to report on this pending legislation even as the
corporate owners (NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox) were lobbying Congress hard for what amounted to a

what a corporation, or in this case corporations, will do to protect them. The act was passed because of
the corporations giving money to members of Congress. Sure it may seem a bit manipulative, but it is
totally legal under the constitution.
Media corporations have been merging into fewer (and larger) entities which are better able to control

To properly examine the NLRB it is imperative to understand how it is organized. The NLRB has five
members and primarily acts as a quasi judicial body in deciding cases on the basis of formal records in
administrative proceedings. Board Members are appointed by the President to 5 year terms, with
Senate consent, the term of one Member expiring each year (NLRB.gov). In addition to the board
members there is a General Counsel, which is appointed by the President to a 4 year term and is
independent from the board. The person appointed to the position of General Counsel is responsible
for the investigation and prosecution of unfair labor practice cases and for the general supervision of
the NLRB field offices in the processing of cases. (NLRB.gov) The NLRB also has a Division of
Judges, which is made up of 40 Administrative Law Judges who hear, settle and decide unfair labor
practice cases throughout the United States.
Next, it is important to understand what the NLRB does and does not have jurisdiction over. The
NLRB does not have jurisdiction over 6 types of labors: (1) governmental employees, (2) persons
covered by the Railway Act, (3) independent contractors, (4) agricultural laborers, (5)
household/domestic workers, and (6) employees who work for their spouse or parents (Reed, 631).

Storytelling can be found in every corner of the world. It is used to pass the time, tell of past or current
events, and is the way that we communicate with each other. In Balzac and the little Chinese
Seamstress, by Dai Sijie, storytelling occurs during times of hopelessness when life seems hard and

This paper deals with provisions regarding penalties on breach of the contract by one of the parties. The entire population is surrounded by millions of creations well educated people made or thought of by themselves. In the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez and the essay Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie, education majorly influenced the outcomes of the authors lives. Common themes found throughout the writings are upbringings from ethnic backgrounds and being taught with the American education system. Education is extremely influential in how successful people become in the world. At first glance, these pieces of literature seem similar, but they have many differing viewpoints on how truly powerful education can be on the life of an individual. • 4. Essay on Dilehmas in the accounting Profession Qualify or Not? Acc/260 November 3, 2013 Qualify or Not? Viccio and Martin staff accountant Jane Ashley was assigned to work on an audit team with one senior auditor Frankie Small. The audit they were to perform was on the top paying client of Viccio and Martin, Models Inc.. Jane had spent time working for the firm while finishing her academics, and had been present for many other audits. This left her excited to show her employer all she had learned during this first assignment. Upon doing so, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The next stakeholder is the clients themselves, the decision made on handling the discrepancies will affect the future of the company and its employees, as they could be out of work if the company closes. Another stakeholder is the accounting firm; If they decide to do the right thing it could cost them current and future revenue, again possibly affecting employees and their future earnings as well. The last stakeholder affected by the decision is Jane herself; she has her morals and reputation to consider as well earnings potential for the future. The decision making process for Jane should include looking at several approaches and stakeholder impact analysis. The stakeholders should be prioritized and the impacts on each looked at thoroughly before a decision is made. There is not any scenario where signing off on the false information will have a positive impact on any of the most important stakeholders. With that said, Jane should tell her superiors that she is not comfortable signing off on the audit as it stands. In doing so she runs the risk of losing her job, on the other hand she is taking a stand for herself and the two top stakeholders, the bank and the suppliers. Jane must be careful in how she proceeds as confidentiality is expected. Reporting the issue to the appropriate entities is considered a breach of that confidentiality in the US. However, this case is in Canada, where it is the duty of all chartered accountants, and Auditors to report ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Ethical Dilemmas In The Classroom Analysis Class Reflection There are many times in a setting where you work with other adults that something will come into play that provides a conflict that could potentially create a clash of ideas. Sometimes something that one person may think is the correct way to go about things, could be wrong in the eyes of the other adult. When this conflict comes into play the two people that come into problems with one another need to make adult decisions to come to an agreement on the conflict that has arisen. Conflict management is about calming discussing the situation in order to brainstorm on the problem (Watson, 2012). The teacher should ensure they are creating a safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive setting for each child (Gartell, 2013). By the parent/director allowing the child to act out, the parent/director was not putting the needs of the other children first. I say this because, the director is teaching the other children that it is ok to act that way. In addition, if the parent/director was treating their child differently, such as favoring, the other children could potentially pick up on this as well. The parent/director should facilitate cooperative and individual activities so that each child can experience success (Gartell, 2013). By not addressing the behavior of their child, this sends mixed messages to the class. In addition, this does not allow the children the opportunity to cope with the behavior, hence allowing for a healthy class environment (Morrison, 2014) as the parent/director is utilizing ... • 6. Difference Between Aggregate Demand And The Price Level Question (3) A) What is Aggregate Demand? Aggregate demand is the total amount that all consumers, businesses, government agencies, and foreigners spend on final goods and services. Aggregate demand is represented by the aggregate demand curve, and it describes the relationship between price levels and the quantity of output that firms are willing to provide. Aggregate demand is not a fixed number because it depends on the price level. The relationship between aggregate demand and the price level normally is a negative relationship, which creates a downward sloping aggregate demand curve. B) Develop a model showing the importance and effects of Aggregate Demand on the overall economy. The model is aggregate supply/ aggregate demand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It stimulates the aggregate demand and thereby increases overall economic activities and growth. Fiscal policy, as it will be explained below, could affect the whole economy through affecting the aggregate demand. For example, increasing government spending lead to increase the aggregate demand and thereby boost the entire economy (more details about this example and how the expansionary and contractionary fiscal policy could affect aggregate demand and thereby affect the overall economy are in the answers of sections d and e) C) What is Fiscal Policy? What are the goals of Fiscal Policy? What are the tools of Fiscal Policy? Fiscal policy is the government s plan for spending and taxation (which in the United States is set by the Federal Reserve). Fiscal policy is helping to steer aggregate demand in the desired direction of the economy because the increasing or decreasing in spending and taxes levels influences the economy. Thus, the main goals of this policy are to help the government to manage inflation, employment and the flow of money through the economic system. There are two main tools of fiscal policy, taxes and spending. Taxes affect the economy by determining the total money that the government has to spend and how much money each person has to spend. Secondly, government spending as a tool for fiscal policy can be used to drive government money to certain sectors that need an economic boost. These sectors who receives those dollars ... Imagine having the capability of producing any product you want at your fingertips within minutes; it is now possible because of 3D printing. Simply put, 3D printing is the process of creating real objects by printing chosen substances layer by layer until the desired product is made, therefore 3D printing is sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing. There are endless possibilities with 3D printing from the medical field, to manufacturing, automobiles, to airplanes, and also personal use. 3D printed objects are going to be an integrated part of everyday life. Contrary to what you may think, 3D printing is not new. Its roots stem from inkjet printer concepts. However, instead of printing with ink, it prints with material. The concept of 3D printing has been around for about 30 years. It inventor Chuck Hull discovered it in 1983. One day, Hull became frustrated at how long it would take for small plastic parts that he needed for his job to be manufactured and decided to fix this problem. At the time he was working for a business that made plastic veneers for tables and other furniture items. They would put this liquid like substance on objects and then dry it using Ultra Violet (UV) light. First enacted as a punishment for the act of murder, its use and subsequent abolition have been the source of significant legislative debates that have contributed to a shift in penal philosophy. Moving away from the principle of lex talionis, the Canadian government between 1957 and 1967 began to commute death sentences across the nation. This desire to limit the use of capital punishment would finally culminate in its removal form legislation in 1976. It is my opinion that Canada should not return to the principles of lex talionis and reinstate capital punishment. For submission, I offer the following arguments: [1] Capital punishment is not ... Justice, as properly understood within western legal tradition, must, as necessary condition, seek to establish truth, ensure the protection of liberties and have in place procedural safeguards to ensure that only those who are guilty of a crime are punished. Yes, it is acknowledged that in some instances there will be individuals and cases that fall through the cracks however, it is precisely for this reason that capital punishment must not be reinstated. In the interest of justice that is reputable, it is my opinion that the reinstatement of capital punishment poses to great of a risk as it relates to an innocent individual being sentenced to death. When this unfortunate event occurs, the justice in its entirety is brought into question and is ill equipped to provide sufficient remedies. If Moon phases are caused by the shadow of the Earth on the Moon, when there is a new Moon, it should lie directly behind the Earth. The sunlight would be completely blocked off from the Moon because of Earth s shadow. 2. If Moon phases are caused by the shadow of the Earth on the Moon, the Moon should be a full Moon for most of the lunar month because Earth will not cast a shadow on the Moon unless the Moon is behind the Earth. Model 2: Moon phases are caused by different angles between the Moon, Earth and Sun 1. If Moon phases are caused by different angles between the Moon and Sun, half Moons should take place when the Moon is on either side of earth related to the sun (not in between the sun and earth, and not behind the sun and earth). 2.
