Understanding
This document explains the information about Quick Brand Search Magento Extension. The
main function of this extension is to improve users shopping experience. Extension creates an
alphabetical search bar on the top of navigation bar. With this extension customers can sort the
brands in an alphabetical manner. The extension also allow the customers to search the
products related to specific brands.
The extension is an enhanced version of our Quick Alphabetical Extension.
Features
 Provides better shopping experience for customers.
 Customer can sort the brands in an alphabetical manner.
 Customers can also search the products for a specific brands.
 Extension also allows customers to see all the brands on a single page in an
alphabetical order.
 Extension is very useful for online stores with bulk products.
 Admin can also set the font colors for search links from admin panel.
Steps to be taken
>>Step-1. Login with your Magento admin.

>>Step-2. Go to system -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager
>>Step- 3. Login with Magento Connect Manager (with your Magento admin credentials)

>>Step-4. Upload package file (purchased file) in direct package file upload section and click on
upload.
>>Step-5. Return to Magento admin and clear cache from System -> Cache Management

>>Step-6. Logout from Magento admin and re-login.
How to Enable and Disable Quick Brand Search?
>>Step-1. Go to System -> Configuration -> Quick Brand Search -> Options
>>Step-2. Select “Yes” in Options to enable the extension and “No” to disable the extension.
Extension Front End Functionality:
The extension creates an Alphabetical Search Bar on the top Navigation bar of your
online store.

When users hovers on “A” alphabet in search bar extension. All the available brands
starts with “A” alphabet gets displayed in a dropdown menu.
Suppose Customer clicks on “Adidas” brand, all the products that comes under the
“Adidas” brand gets displayed.

The extension has also provides a feature which allows users to see all the available
brands on a single webpage and that’s too in an alphabetical manner.
For this users have to select the “View All” option in the Alphabetical Search Bar.
