3. Under the Maternity Benefit
Programme, PMMVY is a cash
incentive scheme in which an
amount of 5000/- would be
provided directly in the account of
Pregnant Women and Lactating
Mothers(PW&LM) for first living
child of the family.

4. PMMVY Mobile App will enable wider reach and access of the schemeβs
benefits to women in all districts of the country. This will lead to
transformation of data from manual to digital.
The mother using the PMMVY Mobile App can select her preferred
language (Hindi or any other local language).

5. The PMMVY mobile app can substitute filling of
physical forms, thereby reduce time spent by
AWW in form filling. The time saved can be
utilised in assisting pregnant women to avail
the benefit of the scheme. The data entered
by the beneficiary will have link with all
necessary forms (Form 1-A/B/C, which can be
printed for keeping record by the Anganwadi
Centre (AWC) or approved Health facility
centre.

6. The PMMVY mobile app will have facility
where the beneficiary can be guided to open
new bank/post office account into which the
benefit under the scheme can be directly
deposited.
The beneficiary should enter necessary
information and download her Aadhar. The
AWW / ASHA / ANM will then assist in
further processing of application.

7. Through PMMVY mobile app the beneficiary can make changes.
- Change in address and/or mobile number.
- Inclusion of Aadhaar Number of Beneficiary or her
Husband in case it is not provided at the time of
registration.

as in Aadhaar.

8. Antenatal Care/Regular Checkup
The mobile app will send mobile reminder message to registered
mothers on various check ups to be undertaken
during the pregnancy.
The report can be updated in the
Web based MIS system with linkage to
Mobile app. The beneficiary can
access her PMMVY account and get a
view of all the check ups undertaken
and remaining check- ups with time
schedule.

9. Grievance Redressal
The beneficiary through the PMMVY app can view information (in
various format as per prescribed forms) on her mobile. In case of any
change, the beneficiary can opt for online updation and view the
changes within given time frame (immediate/ number of hours after
change).
Incase of any further grievance, the beneficiary can either call a helpline
number/send message through the app/visit nearest AWC.

10. Privacy
The beneficiary once registered through the PMMVY app will be issued
a unique code to her registered mobile number, which will be her login
name. The beneficiary can generate her own password. The unique
username and password will be required for login to PMMVY account.
The user can also opt for OTP login instead of password.
This will ensure the data of the beneficiary is not accessed by any
unauthorised person.

11. Development of PMMVY Mobile Application
- Follow tender process for development of the mobile app. The
vendor should have experience in multi-lingual work.
- Scope of development should include training of AWW, district
co-ordinators and maintenance.
- Training of helpline personnel handling grievances over phone
and MIS team handling app based grievances.
