Good Stuff Happens in 1:1 Meetings: Why you need them and how to do them well
Is your gm car safe to drive
1. Is your GM car safe to drive?
In the wake of a 2.6 million GM vehicle recall due to ignition switch safe issue, which has been
blamed for the death of at least 12 people, GM drivers are warned of potential fire risk. There are
no known cases of a faulty auto part contributing to the death in the past few weeks. But an
investigation has revealed that when some of the accidents happened, the ignition switches failed,
turning off motors, disabling airbags and causing the death. For this reason, people start to ask, “Is
my GM car safe to drive?”
Altough Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Ion are at the center fo the recall, we cannot exclude the
possiblity that other GM cars also have the same safe issue. Here we have collected 2 simple ways
to determine if your GM vehicle is alright.
1. Connect it to a GM diagnostic tool
There are various kinds of GM diagnostic tools on the market that support diagnoses with GM
ignition system. You can choose a reliable one, such as GM Tech 2, to get your job done. Most
OBD2 tools today are very easy to use, so you do not have to worry about this.
2. Take it to your dealership or mechanic
To find out if your ignition system is safe or not, you can take your GM to a profession for
detailed inspection. Although this could be a little bit costly, to make sure your family and friends
are safe in your car, this would be worthwhile.
