13. Surface well test equipment or surface well test package
consists of items, such surface, test tree, surface Safety
Valve (SSV), data header, choke manifold, steam heat
exchanger, test separator, vertical surge tank, oil transfer
pumps, oil diverter manifold and burner. The main
purpose of the well test equipment is acquisition of the
reservoir’s data. Well test equipment is only way the
collect data of the reservoir’s oi, gas, water, and
condensate. Well test equipment shall be safe in operation
meeting HSE requirements, effective and accurate to get
data of productive capacity of a reservoir, and condition
and characteristics of reservoir to adequate analyze
reservoir performance and to forecast future production
under various mode of operation. Data from surface well
testing shall be accurate and reliable, so the client may

• Three-phase separator for well test and production
The Three Phase Test separators (3P Test Separator) are used
in well testing, well clean-ups and other flow operations for
efficient and safe separation and efficient measurement of oil,
gas and water. 3P Test Separators usually supplied with high-
accuracy instruments, control and shut-off valves, piping and
skid, and referred as Test Separator Package / Module / Skid.
Separator vessel is equipped with internal components, such as
inlet deflector, vane pack, coalescer, wave breaker, weir plates,
and mist extractor. Separator modular unit can be used both in
offshore or onshore, either in standalone item or part of the
package, and designed to fit the trailer for ensure fast and
effective mobility during operation.

Basic Specification Data
Separator can be designed as per client’s operation
conditions depending on flowrate, temperature, pressure,
working medium and other operation data. Most of the
clients, prefer size of 42 in. x 10 ft. and pressure of 1440
psi, for well test operation.

• Production three-phase separator with liquid boot
Production Separators are used in crude oil treatment and production for efficient separation of oil, gas and water. Depending on the working medium, Production
Separators can be classified as Two-phase separators or Three-phase separators. Production Separators usually supplied with high-accuracy and durable instruments,
control and shut-off valves, piping and skid, and referred as Production Separator Module / Skid. Separator vessel is equipped with internal components, such as inlet
deflector, vane pack, coalescer, wave breaker, weir plates, and mist extractor. Some projects require separator with heating system, usually electric-type, in order to
prevent waxing and emulsion-control. Control and Automation system usually supplied by the vendor of the separator for client’s convenience and for fast oil production.
Depending on the handling capacity and place of operation, can be designed for ground installation, mainly used for onshore production, or modular-designed used both
in offshore or onshore, either in standalone item or part of the package, and designed to fit the trailer for ensure fast and effective mobility during operation.
Some of the well fluid treatment facilities, use High-pressure (HP) and Low-pressure (LP) Production Separators to achieve maximum efficiency of gravitational
separation.

Filter-separator is package designed for field liquid
removing during raw natural gas production. Filter
separator equipped with quick-opening joints, nozzles, and
durable internals to ensure proper filtration meeting the
process requirements. Depending on the project operation

horizontal type usually are selected and designed.

Heat exchanger is equipment widely used both upstream and downstream facilities, built for
efficient heat transfer from one medium to another. Heat exchangers are classified by flow
arrangement, parallel flow and counterflow. Parallel flow (cocurrent) is flow when two fluids
enter the exchanger at the same end and travel parallel to one another to the other side.
Counterflow (countercurrent) is when two fluids enter the exchanger from opposite ends.

• Vertical Surge Tank
Surge tank is used for storage of produced fluids; further
separation, where longer retention time is required; and
metering to ensure effective and safe well test and
production operations. Surge tank are equipped with valve
and instrumentation, including sight glasses and calibration
strips.
