Insight – Collaboration & Sharing: The ‘CBA’s’ - Culture, Behaviors, Adoption Scenario: We recently rolled out a new release of our new collaboration tool - [fill in the blank] - that promised to help our employees [fill in the blank] and help our organization [fill in the blank].  We were expecting [fill in the blank] % of our employees to engage and actively participate in the new environment, but only [fill in the blank]% are – but those [fill in the blank]% aren’t using the tool correctly. Insight:  Tools are not the answer;  without the proper focus on instilling a collaborative Culture our employees will never have the proper Behaviors that would naturally lead to the Adoption of the tools.

Insight – Content Harvesting Scenario:For global consulting & technology organizations where people are the key assets, harvesting knowledge and content from those people to enable reuse on subsequent clients is critical to achieve business results. You have processes, tools and people to support content harvesting but it’s challenging to obtain the right content from the right people so that it’s accessible for broader reuse. Insight:People know the importance of reuse and want to share their knowledge but content harvesting tends to fall to the bottom of their busy to-do list. So before you engage in content harvesting activities, be sure to gain the proper sponsorship, focus your efforts on the most important/strategic content areas, and make it as easy as possible for people to share and contribute content.
