Effectiveness of the manual
change point in bottom punch and
padding was satisfactory.
For Permanent action – One die
set is already machined. So,
change point will be implemented
after one die run forging.

Scale pitting issue increase in all parts. Major
rework in K15C, CA and in TNGA.
To control scale pitting , following action
has been taken in padding die air spray.
1. Extra air pressure at robot 3 finger.
2. Implementation of pressure gauge at
air and water inlet to record the
pressure flow.

In total chips rework maximum observed in
K15C at web 7, 8 & FOD because use of
welded ejector pin.- not followed the W.I.
- Ejector Pin Hardness Low- Under Follow
- Ejector Spare Stock to be maintain- Done
- Ejector pin Welded Never used in
Production. - Under Monitoring.
- Ejector Pin Height to be maintain as per
drawing Standard Length- Done

Maximum rework in K15C and CA because of
Arm 1 oversize in K15C and web cut mark in
Arm-1 oversize in K15C – we modified
Internal control limits in Hourly

Permanent action : Blocker and finisher die modal revised by adding the material at Pin 2 collar, Journal 3 side. Effectiveness of the manual change point in bottom punch and padding was satisfactory. For Permanent action – One die set is already machined. So, change point will be implemented after one die run forging.

Surface Crack (2.09 %) Die Crack mark on the non machining area of crankshaft. (Crack Die used for CA and tnga2.0 for forging) and die serration mark in K15C. Die crack mark impression on non- machining of crankshaft which we used to grind and polish the surface. (CA and tnga2.0 Crack die Used) Scale Pitting (1.56 %) Scale pitting issue increase in all parts. Major rework in K15C, CA and in TNGA. To control scale pitting , following action has been taken in padding die air spray. 1. Extra air pressure at robot 3 finger. 2. Implementation of pressure gauge at air and water inlet to record the pressure flow. Chips (1.27 %) In total chips rework maximum observed in K15C at web 7, 8 & FOD because use of welded ejector pin.- not followed the W.I. - Ejector Pin Hardness Low- Under Follow - Ejector Spare Stock to be maintain- Done - Ejector pin Welded Never used in Production. - Under Monitoring. - Ejector Pin Height to be maintain as per drawing Standard Length- Done Others (0.32 %) In others rework category, rework because of Arm oversize, Extra material, cut mark and Fold. Maximum rework in K15C and CA because of Arm 1 oversize in K15C and web cut mark in Arm-1 oversize in K15C – we modified Internal control limits in Hourly production report.
