This document summarizes a student group's visit to Kelantan Biotech Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a plant tissue culture company in Kelantan, Malaysia. The objectives of the visit were to learn about the tissue culture industry and process. Kelantan Biotech produces plants through tissue culture for the industrial, agricultural, and health sectors. They culture ornamental plants, herbs, and bananas. Challenges include contamination risks and the need for more experienced culturists. Suggestions include providing more training, increasing production rates, and restricting lab rules to prevent contamination.

3. INTRODUCTION
 Kelantan Biotech Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
products are made to industrial, agriculture and
health sector.
 The main office is located at Labok, Machang
 Consist of 3 section that are lab for plant tissue
culture, nursery for planting the successful plant
culture that transferred from lab, and the last is
the factory that produce Effective
Microorganism(EM).
 A first company that do plant tissue culture in
Kelantan.

4.  They also produce the ornamental plants and
herbs for example orchids and taro mice
(keladi tikus).
 also carried out research (R & D) for
improvement.
 The prices offered are affordable and KBCSB
also ready to take orders from people if they
are interested to make reservations and buy
tissue culture plantlets.

6. POTENTIAL OF TISSUE CULTURE IN
AGRICULTURE
 can be used to produce thousand clones of
a plant at shorter time( increasing the
production potential)
 can support the high food stock demand
 able to culture new plants though the
climates are not appropriate to produce a
plant. Moreover, if seed is not available, it
is possible to produce a plant with this
method.

diseases, uniform in their shape and output,
plants with better flowers, odors, fruits or any
other properties of the plants that are
beneficial to the human beings.

Give more training to the new comers

Many useful knowledge were gain.
Able to make analysis on tissue culture
industry.
Contamination is the major lost in tissue
culture.
