3. Hot Tips …
Glasses
If you wear glasses and cannot do without them please ensure
you have a spare pair or a copy of your prescription information
in case they get lost/broken and need to be replaced ( this
happened last year )
Contact info
I will post a contact phone number on the blog
tgshawaii.wordpress.com once we arrive.
I will also update the blog each night.
Phones and Wifi
There is free wifi in the hotel so students will be able to use
skype/facetime/viber to be in contact. This also means that Data
(and push notifications) can be switched off on smartphones
once we are about to board the plane
4. Money.
I have found in the past that taking some cash and then taking more
out once we are there has been the best way if you don’t want to take
your whole budget in cash. Cash can be left in the teachers room safes
in a named bag.
Things to get organised this month.
2 x Plug adapter and 4 plug multi board for each room (students need
to decide who will get them for their room)
Sort out roaming on your cellphone (and data) or decide to get a pre
pay sim with USA number when we arrive.
Travel insurance organised. ( and any medication you need ) House of
travel can do travel insurance for our group for $140 each ( please let me
know if you want to order this and i will do a group purchase )
Decide how you are taking money and order your US dollars
