1. I was born on a sunny morning. It was May, 1985. My country was
called the Soviet Union. It was a difficult time, but it was my
childhood, and I was happy. Thanks to my parents for this!

2. I was not a popular student at school, but I was good at maths and
my teachers prepared me to go to a ‘technical’ university. However I
decided that spending my whole life on numbers and figures was not
my cup of tea, and decided instead to enroll at a ‘pedagogical’
university.

3. My schooldays taught me to be active, and I took part in the social
and scientific life of my university, as well as working as a
psychologist in a kindergarten. In five years I became a qualified
social teacher and psychologist.

4. After university I decided to move to Moscow. I had ambitions and
Moscow provided the opportunity to realise them. I had been
selecting IT-specialists in an HR recruitment agency for 2 years,
when I recognized that the work was too ‘procedural’ and I decided
to change my life.

5. I studied at the National Research University Higher School of
Economics, in the department of Organizational Psychology, from
where I gained a master’s degree of psychology.

6. At the same time I changed my professional field, becoming a
usability specialist, working in that role in a usability-agency for 2
years. I worked on projects with such clients as mobile and tax
operators, insurance providers, banks and others – mainly web-
based.

7. Despite the fact that my experience as a usability specialist had been
successful, I always felt I was lacking in education in this field and I
decide to enroll on the User System Interaction Program at the
Technical University of Eindhoven. Work in multicultural and
multidisciplinary teams has expanded and enhanced my professional
skills. The USI Program has provided me with the ideal preparation
for a future career in the user experience field.
