Code ABC MOOC for Teachers 2015 – 2017
About 1000 teachers / year (2600 registered)
3000-6000 teachers “trained” (~10% teachers)
Pre-School – 1-2 grade teachers: ScratchJr,
3-6 grades teachers : Scratch
7-9. grades teachers: Racket or Python
5-8 weeks to complete. Certificate.
“Reflecting on changes in teaching practice
and ideas on how to use programming as a tool
in all teaching from sports, music, home
economics and crafts to languages and STEM.”
(1) Weekly programming exercises.
(2) Own final programming project.
(3) Plan on how of integrate coding to an existing
classroom teaching.
