3. STEP 1 & 2
FIG. 1
Begin with a square piece of paper ‐‐ ideally
one side colored and the other plain. Place
the colored side face up on the table. In all
diagrams, the shaded part represents the
colored side (Fig 1) FIG. 2.1
1. Fold the paper in half diagonally (Fig. 2.1 ).
2. Fold the triangle in half, then separate the
two quarters into a square shape (Fig 2.2)

4. STEP 3 & 4

3. Fold the outside corners to meet the
middle (just the top ones), and make a
crease on the top corner (Fig. 3)
4. Repeat the process with the rear layer, FIG. 4
going the other direction (Fig. 4)

5. STEP 5 & 6

5. Open the middle wings back up (Fig. 5)
6. Fold the bottom corner on the top
layer up and flatten it into a

diamond shape (Fig. 6)

6. STEP 7 & 8

7. Repeat the last step with the
back layer (Fig. 7)
8. Fold the front outside
corners along the dotted FIG. 8
lines. Repeat with the other
side (Fig. 8) Fold the other top corner on top

7. STEP 9 & 10

9. Fold the front corners together,
repeat the same process on the
back layer as well (Fig. 9)

10. Fold the bottom corners up
along the dotted line (Fig. 10)

8. STEP 11 & 12

11. Fold the tip along the dotted line (Fig. 11)
12. Fold the right side over. Repeat with
the back side (Fig. 12) FIG. 12

9. STEP 13 & 14

13. Pull the head and tail out to
about a 30 degree angle from
the body. Fold the wings down
along the dotted lines (Fig. 13)

10. STEP 15
15. And it's done!
